Forza Horizon 5 is stuffed full of online activity to take part in during its winter season, however there are few that are more fun than the Horizon Tour. But what exactly is the Horizon Tour, what kind of race type, and what do you get for taking part? Here's everything you need to know about the Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour, including how to access it, what it is, and rewards.

Taking part in more Forza Horizon 5 seasonal events? We've got some guides for you.

Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour: What Is The Horizon Tour?

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour in action, as two cars splash through water.

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour is one of the many activities that you can race through as part of the seasonal event. Forza Horizon 5 is currently in its winter season, offering up the ID Zerouno '18 and Subaru 22B vehicles, which you can only unlock by earning points. The Horizon Tour is one of those many ways to earn points.

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour itself is a three-race co-op event where players will face off in two teams of six, split between the red and blue team. The goal is to have the majority of your team place in the top six to earn points, and as such, you don't want to be running your team off the road just for you to get first place. The race takes place on dirt tracks and will use C-Class vehicles. Once any given race is over you will then drive collectively to the next race, and so on.

Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour: How To Access The Horizon Tour

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour in the menus.

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour can easily be found in the Festival playlist. Just hit the pause button and find the playlist on the left of the world map. Once in there, you will be treated to the current reward cars, along with weekly and daily challenges. Scroll through to the right until you come across the various activities. On the bottom right, you should see the Horizon Tour Co-Op Championship. By clicking on it, you will be put into a waiting lobby, before eventually joining the Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour. Since this is a part of the winter season, you will only have until December 4 to take part in it.

  • Want to know the roads of these races a little better? We've got a Forza Horizon 5 map guide you should have a look at.

Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour: Rewards

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour podium.

Of course, the ultimate reward for the Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour is to gain enough points to earn the latest legendary cars. For that, the Horizon Tour will grant you three Forza Points. For context, you will need 22 and 42 points to earn either of the reward cars. Additionally, from taking part in the event you will earn your usual rung of XP and skill points, which obviously increase depending on your position in the race. If this is your first Horizon Tour race, you will also earn the Tourist Attraction achievement.

That's everything you need to know about the Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour. Looking for an activity that will bag you a little bit more money? Check out our Forza Horizon 5 Goliath glitch .

A list of all the Forza Horizon 5 Tour races/schedule rotation

horizon 5 tour

Forza Horizon 5 Tour is a co-op multiplayer mode where you and a team of five other players compete against AI drivatars in three consecutive Apex, Wilds or Baja races across the map. Whether you came across the Forza Horizon 5 Tour races from the Festival Playlist or it’s already one of your favorite FH5 features due to its cooperative nature and more lowkey, laidback nature compared to competitive online races, what might not be apparent from the get-go is a definitive list of all the Forza Horizon 5 Tour races nor their rotation schedule.

Which is why we’ve put together this list of all the Forza Horizon 5 Tour races, the schedule they follow by the hour and which cars fall under each race category so you won’t be left in the dust by your convoy or more importantly, the drivatar opposition.

Forza Horizon is the open-world counterpart of the legendary Xbox Forza racing franchise, and Forza Horizon 5 is the latest entry in the series. Following the hugely successful Forza Horizon 5, FH5 sets the bar even higher with an expanded open-world set in Mexico, hundreds of cars, and countless quality-of-life improvements and additions.

Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios know how to deliver a premium open-world racing experience, with Forza Horizon 5 solidly maintaining its position as one of the best Xbox racing games and best PC racing games released in recent memory. Of course, FH5 is also gargantuan, with an absurd amount of content capable of keeping even the most hardcore completionists busy for dozens of hours.

Here's everything you need to know about Forza Horizon 5 for Xbox and PC now that it's officially released.

Forza Horizon 5

Playground Games has delivered its latest masterpiece with Forza Horizon 5, which features the series' most diverse map and largest car list yet. The game continues to grow over time, as well, giving players even more reasons to jump in.

Forza Horizon 5 is the follow-up game to Playground Games' Forza Horizon 4 from 2018. Like other Forza Horizon games, Forza Horizon 5 is an open-world racing game with gorgeous visuals, accessible driving mechanics, and a massive roster of high-quality, licensed vehicles from dozens of manufacturers, all centered around the fabled Forza Horizon festival. And, also like previous Forza Horizon games, FH5 is exclusive to Xbox and PC platforms.

Forza Horizon 5 is the more arcade-like open-world counterpart to the highly anticipated eighth Forza Motorsport . While Forza Horizon 5 is available now, fans will have to wait a while longer for the arrival of Forza Motorsport (2023). Playground Games and Turn10 share a ton of technology and resources between them, as well, which means FH5 may give us a peek at the quality that can be expected from Forza Motorsport.

Forza Horizon 5 is akin to a "car-lovers sandbox," and lets you play however you want. While there is a story and full-blown campaign with the Horizon Adventure, Expeditions, and smaller Horizon Stories, it's still up to players how they progress and what path they take. All in all, the focus of Forza Horizon 5 is the vast arsenal of cars, the wide variety of races and events, the sheer level of creative freedom available, and the deeply integrated online multiplayer gameplay.

With the Festival Playlist making its return in Forza Horizon 5 — complete with a wide variety of improvements and expansions — along with planned premium expansions and more, FH5 is looking forward to years of constant post-launch support and love. Also, the Forza Horizon community can contribute more to the game's longevity than ever before, with the inclusion of EventLab and other creator tools providing endless possibilities for Forza Horizon 5.

That isn't to say the game is perfect. Forza Horizon 5 has plenty of issues , but Playground is perpetually tracking them and fixing them with constant patch updates and hotfixes.

Windows Central reviews Forza Horizon 5

Official screenshot of Forza Horizon 5.

Our Forza Horizon 5 preview showed that FH5 was truly deserving of the hype, and gave us hope that the ambitious title would actually deliver on all of its promises. Our Forza Horizon 5 road trip helped us fall in love with the gorgeous world long before release.

With our full Forza Horizon 5 review , it was confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt that Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios have crafted one of the best racing games of all time, a title that will provide hours of fun for years to come and doubtlessly inspire future racing titles. Even when FH5 players have gotten through the majority of content in the base game, Forza Horizon 5's multiplayer is grander and more accessible than ever before , with a nearly endless amount of content to explore.

There's certainly a lot to love about Forza Horizon 5, even if there's still room for Playground to improve its formula further with the next Forza Horizon title. Forza Horizon 5 is more than just another racing game , and has cemented itself as the premiere racing game on any platform.

Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels

The first full-blown DLC expansion for Playground Games' flagship title is Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels , which adds a ton of fresh content to the game. As the name suggests, this expansion is made in collaboration with the Hot Wheels brand, and as such features a variety of Hot Wheels cars and a brand-new map filled with diverse, twisting, looping, and speeding Hot Wheels tracks.

Our own Brendan Lowry wrote that Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels makes him "feel like a kid again," highlighting how the new DLC embraces pure, unfettered fun in its quest to add hours of additional gameplay to FH5's base experience. Players can explore a new standalone campaign and complete a variety of missions and challenges while they explore the varied biomes of the world-in-the-sky.

Screenshot of the full Forza Horizon 5 Adventure map.

Interestingly, Forza Horizon 5 is the first time where the map is exactly what was originally planned — no map content had to be cut throughout development. Even more impressive, it'll continue to evolve over time, with Festival Playlist and Series updates able to alter the world with new decorations, races and events, and more.

What are all the cars and vehicles in Forza Horizon 5?

Official screenshot of Forza Horizon 5.

It can be tough to keep track of every car in a Forza Horizon game, especially when you're looking for something specific, but our Forza Horizon 5 full car list is constantly updated with every car we know of, including gifts, DLC additions, special cars, and much more.

There are already well over 600 cars in Forza Horizon 5, including legendary vehicles like the DeLorean, and Playground Games will continue to add more as time goes on through the Car Pass, expansions, the Festival Playlist, and more. If you want to be the first to know about new additions as they happen, be sure to bookmark our ultimate FH5 car list above.

What is the story & campaign in Forza Horizon 5?

Official screenshot of Forza Horizon 5 depicting a car's steering wheel.

While the story or plot in a racing game may not be the most crucial element for some players, it can still add a lot to the experience for those who do appreciate it. Forza Horizon 4 was gently criticized by the community for its lackluster story and general lack of direction for players, so Playground Games went back to the drawing board for Forza Horizon 5. FH5 takes players on a journey through the Horizon Adventure to have their name added to the Hall of Fame, and the drive there should be pretty wild.

Here's everything we know about the story and campaign in Forza Horizon 5:

  • Haley is your number one when it comes to the know-how of Horizon Mexico and making things happen. She's a good friend of Keira, who filled a similar role in Forza Horizon 4 (and is apparently still there looking after Horizon Britain)
  • You are the boss of Horizon Mexico, and that means it's up to you to decide what direction the Festival goes in. It's also important to note that you are the champion of Horizon Britain, so your name is known far and wide in Mexico
  • For the first time ever, your character has voiced lines and interacts with other characters throughout the story, which is a big shift for how Forza Horizon titles handle story content
  • You have to reach the Hall of Fame to unlock Forza Horizon 5's end game, which includes new Accolades, Horizon Stories, and The Trial mode for the Festival Playlist
  • Horizon Adventure has its own charming screen in FH5 that clearly outlines the areas and chapters, and will be the hub from which players will choose their path. The Horizon Adventure screen is visually distinct with amazing-looking stylized graphics
  • The Horizon Adventure is how you unlock Expeditions (covered below), new Festival sites, Showdowns, and much more
  • Individual areas in the Horizon Adventure feature unique themes, Festival sites, Horizon Stories, and much more
  • It'll take approximately 10 to 30 hours for most players to finish the Horizon Adventure and reach the Hall of Fame, depending on their priorities and playstyle
  • There are thousands of Accolades, but players will not need to 100% them to finish the FH5 story. After completing the campaign, there will still be plenty of reasons to play and new Accolades to complete
  • Accolade progression continues no matter how you play FH5, be it with solo play, online, in co-op, or anywhere else
  • Expeditions go all over Mexico, including over an active volcano, through a storm-torn jungle, and more. Expeditions also put players behind the wheel of a variety of vehicles
  • Expeditions feature optional Accolades to complete while on your journey, like finding specific locations, taking pictures, choosing spots for gear and sites, and more
  • You can play Expeditions by yourself, or in co-op with friends, and all progress is retained no matter what
  • Horizon Stories feature multiple chapters that can be played through, which can carry individual stories all over the world
  • Horizon Stories can also feature branching paths and player choices, which can be replayed at any time
  • Horizon Showcases . Forza Horizon's massive Showcase events have always been a way to show off how far the game can go, and allow players to display their skills and feel like a true racing master. In Forza Horizon 5, players are able to participate in four Horizon Showcases, which promise to be bigger and grander than ever before. The first Showcase pits players against a cargo plane, and another Showcase will have players race a train once again.

What are the features & gameplay in Forza Horizon 5?

Screenshot of Forza Horizon 5.

A new Forza Horizon game always comes with at least a handful of new features and improvements over its predecessor, but Forza Horizon 5 delivers even greater amounts of content to players. The extra year of development Forza Horizon 5 got over previous entries in the series clearly helped things along because there is a lot about which to talk. Not only has Playground Games baked in significantly more content into Forza Horizon 5's base game, but it's also given the community a way to add essentially infinite new events and races to Forza Horizon 5 over time. FH5's online features have seen significant improvements to more completely connect players all around the world.

Here's everything we know about the features and gameplay in Forza Horizon 5:

Game features and visuals

Official screenshot of Forza Horizon 5.

This is the biggest Forza Horizon in more ways than one, which means players have more ways to play and more reasons to keep returning. This is also by far one of the most gorgeous games we've ever seen, and Playground Games has achieved this feat with several methods.

Here are some of the best features about Forza Horizon 5 and its visuals:

  • Horizon Mexico is the main Horizon Festival site in Forza Horizon 5, where players begin their journey. This site is situated on an abandoned airstrip (great for drag races) and right next to a fantastic racing circuit
  • Horizon Apex features a number of asphalt road races, and focuses on high-performance vehicles
  • Horizon Wilds is Apex, as it revolves around dirt roads and offroad racing
  • Horizon Rush is set back in the wild canyons of Mexico, and revolves around dangerous and ridiculous PR stunts like jumps, speed traps, and more
  • For the very first time, Forza Horizon's semi-legal Street Scene racing series gets its own tournament, with the aptly named Horizon Street Scene Festival
  • Finally, Horizon Baja is all about cross-country racing through a variety of environments, and can be found in FH5's Living Desert biome
  • There are at least 15 Barn Finds in FH5
  • Our Forza Horizon 5 Barn Finds list keeps track of every Barn Find in FH5, including how to unlock it yourself
  • The use of photogrammetry, which saw Playground Games send dedicated teams of photographers all over Mexico to take thousands of pictures of locations and objects, to accurately capture everything from the individual needles on a cactus to the unique texture of volcanic boulders. Almost everything in Forza Horizon 5 is based on photogrammetry
  • A 12K resolution recording of the real Mexican sky, meaning the sky you see in Forza Horizon 5 literally couldn't look more authentic if it tried. This also makes the sky feel more dynamic as time passes and the weather changes
  • The addition of more 3D effects, like new dynamic weather events, which evolve from pure textures to actual 3D occurrences that can affect the world and player perspective
  • The addition of ray tracing when in Forzavista, showcasing Forza Horizon 5's cars in the most realistic light possible
  • The highest amount of detail on roads for a Forza Horizon game, including location-specific textures (like deteriorating quality as players approach the volcano)
  • Hundreds of cinematics and cutscenes, which tie in with FH5's newly revitalized story and campaign elements
  • Photo and Drone Modes . Forza Horizon games have always been visual showcases, and it stands to reason that players would want to show off their custom cars when playing. Photo Mode returns in Forza Horizon 5, and takes advantage of FH5's numerous visual and graphical upgrades. On top of this, Drone Mode is also here, letting players fly around Mexico by leaving their cars behind.
  • Updated user interface (UI) . The UI in Forza Horizon 5 finally gets a long-overdue redesign, which makes activities like car customization and more in Forza Horizon 5 more accessible and efficient. Menus are simplified and are easier to scan, while various menus are completely redesigned, such as car upgrades and customization.
  • Drivatars and traffic . Drivatars return in Forza Horizon 5, as expected, giving players realistic and challenging opponents to go up against when not racing online. AI Drivatars have been overhauled in Forza Horizon 5 to be more receptive to individual players' abilities and offer a more realistic and dynamic experience.
  • Force feedback has been greatly improved, partially thanks to improved physics systems like suspensions and braking
  • Far more settings and options for players who use a wheel, which are also contextual
  • The best Forza Horizon 5 steering wheels all take advantage of these improvements across a variety of price points and needs
  • Achievements support . Forza Horizon 5 of course features Achievements for players to unlock and complete, and the full Forza Horizon 5 Achievements list breaks down how to finish them all.
  • Different currencies . Forza Horizon 5 features a lot of currencies , with each having a different purpose, including XP, Credits, Kudos, Forzathon Points, Skill Points, and Accolade Points. FH5 introduces these currencies and their uses gradually to players, so that they never become overwhelming.

Open world, biomes, and seasons

Screenshot of Forza Horizon 5 depicting trucks driving across the desert.

Forza Horizon 5 has a broad open world to explore, and marks the return of seasons that were introduced in Forza Horizon 4. Forza Horizon 5's map is also the largest and most diverse world we've ever seen in a Forza Horizon game, with major changes even for existing features like seasons and weather.

Here are some of the best features about Forza Horizon 5's world:

  • The largest highway in a Forza Horizon game yet, which stretches nearly corner to corner in Forza Horizon 5
  • Several towns and cities, all of which capture Mexican culture in beautiful and colorful ways
  • The return of multiple Horizon Festival sites, with the first Festival site being located on top of an old racetrack and airstrip (that's right, drag racing!)
  • Arid Hills — An excellent choice for offroading fans, the Arid Hills biome feature dry and grassy plains and hills, and even feature a lake that dries up in the winter and opens up new secrets and routes
  • Canyon — One of the more striking FH5 areas, the Canyon biome is filled with unique rock formations and striations, including the existence of hoodoos (rock pillars and columns) and tons of reverb and echoes for audio
  • Farmland — Farmlands in FH5 aren't like the farms in previous games, and feature lots of hilly and varied terrain filled with diverse foliage and vegetation, fruit-bearing trees, and much more for players to explore
  • Jungle — As in the real world, the Jungle biome in FH5 is the most foliage dense and claustrophobic of all the biomes, with a ton of trees and other vegetation, heavy fog from heat and humidity, and a ton of secrets for players to discover
  • Living Desert — Not every desert is dry and full of nothing but sand, as is proven by the Living Desert biome in FH5, which features a ton of vegetation like cactuses and flowers, and even boasts of unique rock formations
  • Urban City — Headlined by Guanajuato, the Urban City biome is exactly as the name implies: an urban area densely packed with beautiful buildings showcasing Mexican architecture and culture, and lots of tight roads to drive down
  • Sand Desert — The Sand Desert biome is closer to your typical desert, and is perfect for speed demons and offroading fanatics, as it features tons of towering sand dunes and long, straight roads
  • Swamp — One of the most interesting biomes in FH5 is the Swamp, an absolutely gorgeous area that connects jungles to oceans and is filled with beautiful blue-green shallow water, rooted mangrove trees that can be crashed through, and more
  • Tropical Coast — Most of the time, the Tropical Coast biome in FH5 is the definition of a picturesque Mexican vacation, with resorts, long white-sanded beaches, palm trees, and more, but that all changes with tropical storms in the wet season
  • Rocky Coast — While it's still bordering the ocean, the Rocky Coast biome is the polar opposite of the Tropical Coast (they appear on opposite ends, in fact), and is characterized by unique rock formations, long uninterrupted beaches, and a golf course
  • Volcano — The Volcano is not only the largest geographical location ever in a Forza Horizon game, but it's also the highest and features blistering blizzards, long winding roads, and even a volcanic research center and satellite dish
  • Every season behaves and looks different depending on where you are on the map (you can be in a blizzard on the mountain top and then drive down to the sweltering coast, for example)
  • Biomes completely change for different seasons, including some areas only being accessible during a specific season
  • Seasons affect gameplay in new and exciting ways and are even more deeply integrated. There are new events, challenges, and rewards for every season
  • The season will still change once every week
  • Seasons are localized for how they appear in Mexico, meaning Spring is the Hot Season, Summer is the Wet Season, Autumn is the Storm Season, and Winter is the Dry Season
  • Storm chasing, which means players can keep an eye out for major storms and literally track them across Forza Horizon 5's world
  • Tropical and dust storms, which have huge and dramatic effects on the world. Dust storms are 3D, encapsulating everything and obstructing your view. Tropical storms shred trees and everything else in the area with high levels of wind, causing a buildup of debris
  • These storms can grow and swell as they occur, but tend to stick in the location they started in. Storms can appear in multiple locations around the map
  • Playground Games used an updated version of their sky capture rig, which uses three 8K cameras to stitch together a 12K picture of the sky
  • Over 400 hours and 75TB of the Mexican sky was recorded, with the best parts picked out to be used in FH5
  • Forza Horizon 5 uses advanced interpolation and algorithms to seamlessly stitch these recordings together, creating a nonstop and authentic Mexican sky
  • All this work means there are significantly more weather presets for races and events, up to 2,000 (versus just over 300 in Forza Horizon 4)
  • Original compositions from Mexican musicians for FH5's soundtrack
  • Original artwork and murals from seven Mexican artists, including the one in the FH5 debut gameplay trailer by Farid Rueda
  • Mexican writers and voice actors, which portray many of the characters in FH5
  • A ton of foliage, including cactus, is smashable in Forza Horizon 5, so you don't have to worry about them getting in your way
  • Animals make a return, including flamingos, wild dogs, donkeys, goats, horned sheep, parrots and other birds, and more. Animals are more intelligent than in Forza Horizon 4, and can even have unique behaviors
  • A ridiculous attention to detail, including how flocks of monarch butterflies can appear in certain locations and certain times of the year, coinciding with the annual monarch butterfly migration that moves through Mexico
  • Plenty of pop culture references and easter eggs . Forza Horizon 5 features a ton of references to popular forms of media and secret easter eggs, both in its Achievements list and its world. If you pay close attention, who knows how many you'll be able to discover.

You can see more screenshots of Forza Horizon 5's gorgeous world below.

Cars, character, and event customization

Official screenshot of Forza Horizon 5.

If there's one thing that brings Forza Horizon players together like nothing else, it's the sheer level of creative freedom afforded by the games. Forza Horizon 5 is the most customizable and inclusive Forza Horizon yet, with nearly infinite replayability thanks to new player tools and features. Players have control over their cars, in-game characters, races, and even full-blown unique events you can't find anywhere else.

For even more in-depth information, we've compiled complete guides on upgrading cars in Forza Horizon 5 , which details everything you need to know about customizing your car and improving upon it. For those that wish to go even deeper, we also have a comprehensive guide on tuning cars in Forza Horizon 5 after you finish upgrading them.

Here are the best features about Forza Horizon 5's car, character, and event customization:

  • Major improvements to the interface for designing and painting cars, to make it closer to modern image editing software
  • You can port liveries and car designs from Forza Horizon 4
  • Hundreds of new visual upgrade parts for cars
  • Over 100 new rim options
  • Thousands of new performance upgrades for cars, including over 500 new engine swaps
  • The ability to paint brake calipers, which has been a requested feature for years now
  • Full body kits and new aero options, which significantly alter the look of supported cars
  • Improved car physics . One of the smaller, but still welcomed, improvements in Forza Horizon 5 is the return of "drivetrain flex," which essentially refers to how cars wobble when revving their engines or accelerating. This ties into massively improved (and rebuilt) suspension and braking systems, which contribute to more realistic offroading in FH5 (and a brand-new "Offroad" performance stat for all cars). Finally, tire physics has also been massively improved, with all-new tire compounds available to upgrade your cars. These updates actually make driving easier in FH5, since cars behave closer to how you'd expect, and can be upgraded in more nuanced ways.
  • Improved tire smoke and effects . The Forza Horizon community has also critiqued the tire smoke in Forza Horizon games in the past, and Playground listened here, too. Tire smoke in Forza Horizon 5 gets a big upgrade to have more volume and presence in the world, and these upgrades also apply to other effects like kicking up sand or dirt. Tire smoke even changes depending on how hot your tires are and how hot the current season is.
  • Return of Skill Points . Every car you drive in Forza Horizon 5 has a collection of perks you can spend Skill Points to unlock, known as Car Mastery, which grants unique bonuses and perks to your car (such as increased XP, Credits, or even new cars).
  • Car Collection screen . Forza Horizon 5 features a Car Collection screen, which is almost a "sticker book" of every available car in the game. Players can come here to view their car collection and see what vehicles they're missing, purchase missing cars in the collection directly from this screen, and even redeem rewards for reaching milestones and completing manufacturer collections. Rewards include XP, credits, and even exclusive Forza Edition cars.
  • Major improvements to inclusivity, including options for pronouns, a more diverse selection of base characters, and prosthetic limbs
  • Hundreds of new clothing options
  • New choices for voices and hairstyles
  • While rarer clothing items are still obtained through Horizon Wheelspins, most of FH5's clothing and character customization items can be obtained through a new dedicated clothing shop
  • Multiple Player Houses . Forza Horizon 5's Player Houses provide new places for players to rest, customize their cars and character, engage with the Festival Playlist, and more. There are seven to purchase, and each one features unique perks and rewards.
  • Tools and options similar to the ones used by Forza Horizon developers
  • The ability to individually place objects, tracks, items, and more, to custom design your track or world
  • The ability to choose game objectives and rules, to create something truly unique
  • EventLab will improve over time as the community provides feedback
  • Races made in EventLab can even appear on the FH5 map for players
  • Playground will pick the best and coolest modes and events from EventLab to showcase in Festival Playlists and Horizon Arcade
  • Possibilities are endless enough that Playground genuinely has no idea what the community will be able to accomplish with EventLab
  • The Route Creator has been augmented with features from FH4's Super7, and is now a part of the EventLab umbrella
  • Related to how some cars will have convertible tops that can be toggled on the go, different cars in Forza Horizon 5 also feature different driving modes that players can toggle between.

Online play and social features

Official screenshot of Forza Horizon 5.

Online and social features have long been a huge part of Forza Horizon, connecting players across the open world and making it easier to play together. Forza Horizon 5 makes big changes to make online play more accessible and seamless than ever before, with a host of new features to incentivize players to participate in online events and play. This means new tools, events, and more in Forza Horizon 5.

Here are some of the best features about Forza Horizon 5's online play:

  • Horizon Life . Forza Horizon 5 does away with its limited 24-player servers and instead includes one massive server that everyone connects to simultaneously, making FH5 more "MMO-like." This is contextual, so players are more likely to run into other players in different locations, like cities. It means you're more likely to find nearby players interested in engaging in activities like Horizon Arcade and Tour.
  • Open Racing, which includes a wide variety of classic race events
  • Open Drifting, which lets players test out their drifting skills on a variety of surfaces
  • Playground Games, a cleverly named series that combines a ton of game modes like Flag Rush, King, and more
  • The Eliminator, a Battle Royale mode that debuted late in FH4's career and returns in Forza Horizon 5
  • Horizon Tour . Related to Horizon Open, Tour lets you meet up to five other players and travel to various race locations to battle it out against AI Drivatars. Horizon Tours periodically change their location and themes (types of vehicles and customization allowed, etc.), meaning there's plenty of variety. Using Forza LINK (more below), you can seamlessly join convoys and Horizon Tours at any point.
  • Horizon Arcade . Forza Horizon 5 is packed with a ton of new mini-games, all of which fit under the Horizon Arcade banner. These aren't game modes for which you need to search. Instead, they happen dynamically all over the Forza Horizon 5 map as public events while you're driving around with other players. Players can participate in these spontaneous events to earn Forzathon Points.
  • Forza LINK . Forza Horizon's ANNA AI isn't going anywhere, but the antiquated "Chat" option is replaced with another AI: LINK. LINK intelligently keeps track of what players enjoy playing, how they've progressed, and what they're currently up to when playing online, and helps you connect with other people with seamless and easy recommendations, as well as contextual chat.
  • Kudos . A new social currency in Forza Horizon 5, Kudos can be gifted to players (or received). This encourages players to practice fair and generous gameplay, as Kudos can be gifted for helping players out, being a good sport, giving Gift Drops, creating awesome things, and more. Collecting Kudos can help you unlock new flairs, which can be attached to your player label.
  • Players can customize what group of FH5 players can get the Gift Drop (new, returning, or Hall of Fame players), choose from a selection of friendly messages, and can optionally sign the package
  • Gift Drops do permanently remove the selected vehicle from your garage, but someone else will get to keep that car forever
  • Whenever you find a Gift Drop, you're able to give the gifting player a Kudos
  • The Gift Drop is left in a Barn Find on the receiving player's map, so they can go and pick it up
  • Festival Playlist . Returned from Forza Horizon 4, the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist is new and improved. Weekly and monthly updates are planned for Forza Horizon 5, with the Festival Playlist offering several hours of additional gameplay every week and exclusive rewards. The above guide includes everything you need to know about the Festival Playlist, including the current challenges and rewards.
  • You can start playing online or with co-op immediately after the opening drive and first Horizon Story in FH5

Audio and car sounds

Official screenshot of Forza Horizon 5.

Forza Horizon 4 is a fantastic game in practically every way, but there is one thing that it consistently lacks in according to the Forza community: car sounds. Forza Horizon 4 uses the same car sounds repeatedly for multiple vehicles, features low-quality recordings, and has a tendency to make every car sound practically the same. Forza Horizon 5 features substantial and colossal advancements in audio design and car sounds, and is a notable improvement over its predecessor.

Here's what you need to know about audio in Forza Horizon 5:

  • No more "dyno" recording method . Many other racing games use the "dyno" method to record their car audio, which effectively straps a car in and records it revving up to max. This method is officially retired in FH5, as it's inherently limiting and doesn't accurately capture a car's complex sounds.
  • Live recording on a track or airstrip . Instead, Forza Horizon 5 leans fully into Playground Games' favorite method of recording: strapping a bunch of microphones to a car and driving it around. This leads to more authentic and varied engine sounds per car.
  • Playground also went the extra mile by ensuring they recorded a ton of different individual upgrade parts and levels, so that engine sounds accurately shift with the addition of new and improved upgraded parts
  • 100% use of the granular synthesis technique, versus only 10-15% in Forza Horizon 4. Granular synthesis lets Playground chop up audio files into many segments and stitch them together seamlessly as needed. This means no matter how you're driving, your cars will always sound dynamic and natural
  • Car audio is always 90 FPS, versus the 60 FPS the game plays at normally. Combined with granular synthesis, this means car sounds in Forza Horizon 5 are incredibly reactive, with no gaps between action and sound
  • Forza Horizon 5 also uses a brand-new modular audio system, which can intelligently recognize your car, its engine type, and its various engine upgrades, and pull from the existing library of sounds to create a unique and natural sound, including for engine upgrades like turbochargers, superchargers, exhausts, and much more, and distinct sounds like transmission whines and the characteristic sound of an electric or hybrid car
  • Improvements to tire sounds are also included, with FH5 able to use all of its upgrades (including the new modular system) to adapt tire sounds to the car and tire type being used
  • Engine upgrades can be heard in real-time . FH5 lets you hear engine upgrades in real-time while customizing your car with a new "Rev engine" button. You can hear the difference between different engine upgrades like intakes, camshafts, and more, and even between entire engine swaps.
  • Audio is muffled accurately when inside a closed car
  • New FH5 audio systems track how sound travels around the inside of a car, including reverb
  • Convertibles will have different first-person soundscapes depending on whether or not the top is up or down
  • Ray tracing occlusion also means players can pinpoint the locations of nearby cars (even around buildings and other obstacles) by the noises of their engines
  • Forza Horizon 5 sounds better on Xbox Series X|S . Microsoft's current-gen gaming consoles unlock a new compression format for audio. This means FH5 has higher fidelity audio on Xbox Series X|S, which applies to all audio, including music, environmental noises, and car sounds.
  • All cars benefit . Finally, it should be noted that all cars in FH5 benefit from these audio improvements. This means whether you're exploring the world by yourself, playing online with others, or racing through Mexico, all the cars around you will reflect all of these audio improvements.
  • Bass Arena, helmed by Scott Tyler, returns in Forza Horizon 5 with a new lineup of tracks
  • We also get the next evolution of Hospital Records, Pulse, Block Party, Eterna (which replaces Timeless FM for classical music plenty of classical music), and XS
  • There's also a new and improved streamer mode, which should protect creators making content out of Forza Horizon 5, with a healthy mix of original compositions and specially licensed music

What are the accessibility features in Forza Horizon 5?

Official screenshot of Forza Horizon 5.

Accessibility is always vital in gaming, and investments in the space continue to grow as time goes on. Microsoft, especially, places a lot of importance on accessibility, a trend that continues with Forza Horizon 5. Playground Games has baked a ton of accessibility options and improvements in FH5, some of which include:

  • Control over game speed . Forza Horizon 5 includes a setting that allows players to slow down the overall speed of the game when playing offline
  • Visual modes . Forza Horizon 5 includes a variety of accessible visual modes, including high contrast options and several colorblind modes that can be customized separately for the UI and game visuals, the ability to disable all moving backgrounds, and customization options for notification durations
  • Text options . Forza Horizon 5 includes many options for customizing text and subtitles, including all font size in gameplay and menus, background opacity for subtitles, and the ability to highlight especially important words in subtitles
  • Live sign language translation . Forza Horizon 5 will sign language support for ASL and BSL languages in cinematics with the Series 5 update
  • Screen narration . Forza Horizon 5 includes full-screen narration for menus, on-screen text, options, and more
  • Text-to-speech . Forza Horizon 5 includes full text-to-speech support, which lets players participate in voice chat with text translated to a synthesized voice
  • Speech-to-text . Forza Horizon 5 also includes speech-to-text support, which lets players receive transcripted text translated from voice chat
  • A more seamless and natural transition from singleplayer campaign play to the live service Festival Playlist
  • Less focus on purely winning and more of a focus on having fun and winning if you can
  • Better UI and UX for navigating online experiences, including joining and staying in Convoys
  • Spanish (Mexico)
  • Portuguese (Brazil)
  • Chinese (Simplified)
  • Spanish (Mexico and Spain)
  • Chinese (Traditional)

What platforms will get Forza Horizon 5?

Forza Horizon 5 is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. It's also available day one on Xbox Game Pass. Forza Horizon 5 is not coming to other platforms like PlayStation or Nintendo Switch. Here's everything you need to know about every platform Forza Horizon 5 is available.

Xbox Series X|S

Xbox Series X and Series S with controllers

Forza Horizon 5 has been designed from the ground up to show off what the Xbox Series X|S current-gen consoles are capable of, and it delivers. Forza Horizon 5 is a visual and technical showcase on Xbox Series X|S, with a generally excellent experience all the way around.

Here's everything you need to know about Forza Horizon 5 on Xbox Series X|S

  • 4K resolution and 30 FPS on Xbox Series X in Quality Mode
  • 1440p resolution and 30 FPS on Xbox Series S in Quality Mode
  • 4K resolution and 60 FPS on Xbox Series X in Performance Mode
  • 1080p resolution and 60 FPS on Xbox Series S in Performance Mode
  • Quality versus Performance modes . As indicated by FH5's performance targets on Xbox Series X|S, players will get to choose between Quality and Performance Modes in Forza Horizon 5 . Fortunately, both modes offer a fantastic experience with little compromises, meaning players simply have to choose if visuals or framerates are more important to them.
  • Parity between consoles . Aside from resolution, the experience between Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S is almost identical, with both consoles managing to push similar graphical and visual settings.
  • Ray tracing . Forza Horizon 5 is the first Forza Horizon game to embrace ray tracing, which enables accurate and true-to-life tracking for lights, shadows, reflections, and much more. Forza Horizon 5 supports ray tracing on Xbox Series X|S, although it's limited to the Forzavista mode, where players can admire their cars in their full ray-traced glory.
  • Smart Delivery . Like many other Xbox games that span generations, Forza Horizon 5 supports Xbox Smart Delivery . This means you have to buy Forza Horizon 5 only once for Xbox consoles, and Xbox will automatically download the best possible version of the game for the console you're playing on, at no additional cost. This also includes Xbox cloud saves, meaning there's full cross-progression between generations.
  • Cross-platform play . Forza Horizon 5 embraces every platform it's available on, which means it supports crossplay between Forza Horizon 5 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Cross-save is also supported across all of these platforms, with the exception of Forza Horizon 5 on Steam.
  • Full HDR10 support for improved contrast and colors
  • Improved draw distances, so players can see farther and with more detail
  • Improved load speeds, so players can start racing faster
  • Improved details and textures for both cars and the world
  • Improved audio fidelity
  • Massively increased resolution for car paints and decals

Xbox One consoles may be "last-gen," but they still have a lot of life left in them. Forza Horizon 5 is available on Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X, and it offers a solid experience. Of course, players won't enjoy nearly the same visual quality and sheer performance of the more powerful Xbox Series X|S consoles or PC, but FH5 is still great on older consoles.

Here's everything you need to know about Forza Horizon 5 on Xbox One:

  • 4K resolution at 30 FPS, with reduced visual fidelity, on Xbox One X
  • 1080p resolution at 30 FPS, with reduced visual fidelity, on Xbox One and Xbox One S (the regular One does not support HDR)
  • Smart Delivery . If you buy Forza Horizon 5 while on Xbox One, know that you'll always have the best experience possible wherever you play. Forza Horizon 5 scales across all Xbox consoles using Smart Delivery, meaning you can buy and fall in love with the game while on Xbox One, and then immediately experience an upgraded version of Forza Horizon 5 when you move to an Xbox Series X or S.
  • A bigger and more diverse world than ever before
  • Brand-new ways to play with new races, events, challenges, and more
  • Improved online multiplayer with in-world public events, more ways to find new friends and more
  • EventLab event editor, which allows full creative freedom to build new events, maps, and more
  • Tons of other improvements to customization, accessibility, cars, the world, and more

All the Festival Playlist challenges in Forza Horizon 5 Series 1

There's plenty to do in Mexico after you've reached the fabled Hall of Fame.

car in Forza Horizon 5 driving under a bridge

Winter - Dry Season (November 25 - December 2)

Spring - hot season (december 2 - 9).

Forza Horizon 5's seasonal challenges are just some of the activities that can keep you occupied in Mexico after you've finished everything there is to do in the base game. Forza Horizon 5 didn't really need to do much to reassert the series as the best arcade racing fun you can have on PC, but that didn't stop Playground Games from going just as hard on its post-launch activities as it did in 4.

That comes in the form of Forza Horizon 5's Festival Playlist, which returns from the previous game. It's a series of missions and challenges such as races, events, and PR stunts that can reward you things like Wheelspins, cosmetics, and even new Forza Horizon 5 cars . Vehicles like the Mercedes-AMG One, which you can unlock by getting 120 points across the first series.

The playlist is structured into Series—we're currently in the first, introductory one, 'Welcome to Mexico'. New activities refresh each Thursday at 10am ET (7am PT / 3pm GMT), and we know them all, and the rewards attached, up to the end of the first Series on December 9—after which a festive 'Holiday Special' Series will kick off in seasonal style. But back to Series 1: here are the challenges and rewards you can expect, as of November 25.

Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges Guide Series 32 – Spring

horizon 5 tour

The final week of the Horizon Race Off dawns in Forza Horizon 5 , yet as we prepare to bid farewell, there is a last hoorah in the shape of the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 32 Spring. That means there are a host of events to see us out.

The good news is that the two cars promised as rewards and part of the Race Off series are now available for doing the races, so check your messages to receive them. After that, let’s see what is in store for Spring, shall we?

Forza Horizon 5 Series 32 Spring Photo

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Going Further

This week’s challenge gives us a choice of two cars – and an odd pairing at that. We need either a 2013 Dodge Viper or a 2017 Ford M-Sport Fiesta RS. Apart from the fact they have wheels, not a massive amount in common.

Pick your poison and we can then crack on.

Should you not have one in your garage, then they are available in the Autoshow, at 95,000 and 500,000 credits respectively.

Chapter 1 – Snake in the Dirt

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete.

Chapter 2 – Aiming for 1st

Win any sprint, trail, cross country or street race in your chosen car. I went off road with the Fiesta, in case you are wondering!

Chapter 3 – Practical Comfort

Paint the car. You pick the colour. Tough step, this one.

Chapter 4 – No Time to Wait

Earn 5 Awesome Speed Skills in your chosen car. Basically, drive as fast as you can without crashing!

Hit the highway would be my advice.

Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 32.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

So, with the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.

The Trial, the Eventlab making a triumphant comeback, PR Stunts and no less than four Seasonal Championships this week!

The Trial – Perfect Fit

This week we need an A Class 800 Land Rover, which as it is off road is indeed a perfect fit!

I went for a Range Rover from 1973, the same age as me. The share code you need is 820731923.

The prize for managing to find people who actually want to race The Trial like it should be done is an Ariel Atom. We failed miserably last week, can this week be better?

Eventlab – THEFILTHYHONEY Presents Figure 8 Tunnel

For this event, we need a Track Toy tuned to S1 class 900, and it should be interesting! I chose a Ford Supervan 3 and the share code is : 142867545.

An okay track that does what it says on the tin. Don’t touch the walls and try not to be too distracted by the way the cars are floating…

For winning out, we can take away a Cadillac CTS-V.

PR Stunt 1 –  Speed Trap – Mountainside

We need an S2 Class car for this, and what better than a BMW X5M FE? Share code for mine is: 519084427.

We need to clear the trap at over 170, and this car should do it easily.

Do so and you’ll find a Super Wheelspin heading your way in return.

Seasonal Championship 1 – City Break

We need to use a Modern Supercar, tuned to S1 Class 900. I chose an Audi R8 V10 5.2 from 2013 and the share code for mine is : 646685057.

For winning out, we can take home a Jaguar i-Pace.

Seasonal Championship 2 – Mini Machines

We need a B Class 700 Mini here, as shocking as that may be!

I chose a X-Raid All4 Racing Countryman and the share code for mine is : 183453347.

The prize for winning is a Chevy Impala, not noticeably Mini!

Seasonal Championship 3 – Out of the Barn

We need a Barn Find tuned to B Class 700 for this event, and so the choice isn’t massive. I went with a stock #1 T100 Baja Truck from Toyota.

A Nissan Titan is the reward.

Seasonal Championship 4 – Bugging Out

We need an Unlimited Buggy tuned to B Class 700 for this event. I went with an Alumicraft Class 10 race car and the share code for mine is : 401432454.

For winning out, we can get a Ford Ute from 2014.

Part 3: Other Challenges

There’s always more to get involved in than just the racing, and that is the case again this week with Series 32 Winter. A Photo Challenge and Horizon Tour this week – Slim pickings!

Photo Challenge – #BURIEDCITY

We have to photograph a Rods and Customs style car in the vicinity of San Juan. Should be pretty straightforward, no?

Enjoy my artistic effort up at the top of this piece. The location you need to be in is below.

The reward? A new top, a Horizon Raptors Tee. Woo.

orza Horizon 5 Series 32 Spring Photo Location

Horizon Tour – Co-Op championships.

This week it is time to do a bit of the Tour – three races against driverbots, and two point to point races against the rest of the actual people. I can’t suggest a tune as it could be any class, but join and have fun!

The reward? A massive 3 points towards the weekly totals. Well worth the investment of time.

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Danger Sign – Canyon Jump

Get in an S2 998 car and get jumping about!

I used the Koenigsegg Agera RS, as usual, with share code : 109282883. We need to jump more than 400m. Hit the ramp at over 200 mph to clear it easily.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Seasonal Championship – On Brand

We need to use a Hot Wheels car this week, and the tuning limit is A Class 800. I chose a stock Twin Mill, as it is practically at the tuning limit.

Completing the championship will get us an AMC Gremlin.

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – La Cantera

Get ready to go in an S2 Class car, any in fact, as you look to blaze the zone at over 95 mph average to win.

I used the old faithful Koenigsegg Agera RS for this, share code : 109282883. This one is tough, not gonna lie. Cut as much as you dare on the corners.

The prize is another Super Wheelspin. You know, those things we really don’t need…

Seasonal Championship – Hoon-ing Around

An offroad event in a Hoonigan S1 900 Class car means only one thing – time to unleash the Escort RS1800 again! The share code for mine is : 264985022. I love this thing!

For winning either solo or in a convoy, it is a Mazda MX-5 that we can win. I think I prefer the Escort…

The rewards for Series 32 and Spring in Forza Horizon 5

With Series 32 now complete, those new season reward cars are up for grabs. And they are the #2 Audi S1 for 80 points and a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder for 160. This is the last week to accumulate enough points to get your sticky mitts on these cars!

Even more Rivals circuits have now been added with Series 32 as well. There is River Scramble and Vista Del Mar Sprint, which does mean that there are only two to go at this month. Put in a clean lap in each to score 4 whole points towards the prize cars.

Grab enough points and Series 32 Spring also sees you given access to the exclusive Jaguar F-Type SVr for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a #42 Extreme E, a hard to find car apparently.

Next up. Series 33!?

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.

Forza Horizon 5: How To Complete The Hot Wheels Park Tour Mission

This one is much easier than it seems at first glance.

By Billy Givens on July 20, 2022 at 12:21PM PDT

As you work your way through Forza Horizon 5 's Hot Wheels DLC, you'll need to complete a series of missions to increase your Academy Rank. And once you're Pro Rank, you'll come across a mission called Hot Wheels Park Tour, which asks you to drive from Forest Falls to Giant's Canyon and then cross over into The Ice Cauldron in less than four minutes. It may sound like a heck of a drive, but you can actually shave a significant amount of time with a specific route. We'll tell you how to make that happen so that you can unlock those sweet 50 medals.

How to complete the Hot Wheels Park Tour mission

For starters, the Hot Wheels Park Tour mission requires that you drive an A-class car , so make sure you switch vehicles if you've been driving about using a different class.

Now, at first glance, you'd be forgiven for thinking that you need to begin your drive at the peak of Forest Falls, but the mission's text can actually be a little bit misleading. As a matter of fact, you can begin the mission at the very southern section of the forest biome, making for a much, much quicker drive. See below for exactly where to fast travel to begin the drive.

Start here.

While staying in this location in the forest biome, set a route all the way to the other side of the map in the ice biome. See below for the exact location.

End here.

With your route set, you can set off to complete the Hot Wheels Park Tour mission, which you'll likely find that you finish in only a few short minutes. With those 50 medals in your possession, you'll be one step closer to becoming the Hot Wheels Legend.

While you're at it, check out where to find the Hot Wheels DLC bonus boards .

Game Discussion: Forza Horizon 5

Horizon tour event list.

DefEdge

Posted on 28 December 21 at 03:59, Edited on 07 May 22 at 02:20 by DefEdge So I got this mostly from the Forza forums but I added a little bit more information for those who might find knowing what event happens at what minute in the hour rotation. He collected the data of what was there, I added the racing surface. 00: B-Reasonably Priced - Road 02: S1-Any - Dirt 04: B- Any - Cross Country - !Mislabeled! - MINIS ONLY 06: A-LandRover - Dirt 08: A-Unlimited Offroad - Cross Country 10: A-Any - Road 12: B-ClassicRally - Dirt 14: C-Pickups&4x4 - Cross Country - 1970s ONLY 16: S1-ClassicRacers - Road 18: S1-Hoonigan - Dirt 20: A-HeavyHitters - Cross Country 22: S1-ModernMuscle - Road 24: A-RuleBritannia - Dirt 26: S1-Any - Cross Country 28: S1-UpgradeHeroes - Road 30: S1-Any - Dirt 32: C-Pickups&4x4 - Cross Country - FORD ONLY 34: A-SuperSaloons - Road 36: B-EVO vs Impreza - Dirt 38: A-SportsUtilityHeroes - Cross Country 40: S1-ClassicRacers - Road 42: A-Unlimited Offroad - Dirt 44: S1-Any - Cross Country 46: A-BMW - Road 48: C-Retro Rally - Dirt 50: C-Pickups&4x4 - Cross Country - 1970s ONLY 52: S1-Any - Road 54: S1-Chevrolet vs Dodge - Dirt 56: D-Buggies - Cross Country 58: A-Any - Road Notice at minute 04 it is mislabeled. If you went to the tour location and looked at it, it will say B700 Anything Goes. This is wrong. If you enter it, you will only be allowed to select your B class Minis and rent the JCW Mini stock. For those who are wondering about certain accolades, you will also notice a lack of an S2 event. So that Complete a Horizon Tour in a S2 vehicle accolade is currently unobtainable. I figured this might be useful for those who are looking for a time to sign up for the Volkswagen De Lux tomorrow and next week the GT cars without sitting there waiting for it to cycle. Each entry is good for 2 minutes, the entry on the list is the first minute and ends right at the next entry. This is how it's been since the game launched AFAIK. It is subject to change, but I'm not going to sit there and monitor it. It is also not random. Edit: Giving credit, a player on the Forums with the gamertag QQstarSS. May or may not be on TA, but figured I'd give credit. Also a huge bit of work from LSD51ZEN on there, page 2, for taking screenshots of each event with tracks, AND for correcting the 'posters' for the events as needed for the 4 that had to be corrected. We will have to see if anymore need correcting... Edit 2: So it seems we have had wrong info because we didn't test everything out. The 3 events that are supposedly Pick ups and 4x4s are ALSO mislabeled. They have been struck out and corrected above Not actually mislabeled, just missing information... (as have the mislabeled B Any to Minis). This new info is from the Horizon Tour thread on the official Forza forums, just passing it onto everyone here. I didn't test it myself because I didn't need the accolade for it. This list is now completely obsolete and I pulled a link from the forums with a new long long list. This link is a shortened link to the google spreadsheet. https://t.co/rYpEhjnEBB Phear my Uber Gimpyness!

Posted on 27 April 22 at 23:16, Edited on 29 April 22 at 14:04 by MathGuy42 This rotation list is no longer valid as of the latest update. It's unclear to me if there's a regular rotation now or it's randomized. I've been watching for about 30 minutes, waiting for an S2 race with no luck. This person waited over an hour and didn't detect a regular rotation, though I suppose it could just be a very long rotation now. If anyone finds a new rotation list and especially when S2 happens, that would be great. It might be hard to find D and C also. I think I've only seen B, A, and S1 come up. Edit: FYI, S2 came up yesterday at 2:40pm EDT. I don't know if it will come up at that time again. As I waited, I also saw a D and a few C's, so those still come up too.

Posted on 07 May 22 at 02:18 Yeah, I was just noticing that. I did find a list where someone has compiled all the data, and it's crazy! Here's a shortened link that takes you to a spreadsheet. We do actually have S2 events now! https://t.co/rYpEhjnEBB I haven't completely looked it over, but it's a BIG list. According to someone counting it has: D - 10 C - 34 B - 120 A - 308 S1 - 234 S2 - 14 X - 0 I have no idea if that list is repeated or not, but... yeah... Phear my Uber Gimpyness!

Sorry about that then. I don't know what to do then. I was going by the official forums where someone spent all day compiling the list. Did you adjust for the time zone? The top left of the chart says to start in UTC. Granted, I have not referred to this list myself yet, I still need to do an S2 and last night xbox was having issues, saying I had to be online to play any of my games so I gave up on it. Edit: Here is a link to where I got that list from: https://forums.forzamotorsport.net/t/horizon-tour-event-list... Phear my Uber Gimpyness!

BAE 10

Posted on 08 May 22 at 15:18, Edited on 08 May 22 at 15:37 by BAE 10 There was an S2 tour at 8:16 AM PST instead of 8:18 AM like the list says. Either its random or the list is slightly off by few minutes.

Posted on 08 May 22 at 18:35 Hrm... I wonder if the events shift or if it totally is random. I feel bad for the guy who spent a day compiling it then, meaning all of his work was for naught if it was random. Then again, such a massive list needing to be collected in a rapid fashion, he's had to worry about the type of race, type of vehicle, and the 3 tracks the tour takes place on. I certainly couldn't have done that, I have to work 5 days a week and also take care of family one the weekends, so I'm usually pretty busy. Phear my Uber Gimpyness!

Was 8:16am PST the time the race showed up in the menu for signup or when it started? It looks like the times are for when the race actually starts, since the header says, "Signup begins 120 seconds before Start!" His list matches my experience that I posted above. The S2 race appeared for signup at 2:40pm EDT and started 2:42pm EDT. That's the 18:42 UTC race.

This was the only one I tested though since it was the only tour I needed.

Posted on 09 May 22 at 02:37 Hrm... looking over the list right now and comparing to what's in the game I am finding problems with some things not matching what's on the chart. Like at 2:20 it says S1 900 anything goes but it was A 800 anything goes. The tracks were correct though. Also yeah, I can see where you guys are saying that the times are not correct, like I have the UTC timer up on timeanddate.com and either I am 2 minutes back from that (my clock is set by internet) or these times are 2 minutes off. I would be putting the times in as "This is when this event begins collecting players" not the start time of the event itself. I guess if you are referring to the spreadsheet you would be looking ahead and not at the exact time, since you would already be looking at the screen and being ready. Phear my Uber Gimpyness!

The times shown are, also, the time the event appears enabling you to join more easily. Users can also filter the listing for event type, class, etc. Hope folks find it useful... tinyurl.com/35hadbp9

Playground Games revealed Forza Horizon 5 ’s opening sequence of cinematics and gameplay Tuesday afternoon at Xbox’s Gamescom 2021 showcase, highlighting the varied terrain, weather, and biomes players will encounter on the racing game’s wide-open map of Mexico when it launches in November.

“I think our campaign learns a lot from Horizon 4 ’s campaign,” Mike Brown, Forza Horizon 5 ’s creative director, told media in a briefing event last week. The sequence shown at Gamescom bridges the ending of Forza Horizon 4 with the beginning of the latest racing festival. “There are all of these things that you can work towards, but in a way that feels more structured and more directed than it did in Horizon 4 , but while maintaining freedom to progress through the game in a ton of different ways.”

In the presentation, the customary drive-in to the Horizon Festival that has begun each game in the series, a cargo jet drops four cars into a sampling of Forza Horizon 5 ’s 11 different biomes . The sequence starts with a 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands ascending a stratovolcano — Brown said it’s “just about the highest point we’ve ever had in a Horizon game” — and culminates in the $2.7 million Mercedes-AMG One hypercar racing the plane to the festival finish line.

In between, Chevrolet’s 490-horsepower 2020 Corvette Stingray takes the baton from the Bronco at the bottom of the volcano and proceeds to plow some Mexican farmland. That’s followed by Porsche’s rallying show pony, the 911 Desert Flyer, plunging into the dense Yucatan jungle and giving the Mayan ruins of Ek’ Balam a drive-by. It’s one of several indigenous temple sites that Playground Games have recreated for players to explore, Brown said.

a sports utility vehicle and a pick-up truck race through a very shallow creek

“Having that many biomes creates challenges for us, for when those biomes meet each other,” Brown said. “And one biome has to blend into the environment in a way that doesn’t feel like you’ve crossed an invisible line, and suddenly you’re in a completely different place. Instead, the barriers are blurred, so that it feels natural.” Vegetation and ground covering helped Playground Games achieve this blending, Brown said, particularly in transiting from locations like Mexico’s rocky Pacific coast to a “living desert” still abundant with cacti and other adapted plant life.

Seasons, and seasonal weather, will also return to Forza Horizon 5 , following the feature’s debut in 2018’s Forza Horizon 4 . “Seasons will work a little bit differently in Mexico to how they worked in Britain,” Brown said. They will still change weekly, and players can see the effect in things like riverbeds drying out (providing new courses or shortcuts) and then filling up. Mexico will still have snow, Brown said, but it’ll be limited to the map’s highest altitudes, like the aforementioned volcano. Spontaneous weather events will include dust storms, also seen in Tuesday’s video, which left the Stingray covered by a fine layer of red grime.

There’s plenty to do, not just see, in Forza Horizon 5 , Brown promised. The Eliminator, the 72-car battle royale race from Forza Horizon 4 , will return with some adjustments. “I think the main difference is in the map,” Brown said. “We released Eliminator around about a year after Forza Horizon 4 came out. This time, Eliminator already exists as we’re putting the world together. So the world is now, I think, much better suited to Eliminator.”

There is also the Events Lab, shown during E3 2021 , which allows players to create their own courses and races. While the stadium location seen during the E3 demo is “a great place to build, because it gives you something of a blank canvas,” Brown said, players will be able to use Event Labs’ building tools wherever they want, for the most part. Some areas of the world will be inaccessible to keep player-created events from running over pedestrians, for example.

The building will be supported by “a really in-depth rule editor,” Brown said. “I would stop short of calling it a scripting language, but it’s based on some of the design tools that we use to make the different features of the game.” The if/then nature of the rule editor allows, for example, things as granular as playing certain sound effects or adding score multipliers to overtakes or jumps within a race.

Brown said that the fact Horizon 5 got a three-year development cycle, instead of two, meant Playground Games could make a bigger investment in the game’s physics and handling models. “We’ve completely rebuilt the way the suspension works,” he said. “You might think, as I say this, an improved simulation would make it more challenging, but it’s actually the opposite. The springs of the car now behave much more like they would on a real car, and react to the terrain in a much more authentic way. Improving the simulation also improves the accessibility, which is a great result for us.”

Beyond the cars shown in the Gamescom presentation, Playground Games isn’t yet talking about the size of Forza Horizon 5 ’s fleet or what, specifically, it will comprise. But, “There is literally nothing to stop you from driving a hypercar around the jungle,” Brown said. They’ll just handle a lot more poorly than, say, the Bronco. Brown said Forza Horizon 5 has multiple types of mud for players to sling around — like thick, gloppy chocolate cake frosting that leaves deep tread marks, and sloppy slurry that splatters the windshield and hood.

Forza Horizon 5 launches Nov. 9 for Windows PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The game also launches the same day on Xbox Game Pass for both consoles and PC.

Festival Playlist

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with new clothing items for your Forza Horizon 5 character, including many inspired by the murals found throughout Mexico. Available throughout Series 7 and accessible via the Customize Character menu, here’s a rundown of the newest wardrobe additions:

You can also spruce up your driving adventures with a selection of three new car horns. Don’t miss out on collecting them:

Of course, it wouldn’t be a new Festival Playlist without new cars, and Ferrari are here to mark the occasion with some of their most iconic supercars. From returning classics to some of their latest, most innovative and #NewToForza cars, you don’t want to miss out. Here’s a look at the incredible Ferrari cars available to unlock during Series 7:

2020 Ferrari SF90 Stradale

Ferrari SF90 Stradale speeding down a rural road.

Celebrating the 90th anniversary of the foundation of Scuderia Ferrari, the SF90 Stradale underscores the strong link between the Prancing Horse’s track and road cars while encapsulating the most advanced technologies developed in Maranello. It’s also the first Ferrari to feature PHEV architecture, which, for the record, stands for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle. This allows the internal four-liter combustion engine, an evolution of the V8 found in the 488 Pista and F8 Tributo, to be integrated with three electric motors. The combined output is a sheer 986 horsepower at 8000 rpm with a maximum torque of 590 lb-ft at 6000 rpm. Those are extraordinary numbers, allowing the car to reach 62mph from standstill in 2.5 seconds, 124mph in 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph. It’s also the fastest Ferrari road car on the Italian manufacturer's own Fiorano Circuit, beating the LaFerrari by seven tenths of a second. With all of that considered, the SF90 Stradale perfectly demonstrates how Ferrari can so seamlessly transition the knowledge and skills it acquires from competing in global motorsports to its roadworthy production cars – and it does so with a future-forward design and truly innovative engineering.

1962 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso

Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso

The 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso is the type of car that cameras dream of. With unmistakable Pininfarina body styling that Scaglietti fashioned from steel and aluminum, every single segment of the Lusso is full of sumptuous detail. There’s that three-piece bumper that frames the egg-crate grill and cradles the turn signals; the profile that seamlessly integrates the front fenders through the doors before falling into a gracious curve into the Kamm tail panel. The Lusso was quick and nimble for its time yet built with enough refinement to please the most upscale of customers. Finally, let’s not forget its auditory delights. One listen of the symphony from the triple-Weber carbureted V12 cements the Lusso as one of Ferrari’s proudest achievements. A wonderful machine capable of 150 mph. The perfect balance of luxury and speed.

2014 Ferrari California T

Ferrari California T driving down the highway.

The Ferrari California was the Prancing Horse’s first V8-powered front-engine car. Replaced years later by the California T, the naturally aspirated V8 was swapped out in favor of a 3.9-liter turbocharged V8 engine capable of outputting 552 horsepower at 7500 rpm! It retains the front-engine design, as well as the 7-speed transmission and RWD drivetrain, and can reach 0-60mph in just 3.5 seconds. With updated styling found across both the exterior and interior of the car, grand touring is engraved throughout every facet of the California T – a convertible that ensures you have both the looks and performance to cruise anywhere, anytime. A distinguished Grand Tourer.

1992 Ferrari 512 TR

White Ferrari 512 TR driving down a coastal road.

The 512 TR is an evolution of the Testarossa that graced thousands of car enthusiasts’ walls in poster form in the 1980s. The iconic shape, slightly refined during the transition to 512 TR form to achieve more comfort and better aerodynamics, maintaining the famous side strakes and wide stance that made the original a universal icon of Italian power—a true Testarossa. As an update to the pioneering Berlinetta Boxers of the 1970s, it is powered by a modified version of the BB’s mid-mounted flat-12 engine, displacing 5 liters and pumped up to 421 horsepower. Interestingly, the engine is closely related to Ferrari’s Colombo-designed V12s, flattened for use in the mid-engine cars. Cooling for the big, high-strung engine necessitated large radiators flanking the engine in the rear, fed cool air by the huge side scoops. It seems strange, but the Testarossa and its related successors are some of the most-produced Ferraris ever, considering that the chassis served the company over the span of three decades. While the 512 TR has staggering street performance, it is one of few Ferraris for which the track is not the best place to enjoy its charms—the TR instead loves a windy stretch of road from which to explore the wide torque band and sonorous tones of its substantial engine.

2020 Ferrari F8 Tributo

Yellow Ferrari F8 Tributo on a snowy road.

Step inside and get behind the wheel of a celebration of excellence. The Ferrari F8 Tributo elevates the Prancing Horse’s classic two-seater Berlinetta design to new highlights, paying homage to the most powerful V8 in Ferrari history, a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged engine as seen in the 488 Pista, outputting 710 horses at 7000 rpm and 568 lb-ft of torque at 3250 rpm. With roots and heritage in the motorsport world, the renowned Italian manufacturer has infused advanced aerodynamics into the F8 to create a mid-rear-engined Berlinetta with best-in-class performance. It utilizes the 488 Challenge’s turbo rev sensors to maximize turbocharger efficiency while new software features, such as evolved iterations of Ferrari’s own traction-and-stability control programs, pave way for the most engaging and approachable supercar driving experience. With clean and decisive styling, the F8 Tributo celebrates Berlinetta heritage and accelerates it to powerful new heights.

Car Pass Calendar

Four new cars are ready to enter the garages of Forza Horizon 5 Car Pass holders in Series 7. With a little something for everyone, here are the rides you can look forward to driving over the next four weeks – and best of all, they’re all #NewToForza:

2003 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning

Ford F150 SVT Lightning parked outside a car maintenance shop.

The SVT Lightning is an iconic variant of the Ford F-150 that inaugurated the high-performance segment of pick-ups. It was produced as a rear-wheel-drive regular cab with a payload of 1350 pounds. Impressively, the pickup truck is capable of 380 horsepower at 450 lb-ft of torque thanks to its 5.4-liter 2V Triton Supercharged Intercooled V8 engine. It’s also fitted with a four-speed Ford 4R100 overdrive automatic transmission and features heavy duty front and rear shocks. Furthermore, it’s considerably quieter than its competing counterparts of the time. These improvements all combine to deliver a pickup truck that’s more like a car in function, with all the benefits of the former. Back in the early 2000s, this truly was the best of both worlds. Perhaps you’d even call it a luxury.

2014 Forsberg Racing Nissan 'SafariZ' 370Z Safari Rally Tribute

Forsberg Racing Nissan 370z rally car on a dirt road.

When Chris Forsberg, a self-taught three-time Formula Drift World Champion, teamed up with Broken Motorsports to create a modern-day tribute to the 1971 East African Safari Rally overall winning Datsun 240Z, the result was something truly special. Forsberg Racing’s Nissan 'SafariZ' 370Z features aesthetics that pay homage to the original rally car – it even includes some of the original sponsor decals. While this project car is rally ready and could compete at any time, it was purposefully built to output 215 horsepower because the excess horsepower would leave it just fighting for traction in the dirt. What it might lack in raw horsepower, however, it more than makes up for in functionality and aesthetics with styling cues that harken back to that 1970s rally monster for the ultimate dose of nostalgia.

2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro

A blue Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro drives through a sand desert.

Toyota has built some of the greatest off-roaders fully conceived, with the world’s most dangerous and unforgiving terrain in mind – and its 2019 refresh of the Tacoma TRD Pro is no exception. It’s got everything you need to bring confidence to every adventure you undertake. Powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine capable of 278 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 265 lb-ft of torque, with a six-speed manual transmission, you have all the power needed to get over obstacles. The Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro can tow up to 6800 lbs. or carry a payload of up to 1440 lbs, so trust us when we say it’s as tough and rugged as it looks! Oh, and about that snorkel – it's officially named a TRD Desert Air Intake. It pulls in clean air from far above the fender line to protect the engine internals from dirt and contaminants – ensuring the engine can breathe nicely and continue to run strong for years and years – the durability that Toyota engines are known for.

2008 Dodge Magnum SRT8

Dodge magnum driving alongside other cars.

In 2008, the Dodge Magnum received a facelift – donning a new bright red paint scheme and a refreshed interior. With a new front fascia sporting aggressively squared headlights and an updated hood scoop to match, this version would be the last of the high-performance SRT8 series cars. In fact, it would be the final Dodge Magnum manufactured and released ahead of Chrysler’s decision to discontinue the line due to lower sales. Production ended on March 28, 2008. Despite this, the SRT8 is a car capable of a very impressive 425 horsepower thanks to its 6.1-liter Hemi engine and reaches 0-60mph in 5.1 seconds and 0-100mph in 11.7 seconds, a few tenths quicker than the Cayman S from the same year. Now it’s your turn to relive the Magnum’s glory days and give this iconic car the send-off it always deserved.

The Forza Horizon 5 Car Pass can be purchased separately, and is included in the Deluxe Edition, Premium Edition and Premium Add-ons Bundle. With 34 cars delivered to your game weekly, one per week with an additional eight Formula Drift cars to get you started, there’s no better way to kickstart your Horizon adventure today.

The Best Possible Settings for Forza Horizon 6

T he Forza Horizon games are iconic for their gorgeous environments almost as much as their cars, and there are some prime locations where the next game could be set. The series has already set its previous titles in various places around the world. However, a lot of the best possible locations have yet to be the home of a Forza Horizon game. Since the game could take place almost anywhere in the world, there is no shortage of options. When it comes to Forza Horizon 6 , there are a lot of perfect locations to choose from.

When it comes to an open-world game like Forza Horizon , the game world is one of the most vital aspects of the experience as a whole. This has been especially important when it comes to the Forza Horizon series , as the high speeds at which players will be driving across the world require a world that is both interesting and beautiful to explore. Horizon 4 's England and Scotland and especially Horizon 5 's Mexico immediately come to mind in this regard, with both providing vast, memorable backdrops for the game's racing action. For that reason, discussions regarding Forza Horizon 6 should cover where it will take place.

Forza Horizon's World Tour Still Has Many Potential Destinations

One possible location that has already been the subject of some Forza Horizon 6 rumors is Japan. It's a bit surprising that Japan hasn't appeared before in the series, considering what sorts of tracks it could bring to the table. Among the memorable designs could be mountain tracks inspired by Mt. Fuji, or brightly-lit, bustling city tracks designed to remind players of downtown Tokyo. Another sight worth recreating would be the scene of cherry blossom trees in full bloom as the player drives through a forest. For how many iconic sights it could create, Japan could be perfect for Forza Horizon 6 .

New Zealand is another valid option, as although Australia was already explored in the unfortunately delisted Forza Horizon 3 , the unique charm of its island neighbor would be a perfect next stop. Thanks to its remarkable environmental diversity, New Zealand in Forza Horizon could let players take a drive from snowy mountain peaks to the sunny beaches on the coast. New Zealand's unique culture and art scene can also provide a memorable theme for the Horizon Festival, especially if some unique event types could come out of the deal. Even though New Zealand wouldn't be the biggest country Forza Horizon has been to, it would be memorable all the same.

Another area that should be in contention is Canada. After all, after Forza Horizon 5 went to Mexico , it would be somewhat amusing for the next game to hop straight over the United States to enter Canada. Aside from the novelty, Canada would have a lot to offer for the next Horizon Festival. Its pristine lakes and forests would be a sight to see, and come the winter season, it could create some of the best snow and ice courses in the series. With a rich sports culture and lots of character, Canada deserves to be on the shortlist for Forza Horizon 6 's potential destinations.

Forza Horizon 6 is probably far in the distance, but the series has a lot to live up to. Regarding the massive success of Forza Horizon 's driving experience , few other games have been able to measure up. The rolling open world is one of Forza Horizon 's calling cards, and one of the most important pieces of the puzzle when it comes to planning out Forza Horizon 6 . After Great Britain and Mexico, expectations are high for what will come next. Hopefully Forza Horizon 6 's next country will deliver on the series' promise.

Forza Horizon 5 is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Coffee Ring

The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.

Zodiac Metro

According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.

Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.

Paleontological finds

Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!

  • Every day each car in  Moscow metro passes  more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
  • Moscow subway system is the  5th in the intensity  of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).

Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.

What is the kremlin in russia?

The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.

And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.

During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.

There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.

Komsomolskaya metro station

Komsomolskaya metro station looks like a museum. It has vaulted ceilings and baroque decor.

Hidden underground, in the heart of Moscow, are historical and architectural treasures of Russia. These are Soviet-era creations – the metro stations of Moscow.

Our guide Maria introduced these elaborate metro stations as “the palaces for the people.” Built between 1937 and 1955, each station holds its own history and stories. Stalin had the idea of building beautiful underground spaces that the masses could enjoy. They would look like museums, art centers, concert halls, palaces and churches. Each would have a different theme. None would be alike.

The two-hour private tour was with a former Intourist tour guide named Maria. Maria lived in Moscow all her life and through the communist era of 60s to 90s. She has been a tour guide for more than 30 years. Being in her 60s, she moved rather quickly for her age. We traveled and crammed with Maria and other Muscovites on the metro to visit 10 different metro stations.

To Maria, every street, metro and building told a story. I couldn’t keep up with her stories. I don’t remember most of what she said because I was just thrilled being in Moscow.   Added to that, she spilled out so many Russian words and names, which to one who can’t read Cyrillic, sounded so foreign and could be easily forgotten.

The metro tour was the first part of our all day tour of Moscow with Maria. Here are the stations we visited:

1. Komsomolskaya Metro Station  is the most beautiful of them all. Painted yellow and decorated with chandeliers, gold leaves and semi precious stones, the station looks like a stately museum. And possibly decorated like a palace. I saw Komsomolskaya first, before the rest of the stations upon arrival in Moscow by train from St. Petersburg.

2. Revolution Square Metro Station (Ploshchad Revolyutsii) has marble arches and 72 bronze sculptures designed by Alexey Dushkin. The marble arches are flanked by the bronze sculptures. If you look closely you will see passersby touching the bronze dog's nose. Legend has it that good luck comes to those who touch the dog's nose.

3. Arbatskaya Metro Station served as a shelter during the Soviet-era. It is one of the largest and the deepest metro stations in Moscow.

4. Biblioteka Imeni Lenina Metro Station was built in 1935 and named after the Russian State Library. It is located near the library and has a big mosaic portrait of Lenin and yellow ceramic tiles on the track walls.

5. Kievskaya Metro Station was one of the first to be completed in Moscow. Named after the capital city of Ukraine by Kiev-born, Nikita Khruschev, Stalin's successor.

7. Kurskaya Metro Station was one of the first few to be built in Moscow in 1938. It has ceiling panels and artwork showing Soviet leadership, Soviet lifestyle and political power. It has a dome with patriotic slogans decorated with red stars representing the Soviet's World War II Hall of Fame. Kurskaya Metro Station is a must-visit station in Moscow.

9. Belorusskaya Metro Station is named after the people of Belarus. In the picture below, there are statues of 3 members of the Partisan Resistance in Belarus during World War II. The statues were sculpted by Sergei Orlov, S. Rabinovich and I. Slonim.
