Four hours from the hot beaches of Goa , the cool forests of the Kali Wilderness and Adventure Camp await you. Tucked deep in the forest, the camp is a mere stone’s throw from the roaring banks of the Kali River. Here you can great escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. You’ll feel like you stepped into another world.
Relaxation Or Endless Adventures? The Choice Is Yours
If you enjoy the beauty and tranquility of nature, you’ll be content to breathe in the rich fresh air and the soothing, natural fragrance of thyme and basil. The service at the Kali Wilderness and Adventure Camp is sure to please. There are wonderful buffet meals being served at the round gazebo enclosure called the Gol Ghar. Continental, Chinese and Indian cuisines are served at the Gol Ghar and complete vegetarian meals are arranged, easily, by request.
After watching a Weaverbird busily working at its nest, what could be more relaxing than curling up in a comfortable hammock and letting the river’s bubbling flow lull you into a peaceful sleep?
That night, around the campfire you can listen to the animated stories of other camp visitors describing how it didn’t matter if you had your eyes open or shut- the darkness of the Kavala Caves was like nothing they had ever experienced.
Another sings his own praises; he caught a huge Mahseer (a fish in the Carp family) in one of the river’s deeper pools, just that morning. Someone suddenly squeals with delight as they remember another detail of their group’s two-hour white water rafting adventure. There are many stories to be told and experiences to share. You can play a part in the adventure story or just relax and enjoy hearing all about. The choice is yours!
The Call Of The Wild
Along with leisure and sports activities the Kali Wilderness and Adventure Camp is an attraction for its compelling wildlife sights. The camp and surrounding area is a bird watchers paradise. Bird enthusiasts will spot Kingfishers and Egrets along the river, while Cormorants fly overhead. With almost 200 varieties of birds in this wilderness area you are sure to catch a glimpse of many interesting species.
As you trek through the surrounding jungle you may get a rare sighting of one of the big cats- leopards and black panthers make their home in the surrounding forests. There are never any guarantees of spotting a wild animal.
For most, traveling through the jungle with the sun streaming through the branches is a memorable early morning experience. Ask about the guided adventure trips to uninhabited islands at a nearby reservoir.

We liked our stay in Old Magazine House. We had great experience, Bird watching, Rafting, Relaxing, Boat Ride etc. Food and service were very good. People there are kindly and helpful. We got lots of information about animals and nature.
STAY & FOOD Was really good. It was maintained really well with good service and co-operation from the staffs but the numbers of accommodations are less. Probably we would return in next few months to experience much better with long duration of stay and find more luxurious stay next time.
Fantastic experience very good hospitality.A nice get away spend time with your loved only in nature lap.
