QuikTrip Brings Back Pumpkin Snacks, Coffees

Back by popular demand, QT will return its Pumpkin Pretzel, a fan-favorite treat for pumpkin lovers. The Pumpkin Pretzel is a warm, soft pretzel topped with a sweet cinnamon and sugar blend and stuffed with a pumpkin filling. One choice of dipping sauce is included as well.

QT is also returning fall-themed creations to its soft-serve menu with its Pumpkin QuikShake and Pumpkin QT Twister. The Pumpkin QuikShake is a drinkable frozen treat featuring premium vanilla soft-serve and blended with pumpkin flavor. The Pumpkin QT Twister features premium vanilla soft-serve twisted with pumpkin syrup.

Finally, for pumpkin-flavored coffee lovers, QT is bringing back its line of seasonal coffee items — which vary by store and market:

• The Pumpkin Frappe is a creamy, frozen blend with pumpkin-flavored syrup.
• The Hot Pumpkin Latte contains a double shot of espresso with a combination of steamed and frothed milk, finished with pumpkin flavored syrup.
• The Iced Pumpkin Latte contains a double shot of espresso with a combination of steamed and frothed milk, finished with pumpkin flavored syrup and served over ice.
• The Cold Brew Coffee has been ground, steeped and held cold for 12 hours to create an extra smooth coffee served over ice, with the choice to add sweet cream and pumpkin flavor (other flavor choices include hazelnut, vanilla or sugar-free vanilla).

• Nespresso vertuo coffee machine
• Aeroccino Frother

Ingredients    1x 2x 3x

• 1 Shot Espresso Nespresso capsule Your favorite flavor
• 60 Grams Ice cubes
• 100 Milliliters Full-fat milk Cold
• 1 Teaspoon Sugar
• 1/4 Teaspoon Pumpkin pie spice I used my homemade pumpkin pie spice
• Whipped cream Optional
• 1 Pinch Chocolate shavings Optional

Instructions  

• Add the ice, sugar and pumpkin spice into a coffee mug. 60 Grams Ice cubes, 1 Teaspoon Sugar, 1/4 Teaspoon Pumpkin pie spice
• Pour one Nespresso coffee capsule over the sugar, spice and ice and mix well. 1 Shot Espresso Nespresso capsule
• Next pour 100 ml of milk into the Aeroccino milk frother and press the cold froth button. 100 Milliliters Full-fat milk
• Once the milk has finished being frothed gently pour the cold milk froth over your coffee. 100 Milliliters Full-fat milk

Get into the festive spirit with this pumpkin spice cappuccino recipe! This quick, easy and delicious recipe is the perfect drink to warm you up as temperatures begin to decline. 

This is the perfect drink for those who don’t like the bitterness of coffee and prefer a sweeter, spiced alternative. 

One way to elevate your pumpkin spice cappuccino is to make your own pumpkin spice mix. I like to add freshly grated nutmeg instead of it being powdered. This will help enhance the spices and make for a more complex taste. 

Another way to elevate this drink is to choose a quality syrup. For this recipe, I used a seasonal maple syrup which enhances the richness of the drink. 

What You Need to Make Pumpkin Spice Cappuccino

There are a couple of seasonal ingredients in this recipe, such as pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice, which you may not be able to find year-round. You can also make pumpkin puree with freshly roasted pumpkins which will absolutely elevate your drink to the next level. 

If you don’t have a milk frother, that’s alright! I used whipped cream to recreate that airy texture. It also adds to the sweetness of the drink. 

Ingredients:

• Maple syrup
• Cinnamon sticks
• Espresso shots 
• Pumpkin spice mix
• Pumpkin puree

How To Make Pumpkin Spice Cappuccino

Brew your espresso: Make your espresso or coffee and pour it into a measuring cup. If you have a milk frother, begin steaming your milk.

Mix Ingredients: Place all remaining ingredients in a sauce pot or bowl. Add hot coffee and whisk until fully combined.

Pour: Pour the pumpkin spice cappuccino into glasses.

Add toppings: Top with whipped cream (optional) or frothed milk, spices, and a cinnamon stick and serve.
