Travel + Leisure is launching its subscription travel club today

You can now join a travel subscription service that lets you book trips curated by an iconic travel magazine.

On Wednesday, Sept. 8, Travel + Leisure Group launched its long-anticipated travel subscription service. During a phone call this week with Noah Brodsky, president of the Travel + Leisure Group, he said that even though some people may not be ready to travel yet, "it's always a good time to get inspired."

Called Travel + Leisure Club, the members-only subscription service gives travelers the "curated content of T+L along with an array of travel experiences."

Right now, club membership is available for an introductory rate of $9.95 per month, which includes access to trip itineraries inspired by the pages of Travel + Leisure magazine (full disclosure: my former employer); discounts on everything from rental cars to hotels and flights; a concierge; exclusive experiences only for members; and a subscription to the magazine.

As a member, you might get a complimentary drink or extra course when you book a table through a preferred restaurant partner. Earlier examples have included VIP reservations at an editor-picked restaurant or a private tour. These benefits alone could offset the cost of membership if you take advantage often enough.

Members, Brodsky says, save an average of 25% on the hotels, itineraries and other experiences. In theory, it sounds easy enough to make use of the membership in your everyday life, too — not every dinner out has to be part of a trip of a lifetime , after all. And according to a statement, the concierge service could even help you plan a home renovation inspired by resort or hotel photos you dog-eared in the latest issue.

On Wednesday I joined the subscription club to check out the membership offerings. Of note are the itineraries (largely domestic at this time), including a five-day tour of Charleston, South Carolina — once again considered the top city in the country (and one of the best in the world) in the brand's annual World's Best Awards.

"One thing we've heard over and over," Brodsky said, is that "it's amazing no one ever put a 'book now' button on [Travel + Leisure]."

Now, that's more or less the case.

Travelers who book the Captivating Charleston itinerary will see the city the way the editors have described it, through Lowcountry culinary walking tours, a catamaran sailing around the harbor and stays at two of the best boutique hotels in town.

Brodsky said the plan is to launch new itineraries every month.

When Brodsky and I spoke last, he said the club would be both "exclusive" and "really accessible." And it does promise to deliver both serious savings as well as members-only perks for less than the cost of an ad-free Hulu plan.

"I think the pricing will certainly speak for itself," Brodsky said. "I think anyone who gives [the Club] a try for free ... they will see the value there on their very first booking and the content is going to keep [them] inspired."

"When you follow the advice of editors, you know that what you're booking is going to be of that caliber ... you know that the work has been done for you to pick amazing experiences."

Right now, you can try out the Travel + Leisure Club with a 30-day free trial. Just keep in mind that you need to email or call to cancel your trial before being charged.

And for travelers who aren't sold on the subscription service, the Travel + Leisure Group has also rebranded its online booking platform, formerly BookTandL.com. Now called Travel + Leisure GO, anyone can come to this portal to research, plan and book trips.

As we shared in January when we announced the acquisition of the iconic Travel + Leisure brand, Travel + Leisure Co. will be supported by three branded business lines. Wyndham Destinations has become the umbrella brand for our vacation ownership clubs business line.

This transition to Travel + Leisure Co. as the parent company over Wyndham Destinations will not directly affect WorldMark by Wyndham or its products or club offerings. You will continue to enjoy your beautiful timeshare properties and exceptional benefits. This news does not impact any current contracts, and we do not anticipate any changes to our services. You may continue to leverage the award-winning Wyndham Rewards program, just as you always have.

We live in a subscription-obsessed world and there’s a subscription for everything you can imagine, from razors to clothing and even hot sauces. Travel memberships are on the rise, providing new ways to ease some of the stress that comes with traveling these days and help make the journey more seamless.

Whether you’re willing to pay a premium for exclusive travel experiences that provide a little more privacy or you're more budget-conscious and want to find the best travel deals, there’s a membership for every type of traveler. Here are 10 travel memberships that are worth considering.

Wheels Up offers private jet charter memberships so travelers can access a fleet of aircrafts, including a King Air 350i, an 8-passenger Citation Excel/XLS, and one of the fastest aircrafts, the Citation X. Wheels Up uses a dynamic pricing model offering competitive rates, so members can book flights on-demand with the flexibility to pay as they go.

Additional m embership benefits include invites to signature events, President’s Circle status with Hertz, a complimentary trial of Inspirato Club subscription for 12 months (Core members only), certain perks at select Waldorf Astoria hotels across North America, a partnership with Delta SkyMiles, dedicated partnership rates with Porsche and more.

Membership cost: Three membership options are available – Connect, Core and Business. The Connect membership requires a one-time initiation fee of $2,995 and annual dues of $2,495 which begin on year two. The Core membership has an initiation fee of $17,500 and annual dues of $8,500 which begin on year two. The Business membership requires an initiation fee of $29,500 and $14,500 for subsequent years and includes up to six lead passengers.

Getting through airport security lines can be a drag, especially during holiday weekends and a pandemic that has increased the demand for more seclusion when traveling. PS (formerly known as Private Suite) is designed for first and business class travelers who are seeking privacy and convenience, allowing them to bypass LAX altogether.

Travelers check into a private terminal where they can relax in a fully-stocked luxury private suite that includes complimentary in-suite meals catered by h.wood Group , as well as additional services upon request such as in-suite massages, manicures and detailing services for personal cars. PS also provides a designated on-site TSA and Customs agent for expedited screening.

Upon boarding, travelers are transported across the tarmac directly to their aircraft in a BMW 7 Series sedan. Earlier this year, the Salon at PS launched, which features a new full-service lounge at the terminal for travelers who want the same benefits of PS but seek a more social experience.

Membership cost: Annual membership costs $4,500, which gives members access to a preferred rate of $3,250 for a one-way Suite experience for up to four travelers. The Salon is available to members and non-members for $695 per use per person.

Inspirato is a subscription-based luxury travel service that gives members exclusive access to over 150,000 luxury vacation homes and resorts around the world that are staffed by Inspirato. There are two membership types: Inspirato Club and Inspirato Pass. The former gives you access to the luxury residences and hotels around the world, on-site concierge and daily housekeeping with additional benefits such as late check-in and check-out, room upgrades, spa credits and more. However, members also pay nightly room rates.

With the Inspirato Pass, you automatically get the benefits of Inspirato Club plus nightly rates are already factored into the price of membership, so you can book as many vacations as possible in one month with one active reservation at a time. There is also no long-term commitment, so you can cancel the membership at any time.

Membership cost: Inspirato Club membership is $600/month plus a $600 enrollment fee and you pay nightly rates as you go. Inspirato Pass is a flat rate of $2,500/month which includes all hotel stays.

Scott’s Cheap Flights

A membership to Scott’s Cheap Flights includes flight deals and “Mistake Fares” accidentally published by airlines sent straight to your inbox. The team scours the internet for the lowest published airfare rates to popular destinations and shares them with members.

Subscribers can also track deals from a specific airport close to home or destinations of interest. A membership to Scott’s Cheap Flights is best for travelers who have flexibility on the destination and dates and are willing to fly based on low airfare rates. Flight deals don’t last long so you’ll have to act fast.

Membership cost: There are three membership tiers including Limited which is free, Premium costs $49/year and Elite $199/year.

PRIOR was started by a former travel editor who saw a gap in the market for travelers wanting a more immersive experience during their vacation. A team of experienced travel editors and local tastemakers on the ground design itineraries for curious travelers.

A PRIOR WORLD membership includes access to curated destination guides, unique local experiences in cities around the world, pre-planned group trips led by experts and for an additional fee, the team can create a custom itinerary based on your interests.

If you're a frequent traveler, PRIOR BESPOKE might be the membership better suited for you. For a flat fee per year, members get unlimited trip planning by their expert team of travel editors and membership managers.

Membership cost: PRIOR WORLD membership costs $249 per annum. PRIOR BESPOKE is $5,000 per annum.

Priority Pass

Airport terminals may have come a long way in the last decade, but killing time for a three-hour layover in a crowded airport isn’t exactly on anyone’s list of things to do, especially on vacation. Trade the busy terminals for private lounge access with Priority Pass and enjoy guaranteed Wi-Fi and snacks.

Members of Priority Pass receive access to over 1,300 airport lounges globally, including several airline lounges such as Virgin Atlantic, Air France and Turkish Airlines. Several credit cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve, American Express Platinum and Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express offer free Priority Pass memberships as part of their member benefits.

Membership cost: Choose from three membership tiers which start at $99/year for the Standard membership plus $32 per visit and go up to $429/year for the Prestige membership which includes unlimited lounge visits.

TSA Pre-Check and Global Entry are services that allow travelers to expedite the security screening process upon departure and arrival. With CLEAR Plus, enrolled members get escorted to the front of the security line once they’ve been verified using facial recognition or fingerprint scans, so they no longer have to verify identification at security. However, for expedited clearance through security screenings, TSA Pre-Check or Global Entry are still required.

CLEAR uses biometric identifiers to create a unique ID assigned to each member that is used for verification at stations across airports, stadiums and other major venues nationwide.

Membership cost: A CLEAR Plus membership is $179 per year. American Express Platinum Card Members receive a $179 statement credit and United MileagePlus members receive a discounted membership rate.

Well Traveled

Well Traveled is a members-only social and booking platform that allows members to connect with friends to find and share travel recommendations. The community-driven platform is intended to make travel planning easier by allowing you to follow people in your network that you trust, in addition to other like-minded travelers who share similar budgets and travel preferences.

Members can also take advantage of the personalized booking service that includes perks like exclusive rates, room upgrades, food & beverage credits, complimentary breakfast and more. Currently, membership is invite-only but you can also apply to be considered.

Membership cost: $150 per year.

Travel + Leisure Club

Travel + Leisure Club is a new travel subscription service offered by Travel + Leisure Group. Members can pay a monthly fee for access to preferred pricing on curated itineraries and an average of 25% savings on hotels, resorts, car rentals and activities that are listed on Travel + Leisure GO, the online travel booking site. Plus, members get a subscription to the glossy print magazine.

Members also get access to a personal concierge that can assist with travel planning, scoring tickets to sold-out events, making dinner reservations and more.

Membership cost: Travel + Leisure Club is currently offering an introductory rate of $9.95/month.

Exclusive Resorts

Lake Tahoe Northstar Mountainside Treehouse

Designed for families who value privacy, Exclusive Resorts is a small community of members (only 150 new members accepted each year) that get access to over 350 luxury residences around the world including the Amalfi Coast, Barcelona, Deer Valley, Kaua’i, Los Cabos, St. Barts and more.

Guests enjoy a more personalized experience with a dedicated on-site team who can assist with pre-trip planning details such as stocking the fridge with your favorite snacks, booking a massage or private chef, and housekeeping services.

Membership cost: There is a one-time, non-refundable initiation fee of $150,000 for a 10-year membership. Annual dues are $1,395/night and members travel 15-30 nights per year.

Sports Leisure Travel Club

It is our pleasure to welcome and introduce you to one of northern California’s largest travel groups, Sports Leisure Vacations (SLV) . Whether your travel is for a day or on an extended trip, each is carefully planned to offer you the best combination of quality , location and value . Our Tour Directors are the best and provide top-notch service.

Founded in 1979, the SLV Travel Club has over 50,000 members, with 9,000 active travelers. SLV is proud to be a member of the National Tour Association (NTA). SLV is also a registered Seller of Travel in the State of California (#2011549-40).

As a travel club member, every eight to ten weeks, you will receive our newsletter, The Traveler , and in the fall, we release our Annual Full-Color Catalog . Both of these publications keep you updated on our latest travel vacations, and important news about group travel. An electronic version may also be found on our website. For your privacy, we never share your name, email and/or personal information with anyone at any time.

Do I have to join the club to travel with Sports Leisure Vacations ? Absolutely not, though most travelers do elect to join the Sports Leisure Travel Club . Only through club membership will you receive the annual catalog, our bimonthly newsletter The Traveler , and invitations to our special events. Additionally, only members can participate in our bonus rewards program.

A complimentary membership is extended to new and potential travelers upon request. After that, it’s only $10 per person, per year.

Travel Club Gold

Travel Club Gold is our bonus rewards program and the most valuable benefits of membership in the Sports Leisure Travel Club . A member is elevated to Gold status upon completion of 20 days on the road. That can be twenty 1-day trips, four 5-day trips or whatever – just do the math. Keep track of your days by having the Tour Director sign your Travel Club Gold Registration Card on every trip. Gold members may double the member discount on every reservation.

Gold Passport Points

Gold Passport Points are a benefit of our Travel Club Gold program. Once you have attained Gold Status points are accrued depending on the dollars you spend at a ratio of roughly one-to-one. Your points are kept and automatically tabulated within our database. You’ll find your points balance is printed on the second page of every Trip Invoice. Points can be “cashed out” at a number of levels awarding from $50 to $3000 in travel credit!

The kids club is only open on weekdays.

Families can soak up the sun at Tamarijn Aruba, which happens to be on Travel + Leisure ’s list of the best all-inclusives in Aruba . Kids ages 4-12 can stay, play, and eat free at the Sea Turtles Club, where they'll enjoy crafting, face painting, movie screenings, bingo, kite-making, and tie-dye.

Meanwhile, adults can post up on the beach or at one of the four pools — or indulge in a spa treatment — before regrouping for family-friendly fun like biking, snorkeling, pickleball, tennis, and basketball. A stay here also grants you access to over 15 restaurants and bars (including options at sister property Divi Aruba), meaning picky eaters of all ages have plenty of choices.

"I stayed at The Tamarijn with friends, and there was nothing like starting and ending the day on the balcony, listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore directly in front of our room," said T+L contributor Jacquline Dole .

Since the resort is pretty crowded, you must wake up early to secure beach chairs for the whole family.

Beaches Turks and Caicos offers a 45,000-square-foot water park, 21 restaurants, 10 sparkling swimming pools, and miles of sugar-sand beaches. Little ones can mix and mingle with their favorite Sesame Street characters while adolescents can hit up the Xbox Play Lounge or teen disco. The kids camp offers specialized, complimentary facilities for children of all ages, including an Infant Program (ages 0-2), a Toddler Program (ages 3-4), a Navigators Program (ages 5-7), the Adventurers Program (ages 8-10), a Tweens Program (ages 11-14), and Teen Program (ages 15-17). Beaches is also a Certified Autism Center with specially trained staff to support children with specialized needs.

The 758-room property is divided into five villages, which makes its sprawling size feel a little less overwhelming. While you can’t go wrong with any of the room categories, larger families will appreciate the ultra-luxe three- and four-bedroom villas, which include private butler service.

"I was genuinely floored by how many places there are to eat — the food options can satisfy picky eaters and those looking for fine-dining options," said Anna Popp , associate commerce editor at T+L.

All ages will enjoy a stay at the sun-soaked Royalton Negril, Autograph Collection — take it from me. Even though my family stayed at the attached adults-only sister property, the Hideaway at Royalton Negril, we shared many amenities, including activities, bars, and restaurants.

Dining highlights include the excellent buffet with a separate kids section for comfort classics like chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks, a coffee and gelato shop that serves up refreshing sweet treats, and a lively hibachi eatery where singing and dancing are very encouraged.

While you sip tropical cocktails at the swim-up bar or enjoy the spa, children ages 4-12 can play at the kids club, and adolescents can play video games, ping pong, and tennis at the teen club. The beach area on the family-friendly side is expansive and hosts non-motorized water sports like Hobie Cats and paddle boards.

At the end of an action-packed day, retreat to your luxury suite. The family suites are especially popular because they have privacy doors between the sofa area and the main room, and the bathrooms have Jacuzzis for an extra-luxe touch. I recommend splurging on The Diamond Club, which includes butler service. Helpful staff members are on hand to reserve beach chairs, deliver food and drinks, and arrange dinner reservations — which comes in handy in the peak season around the holidays when groups trying to secure large tables line up at the restaurants.

The property’s large size means lots of walking.

Fresh off a multimillion-dollar renovation, Grand Palladium Jamaica in Montego Bay will delight you with five pools, 23 drinking and dining venues, and a seemingly endless amount of complimentary activities and entertainment offerings such as live reggae bands, kids Olympics, non-motorized water sports, and mini golf.

The main pool — said to be the largest in Jamaica — is a stunning infinity pool, and the children's pool includes a water park. The property also has a Baby Club for kids 1-3 years old, a Mini Club for children ages 4-12, and the Black & White Junior Club for tweens and teens. We'd be remiss not to mention the newly refreshed rooms and suites, each featuring contemporary decor and furnishings, private terraces, and hydromassage bathtubs.

"I visited the Grand Palladium Jamaica in September 2023 after it underwent a $27.5 million renovation. The resort sticks to its name by being truly grand... [It] strikes a nice balance of lively party and serenity, allowing guests to really make their own adventure," said T+L senior visual editor Taylor McIntyre .

Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa

The water can be a bit choppy since the property is located on the Atlantic side of St. Lucia.

At Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa, three of the five pools are designed for families: the zero-entry Splash Pool with its sloping entrance, the Activity Pool, where you and your fam can play volleyball, and the Splash Plunge Pool. The property is also home to the island’s largest water park — CocoLand, which boasts slides and a lazy river.

It gets better: The resort is home to a 30,000-square-foot paintball course. There are also eight restaurants, seven bars, and a mile-long white-sand beach where you can play volleyball, throw horseshoes, go kitesurfing, and partake in action-packed water sports. Other activities and entertainment offerings include reggae lessons, themed beach parties, karaoke, tennis, and basketball. Caretakers may also send little ones ages 3-12 to the CocoLand Kidz Klub.

Splash, the family-friendly accommodations wing, offers spacious rooms and suites with private patios and separate seating areas, including connecting units for larger groups.

Club Med Punta Cana spans 100 oceanfront acres and is Club Med’s flagship family-friendly property. Trust me: There’s something for everyone here. The value-packed amenities, like complimentary sailing lessons and a state-of-the-art circus and trapeze facility, blew me away. These are just a few of the over 30 activities included in your stay, including archery, pickleball, snorkeling, kayaking, and tennis and dance lessons.

I admit I didn’t travel here with children, but I was impressed with the kid- and family-friendly programming, including exclusive spaces like a dedicated pool. Baby Club Med and Petit Club Med are available for kids 0-2 and 2-3, respectively. Mini Club Med, suited for ages 4-10, offers activities like sailing and archery lessons. There’s also Teen Club Med (ages 11-13) and Chill Pass Club Med (ages 14-17). If you're traveling with a big crew, stay in one of the newly renovated, tropical-inspired two-bedroom family suites.

Restaurants and bars can get quite crowded and may require a long wait to be seated.

Located in Punta Cana's swanky resort area, Cap Cana, this all-inclusive resort has ample amenities, including a water park complete with a lazy river, a massive infinity pool, a stunning beach area, and 12 restaurants and bars. The kids and teens clubs offer interactive activities, supervised games, and even VR simulators. During the day, you can partake in non-motorized water sports and volleyball before enjoying family-friendly music and dance performances in the evening at the outdoor amphitheater.

Henley Vazquez , T+L A-list travel advisor and Fora co-founder, describes the property as “popular with advisors and travelers because it has incredible activities for kids during the day — including great water slides — and lovely amenities for adults, too.” Additionally, “The rooms are beautiful, the food is great, and you can fly directly into Punta Cana, which makes it convenient, too.”

Curtain Bluff

This serene 72-room resort is unique because it offers both non-motorized and motorized water sports at no additional cost. Plus, it has not one but two private beaches.

There are no performances or lively nightlife activities besides live music during dinner.

The World’s Best Award-winning Curtain Bluff in Antigua is unique because it offers an intimate and refined feel — which is rare for an inclusive property. Although the property has just 72 rooms and suites, families have plenty of room to roam out on the sand on the two private beaches. Cee Bee Kids Camp is great for kids ages 3-10 who like to craft, sail, and snorkel.

“What I love about Curtain Bluff is that when they say all-inclusive, they mean all-inclusive — even the water sports!” says Vazquez. She continues, “You can go and read a book on the beach while your kids are learning how to sail at no additional cost.”

Jumby Bay feels like your very own private oasis — and that’s because it is.

It’s definitely a splurge — rates start at over $2,000 per night.

Serenity-seeking families need not look further than this pristine private island resort in Antigua, accessible only via boat. A World’s Best Award winner , Jumby Bay spans 300 acres, “giving kids lots of space to explore safely and families plenty of room to run, bike, and play without worries of disturbing couples,” Vazquez says. You and your family can wakeboard, sail Hobie Cats, or go snorkeling, and the Camp Jumby Pavilion offers kid-friendly fun and games, including relay races, water sports, bake-offs, and musical instrument lessons.

Feel to bring the whole family — aunts, uncles, and cousins included. “The accommodations range from rooms and suites to huge estates, so whether it's a smaller family in need of a room plus a rollaway, a multi-gen looking for the flexibility of space, or a group who loves the privacy of a villa but the services of a hotel, you're covered,” Vazquez says.

“While some all-inclusives can be a great deal, they don’t all equate to a less-expensive trip,” says Vazquez. “For instance, when booking online, all-inclusives are priced based on occupancy, so if you’re booking a room for two but you’re a family of four, the room price will change.”

Additionally, it's worth noting that some properties allow kids below a certain age to stay for free, while others will charge a fee. It’s critical to have a set budget ahead of time to ensure you’re picking a property that best aligns with what you’d like to spend.

Put simply: “‘All-inclusive’ does not mean the same thing everywhere,” Vazquez explains. For example, “Some properties might exclude water sports or certain beverage options, so be sure to read the fine print!”

Before booking a resort, identify what you want in an all-inclusive. Do you want complimentary motorized water sports? Gratuities? Premium alcoholic beverages? Ensure the property meets your specific needs and expectations.

Check for seasonal amenities.

Some activities, amenities, and facilities may only be available for part of the year. For example, the Surf Shack at St. Lucia’s Coconut Bay Beach Resort, which offers kitesurfing, wing foiling, and gear rentals, is open from November to June. And at Curtain Bluff, the Cee Bee Kids Camp is open six days per week over peak holidays — and only five days per week most other times of the year.

This Luxury Jamaican Resort Just Added 2 New Villas With Private Pools and Stunning Caribbean Views — Take a Peek Inside

The Tryall Club's newest villas are perfect for family getaways.

Jamaica's laid-back lifestyle, beautiful scenery that spans Caribbean beaches and lush mountains, delicious cuisine, and vibrant culture make the island nation a popular vacation destination. And while the country's coastline is lined up with plenty of resorts , guests seeking privacy and top-notch amenities usually opt for one of the Tryall Club's villas , renowned for their personalized service and exclusive amenities.

Now, the property has added two more stunning residences to its existing portfolio of 74 villas spread around 2,200 acres just 20 minutes from Montego Bay's Sangster International Airport.

Oceana, a six-bedroom compound that accommodates 12, nestled on a hill among abundant greenery and palm trees, comprises a main house, a carriage house, a guest house with island views, and two pools with in-water sunbeds and a hot tub. The spacious accommodations feature en-suite bathrooms with wood and natural accents.

The master bedroom also has an outdoor shower and a bathroom with a soaking tub that looks out to beautiful views. Guests of Oceana can also keep active in the villa's gym or drive their golf cart — one of four — to the club's communal tennis and pickleball courts. The residence comes with a dedicated staff of six: a butler, a chef, a laundress, two gardeners, and two housekeepers.

The second villa, Love&Livity, incorporates modern interiors with the island's lush flora. The five-bedroom, two-story property boasts a massive wraparound balcony with several lounge areas and a game room.

The bedrooms and open floor plan living room/dining room have floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors for seamless indoor/outdoor transition. The villa's private pool is surrounded by a paved sundeck with sun loungers and native plants and flowers that deliver extra privacy.

Tryall also recently added a new spa to its club amenities. The space, housed in a former villa, is led by a holistic farm-to-spa concept and offers face and body treatments with plants and herbs grown on-site. Guests can indulge in sound therapy, yoga, meditation, and guided breathing sessions.

Travelers also have access to Tryall's world-class 18-hole golf course, a beach club with a swimming pool overlooking a golden swath of coastline, and two restaurants that source fresh produce and ingredients from local vendors.
