Logic, born January 22nd 1990 is a rapper from Maryland, USA. In the last five years, he has built up a loyal Internet following, and is signed to Visionary Music Group and Def Jam Recordings.

Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, better known by his pseudonym, Logic, was born in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He comes from humble beginnings, and didn’t graduate from high school. He began skipping classes in the tenth grade, when he started to do badly in every class. He was later expelled, but he used his new found free time to pursue his music career in full force.

At the young age of 13, Logic met his mentor, Solomon Taylor. When he was sixteen, Taylor brought him a bundle of CDs with beats on to write over. At the time, he was going by the name “Psychological” which is a word that he really identified with, and released an unofficial mixtape entitled “Psychological: The Mixtape” A couple of years on, and Logic opened for Pitbull, Ludacris and Method Man at a show in Maryland. Shortly after, he decided to go by the name Logic instead.

On Decemeber 17th 2010, Logic released his first official mixtape entitled “Young, Broke and Infamous”, and two music videos alongside it for “Stain in the Game” and “Backpack”. It caught the attention of Chris Zarou, who wanted Logic to be a part of his upstart independent record label Visionary Music Group. It was his second mixtape “Young Sinatra” that really caught the attention of the masses, with songs such as “All I Do” and “Prime”. The “All I Do” video was the first video for Logic to reach over a million views on YouTube. By this point he had started a fire so big that it caught the attention of Def Jam, he took the next step in his career by signing with them, and on May 7th 2013, Logic released his fourth official mixtape, “Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever”, which reached 100,000 downloads in 24 hours. He embarked on a tour with Kid Cudi, Big Sean and Tyler, the Creator on “The Cud Life Tour 2013”.

Most recently, on September 15th 2014, Logic released a singled called “Under Pressure” which he declared was the title track of an album that he released on October 21st 2014.

Live reviews

I can’t think of many rappers who have the title of ‘Sir’ before their name, and this is one of the many things that makes Sir Robert Bryson Hall II stand out from the crowd. Logic initially gained a large internet following, before releasing his critically acclaimed mix tape Young Sinatra: Welcome Forever. Making a break through YouTube is an incredible challenge, and a real reflection of Logic’s rapping talent.

Logic is an incredible performer. He flawlessly flows through his beats and tunes, never slipping up or missing a lyric. Speaking of which, the powerful lyrics of this tracks really come to life in a live performance, and resonate even more deeply with the audience when you can hear it first hand. When he sang Walk On By, he had the crowd joining in and going crazy. He really knows how to motivate a crowd and get them on his side. I completely lost track of time, and the concert flew by. I would say, if you get the chance to see him, make sure it’s a long set!

I’m absolutely gutted that I saw him before the release of his epic debut album just this month, but that’s as good a reason as any for me to go back and see the genius perform again.

Chase Center SF 10/13/19 - Great show!! If you're at all concerned about his slow, jazzy, self-reflective numbers, don't be! The show was 100% energy. He ripped through his up tempo, rapid fire flow hits. Too many rappers won't do that fast rap live, Logic not only does it live, he does it every song. He even did the first half of his Homicide verse 5 or 6 times in a gimmick to get the audience jumping. Really fun show. YBN Cordae and JID opened, both were cool and fun to watch. Each came out for a song during Logic's set and you could really see the difference in how Logic completely commanded the stage. A little stiff and scripted with his crowd interaction, but seemed very genuine. Not a fan of huge venues (although the Chase Center is spectacular) but would see Logic again in a heartbeat.

Logic was great!! The other headliner sings about screwing girls in a pretty misogynistic way, but Logic just spreads peace, love, and positivity. He was super energetic and got the crowd pumped up. He produced new beats on stage which was awesome and he brought out his notebook where he had written new lyrics to perform for us. So humbling to witness the process in addition to the product! I would love to see him at a smaller venue where he could really connect with the crowd. Also, it's so cool to hear him rap at ridiculously fast paces. He's got superb talent and you should listen to his stuff and then go to his shows and experience the awe that comes with witnessing this amazing performer.

Best show I've been to! The vibes were amazing and everyone was truly there for the music. Logic is all about peace, love, and positivity and he brings that to the stage. He really loves his fans and encouraged everyone to treat each other like family. He gave shout outs to young kids in the crowd and even brought a couple girls on stage to rap with him.

Someone in the middle of the crowd got hurt and he immediately stopped the music and everything and had everyone clear a path and the security team carried the guy out to safety within seconds.

Support this amazing artist and get your tickets. I will never miss a Logic show!!

It was awesome! A lot of people got there pretty early to start lining up. It didn't take too long to see him perform and even if it did, it was worth it! When they let us in, they played the live recording of Jimmy Kimmel, and after that, some guy came out to get us hyped up. The music started playing and it went over like twice so the cameras can record good shots and footage from different angles. Once Logic came out, everyone was so hyped! He performed extra songs after the ones he needed to do for the show. He talked to us separately and preached good shit. He's a great artist and a great individual.

This is my second concert, but my first hip-hop concert. I was blown away and I feel like it didn't even happen.

Logic has so much energy and he relates to his fans . I will never forget this experience. He looked up at me and asked my name and age. Then shouted me out to the whole audience and everyone started to scream .

This is one of the best concerts I have been to and I will definitely go again as VIP . Also Ansel Elgort was there . I saw him, but I didn't know it was him , he was just in the audience .

Logic is the best and I hope he never stops doing what he is doing .

I went to see Logic quite a while back in January and the Rave in Milwaukee WI, and it was one of the best experiences in my life. The down to earth sensation you get from Logic as a whole is so rare to find among the hip hop community and I was honored to even be in the same room as him. Not only was Logic amazing, but Micheal Christmas opened for him and now he is defiantly one of my favorite people. If you ever get the opportunity to go see Logic I definitely recommend it, and can't wait until he tours again.

Logic I dont even know if words can describe how good he was , but I will try . His performance hands down was amazing , outstanding such a great performer. He went down the stage just to shake a little kids hand, he was so humble and nice to him it melted my heart & everyone else who was at power house. Logic is not just a great performer but also a good person from heart ! Always gonna be a logic fan ! So worth going to see and being front row would be so worth it.

absolutely amazing. the environment was so positive. everyone in there was going crazy even some people on the balcony were going crazy. And Logics performance was like nothing I've ever seen before;absolutely amazing. And the best thing about it was that he was interacting with his fans in the crowd also. he made it feel like we were all really family like he said. loved all of it. Also his dj's set was so much fun. if you weren't there you should've been there.

Back in February, Logic unleashed his College Park album, a 17-track project with features from RZA, Fat Trel, Andy Hull, Joey Bada$$, Bun B, Lil Keke, and plenty of others. Following a 10-year stint with Def Jam Records, he took a leap to the independent side and partnered with BMG for the release. Yesterday (March 7), the DMV-raised rapper officially announced he will be hitting the road for his “College Park Tour.” The journey is set to kick off on May 25 in Madison, WI, and hit major cities like Chicago, Philadelphia, Austin, and Los Angeles before coming to a close in Phoenix on June 30. He will be accompanied by special guest Juicy J on select dates. Additionally, BobbyBoy Records’ own C Dot Castro and Travis Stacey will be opening all shows.

Tickets are currently on presale for Citi members through the Citi Entertainment program. They will be available to the general public beginning on Friday (March 10) at 10 a.m. local time on livenation.com

Before Logic topped Billboard charts or toured the world, he was a rapper featured on underground blogs and performing at open mics. Along the way, he caught fire with a track called “All I Do.” Complete with a guest appearance from Berner, the visual takes Logic across the campus of the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland . More than a decade later, Logic plans to lyrically return to that place in his life with the release of his eighth studio album, College Park .

“It takes place in 2011. And it’s a day in a life with me and my best friends. My boy C Dot Castro, who’s a fellow rapper, who’s all over the album actually,” Logic told SiriusXM.

“Big Lenbo, who let me stay in his basement in College Park when I was homeless and didn’t have anywhere to go; who I wouldn’t be here today without. And then of course 6ix, my in-house producer. He was at the University of Maryland. He was pre-med, he was gonna be a doctor, and I snatched him up. Now he’s a multi-platinum-selling producer, which is really cool. And it’s about all the shenanigans we get into in a day in the life, on the way from College Park to D.C. for an open mic night that I’m ‘headlining.’”

Logic brings together a number of artists, including Redman, Joey Bada$$ and RZA. The project also brings together a number of artists from around Washington, D.C. and Maryland, including Fat Trel and ADÉ. Not to be forgotten, the project also features some of his longtime friends and collaborators like C Dot Castro and Big Lenbo. Check out the complete project below.

Cyndi Lauper announces farewell tour

Cyndi Lauper  is retiring from the road. The “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” singer-songwriter announced a farewell tour Monday morning, setting one last national jaunt that will take her to arenas in 23 cities in North America this fall before she calls it a day as a touring artist.

Lauper did not release any statement explaining her reasons for deciding to do a farewell tour now, although she is expected to talk about it later this week as she promotes a new documentary about her career, “Let the Canary Sing,” that premieres on Paramount+ Tuesday.

The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour, which is being described as her first major road trip in a decade, will begin Oct. 18 in Montreal and end Dec. 5 at Chicago’s United Center.

Cyndi Lauper announces farewell tour

Arena dates she’ll be playing along the way include shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Oct. 30, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Nov. 1, L.A.’s Intuit Dome Nov. 23, the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert Nov. 24, and San Francisco’s Chase Center Nov. 26. She will also be doing a non-arena show at Detroit’s Fox Theatre Oct. 24. (Scroll down for a complete list of tour dates.)

Tickets go on sale with an artist presale Tuesday, followed by other presales before the general on-sale begins Friday at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com.

Opening acts will be announced at a later date.

“Let the Canary Sing,” directed by Alison Ellwood, which had its premiere at Tribeca last year, will begin showing on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada on Tuesday. That same day, Lauper will participate in a handprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood before attending a private local premiere of the film at the theater complex, to be followed by a Q&A. On Wednesday, she’ll be discussing the documentary and the farewell tour on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

10 concert tours to see this summer

Hang out in the sunshine with a variety of live shows

  • Newsletter sign up Newsletter

The Foo Fighters perform a concert in Washington, D.C.

After months of iffy weather across much of the globe, summer is nearly here in North America. And, lucky for its residents, many standout artists are looking to take advantage of the sunshine with some live tours.

Alanis Morissette

One of Canada's most well-known musical exports is hitting the road again. Alanis Morissette will navigate venues across the United States during her "Triple Moon Tour," which will feature 33 dates running from June to August. Morissette will not go it alone, though, as she will be accompanied on stage by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts alongside singer Morgan Wade. Morissette released her tenth LP in 2022, but the "Triple Moon Tour" will mostly be in tribute to the 25th anniversary of her fourth studio album, "Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie," which was released to critical acclaim in 1998.

While "Family Guy" may have once described him as "just some guy with a hat," singer Jason Mraz is the recipient of two Grammy Awards and remains one of the most popular guitarists and singers of the last decade. Beginning in June, Mraz will venture on his "Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride Summer 2024," with shows in more than 25 locations in the United States and Canada through August. The artist behind the hit single "I'm Yours" named his upcoming tour after his 2023 LP of the same name, his eighth studio album overall and his first in three years.

Chicago/Earth, Wind & Fire

Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire , two of the most popular bands of the 1970s, are combining for a mega-concert journey, the "Heart & Soul Tour," from July to September. Each leg of the tour will feature the "timeless music of Chicago and the iconic catalog of Earth, Wind & Fire," according to the band's website , and will "culminate in an encore performance with both bands on stage together." This timeless music will likely feature hits from both groups, including iconic soul soundtracks like "September" and "Shining Star" from Earth Wind & Fire, and rock ballads like "You're the Inspiration" from Chicago. Combined, both groups have won 11 Grammy Awards and sold more than 200 million albums.

Melissa Etheridge/Jewel

Singer Melissa Etheridge has won dozens of accolades and played thousands of venues over her decades-long career, and now she is getting ready to head back on the road. She is teaming with singer Jewel to launch the duo's summer 2024 tour . The tour covers the majority of the summer and runs from July to the beginning of October, with locations throughout the United States and Canada. Etheridge, perhaps best known for her 1993 single "Come to My Window," last released a studio album in 2021, but does not appear anywhere near the end of her journey.

Mannequin Pussy

Philly's punk rock icons are returning to the stage with a new tour. Mannequin Pussy will be embarking on their "I Got Heaven Tour" throughout July and August; the group will begin with shows in the U.K. and Europe before heading home to the United States and Canada, where they will play a series of shows before crisscrossing back to Europe again. Mannequin Pussy's music is "built on big emotions and inside jokes," said The New York Times , and the group is touring to promote their most recent studio album and fourth LP, "I Got Heaven," which was released earlier this year.

Foo Fighters

Dave Grohl and his band the Foo Fighters will be traveling down a sonic highway when they embark on their "Everything or Nothing at All Tour" in July and August. The tour comes a year after the group released their 11th LP, "But Here We Are," dedicated to both Grohl's mother Virginia and deceased band member Taylor Hawkins . The Foo Fighters will be playing shows in Manchester, Glasgow, London and other cities in the United Kingdom before playing a series of concerts in the United States. Once in America, the group, which was born out of the iconic 1990s grunge band Nirvana, will play 14 shows in 11 different cities.

Undoubtedly one of the most unique bands on this list, the psychedelic rock group Phish has formed one of the most loyal followings in music over a 40-year career (Drew Carey "talked to God" after seeing them, the television host said on X ). Now, Phish will grace the stage again with their summer 2024 tour in the United States, which will run from July to the beginning of September and will coincide with the release of their 16th LP, "Evolve," set to drop on July 12. This will mark the group's first official studio album in four years, though they did release a 2022 album under a different name.

Green Day released their 14th studio album, "Saviors," earlier this year, and they are not wasting any time promoting it. The punk rock icons are venturing on a concert tour of the same name from July 19 to Sept. 28. The band will play their popular LPs "Dookie" and "American Idiot" in their entirety, and it is very much a global endeavor: Green Day will play venues in Spain, France, Germany, the U.K., Austria and more before crossing the pond to play shows across the United States and Canada. The band is keeping busy now, as they recently headlined a UN-backed climate concert in San Francisco.

Kings of Leon

Many of the biggest names touring this summer are rock bands, and Kings of Leon are no exception. The Nashville-based group will head out on a summer 2024 tour from August to mid-October, beginning in European destinations such as the U.K., Austria, Ireland and France before playing 27 cities in the United States and Canada. The tour will be supporting Kings of Leon's ninth studio album, "Can We Please Have Fun," which was released this past February. Notably, this is the band's first album to not be released via their original recording label, RCA.

You can usher in the end of the summer on a high note by seeing one of the most notable R&B singers of all time, as Usher is embarking on his "Past Present Future" tour beginning at the end of August. The singer is riding high after a notable performance in February at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, the city where Usher also held multiple residencies totaling 100 shows. Usher will tour cities throughout the United States on his concert venture and is planning on touring Europe throughout 2025. His ninth LP, "Coming Home," was released to coincide with his Super Bowl performance.

Join the "EU Election Night 2024"

'Use your vote or others will decide for you' banner for European Elections 6-9 June

The year 2024 marks a significant political moment for the European Union and its 27 member states. From 6 to 9 June 2024, over 370 million people from 27 member states will vote in the European elections. These elections represent one of the most important democratic events globally and they are the only multinational elections in the world.

Our aim is to bring the spirit of the EU elections to Montenegro. Join us at Europe House to discuss the potential implications of the elections for the EU integration process  on Thursday, 6 June, starting at 7 p.m.

Political Groups in the European Parliament

The Members of the European Parliament sit in political groups–they are not organised by nationality, but by political affiliation. There are currently seven political groups in the European Parliament.

Precisely 23 Members are needed to form a political group, and at least one-quarter of the Member States must be represented within the group. Members may not belong to more than one political group.

Some Members do not belong to any political group and are known as non-attached Members.

For more information visit: https://www.europarl.europa.eu/about-parliament/en/organisation-and-rules/organisation/political-groups

European People’s Party (EPP)

The European People’s Party (EPP) is a centre-right political group in the European Parliament, focusing on the pro-European integration, conservative economic policies, and a social market economy. It advocates for a strong, united Europe with a robust internal market and sustainable growth. The EPP emphasises the importance of social cohesion, environmental sustainability, and digital innovation. Its members mainly include Christian democrats, conservatives, and other centre-right parties across the EU. The EPP has been the largest party in the European Parliament since 1999 and in the European Council since 2002. It is also the largest party in the current European Commission. The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, come from the EPP. According to their website, the EPP is "a family of centre-right political groups, whose roots run deep in the history and civilisation of the European continent and has been a pioneer of the European project since its inception." Significant national parties within the EPP include Germany’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU), represented by Manfred Weber, who is the President of the EPP. Spain’s People’s Party (PP), Poland’s Civic Platform (PO), the Austrian People’s Party, the Finnish National Coalition Party, and the Croatian Democratic Union are some of the EPP members.

Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D)

The Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) is a centre-left political group dedicated to promoting social justice, workers' rights, and sustainable development. It supports policies aimed at reducing inequality, enhancing social protection, and protecting the environment. The S&D advocates for a more inclusive and fair European Union, emphasising the importance of solidarity and cooperation among member states. The S&D was officially founded in 1953, making it the second oldest political group in the European Parliament. Until the 1999 European Parliament elections, they were the largest group in the parliament, but have been the second largest ever since. According to their website, the S&D advocates for “gender equality and women’s rights, affordable and decent housing for all, the Green Deal, social and labour rights for all EU citizens, an inclusive digital Europe, strengthening Europe’s global position, putting people and the planet first with responsible business conduct, and combating fascism and the extreme right." Key national parties within the S&D include the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), with prominent members such as Martin Schulz, former President of the European Parliament and current Chancellor of Germany. The Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) is another significant member, represented by figures like Iratxe García Pérez, the current leader of the S&D group in the EP, as well as Italy’s Democratic Party (PD) with David Sassoli, former President of the European Parliament, Croatia’s Social Democratic Party (SDP), the Swedish and Romanian Social Democratic parties, and others.

Renew Europe (RE)

Renew Europe is a centrist and liberal political group in the European Parliament, focusing on promoting a more dynamic, innovative, and integrated Europe. It advocates for economic liberalism, social progress, and environmental sustainability. RE aims to foster a competitive single market, advance digital transformation, and support the rule of law and fundamental rights across the EU. RE believes that “for the European Union to be strong, it must be both a project of European unification after the Cold War, and a peace project after World War II. The reunification of Europe through a true and deep process of integration of all European countries, from east to west and from north to south, must remain a key element of the Europe of the future.” Prominent national parties within RE include France’s Renaissance (RE) (formerly La République En Marche!)—the political party of French President Emmanuel Macron, the Dutch Democrats 66 (D66) with influential members like Sophie in 't Veld. From Romania, the Save Romania Union (USR) is a notable member, with significant politicians such as Dacian Cioloș, who has been the leader of the RE group and a former Prime Minister.

Greens/European Free Alliance (Greens/EFA)

The Greens/European Free Alliance (Greens/EFA) is a political group that combines green politics with regionalist and minority interests. It advocates for environmental sustainability, climate action, human rights, and social justice. The Greens/EFA emphasise the importance of transitioning to a sustainable economy, protecting biodiversity, and ensuring social equality. According to their website, “The Greens have made a difference and fought for Europe to become a global leader in terms of climate and environmental protection, peace and social justice, fair globalisation, and in the fight for human rights and self-determination.” With 72 members (35 women and 37 men) from across Europe, it is the fourth-largest group in the European Parliament and the only one that has always had gender-balanced co-presidency. Significant national parties within the Greens/EFA include Germany’s Alliance 90/The Greens, with prominent members such as Ska Keller, co-president of the group. France’s Europe Ecology – The Greens (EELV), the Czech Pirate Party, the Swedish Green Party, and Austria’s The Greens – The Green Alternative are some of the important members.

Identity and Democracy (ID)

Identity and Democracy (ID) is a right-wing and far-right political group in the European Parliament, focused on nationalism, Euroscepticism, and strict immigration control. It opposes any further European integration, advocating instead for the sovereignty of member states and the reduction of the EU institutions' powers. The ID group promotes policies aimed at preserving national identities and cultures. The group states that its core priorities are the protection of Europe’s cultural heritage and the sovereignty of European nations, creating jobs and growth, increasing security, stopping illegal immigration, regulating legal immigration, fighting against the EU bureaucracy, and preventing what it describes as the potential Islamisation of Europe. The ID also opposes the potential accession of Turkey to the European Union. The group advocates for a Europe based on cooperation and further EU reforms through "more transparency and accountability" in Brussels but rejects further evolution towards a “European superstate”. Significant national parties within the ID include Italy’s League (Lega), represented by figures like Matteo Salvini, France’s National Rally (RN), with Marine Le Pen as a prominent figure, and other parties such as Austria’s Freedom Party. In May 2024, Germany’s Alternative for Germany (AfD) was expelled from ID.

European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR)

The European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) is a right-wing political group promoting Euroscepticism, national sovereignty, and conservative values. It advocates for economic liberalism, a reformed EU that respects the autonomy of member states, and traditional social policies. The ECR group seeks to limit the EU’s intervention in national affairs and prioritises national interests. According to their website, “the ECR is a centre-right political group in the European Parliament, founded in 2009 with a shared goal of reforming the EU based on eurorealism, respecting the sovereignty of nations, and focusing on economic recovery, growth, and competitiveness. ECR focuses its efforts on decentralisation, connecting people and businesses, promoting fair and free trade, and creating a safe and secure Europe.” Key national parties within the ECR include Brothers of Italy, with Italian Prime Minister and ECR President Giorgia Meloni, Poland’s Law and Justice party (PiS), with significant members like Ryszard Legutko—co-president of the group, the Czech Civic Democratic Party (ODS), Spain’s Vox party, and the Swedish Democrats.

The Left in the European Parliament – GUE/NGL

The Left in the European Parliament – GUE/NGL is a left-wing political group advocating for anti-capitalism, social equality, and environmental sustainability. It supports policies aimed at reducing social and economic inequalities, strengthening public services, and promoting peace and solidarity. The group is committed to a progressive and transformative European agenda. According to their website, “The Left stands for workers, the environment, feminism, peace, and human rights.”

“The radically market-oriented logic of competition within the EU and towards the rest of the world means that the current project is designed for elites, not people. We are committed to changing that, breaking the Brussels bubble and bringing the voice of the streets to the European Parliament,” they state on their website. Prominent national parties within GUE/NGL include Greece’s Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA), Spain’s Unidas Podemos, Germany’s The Left (Die Linke), and France’s Unbowed France.
