Now in its 7th year of touring the “Stars of Irish Country Show” is a hugely popular show that tours all across the UK for 3 weeks annually from the end of September up to the middle of October performing in some of the most prestigious theatres and venues all across England and Scotland to packed houses. To date over 60,000 people have attended the shows to nightly standing ovations and rave reviews. The 2024 line-up will feature many top Irish Music stars and will include global sensation Owen Mac from Coleraine in Co. Derry, the energetic Shawn Cuddy from Laois, the fiddling maestro Stephen Smyth from Portaferry in Co.Down and the gentle giant of Country Music Mick Flavin who each will showcase their biggest Country and Irish hit songs with some light hearted humor all in the company of Irelands top backing band Keltic Storm. Other performers will also be involved. This is a rare chance to see so many top acts all one show and one thing is for sure if its Country Music you like then this is the show for you. Following sell-out tours with nightly standing ovations, join four of the Emerald Isle’s favourite Country Music Stars all in one super show - featuring the young sensation Owen Mac from Derry, the energetic Shawn Cuddy from Laois, the multi-talented instrumentalist and vocalist Stephen Smyth from County Down and Tyrone's own favourite Curtis Magee - who between them have scored countless accolades, notched up over thirty No.1 hit songs, and have toured all over the world to packed houses of legions of fans. Each of the four stars will showcase all their trademark hit songs, in the company of the fantastic backing band Keltic Storm.

Owen is a project made by Mike Kinsella, which he started on his own, I actually saw him live in Nottingham last year and I loved it. My friend took me along to see him, to be honest I'd never heard of him before and I'm not really a big fan of the indie kind of scene. But he has a natural musical talent that is enchanting. Owen is all about the soft melodies that are relaxing and the complex acoustics on his guitar and keyboard. His debut album, which is actually called 'Owen', not very inventive but anyway it was very different from the projects he originally started working on. There were many rumours at one point that he was going to become part of a band that would tour but this was never seen, whether the rumours were true to start with or not I'm not sure. In 2004 he began collaborating with his cousin Nate who helped with the instrument side of things and engineering, which resulted in his third album 'I Do Perceive'. During the release of his album in 2006 he became a husband and a father, which meant he became pretty full of responsibilities very quickly. In some of his YouTube videos that he makes himself you can actually see his child make a small appearance in the background, very cute. He still managed to carry on with his musical career whilst balancing his family life; his last album was released in July last year. I couldn't say which of his songs are my favourite because I don't think they were very memorable for me or most people, but he provides a beautiful performance and is fantastic to watch live, I wouldn't mind seeing him again at a gig of his if he's ever in Nottingham again.
