Wesley Plaisier Wins Challenge Tour 15
Plaisier victorious in challenge tour.
Wesley Plaisier overcame Damian Mol in all Dutch final in the last of five Challenge Tour events this weekend in Leicester.
Plaisier, the 2022 WDF World Master was pushed all the way by Mol but managed to find a break of throw in the deciding leg for a 5-4 victory to secure the event win and the £3,000 in prize money. This £3,000 has catapulted Plaisier up the order of merit into 5th position from which he will expect to be called upon to take part in upcoming Pro Tour Events.
Route to the Challenge Tour Event 15 Final
Plaisier beat Sebastian Bialecki 5-3 in his semi-final after a 5-0 whitewash of Darren Armstrong in the Quarter Final where the Dutchman averaged over 101. Damian Mol overcame Dragutin Horvat in his semi-final, putting an end to an exceptional weekend for Horvat. This came after a 5-3 victory for Horvat over Dominik Gruellich at the quarter-final stage.
Elsewhere in Challenge Tour 15
The performance of the day came in the third round when Connor Scott averaged a stunning 109 to beat Sam Spivey 5-0. Scutt, who won Challenge Tour event 13 yesterday was unable to carry this superb form through the afternoon falling in the round of 32 to Darren Armstrong. Dragutin Horvat continued an exceptional weekend by reaching the semi-final. The German made back to back finals in events 13 and 14 resulting in his own charge up the order of merit table where he now occupies 8th spot.

CALENDAR: These are the playing dates for all PDC Challenge Tour tournaments in 2024
In 2024, the PDC Challenge Tour will again consist of 24 tournaments. This circuit is open to players who participated at Q-School but failed to win a Tour Card. A kind of second division, for players who want to seek refuge within the PDC's system.
The 24 tournaments will be played over five weekends. One of those five weekends will be played in Hildesheim, Germany, and the other four weekends in the United Kingdom.
Bizarre: Darren Webster would've claimed PDC Tour Card had he skipped final day of Q-School 2024
Five tournaments are scheduled during the first weekend from Jan. 19 to 21. This will be followed by five tournaments in Hildesheim, Germany, from March 15 to 17. Five tournaments will also be played from June 7 to 9 and August 16 to 18. During the concluding weekend in Leicester on Nov. 2 and 3, there will be four tournaments.
At each Challenge Tour tournament, there is a prize pool of £15,000 to distribute. With the prize money a ranking is established. At the end of the season, the numbers one and two receive an invitation to the World Darts Championship, plus a Tour Card for 2025 and 2026.
In addition, there is another reward for players who do well. The top of the standings have a chance to compete as a reserve player in the Players Championship tournaments on the PDC Pro Tour. If a Tour Card holder fails to register or cancels, the highest-ranked player on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit will be invited to fill in.
These 128 players will have a PDC Tour Card in 2024 as Q-School adds new names

Invited players who are exempted to the last 32 and lose in their first match of the event shall not be credited with prize money on the Order of Merit, ProTour Order of Merit or European Tour Order of Merit, however they shall still receive full prize money payment.
The 16 seeded players for the NEO.bet German Darts Championship (ET9) and Flanders Darts Trophy (ET10) have been confirmed and are listed below.
