He's very patient and knowledgeable and we learnt such a great deal from him about the country's rich history (most of our own had been confined to the late twentieth- and twenty-first century). We had experienced some trouble with purchasing tickets online and Sarak drove us to the ticket office to pick them up and the process was seamless. We did a one-day tour with Sarak, which included the Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Bayon, and more. Sarak speaks excellent English and is really knowledgeable about the cultural and religious history of the various places we visited. The trip was comfortable and pleasant, and it was great not to have to worry about transport. Definitely recommending him to others who intend to visit Siem Reap. Date of experience: November 2022 Guest2: I spent 2 wonderful days with Sarak. He showed me in a private tour all the importante temples around Siem Reap. 1st day: Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple, Chau Say Tevoda, Ta Nei, Ta Prohm and on 2nd day: Preah Khan, Neak Poan, East Mebon, Banteay Samre and Banteay Srei. He knows all the historical details and history and all legends and stories with Hinduism & Buddhism gods and religion. He is a really good storyteller and it isn't boring to hear all the details. He linked the stories with the different temples and the appropriate rock carvings. The driver drove us safely from temple to temple. Back in the vehicle he was waiting for us with water and refreshing towels. We had Lunch in local Restaurants. The food was delicious! I am happy and satisfied that I could do the two tours with Sarak. I am very happy to recommend him! I became an English tour guide in 2017, setected by ministry of tourism of Cambodia. I was one of the other 35 candicates who passed the exam for tourguide training. As I passed for the exam, I know that my goal is in my hand. Presently, I have been working as a freelance English speaking tour guide in Siem Reap. At the same time, I also work as an English teacher at one organization. I started school when I was 6 years old in one primary school located 5 km away from my house. I had studied there for 4 years, before i started english class in one organization. If you are looking to book a tour for Angkor Wat please don’t hesitate. Sarak is extremely knowledgeable about the history of all temples and the history of Indo-China and the Khmer. He speaks perfect English and the air conditioned car with chilled towels are a delight…didn’t think we needed them…boy were they a nice bonus…it gets hot out there. Most importantly he is extremely flexible and listens to you and will make changes accordingly. There are many options available…however the knowledge, stories and making the temples come alive were indispensable….worth every penny and a lot more. Please do yourself a favor and book , you can’t do any better!

I was impressed with every aspect of this trip from the Trip Leader, accommodations, transportation and activities. The food has to be some of the best I have ever had! You could spend days and days meandering through the Angkor Archaeological Park - just remarkable. Get ready to capture the iconic sunrise shot of Angkor Wat - well worth the super early wake-up call! We also had the opportunity to visit the Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity which was another highlight for me.

My friend and I had a great time. Our group was only 8 people. We represented all age groups and were from the USA, Canada, Australia, Austria, and Germany. We had the best-ever tour guide, Ratha Van. He was one of the best tour guides I have ever had. He went far and beyond for us and went with us every place. He knew where to stop and made additional arrangements for us on our time off. He could not have done more for us. We made new best friends and stayed in touch after our trip. I would suggest that you plan your trip carefully to be sure you match up your activity ability with the difficulty of each trip. Our was a level 2 and worked out well. Others told me I could easily do a 3 but I would certainly not go for a 4 or a 5. Make sure you match up to not overdo your ability. I plan on doing many more trips.

Cambodia Highlights 5-Day Tour

The tour was amazing and went without a hitch. We were particularly impressed with our guides and our charming drivers. They knew so much and answered every question with such depth and insight, we feel we got the most of both Cambodia’s history and it’s beautiful culture. The pace of the tour was good, and we appreciate our guides being flexible for rests when it was too hot for us. In both Phnom Penh and Siem Reap our hotels were good. The only recurring issue was the beds in both hotels were really hard and uncomfortable. We had to ask for pillows and back support in both hotels- it only helped partially. Aside from that our experience was great!!

Cambodia Real Food Adventure

THe tour was great. We had a fantastic group - only 7 of us and we all got on. Hai was very knowledgeable and passionate about his country. His family is from Siem Reap and he is an 'official' guide, having undertaken a 6 month course to become registered. He spent several years as a guide in Siem Reap and now guides people around the whole country with Intrepid. He was always happy and patient with us and always ready with a 'dad' joke and a giggle. Would 100% recommend. Most of the hotels were great, but the Angkor Panoramic was just average. It was in need of a face lift. There was also a lot of time spent travelling which could do with an extra day or 2 in places like Battambang to split the travel. There were several 5 hour plus days travelling and sometimes we were told that we would get somewhere to have time to do something and we wouldn't quite make it in time. The possible delays could have been factored in. Suggestions - develop a sheet with common phrases - hello, thanks etc Provide more information on what to do during spare time and a bit of information on the key cities and towns. Make the dinner in Battambang an included activity Don't eat at the NGO restaurant twice - perhaps try some French fusian

Best of Cambodia: Phnom Penh to Siem Reap 5-Day Tour

The tour was generally well organized and I felt safe and well taken care of. Accommodations were good, although one hotel was newly opened in a remote area of Phnom Penh with very limited options for dining or even a mini market Accommodations in Siem Reap were nice and located more centrally, although a bit tired (understandable after the impact of the pandemic). All-in-all highly recommended.

Cambodia Explorer

Our tour guide Hul was fantastic! He was knew so much about the culture and history of Cambodia but also was really funny and helped us to have a fun time. He was so kind and helpful and went above and beyond with helping the group if they experienced any sort of difficulty. Hul also showed us the best spots for nightlife in Cambodia and was always there to party with us! He definitely contributed to the 10 out of 10 experience! I would highly recommend this tour and loved every minute of it!

Angkor Bike, Hike, Kayak

I had a great time biking and hiking with Phearon! He did a great job of tailoring the experience to match my needs and fitness level and really went above and beyond to make my time in Siem Reap worthwhile. None of the activities are "extreme" but you'll get a nice workout and have a chance to see what life is like for regular Cambodians as you visit their homes and temples. Then of course, there are the ancient sites in the Angkor Wat complex, which are absolutely stunning. Don't miss this trip to see both sides of a neat country!

Cambodia Bike Tour

We found Siem Reaper Travel on Tourradar to plan our incredible bike trip. With the help of the friendly and professional staff, we were able to organize our seven-day cycling journey from Phnom Penh all the way to Siem Reap. Our guide, Rith, was an absolute knowledgeable to have by our side as we explored the lush Cambodian countryside. We were graced with smiles from local villagers and children along the way. The bikes were new, and the accommodation was superb. It was excellent trip, highly recommended.
