Easily one of the best concerts I've been to. From start to finish the energy was insane. Joseph Chilliams opened up with his hilarious dance moves and songs full of hard-hitting punchlines. His humor was infectious and he got the crowd hyped up for the rest of the show. Next up was Sylvan LaCue who did a great job at getting the crowd involved in his performance as he spat never-ending flows. The drops went crazy and he set the tone for the headliner. The second he walked in, Saba jumped across the stage with explosive energy and got the crowd jumping. For a generally feel-good type artist, there were a lot more moshpits than I ever expected. With only half the venue full I still felt like I was at a festival the crowd fed off of saba's energy and he fed off the crowd's. After debuting some new music, saba got off the stage and hung out with fans. I got to take a picture with him and he signed my bucket list hoodie. Like I said, this was one of the best performances I got to watch and the fact that tickets were only $25 made it that much better. SABA IS A MUST SEE LIVE

The show was amazing. It was a small venue which is always the best and the sound set up was great. All of the openers were fantastic as well as the DJ which was very surprising as usually openers are a little week. Saba absolutely killed it with a great sound, good energy, and a fun show. 10/10

The intimate setting, turned up crowd, and energetic performances by Saba, Sylvan LaCue and the rest of the Pivoters made for an explosive show. Me and my plus one had the best time at this event. I'm already looking forward for the next Saba Pivot tour.

This show was at the Mid. It was GREAT to see the Pivot Gang, but the advertising was not at all clear that this was a DJ set; my friends and I had planned to see a concert.

Still a pleasant night, and I'm still a fan of Saba and the whole Pivot Gang.

The crowd was amazing. SABA's performance was incredible! Felt very personal actually. He really gave us so much energy and performed a great mix of songs from both Care for Me and the Bucket List Project!

Overall - AMAZING NIGHT!

Saba’s In The Footsteps Of Elephants

From warring tribes to ivory poachers, conservationist and elephant expert, Saba Douglas-Hamilton, takes you on a wild and precipitous journey, meandering from Kenya to the Congo, Namibia to St Tropez, to share the trials and triumphs of what it takes to save a single species – the African elephant.

Saba vividly brings to life our fight for nature with moving insights from her life amongst elephants, her childhood in the wild and work as a wildlife filmmaker. This tale of unlikely heroes fighting against the odds is one of courage, hope, compassion and humour – that cannot fail to inspire us all.

Born and raised in Kenya by her zoologist father and author mother, her total immersion in African culture and wildlife, together with a first class degree in Social Anthropology, made her a compelling and knowledgeable presenter on the BBC’s hugely successful Big Cat Diaries and This Wild Life series. She has also produced, directed and presented a wide variety of programmes for the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet, winning multiple awards for Heart of a Lioness and Saba and the Rhino’s Secret. Her documentary series Unknown Africa shone a light on the African continent with features on Angola, the Comoros Islands and the Central African Republic.

Saba And Elephant Watch Camp

Saba grew up in the bush with her parents Ian and Oria Douglas-Hamilton, renowned conservationists in their own right, and was introduced to elephants as a babe in arms. She was sniffed from head to toe by an elephant called Virgo, whom her mother had come to trust, a ‘baptism’ she believes was part of her lifelong love of elephants.

Together with her husband Frank, who works as Chief Operations Officer for Save The Elephants , she relocated her family to Elephant Watch Camp in the Samburu National Park, a luxury safari camp set up by her parents. This move and the dramas of running a safari camp with a young family in remote Kenya was the subject of the BBC series This Wild Life.

Any further Theatre Tour venues coming up in NE/NW England or Yorkshire ?

The three theatres on this tour in the north of England are: Chesterfield, Buxton and Morecambe. Obviously the first two are perhaps more north Midlands than true north. Both lovely towns if you do choose to travel and spend a night. I hope you can make it to one of the shows.

Hello Saba – Enjoyed your presentation at Haywards Heath a few years ago – Look forward very much to saying hello again when we come to see you in Brighton.

A Do-It-Yourself Korean Ramen Bar With A Robot Fried Chicken Chef Has Opened In West London

SABA puts the ramen -making power in your hands, with a whole host of options to choose from.

Sam Barker

For most people in London, the word ‘ramen’ conjures up two basic visions. There’s the simple packet ramen from a nearby convenience store or Asian supermarket or the sit-down ramen experience with chewy noods and broth that has been slaved over for hours. But there’s an in-between world, popular in South Korea, that SABA is bringing to the streets of London.

Dropping down in Kensington, SABA is bringing the world of DIY self-serve ramen to Londoners – and we couldn’t be more excited. Sure, part of going out to a restaurant is the experience of being cooked for and not doing it yourself. But goddamnit, we still love the allure of self-serve! And at SABA it’s all about the convenience of taking simple ramen packets and turning them into hearty meals within minutes.

Now, SABA isn’t quite the first place to give Londoners the chance to cook up their own ramen bowls. A self-serving ramen bar popped up temporarily in the capital last year . But SABA is the first permanent location for ramen slurpers to choose their ramen and customise it to their heart’s content.

The experience at SABA

So what exactly goes down at a self-serve ramen bar? Customers can c hoose from a wall of ramen options (with over 25 types of ramen on offer) . These then get dropped into bowls, topped up with boiling water, and finished with your choice of toppings. Then just park your seat at the bar and get to slurping!

With a plethora of ramen to choose from and plenty of topping options, the possibilities are virtually endless!

More than just ramen…

SABA could easily stop at just being a convenient place for a quick and tasty meal. But that’s clearly not enough for them. In their store, you’ll also find a robot chef cooking up delicious K.F.C. (that’s Korean Fried Chicken). There’s also a supermarket of cooking essentials, and ready-to-eat kimbap (a Korean take on sushi ), soft cream- and fruit-filled roll-cakes, and plenty of drinks to wash it all down.

It’s a one-stop shop for the hungry, soon-to-be-hungry, and late-night food cravings . It’s open until 11pm, so it’s perfect for a post-pub pick-me-up or for filling the stomach ahead of a night on the town.

Why Coco Gauff deserves to be included in the 'Big-3' argument alongside Iga Swiatek & Aryna Sabalenka instead of Elena Rybakina

C oco Gauff's rapid rise to the women's tennis summit continued as she brushed Ons Jabeur aside for a place in the semifinals at the 2024 French Open . The American has been widely regarded as the 'next big thing' in tennis and now her immense potential is on display in her performances at Roland-Garros.

Gauff has been a star since her time on the junior circuit. The teenage sensation held the World No. 1 spot in junior tennis and has continued that form on the main Tour. The American suffered a shock first-round defeat at Wimbledon 2023 but her form since then has been immaculate and she is now knocking on the door for the top spot in women's tennis.

Coco Gauff confirmed as the new World No. 2

With her semifinal berth secured and Aryna Sabalenka out in the French Open quarterfinals, Coco Gauff is set to be confirmed as the new World No. 2 in the WTA rankings. The 20-year-old has been in the form of her life since late 2023 and her consistency has been rewarded with a Grand Slam and a new career-best ranking, among other achievements.

Gauff joined hands with Brad Gilbert after her Wimbledon disappointment in 2023 and the duo have had quite a successful doubles partnership since then. As for her singles performances, the 20-year-old won her maiden Grand Slam title in front of her home crowd at the US Open last year and her maiden WTA 1000 title at the 2023 Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati before that.

A semifinal run at the Australian Open this year followed and now, a successful run at the Roland-Garros has further enhanced Gauff's reputation. Speaking of her history at the French Major, Coco Gauff burst onto the scene with a run to the final in 2022, but failed at that last hurdle. The American will be keen to turn around the result this time and go all the way on the Paris clay.

Has Coco Gauff done enough to be considered among the 'Big Three'?

Coco Gauff has shown with her performances that she is a force to be reckoned with. The American has surpassed Elena Rynakina in the quest to be the 'Big Three' in women's tennis with her all-round displays through the year.

Iga Swiatek , Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina were considered the 'Big Three' in tennis due to their dominance over a long time. The three women stars were a cut above the rest on the WTA tour but their dominance seems to have ended with Gauff's emergence, with the American likely replacing Rybakina in the 'Big Three' picture.

Gauff and Rybakina have only faced off once at Toronto in 2022, with the American winning the match in the final set tie-break. Gauff has shown consistency from the end of 2023 onward, while Rybakina has suffered during the same period.

Gauff's performance in the last three Grand Slams is way better compared to Rybakina. Gauff won the US Open title in 2023 and followed it up with a semifinal run at the Australian Open and now the French Open this year. Elena Rybakina, on the other hand, lost in the third round of the US Open last year and in the second round of the 2024 Australian Open - and now she exits Roland-Garros in the quarterfinals.

Thus, Coco Gauff has shown consistency on all surfaces and in every tournament on the WTA tour. The 20-year-old has already developed an aura of inevitability around her and frequently makes it to the business end of the tournament. The goal for her now will be to convert those semifinal and final appearances in the tournaments into championship titles.

After the French Open, Gauff's next big assignment will be the Wimbledon Championships in London. Wimbledon has been the American's weakest Slam, with two fourth-round finishes being her best performance at SW19. However, with form on her side and the high of a career-best ranking, Gauff could potentially be set for a good run in London.

Still only 20, Gauff has loads of time ahead of her to reach the much-coveted No. 1 spot in women's tennis. However, her recent surge has already ensured that the American is a part of the 'Big Three' in women's tennis - and showing no signs of slowing down.
