Produced by Live Nation and promoted by FPC Live , the 32-date SPIRITS ON FIRE TOUR will commence on October 2 in Dallas, TX and will conclude on November 19 in Los Angeles, CA at the Hollywood Bowl . Tomorrow night, in support of The Smashing Pumpkins tour announcement, the GRAMMY® Award-winning, critically acclaimed band will be performing and talking on CBS’ The Late Late Show with James Corden .

Later today, The Smashing Pumpkins will appear at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood for a commemorative ceremony in celebration of their tour announcement. Each band member will add their handprints in cement, joining a long list of global treasures before them.

When The Smashing Pumpkins first emerged out of Chicago in 1988, the world had never heard a band quite like them. They spun together rock, pop, shoegaze, metal, goth, psychedelia and electronic into a kaleidoscope of saccharine melodies, fuzzy distortion, bombastic orchestration, incendiary fretwork, eloquent songcraft and unshakable hooks. Upon their formation, their sound was different, iconoclastic and wholly new—and it still is today. As a result, they’ve sold over 30 million albums worldwide and collected two GRAMMY ® Awards, two MTV VMAs and an American Music Award. Their catalog is highlighted by the platinum Gish [1991], the quadruple-platinum Siamese Dream [1993], diamond-certified Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness [1995], platinum Adore [1998] and gold Machina/The Machines of God [2000]. In 2018, they embarked on one of their most successful tours ever, the Shiny and Oh So Bright Tour , followed by SHINY AND OH SO BRIGHT, VOL. 1 / LP: NO PAST. NO FUTURE. NO SUN. Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins coming to AmFam Field

According to my very light internet sleuthing, Green Day have played Milwaukee 14 times since 1993. I’m skeptical of that number considering how often the legendary trio seem to stop in Brew City, although I’m quite certain it’ll grow by one when they take to American Family Field on Aug. 24 along with a lineup of heavy hitters well-suited for the venue.

“The Saviors Tour” puts Green Day at the top of the bill, but ticket-holders will want to arrive nice and early for the undercard of The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas.

The stadium show will mark the second trip to Milwaukee in a little more than a year for Green Day, who headlined day one of the Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival this past July. Two of the three other acts in the lineup are pretty familiar with the city as well, with The Linda Lindas here in August to support Paramore and The Smashing Pumpkins visiting Fiserv Forum in October 2022.

By the time that merry band of bands rolls into town, Green Day will have the freshest album of the bunch — their 14th studio LP, Saviors , which is due out Jan. 19. Fellow punk rockers Rancid beat them to the punch by a couple months with Tomorrow Never Comes (released this past June), while The Smashing Pumpkins put out the final installment of their ambitious Atum: A Rock Opera in Three Acts in May. The Linda Lindas’ last album effort was 2022’s Growing Up , although they did drop singles “ Too Many Things ” and “ Resolution/Revolution ” earlier this year.

That’s a lot of musical bang for your buck, which you can fork over for tickets starting with a series of presales — the first of which is a Green Day mailing list presale at 10 a.m. next Wednesday, Nov. 8 — followed by the general sale at 10 a.m. next Friday, Nov. 10. You can pick up those tickets online via Ticketmaster or at the American Family Field box office.

MILWAUKEE - The Smashing Pumpkins on Wednesday, May 11 announced their North American arena tour with special guests Jane’s Addiction. The tour will stop at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on Oct. 30.

Produced by Live Nation, the 32-date "Spirits on Fire Tour" will start in Dallas on Oct. 3 and wrap-up in Los Angeles on Nov. 19.

Additionally, the tour will stop at Chicago's United Center on Nov. 5. The Smashing Pumpkins first emerged out of Chicago in 1988. Since, the band has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and collected two Grammy awards, two MTV video music awards and an American Music Award.

The Smashing Pumpkins confirmed they will release more music in 2022 as they resume touring.

The Smashing Pumpkins Announce New Tour Dates

T he Smashing Pumpkins have announced headlining tour dates for this summer. The band had previously unveiled shows with Green Day on their Saviors Tour .

The new dates include a dozen concerts that will take place during open days on the Green Day tour. The new North American shows start almost immediately after the Saviors Tour starts on July 29, with a July 31 gig in Muskoka, Ontario.

The headlining tour completes on Sept. 27, two days before the Smashing Pumpkins’ shows with Green Day concludes in San Diego.

Atum: A Rock Opera in Three Acts , the Smashing Pumpkins’ 12th album, was released in May 2023, after a three-part rollout that started in November 2022 with the first 11 songs. The second set of tracks arrived in March 2022, with the final 11 completing the album with the LP’s full release.

Earlier this year, the band put out a call for a new guitarist . More than 10,000 people applied for the job, but no official word has been released on the replacement yet for Jeff Schroeder, who left the group in October after 16 years.

Where Are the Smashing Pumpkins Playing in 2024?

The Smashing Pumpkins have a busy 2024 lined up. They will play a series of European tour dates starting on June 7 in Birmingham before winding down that leg of shows on July 16 in Athens. Concerts include dates with Weezer , Interpol and Tom Morello .

The Saviors Tour with Green Day launches on July 29 with a stadium show in Washington, D.C. For the next two months, the Pumpkins will alternate dates on that tour with headlining shows by themselves.

The newly announced headlining dates include stops in Montreal, Kansas City, Des Moines and St. Louis, before wrapping up on Sept. 27 in Las Vegas. You can see the Smashing Pumpkins’ 2024 tour itinerary below.

Tickets for the new dates will be available beginning with a presale on Tuesday at 10 a.m. local time. The general on-sale starts on Friday at 10 a.m. local time. You can find more information on the band’s website .

Green Day Detail 2024 Tour With the Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, the Hives, and More

Green Day recently told fans that they’d be going on a North American tour next year with support from the Smashing Pumpkins , Rancid , and the Linda Lindas . The band has now shared the details of the Saviors Tour, which is scheduled to kick off in Europe in May. For the European leg of the tour, Green Day will have support from Nothing but Thieves, the Hives, Donots, the Interrupters, and Maid of Ace. The group begins the North American leg in July. Green Day’s tour comes in support of the band’s new album, Saviors . The band will also use the trek celebrate the 30th anniversary of Dookie and 20th anniversary of American Idiot .

“We’ve never been more excited to unleash new music than with Saviors , a record that’s meant to be rocked live, together. So let’s thrash,” Green Day remarked in a press release. “We’ve got some amazing friends who are coming along for the ride!”

Saviors , the follow-up to 2020’s Father of All… , is out January 19. Below, watch the music video for the new LP’s second single, “ Look Ma, No Brains! ”

Smashing Pumpkins have added to their upcoming tour schedule with a run of headlining shows taking place this summer and fall.

In between their upcoming gigs opening for Green Day on their own “Saviors Tour,” the Pumpkins will play headlining shows in Montreal, Kansas City, Des Moines, St. Louis, Reno, Las Vegas, and beyond.

For the newly announced shows, a ticket pre-sale begins Tuesday, April 2nd (use code VAMPIRE ), with a public on-sale taking place on Friday, April 5th via Ticketmaster .

Fans can also find deals or get tickets to sold-out shows via Stubhub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

Smashing Pumpkins recently launched an open call for a new guitarist following the departure of Jeff Schroeder. The band received over 10,000 applications , but have yet to announce who won the job.

A press release announcing Smashing Pumpkins’ new tour dates also confirms that the band is currently working on new music for release later this year.

After reuniting for the first time in 14 years to perform an intimate show in London, the original members of Jane’s Addiction have announced a co-headlining tour with fellow alt-rock legends Love and Rockets, with a Phoenix concert at Arizona Financial Theatre on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024.

Bassist Eric Avery, who quit Jane’s Addiction in 2010, rejoined the fold in 2022, but guitarist Dave Navarro had to miss the tour they did that year with Smashing Pumpkins due to long COVID-19.

That makes this the first time all four members of the classic Jane's Addiction lineup — Perry Farrell, Avery, Navarro and drummer Stephen Perkins — have toured together since Avery’s departure.

The first time Jane’s Addiction members went their separate ways, in 1991, their farewell tour became the first Lollapalooza festival.

Lead singer Perry Farrell is also credited with having coined the catchphrase Alternative Nation.

Jane's Addiction's second album, “Ritual de lo Habitual,” sent two singles — “Stop!” and “Been Caught Stealing” — to the top of Billboard’s modern-rock charts on its way to going triple-platinum. “The Great Escape Artist,” their 2011 reunion effort, spawned another Top 10 modern-rock hit, “Irresistible Force.”
