CMBA Kicking off 52nd Annual Spring Tour of Homes

ST. CLOUD ( WJON News ) -- This spring marks the 52nd year that the Central Minnesota Builder's Association is putting on the Tour of Homes.

For the next two weekends, visitors can take the tour and see the latest in home design and construction.

CMBA Executive Director Wanda Schroeder says they have 20 homes on this year's spring tour that you can check out for free...

I know that there will be homes with golf simulators and some of them may have basketball courts inside. It's always fun to go see what's new in the flooring, what's new in colors when you're talking about painting the walls. The houses are decorated so it's fun to see that as well.

Schroeder says it's a great opportunity to get some new ideas on designs and talk to the professionals...

I think one of the biggest benefits is being able to go out and visit these homes is not only to see what types of homes are out there, to see what the features and functions are, but to also really connect to some of the experts or builders and talk about their project or to ask the questions they might have on if they want to do a build.

The doors are open on Fridays from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays Noon to 5:00 p.m.

CMBA Builders showcase their homes to consumers in our annual Fall Tour of Homes the weekends of September 15th and 24th.  This event is free for the public to come and view and a great opportunity for consumers to connect with builders to talk about their next home and check out the latest household features.

Tour Homes open Friday 4:30pm-7pm and Saturday & Sunday from 12pm-5pm.

Magazines available after September 10th at local Coborn's stores and their Holiday and Little Dukes stations.

Consumers do not need to register to attend this event.

2022 CMBA Spring Tour of Homes Coming Up

(KNSI) — The Central Minnesota Builders Association is busy getting ready for the 2022 spring tour of homes. This year’s tour is March 18th – 20th and March 25th – 27th. Homebuilders will feature 14 homes on this spring’s tour. CMBA Director Dave Werschay of Werschay Homes says the tour is an excellent opportunity to start a relationship with a builder. “When you’re building a home, it’s a relationship; it’s a process. You want to meet the builder, you want to see if you’re gonna get along with this person that you’re gonna hang out with for months maybe longer. Yeah, it’s important.”

The homes are scattered throughout Avon, Cold Spring, St. Augusta, St. Cloud, Sartell, and Sauk Rapids. Eleven different builders built the houses, and Werschay expects no two homes to be alike.
