We planned a trip to Greece with friends. I was feeling overwhelmed by the task of hotels, getting to multiple islands, and activities. A friend told us about Zicasso and the service they provided. After listening to trip ideas from two travel agencies, we picked this travel company because our agent listened to our thoughts and stayed within our budget, creating the ideal experiences for us. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we never had to think about anything. All was organized for us, including all transfers, hotels, check-in to ferries, with vouchers sent electronically, and private and small group tours. Recommendations were made regarding restaurants/taverns. If reservations were needed, they sent us a link or handled it for us. We even changed the time of a transfer and moved up a tour with just a text to the team. All we had to do was discover and enjoy the beauty of Greece. I would highly recommend this travel company for planning a Greek adventure.

I found Zicasso on an internet search for senior travel. After contacting the company regarding their proposed two-week tour of Switzerland and Austria, I received proposals from two companies within a couple of days. While the companies' proposals varied from the advertised one, I found our travel agent was the most responsive. Through an email survey, phone calls, and Zoom, he assisted me in planning a trip that met our interests, needs, and budget. Surprisingly, Zicasso was able to save us money on our air flights as well. Our agent fulfilled his offer to contact us daily via text to ensure each step of our trip went smoothly. Even with the eight-hour time difference, he was available by phone when we landed and had difficulty locating our driver. Through a flurry of texts, the driver was located and we connected. When reserved seats on the train were required due to heavy holiday volume, he made the arrangements. The accommodations were wonderful. Obviously, a lot of knowledgeable thought and care went into the planning. From recommendations of places not to miss to restaurant recommendations, he made it so. We were guided, but still had lots of free time and flexibility, and mainly private tours. We will plan our trips this way in the future – our agent’s excellent service and personal attention made this trip a total success.

Our trip worked very well for us. We have never used a driver before, but were really glad to have ours for the islands and Highlands. It made for a much more relaxing trip. For us, it was a good mix – traveling around Scotland, especially on the islands and in the Highlands, takes time, and we did as much as we could given how much time we had to travel. We could have used another day in Edinburgh since this was really the only "city" on the trip, but I wouldn't have wanted to give up any of our hiking days.

This was a perfect mother-daughter trip at the right time of year to avoid crowds. All of our drivers and tour guides were awesome! The accommodations were likewise wonderful. Communication with our tour company was great and any last-minute changes were taken care of, so we had no worries. We had nearly daily contact from the company, whose staff checked in with us before and during our trip. Our itinerary had a good balance of planned activities and free time, with lots of good suggestions from our tour guides. Zicasso's travel partner did an amazing job putting together our itinerary and handling all the logistics. We did an intro call to discuss what we were interested in, how we like to travel, dietary constraints, etc. They did a great job synthesizing that and coming up with a pitch-perfect plan of sites, hotels, restaurants, and means of transportation. On the trip itself, everyone involved was professional, punctual, and fun. This was the first trip I have taken where I didn't have to worry about getting from point A to B, finding good places to eat, researching the best sites, and how everything would fit together. Additionally, the travel team was very thoughtful in how everything would fit into the available daylight hours, how we'd be feeling with jet lag, and how to navigate a holiday where many things would be closed. We did enjoy our first tour vacation and were consider booking another tour next year. Joining in an organized tour saves a lot of the planning work for hotel and rental car booking, map search and travel/tour readings. The tour was fast paced and a lots of miles were traveled on the bus. It is a good choice if you want to see a lot of countries quickly and avoid getting yourselves too exhausted by the end of the day. Our tour guide Firo is knowledgeable and bus driver Gabi is amazing professional, everyone loves Gabi. We were disappointed in hotel room assignment at Switzerland mountain when we couldn’t see beautiful mountain from our street-view room. We became angry the next morning when my wife found that all of street-view rooms were assigned to non-caucasian people. We were deeply hurt by the incident and the remaining of the tour became not as enjoyable. We don’t want to hear any explanation and just set the responsibility of this discrimination fact on our tour guide and Expat Explore.

While this was a very fast paced tour with lots of driving every day, there were so many sightseeing experiences that we enjoyed ourselves so much. Long tiring days are to be expected travelling through Europe on this type of tour. But being at the major tourist cities was excellent and life-changing especially for my friend who had never been to Europe before. Our tour driver Gabriel from Romania was excellent and he certainly proved himself with his expertise and care he showed for all of us. Our tour leader Firo from Portugal was very busy looking after us all and making sure plans were followed and were timely. He managed us all excellently. Nice trip. We had a good guide ( Bijo) and excellent local guides too. The hotels were excellent and the program was enough to know a little bit of the Baltic Republics. We took a couple of days in Warsaw by our own in order to visit a couple of museums , because in a country where there is such a lot of information , a one day visit is not enough.

The tour was good, however felt a bit rushed on some days. For example we reached Tours at night and then left early next day. Didn't have much time to explore the city. Versailles could be taken away as according to the itinerary there is not enough time to get inside the palace so no real point in going there. If Versailles was not included hen there would be enough time for Tours. The hotels were all good, especially the first and the last one! That must be strategic by the tour company.🤔Among the tour guides, the Paris and Barcelona city tour guides were great. It would be good to let people know in advance to buy tickets for various attractions those that are not included. As an example the Familia Sangrada and Montserrat basilica. If people know they have free time during the day they can plan to visit others sites that are not included in the tour. The guide for the Familia Sangrada was excellent. Overall the tour was good.

The Edinburgh to London tour was great! It was an amazing experience. The Globus representatives in Edinburgh and London were very helpful and nice.

Had to call Globus three times before trip to get the final travel packet. Each time I called ,was told that someone would take care of this. Bus driver Glenn and tour guide Clive were great. Mic on bus kept cutting out and the people in the back of the bus could not hear. Would have like to have spent a day in Belfast and seen the Titanic museum ,All that Belfast was just a bathroom break and all I saw of Belfast was the washroom inside City Hall. If we had spent a day in Belfast I, wouldn't been so tried by the time we got to Scotland. Also would have like to have another in York. When we returned to London, somewhere from the time the bus arrived at the hotel till they unloaded the bags and put them on the luggage cart and bought them to the room, the porter broke my bag and the wheel came off. When I reported this to the hotel was told " these things happen", too bad, so sad " have your insurance company buy you a new bag". I had to try to get back home with a big with three wheel.

Great tour. Covered a huge amount of the Balkans in a short space of time. This means a lot of driving to get from one place to another but if you are short of time this tour is perfect for seeing the highlights. One downside was the use of an electric car, which although was a noble attempt to be environmentally friendly, led to us having to stop a couple of times to charge. The places visited were very good. Our guide, Amarlido, was excellent - knowledgeable, good chat, and had great recommendations for things to see and places to eat. I had never prayed with a tour leader in a mosque before and this was an amazing experience for us! Overall, I would definitely recommend this tour group and itinerary.

This is a great tour to see and get to know Türkiye. The itinerary and the activities are designed well to allow us to taste good varieties. Fez Travel delivered and made it possible for us to experience a lot of Türkiye in the short two weeks. I am glad I chose Fez to see Türkiye with and it's definitely worth the time and money. I do recommend staying extra days in Istanbul after the tour as the city is easy and safe to get around and wonder around on your own. Global travel is back and buzzing. The amount of travel fell by 75 percent in 2020; however, travel is on its way to a full recovery by the end of 2024. More regional trips, an emerging population of new travelers, and a fresh set of destinations are powering steady spending in tourism.

There’s no doubt that people still love to travel and will continue to seek new experiences in new places. But where will travelers come from, and where will they go?

We share a snapshot of current traveler flows, along with estimates for growth through 2030.

The way we travel now

Which trends are shaping traveler sentiment now? What sorts of journeys do today’s travelers dream about? How much are they willing to spend on their trips? And what should industry stakeholders do to adapt to the traveler psychology of the moment?

To gauge what’s on the minds of present-day travelers, we surveyed more than 5,000 of them. The findings reveal disparate desires, generational divides, and a newly emerging set of traveler archetypes.

Updating perceptions about today’s luxury traveler

Demand for luxury tourism and hospitality is expected to grow faster than for any other segment. This growth is being powered in part by a large and expanding base of aspiring luxury travelers with net worths between $100,000 and $1 million, many of whom are younger and increasingly willing to spend larger shares of their wealth on upscale travel options. The increase is also a result of rising wealth levels in Asia.

We dug deeper into this ongoing evolution by surveying luxury travelers around the globe about their preferences, plans, and expectations. Some widely held notions about luxury travelers—such as how much money they have, how old they are, and where they come from—could be due for reexamination.

Destination readiness: Preparing for the tourist flows of tomorrow

As global tourism grows, it will be crucial for destinations to be ready. How can the tourism ecosystem prepare to host unprecedented volumes of visitors while managing the challenges that can accompany this success? A large flow of tourists, if not carefully channeled, can encumber infrastructure, harm natural and cultural attractions, and frustrate locals and visitors alike.

Now is the time for tourism stakeholders to combine their thinking and resources to look for better ways to handle the visitor flows of today while properly preparing themselves for the visitor flows of tomorrow. Children traveling to the U.S.

All children, including infants, must have their own travel documents such as a passport or document from a Trusted Traveler Program to enter the U.S. If you travel or are going to travel with a child, consider taking the following documents:

• If the child is traveling with only one of their custodial parents, they must have a letter of consent, preferably in English and notarized, from the other parent or signed by both parents. The letter should say "I acknowledge that my son/daughter is traveling outside the country with [the name of the adult] with my permission."
• If one parent has sole custody of the child, a copy of the custody document can take the place of the other parent's letter.
• Parents who frequently cross the border by land with a minor must always carry a letter of permission from the other parent.

U.S. citizen children traveling abroad

Ports of entry in many countries have security measures to prevent international child abduction . If you are traveling alone with your child, you may be required to present documentation proving you are the parent or legal guardian. You may also need a letter of permission from the other parent for your child to travel. 

If your child travels alone, depending on the country, they may be required to present a notarized letter from both parents or their legal guardian. If a minor is traveling abroad and is not accompanied by both parents or a legal guardian, contact the embassy or consulate of the country you will be visiting and ask about entry and exit requirements for that country.
