Is Kanye West Going On A World Tour In 2024?

With Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign hosting a listing for their upcoming joint album Vultures , fans have begun speculating about whether or not the album will be accompanied by a tour. Ever since Kanye’s antisemitism scandal , he hasn’t exactly had potential sponsors leaping at the chance to work with him (especially with the contemporary political climate). But that hasn’t stopped a variety of profiles on Twitter (which still says “Twitter” in the URL so shoo with all that “X” talk) from posting screenshots of a purported “merch site” listing concert tickets for a Vultures World Tour .

The site has supposedly been deactivated, but at this point, premature announcements and half-baked ideas are par for the course for Kanye, who gave a quarter-hearted attempt at running for president in 2020, slapped together the last few rus of his YZY Supply fashion line, was apparently a terrible business partner at Adidas, rarely showing up for meetings and playing porn for other attendees if he ever did show up, and announcing a “ worldwide listening event ” for Vultures , only to scale it down to a “ rave ” in Miami when he finally realized that no venues at the scale he envisioned want to work with him anymore. Because, again, he’s said some truly wild stuff — like “praising Hitler” wild — in his efforts to be an “edgy” artiste. Welcome to the edge, I guess.

If you’re one of those people who is only too happy to get scammed by Ye — again — in the interest of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy nostalgia, keep an eye out. I’m sure there are still some backyards or skinhead rallies or something he can book.

Kanye West has shared the potential cities he’ll visit as part of his ‘Vultures’ world tour with Ty Dolla $ign .

The first volume of the two rappers’ long-delayed collaborative project is due to arrive this Friday (February 9) ahead of two further instalments on March 8 and April 5, respectively.

Taking to Instagram Stories last night (February 6), West shared a screenshot of a text message exchange that revealed a possible tour schedule. The list included arena dates in Toronto, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and other locations throughout this summer.

Additionally, the work-in-progress itinerary featured huge gigs in Spain and Egypt ahead of four consecutive nights at The O2 in London this September. Further performances were listed for Dubai, Nairobi and Lagos.

The document concluded with dates in Sydney, Melbourne and Tokyo – all of which were slated for early 2025.

Later, Ye posted a screenshot that showed he would be looking into some “iconic international venue options” such as the Corcovado mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (home of the Christ the Redeemer statue), the Great Wall Of China, and the Pyramids Of Giza.

Another upload contained email correspondence from someone expressing interest in “discussing shows” that could be staged in “sports arenas and stadiums”. Check out the screenshot below.

A recent ‘Vultures’ trailer , directed by Jon Rafman, included eerie clips stitched together of fire and destruction, cult-like figures and ominous animals. The dramatic clip was soundtracked by a reworked version of West’s previously released title track .

Ye and Ty Dolla $ign had been teasing their collaborative record for some months, after news first circulated in August 2023 that West would be releasing new music “imminently” .

After numerous delays to the project, reports suggested that the LP would be dropping sometime at the end of January 2024 , before it was postponed further.

Last December saw the two rappers preview various tracks from ‘Vultures’ at a listening party in Miami, Florida . West and Ty Dolla $ign’s ‘Vultures’ rave in Las Vegas, Nevada was subsequently shut down by the authorities .

In other news, footage recently emerged of Kanye West snatching a photographer’s phone after she asked him if he was “controlling” his wife Biana Censori.

Kanye West Reunites With Former Manager For World Tour Amid Troubles With Major Promoters

Kanye West is back with his former manager, who the Chicago native is currently working with to put together an international tour.

On Monday (March 11), Billboard confirmed that John Monopoly is back in the fold  after his split from Ye more than a decade ago. He was previously a major part of the rapper and producer’s early career, discovering him in the ’90s and working as his manager for many years alongside Gee Roberson and Kyambo “Hip Hop” Joshua.

According to the publication, he had slowly started making his way back into the camp over the last few years, and his re-entry but was officially confirmed over the weekend as Kanye “showered John with praise and recalled their history” during his stop in Los Angeles for a Vultures listening events with Ty Dolla $ign .

The pair are reportedly working on a world tour that will feature “full production and performances” unlike the listening events Ye and Ty have been hosting.

As previously reported, Kanye has been running into issues as he plots a concert series for his latest music.

According to  HITS Daily Double , the duo have been leveraging the success of the listening experiences (which has had stops in Chicago, New York, Paris, Milan and more) to try and convince major players like AEG and Live Nation that a tour would be a runaway success, though both companies have reportedly turned down the offer given the Yeezy boss’ history of antisemitism .

If said world tour does indeed come to fruition, it will be Kanye West’s first trek since the Saint Pablo Tour in 2016.

In other news, Ye and Kim Kardashian’s daughter North West has announced her debut album , with a title that’s inspired by her dad’s breakthrough project.

At the Vultures 2 listening event in Phoenix last week, she stood next to her father at the center of the stage as she told the crowd about her plan.

“I’ve been working on an album and it is called Elementary School Dropout ,” the 10-year-old said to a roar from the crowd.

The name is, of course, a nod to Kanye’s 2004 landmark debut, The College Dropout .

The reveal came shortly after North made her music debut the  Vultures 1 cut  “Talking.” The track peaked at No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100, making her one of the youngest ever artists to appear on the tally .

Booking agent Cara Lewis is once again representing Kanye West , working to revive his prosperous touring career that she architected in the 2000s and 2010s before he meticulously destroyed it after firing her in 2016.

Kanye West’s First Independent Album Grossed Over $1M in Its First Week

“He’s still on his bulls—, which means he is still in self-destruct mode and can’t work,” said one prominent booking agent who spoke on the condition of anonymity but said their agency was approached about representing West and passed. “I don’t take anything he says at face value. He needs to go away for at least a year and get sober.”

Lewis did not respond to a request for comment.

“There’s not really any upside for Cara,” says another booking agent who was also pitched on representing West. “She’s going to spend most of her time being told ‘no’ by promoters who have been burned by Kanye in the past. And any gigs she does land for him are going to be nightmares to get through.”

West has recently posted on social media about his booking challenges. On Feb 6, he took to Instagram to complain about the lack of interest from major arenas in hosting a listening party for his new album.

How Back Is Kanye West After the Billboard 200-Topping Debut of ‘Vultures 1’?

West made the video shortly after the O2 Arena in London rejected a similar request. He followed up that video by asking followers to contact Lewis for booking opportunities, showing a text message Lewis had sent to West expressing confidence about his future prospects. The post showing the text message was later deleted by West.

Kanye first began working with Lewis in 2006 when she was at the William Morris Agency, which became William Morris Endeavor (WME) in 2009. In 2012, Lewis quit WME to join CAA, bringing with her high-profile clients like Eminem, Ne-Yo, T.I. and West. Together, West and Lewis developed a touring strategy that generated $160 million in ticket sales, including his Watch the Throne Tour with Jay-Z, which generated $75 million in sales and was the highest-grossing tour ever when it wrapped, according to Billboard Boxscore.

Had West not stopped touring in 2016, he could have easily generated hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue from concerts and festivals in the years since. Even without any regular income from touring for the last seven years, West still ranks as the fifth highest-grossing hip-hop act in Billboard Boxscore history.

But instead of building upon their success, West fired Lewis and CAA and signed with UTA in March 2016. The Wrap reported at the time that West left CAA to expand his acting portfolio following the success of his cameo in Zoolander 2 .

West returned to CAA a year later, but by then Lewis was already gone, working to launch her own boutique agency after she and CAA parted ways in November 2016.

The Paris incident also led him to cancel two dates on his Saint Pablo Tour, ultimately returning to the road five days later on Oct. 7 to perform a show at the United Center. Fans noticed that West had seemed withdrawn and erratic on the tour, which eventually ended 20 dates early in Sacramento on Nov. 19, 2016, when West performed three songs before launching into a tirade about Facebook, Jay-Z, Hillary Clinton and Beyoncé before walking offstage. West was hospitalized two days later following a welfare check conducted by the LAPD.

An investigation by insurance company Lloyds of London, which West had hired to insure the tour, alleged that he was abusing alcohol and marijuana on the tour. The two parties eventually settled the dispute, court documents show.

In 2022, West was sued by Phantom Labs, a company he hired to help produce the Free Larry Hoover benefit concert with rapper Drake in December 2021. Six months after the concert, Phantom Labs sued West, saying it was owed “$7 million by Kanye in outstanding fees for work on various projects over the past year,” including the Free Larry Hoover concert and his 2022 appearance at Coachella, which Kanye canceled days before he was to take the stage.

When Will Kanye West Release ‘Vultures’?

Last month, Kanye West began teasing his upcoming album, Vultures , the artist’s first release since a string of controversies in which the Grammy-winning musician aligned himself with far-right ideologues and was booted from Twitter (now called X) after declaring that he intended to go “death con 3 ON JEWISH PEOPLE.”

Kanye spent much of 2023 out of the public eye, reportedly recording the album in various locations alongside collaborator Ty Dolla $ign . In addition to Ty, Vultures reportedly includes features from Lil Baby, Bad Bunny, Nicki Minaj , James Blake, Kodak Black, and Freddie Gibbs. The album also has a verse from Ye’s daughter North West.

Ye premiered the album at a party in Miami during Art Basel in December; he also launched a mobile-only platform called Yews, a portmanteau of Yeezy and News, which he reportedly applied to have trademarked in October.

Ye used his newly launched Yews platform to announce that disgraced fashion designer Gosha Rubchinsky had been named the creative director of Kanye’s fashion brand Yeezy. In 2018, screenshots of Rubchinsky appearing to ask a 16-year-old boy for illicit photos via Instagram DMs surfaced online. Rubchinsky released a statement at the time saying the screenshots had been “altered and taken out of context.”

After months of teasers and false starts, it’s still unclear when, if at all, Vultures will be released. As of now, a rep for Ye confirmed a new release date of Feb. 9 to Billboard . Here’s everything we know so far.

The Vultures album cover shared by Kanye features art from the German Romantic landscape painter Caspar David Friedrich, whose work was embraced by Nazis in the 20th century. Additionally, the cover’s typography appears to reference the Norwegian Black Metal project Burzum, helmed by convicted murderer and notorious Nazi sympathizer Varg Vikernes.

Just ahead of Christmas, a representative for Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign told Revolt that the album would be released on Jan. 12, 2024. Fans have speculated that the delays were caused by clearance issues for verses like the one from Minaj, which was reportedly several years old, as well as over an interpolation of the Backstreet Boys single “Everybody,” which appears on a song that Ye has been previewing on social media. As the Jan. 12 release date neared, a rep for the two artists confirmed to Forbes that it had again been pushed back. Weeks later, Ye’s team confirmed a new release date of Feb. 9 .

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s Daughter North West to Sing ‘I Just Can’t Wait to Be King’ at ‘Lion King’ Concert (EXCLUSIVE)

Move over, Kanye West.

The rapper and Kim Kardashian’s daughter North West will make her Hollywood Bowl singing debut Friday at the first of the two-night “The Lion King” concert event . She will perform “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King.”

As previously reported , West will join “Lion King” veterans Nathan Lane, Billy Eichner, Jeremy Irons, Ernie Sabella, Heather Headley, Lebo M and Jason Weaver as well as EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson.

The shows will be filmed for later broadcast as “ The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl” on Disney+.

Since the 1994 debut of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Oscar-winning original global phenomenon, the story of “The Lion King” has dazzled audiences around the world, including with the record-breaking, Tony Award-winning stage musical (1998), the 2019 live-action box office blockbuster, animated series and sequels, as well as long-running successful shows in the Disney Parks. “Mufasa: The Lion King,” directed by Barry Jenkins, will be in theaters this December 2024.

Variety spoke to Eichner on Wednesday just after the first rehearsal for the Hollywood Bowl event . “All of the producers have flown over from London,” he said. “We’re all finally in person together with the orchestra and the conductor and choreographer Jamal Sims and so many dancers — so many dancers! I feel like I’m on Madonna’s Blond Ambition tour.”

Fans All Have One Question For Kanye West After Releasing His New Album 'Ye'

Hear ye, hear ye, I come bearing some pretty awesome news: Kanye West's highly anticipated new album, Ye , was released after West live-streamed the whole thing during a listening party on the WAV app at midnight on Friday, June 1, in Jackson Hole Wyoming. Apparently, some hand-picked celebs were there alongside Mr. West as he unveiled his new music, and I honestly could not be more jealous. After hearing all of his new music, many fans are wondering: Will Kanye West tour in 2018? While we don't know anything concrete, we're hoping that we hear something from the rapper soon.

The album features seven tracks that address a ton of things going on in Kanye West's personal life . According to People , West "addressed everything from his mental health and drug addiction to Tristan Thompson‘s cheating rumors and wife Kim Kardashian West‘s reaction to his infamous declaration that slavery was a choice." He even calls out popular figures like Stormy Daniels, Kris Jenner's boyfriend Corey Gamble, and Russell Simmons.

According to the site, West also notes his personal difficulties with drug addiction and his mental health, and in his song, "Yikes," West confirms that he is bipolar, penning the lyrics:

That's my bipolar sh*t, n**** what? That's my superpower, n**** ain't no disability, I'm a superhero! I'm a superhero!

Whether you're totally feeling all of these new intense songs from Yeezy or not, we all know at least one thing:

Because nobody loves Kanye more than Kanye.

West's last album, Saint Pablo, was released on February 14, 2016, and West's Saint Pablo Tour began on August 25, 2016. That means if West was going to start a touring pattern, we might expect to see him on tour as early as December 2018. But again, neither West's team or Yeezy himself have announced any tour dates (or if there will be a tour at all), so we can't put too much stock in that theory.

But after his Saint Pablo Tour was cut short , perhaps West will come back bigger and better than ever with a tour for this new album.

Considering West has held nothing back with his new music, I have a feeling we're going to be hearing a TON of controversial opinions about all of the tracks on Ye . I mean, leisurely name-dropping someone in your songs is expected, but calling out the father of your sister-in-law's daughter *might* have people thinking that West took things a bit too far.

On the track "All Mine," Yeezy sings:

Of course, West is talking about the reported cheating scandal that Tristan Thompson was involved in during Khloé Kardashian's pregnancy. The Daily Mail and TMZ released videos on April 10 reportedly showing Thompson kissing another woman and footage of Thompson seemingly hanging out with multiple women while getting too close for comfort. Elite Daily reached out to Kardashian and Thompson's teams for comment on the cheating reports at the time, but did not hear back by the time of publication.

Oh, and remember when I said that a handful of famous faces were chosen to come and listen to the new album with West? According to People , those names include the likes of Pusha T, Jonah Hill, and Big Sean. Comedian Chris Rock was even there to introduce the rapper. The site reports that Rock announced the album as well, saying, "Welcome to the world premiere of the latest opus from the one and only Kanye West entitled Ye. .. Listen without prejudice."

If this album is making you hungry for even more music from 'Ye, just remember that he and Kid Cudi reportedly have a collaboration coming out on June 8 called Kids See Ghost . So hang tight, everybody. More Kanye is on the way.

While discussing the project, West announced some possible tour dates, which include stops in Spain.

West teased his upcoming world tour on his Instagram stories, revealing some of the possible tour dates and locations. He shared a screenshot containing some text messages and an Excel sheet that outlined some tour dates and locations, including dates in arenas locateed in New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, and Chicago. It also featured dates in Egypt, London, Dubai, and Madrid. The stops in Madrid were scheduled for August 17th and 18th, at the Madrid Arena.

North West’s debut in “Vultures” marks her first time performing. She’s featured in “Talking/Once Again,” where she sings some verses and appears in the music video with her hair getting braided. At one point she’s recorded sitting on her dad’s shoulders and saying something in his ear.

“Vulture” will is a record that is scheduled to drop in three parts. These dates were initially listed as February 9th, March 8th, and April 5th.

Ye’s YouTube Seemingly Hacked as Slew of Tracks Surface on Official Channel

Earlier this year, Ye and Ty Dolla Sign's Apple Music artist bio was also seemingly hacked.

Something presumably unsanctioned is afoot over on Ye 's YouTube .

As eagle-eyed fans are already aware, Ye’s official YouTube channel , which still carries his former name Kanye West , has uploaded a slew of tracks over the past 24 hours or so. Expectedly, this has caused some confusion for casual listeners, although it’s certainly worth pointing out that the uploads in question have (thus far, at least) strictly been relegated to YouTube.

More informed longtime fans, however, will recognize most of these uploads, if not all of them. Titles for the string of the likely hack-enabled uploads include "Super Starred," "Dem Guys," "06 Beat 06," "All I Need," "Fight With the Best," and "Mind Your Business," among others.

Fans have traced some of these uploads back to Ye’s beats catalog from the late 1990s. Others, like "Dem Guys" and "Mind Your Business" for example, are actually just songs from a Go Getters compilation initially rolled out prior to the turn of the millennium. For those unfamiliar, the Go Getters were a Chicago-based group in the '90s that also featured GLC .

"Super Starred," however, stands apart and is the same previously hyped leak also known as "Floating." Though nothing has been formally confirmed, of course, this particular leak is widely assumed to stem from Ye-led sessions in 2018, the same year the 24-time Grammy winner released his Ye album and helmed production for projects from Pusha T, Nas, Teyana Taylor, and his and Cudi's joint Kids See Ghosts release.

Back in February, Ye and Ty Dolla Sign ’s ¥$ artist bio on Apple Music was the target of an apparent hack that perplexingly resulted in a mention of Anthony Fantano . The YouTube music critic, notably, previously called the duo’s Vultures album "completely unreviewable trash." Though initially announced as the first entry in a trilogy, Vultures currently stands as the only project released by the duo.

Ye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy , meanwhile, remains universally acclaimed. Just last month, the 2010 release landed among Apple Music's selections for its 100 Best Albums coverage.

Martin lawrence shoots down health problem rumors ahead of 'bad boys' premiere, martin lawrence addresses health scare rumors ... i'm fine y'all, go see new 'bad boys'.

Martin Lawrence is speaking out after the internet was convinced his health was failing amid the 'Bad Boys' press run ... and he says he's doing just fine.

The 59-year-old comedian addressed the rumors on Tuesday as he and Will Smith sat with Hot 97's "Ebro in the Morning" team -- this after the Twitter-sphere went into a frenzy after seeing a recent clip of Will seemingly assisting a somewhat frail-looking Martin on top of a bus.

Ebro gave Martin the floor, asking him if he wanted to clear anything up -- specifically asking him if his health was alright in light of all the chatter. Martin didn't hesitate to clarify here.

He says ... "I am fine. I am in God’s hands. I am blessed. I am glad to be waking up every day and everything. No need for people to be concerned. I am healthy as hell. Stop the rumors.”

Again, these rumors didn't come from thin air ... during the L.A. 'BB4' premiere, Will clearly leads Martin by hand as they walk along the megabus they were riding in, and Martin's movements were noticeably sluggish.

Of course, his appearance at the Emmys also comes to mind ... when he drew concern there too. At the time, we'd been assured he was in good health .

Despite Martin's reassurance, some fans weren't fully convinced by the explanation on Hot 97 ... but still vowed to support him nonetheless.

At this point, if the guy's saying he's good ... ya gotta take his word for it -- but with the internet being what it is, it's conspiracy theories galore.

Anyway ... "Bad Boys: Ride or Die" is in theaters this week and he's still planning on his "Y'all Know What It Is!" tour , which starts in July.
