Bring Me the Horizon Announce 2014 Headlining North American Tour With Of Mice & Men

For the first time since 2011, UK metalcore favorites Bring Me the Horizon  will be headlining a North American tour. The band will be out in support of their critically acclaimed  latest album 'Sempiternal,' and will be joined on 'The American Dream Tour' by  Of Mice & Men . The trek begins in February of 2014 (check out an announcement video above).

While fans were able to catch Bring Me the Horizon on the Vans Warped Tour over the summer, they will get the full live experience early next year. 'Sempiternal' is an extension of the band's beginning with new elements thrown into the mix as they display their evolution as musicians and songwriters. Diversifying their sound to include a host of influences is sure to have expanded their fanbase since they last headlined a North American tour, BMTH are sure to put on an amazing show for both the fans and the band.

American metalcore outfit Of Mice & Men will be playing in direct support of Bring Me the Horizon. The band recently wrapped up recording their third album, which will follow 2011's 'The Flood.'

Tickets for 'The American Dream Tour' go on sale Nov. 22 and more information can be found at Bring Me the Horizon's official website .

this show was super super good! i didn’t have GA and bought practically the last row of seats, but one of security guards gave me and my girlfriend tickets for seats that were 19 rows closer, the energy was amazing and everyone was super nice! i could see so much from the new seats and was super happy!!! the pits were cool, a little sad more towards the end, but funny to watch people were narato running through them and were acting like airplanes running through them and whenever someone fell the other people picked them right up and they kept going, really fun to watch!!!!! oli came into the crown during drown and not just through the floor but through the stands too and i was super close to him!!!!! plus the person who came up on stage to sing antivist knew all the lyrics and had super good energy and was ready to keep the crowd hyped and people were still dancing and moshing while he was singing!

This show ranks among the most disappointing of my life.

That's not to say that the music itself was anything less than phenomenal, but there were so many on-stage distractions that they actually took away from the performance.

THEY HAD BACKUP DANCERS, Y'ALL!!!! And, I'm not taking Destiny's Child caliber dancers. Ohh no. Imagine, if you would, please a forth-grade single-day cheer camp. Yep :-/ That's not an exaggeration. The dancers were horrific to the point of insulting.

Should I be able to stop there, it might have been redeemable.

Sadly, I cannot.

The stage is backed by video monitors, and upon said screens plays this stream-of-consciousness screensaver. It felt rather like those daydreams one wakes from with a start.

They. Were. Awful.

In order to enjoy the music, I had to close my eyes, because there was so much distracting from it.

VERY DISAPPOINTING.

The show last night was beyond words.. Whenever BMTH comes to town here in Denver they always bring their A game with them!! I highly recommend seeing this band if they ever are in your state because they know how to put on a hell of a show!!! My favorite part of the show had to be when they ended up playing an encore as the crowd was chanting "we will never sleep cause sleepings for the weak no we will never rest until we are all f***ing dead" I don't think they could let a crowd down that was that energetic and responsive torwds the band, surely the band didn't dissapoint us at all and came back out from back stage to win all our hearts and finished the show off with thrones. BMTH also had suprised everyone in the audience with giant confetti flying in the air everywhere as the song climaxed to the final chorus. What a show for the books and i had no idea that so many people would attend the show lastnight. This was my second time seeing them play live, I didn't really care much for the opening bands thou.. I miss the days when parkway drive would open up for them back at the summit music hall.

Guitarist Lee Malia to miss Bring Me The Horizon’s Australian tour

Kicking off in Melbourne today (April 10), Bring Me The Horizon have announced that their current Australia tour will be without guitarist Lee Malia as he is “taking some time out with the new addition to his family”.

Guitarist Lee Malia to miss Bring Me The Horizon’s Australian tour

Bring Me The Horizon have just announced that they’ll be without Lee Malia for their Australian headline tour this month.

The band’s epic run down under – with Sleep Token , Make Them Suffer and daine – kicks off at Melbourne’s John Cain Arena today (April 10), and they have just revealed ahead of the first show that their guitarist will be absent… but for a very lovely reason!

“Lee is unable to join us for NeX GEn down under shows,” BMTH say. “He will be back for future dates, but is taking some time out with the new addition to his family for this run.”

The band will be in Australia for the next nearly two weeks; after Melbourne they’ll head to Sydney for two shows at the Qudos Bank Arena, a date at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, another at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, and finally a couple of gigs at Brisbane’s Riverstage, wrapping up on April 21.

Bring Me The Horizon tease their new album: “It’s time for a new era”

It looks like the Sheffield band are gearing up to release 'POST HUMAN: NeX GEn' very soon

Bring Me The Horizon's Oli Sykes

Bring Me The Horizon have begun teasing their next album, ‘ POST HUMAN: NeX GEn ’ – find out all details below.

  • READ MORE: Bring Me The Horizon on love for Fontaines D.C. and when fans can expect the new album

The Sheffield band have posted a tantalising clip on their socials today (April 10), confirming that “it’s time for a new era”. From the hints they’ve given us, it looks like Bring Me The Horizon is teasing ‘POST HUMAN: NeX GEn’, which has been delayed since last August.

In the futuristic video, a robot utters the speech: “You cling to your virtual identity as if it were your very soul. Pathetic. I’m here to wipe away the detritus of your existence. All these thoughts, these memories, they are but a fleeting echo in an endless void. And just like that, you cease to exist in a digital realm. A mere blip erased from the annals of cyberspace. Farewell insignificant content.”

The video ends with the sentence: “It’s time for a new era. Initialising NeX GEn.”

At the end of the clip, viewers can also read a small paragraph with the words: “THE CHURCH OF GENXSIS welcomes you to a night at YOUTOPIA via NeX GEn. There is a home beyond our bones. P.H. II ??/??/2024.”

Frontman Oli Sykes first announced news of the album during their headlining Download set back in June. It will serve as the follow-up to 2020’s ‘ POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR ’.

The band then revealed the record was delayed the next month in a social media post, citing “unforeseen circumstances” leaving the band “unable to complete the record to the standard we’d be happy with”.

Sykes further spoke about the record in a chat with  NME  last June, calling it “unhinged”: “I wouldn’t say it’s a hyper-pop album, but I’ve definitely been inspired by that world. I admire how obnoxious, trashy and in your face that music feels, which is what I was drawn to when I got into emo, hardcore and screamo.

“It’s not that we’ve lost that in our music, but as you become a bigger band, things do get more polished. I want to go the opposite way. Let’s be unhinged, let’s stop trying to make all the edges smooth.”

The vocalist provided a further update to us this January when we saw them at the BRITs , with Sykes telling us: “It’s nearly finished, but it’s not finished”.

“Every time we think we’ve got it, we get another song,” he added. “It’s going to be right good though, it’s our best album ever… Worth the wait.”

So far, the band have previewed the latest single from the album ‘Kool-Aid’ this January, with  ‘DArkSide’ ,  ‘LosT’ ,  ‘AmEN!’ ,  ‘DiE4u’  and  ‘sTraNgeRs’ also speculated to appear on the upcoming album.

It will also be their first album without longtime member Jordan Fish, who announced his sudden departure at the end of December 2023. Fish was part of the band since 2012.

In a statement, the band said of his leave: “Bring Me The Horizon has decided to part ways with Jordan Fish. We want to thank him for the musical journey he took with us and wish him luck with everything in the future.”

Bring Me The Horizon Australian Tour Setlist Revealed

Last night’s show was Bring Me The Horizon's first performance in Australia since headlining Good Things Festival in December 2022.

More Bring Me The Horizon

Bring Me The Horizon kicked off their Australian tour at Melbourne’s John Cain Arena last night (10 April), with the setlist covering their most recent releases as well as one big surprise.

From their early days as a deathcore band to a rock group embracing elements of EDM and hip-hop, it’s fair to say that Bring Me The Horizon’s music covers a lot of ground and draws a lot of different fans to their shows.

Last night’s show was their first performance in Australia since headlining Good Things Festival in December 2022. In a review of their set at the Brisbane leg of the festival, The Music ’s Tim Price declared: “If you can find a band that has THAT MANY SINGLES and bangers from a catalogue that they only drew on the last eight years (!!!), then I will be STUNNED.”

If you don’t like being spoiled ahead of a band’s show, look away now because we’re about to delve into last night’s setlist.

As mentioned above, Bring Me The Horizon brought out a huge surprise: Diamonds Aren’t Forever from Suicide Season . The one “old” song—unless 2013’s Sempiternal is now old enough—the ultra heavy track stood out amongst songs from the delayed release, POST HUMAN: NeX Gen , its sister record POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR, That’s The Spirit and amo .

Check out the 19-song setlist (via setlist.fm ) below.

Bring Me The Horizon’s Australian tour continues tomorrow at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena (12 and 14 April), followed by a gig at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre (17 April) before the band returns to Melbourne—this time, at Rod Laver Arena (18 April). The tour wraps up with  two shows  at Brisbane’s Riverstage (20 and 21 April). You can find last-minute tickets via  Destroy All Lines .

We’d recommend getting in early, as the shows sport an absolutely stacked line-up of heavy music fans' dreams. The much-hyped  Sleep Token , Aussie metalcore legends  Make Them Suffer , and emo, hardcore, pop, and trap music artist  Daine are on board as special guests.

Bring Me The Horizon are touring in support of their upcoming eighth album,  POST HUMAN: NeX GEn , which is  slated to arrive  in the coming months. It was initially locked in for release last September but has been  postponed indefinitely .

If you have some spare time around the tour dates, check out the band’s newly announced exclusive merch pop-up stores .

Sleep Token are still touring to promote their third album, Take Me Back To Eden , which was released in May 2023 by Spinefarm.

The band have since inked a deal with major record label RCA .

Metal Hammer gave Take Me Back To Eden a glowing 8/10 review upon release.

Journalist Dannii Leivers wrote: “Combining feeling and sound in a potent, masterful statement, ...Eden is Sleep Token’s strongest effort to date.

“And, while they’ll always be Marmite, there’s no question it will delight those already onboard.

“This is a record that not only expands the band’s universe and continues to prod metal’s boundaries, but considers what it means to be human. Otherworldly they may be, but there’s the deepest empathy within.”

Louder’s resident Gojira obsessive was still at uni when he joined the team in 2017. Since then, Matt’s become a regular in Prog and Metal Hammer, at his happiest when interviewing the most forward-thinking artists heavy music can muster. He’s got bylines in The Guardian, The Telegraph, NME, Guitar and many others, too. When he’s not writing, you’ll probably find him skydiving, scuba diving or coasteering.

Bring Me The Horizon guitarist Lee Malia to miss Australian shows

Bring Me The Horizon

Lee Malia is spending some quality time with his new addition to his family.

bring me the horizon tour 2014

The Australian run concludes on April 21 in Brisbane, with Lee expected to return when they head to Las Vegas on April 25 for a pair of consecutive side shows to coincide with their set at Sick New World festival.

In December, programmer and keyboardist Jordan Fish - who was instrumental in their evolved sound - departed the 'Kool-Aid' group.

Meanwhile, the BRIT Award-winning rockers were forced to push back the follow-up 2020's 'Post Human: Survival Horror', which was originally set for release on September 15, 2023, due to "unforeseen circumstances".

They have since confirmed they are in no "rush" and have added some new songs to ‘POST HUMAN: NeX GEn’.

Speaking to NME recently, Oli said: “It’s nearly finished, but it’s not finished.

“Every time we think we’ve got it; we get another song.

“It’s going to be right good though, it’s our best album ever… Worth the wait.”

Drummer Matt Nicholls continued: “It’s not quite finished yet, but it’s closer than it ever has been. We came back off tour and – we’ve got a studio in Sheffield – just cracked on. Got our heads down with everyone all together and we’re getting there. It’s this close…

“It is really good, and we’re really happy with it but it takes time, doesn’t it?

“You can’t rush these things."

Hear ARCHITECT's new anthem "Curse" produced by BRING ME THE HORIZON alum JORDAN FISH

Back in December, Architects closed out 2023 with a bang, surprise-releasing a crushingly heavy new single called " Seeing Red " and announcing their first North American tour in five years. Now, the Brighton, England-bred metalcore trailblazers have resurfaced with another fiery new cut, the succinctly titled "Curse," and news of a follow-up run of U.S. dates this fall.

Maybe most intriguing, the heavy, anthemic "Curse" was produced by former Bring Me the Horizon keyboardist, percussionist and producer Jordan Fish , marking a U.K. metalcore dream-team pairing between Architects and the longtime BMTH cornerstone. Fish split with Bring Me in late 2023 and has since posted photos of himself at work in the studio with members of Spiritbox and Architects, among others, with "Curse" being the first fruit of those labors.

Stream the new Architects single above via YouTube, and check out the band's full 2024 North American itinerary below.
