Bruno Mars is performing in Tokyo and Osaka this October

You can catch the Bruno Mars Japan Tour 2022 at Tokyo Dome and Osaka’s Kyocera Dome in October

With Japan’s border restrictions starting to ease, concerts are making a big comeback, and Tokyo is expecting some international superstars in the coming months. Now adding his name to an already impressive list of artists scheduled to perform in Japan – Avril Lavigne, Maroon 5 and Bjork, just to name a few – is Grammy-award winning American singer Bruno Mars. This is his first show in the country in four years.

The Bruno Mars Japan Tour 2022 is scheduled to kick off at Kyocera Dome in Osaka on October 22 and 23 , followed by two shows at Tokyo Dome on October 26 and 27 . The cheapest bleachers are the B-seat tickets which go for ¥9,800. The A-seat tickets cost ¥11,800 while the S seats are ¥14,800. If you prefer to be on the ground, the SS seats will set you back ¥18,800.

Superfans, however, might want to get right close to the stage with the VIP S seat tickets (¥38,800). If money is no object, you can go all out with the ultimate VIP SS seat tickets. For ¥128,000, you’ll have exclusive access to a VIP lounge, special merchandise and a designated VIP entrance.

For the Tokyo concerts, you also have the option of VIP balcony seats (¥29,800) as well as silver (¥22,000 per person) and gold (¥30,000 per person) box seats. For the latter, you can lounge around on sofas in a group (group size varies between four and ten people). 

HIP members can now enter the ticket lottery via the website until 11.59pm on October 2. Public ticket sales will open soon, so keep an eye on the website for updates.

Hooligans, unite. Bruno Mars is on his way back to Tokyo on his latest tour and will be busting out his best hits.

What to expect

Mars will bring what he’s known for — funk, moves, and a soulful voice — to Tokyo Dome for seven days in January 2024. So far, these are the only dates in East Asia, so you may want to travel for this one. The first lottery round was sold out, so two new tour dates have been added: January 20 and 21.

• January 11, 16, and 18: Doors open at 5 p.m. and the performance starts at 7 p.m.
• January 13 and 20: Doors open at 4 p.m. and the performance starts at 6 p.m.
• January 14 and 21: Doors open at 3 p.m. and the performance starts at 5 p.m.

If his last appearance in Tokyo was anything to go by, you’ll want to prepare to get lottery tickets for this one. The presale lottery (meaning you aren’t guaranteed tickets) begins on July 16 and ends on July 24. More info here . Tickets for the January 20 and 21 lottery are available till August 20.

Tickets start at ¥ 9,800 for B seats, ¥ 11,800 for A seats, ¥ 14,800 for S seats, and ¥ 18,800 for SS seats. There are also VIP packages available.

Recent tour reviews

I spent $256 on a ticket and flew from Florida to Las Vegas to see this fiasco of a show. The show was supposed to start at 9. The curtain finally rose at almost 9:30. The drums and bass were so loud, little of the vocals could be heard. The band was off several times, there was limited choreography, 2 solos (drum and piano, neither of which were Bruno, OBVIOUS TIME FILLERS), and the show lasted one hour and 15 minutes. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!! IT SUCKED!! I am used to hearing songs sung at concerts, not stopped mid-way to laugh and joke. Bruno Mars needs to go to some REAL concerts so he can see how to please his PAYING AUDIENCE. Go get some lessons from Pink, Elton John, who ever, Bruno, cause your show is a joke!!

The Bruno Mars concert was amazing! The only fault that I would say is that there was a lot of waiting Dua Lipa was right on time and it felt like when’s Bruno coming?! Then after Dua Lipa we had to wait for them to set Bruno up which felt like forever, but when he was out there it was amazing he had fireworks and amazing dance moves and his singing was just amazing. He even added some comedy in there, and he was putting his absolute all you could see by the sweat on his body. After we thought it was over but he surprised us with an extra song :) it was an experience of a lifetime and I must say for my first concert it was A M A Z I N G ! For the merchandise I feel some of it was just a bit overpriced like the hats.

It was awesome!!!!!

Bebe Rexha was there and Nick Jonas and who we were all waiting for BRUNO MARSSSS!!!

I was soooo happy when Nick Jonas sang one of his songs from Camp Rock!!!!

Bebe Rexha sang Me, Myself, and I, I love that song!!! I just think it wasn’t necessary to say some bad words while she spoke, but thats ok because it’s BEBE REXHA!!!

Bruno Mars was I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E!!!!!

He sang all of my favorite songssss and ne sang UPTOWN FUNK!!!! AWESOME!!!!

Overall, it was the best concert of my life, even though we could have been in better seats, and I even got a souvenir t-shirt!!!!
