Amazing performance. Croud was super hyped. Music was spot on despite the fact that I barely knew this dup. Atmosphere was spectacular and people were very friendly. It was one of the best nights of my life. 10/10

There are a lot of successful sisters in musical history, so much so there is a song confirming the profitable nature of these collaborations. However Canadian dance duo DVBBS are proving that brothers have their own way of making awesome music. Alex and Christopher have been known on the circuit since 2012 yet they achieved international notoriety following their collaboration with Borgeous on the track 'Tsunami'.

It is fair to say that the live show is not solely focused around this hit, they have attended the likes of Tomorrowland and Ultra Festival and have taken what they have learnt and applied it to their own show. It is a tight operation with a huge emphasis on fun as both brothers are intent on making sure every member of their large crowd is dancing throughout the gig. They play a number of original tracks such as 'Gold Skies' and 'Voodoo' before their original remix of 'Tsunami' to feature the vocals of Tinie Tempah. With a debut album due for imminent release, it is pretty set that this duo will heading further up festival lineups in the future.

There’s nothing quite like a bit of good old-fashioned brotherly love, which perhaps explains quite why it is that DVBBS have already managed to achieve so much, just two years after they first began making music together; the young siblings from Ontario, Canada have had a huge impact on the ‘big room house’ scene, both with commercial successes like their single ‘Tsunami (Jump)’ - which features Tinie Tempah - and through their genuinely thrilling live shows; if anything, it’s been the latter that have been instrumental in really reinforcing the group’s reputation to date. Admittedly, they only have a relatively limited cache of material to be working with, given how short in the toot the group currently is, but it’s probably for the best that their live sets are kept as short, sharp shocks anyway; tracks are meshed at breakneck pace and snippets of current house staples aired as the Van Den Hoef brothers prove just how adept they are at controlling fervent crowds in packed clubs, as well as commanding the attention of huge festival gatherings.

'Gold Skies' (2014) peaked at number 19 on the Dance/Electronic Chart followed by 'Never Leave' (2016) which went to number 32, 'La La Land' (2016) peaked at number 24, 'Not Going Home' (2017) made it to number 19, 'I Love It' (2018) reached number 40 and 'IDWK' went to number 12. The 'Beautiful Disaster' EP peaked at number six on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart in 2016. 'Blood of My Blood', with tracks featuring Happy Sometimes, 24hrs, Cisco Adler, Belly, Buzz and Chris Marshall, was released in October 2017. Orangeville’s very own is coming home! DVBBS just announced their 2023 Tour with a stop in Toronto July 2 at Cabana Pool Bar.

Other Canadian cities include Vancouver, Winnipeg and Quebec City.

Dvbss will also do shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Neptune New Jersey, Tampa, Providence, Washington DC and Salt Lake City.
