Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks Announces 2023 Solo U.S. Tour Dates

Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks is hitting the road across the U.S. in 2023. As a solo artist, she just revealed a new stretch of tour dates for this year that will dovetail with her previously announced 2023 concerts  alongside fellow soft rock icon Billy Joel .

On Monday (Jan. 23), Nicks announced the additional dates that will find her playing sans Joel in Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle and beyond through the summer. The 14 new Nicks dates fit in and around the joint gigs with Joel in Los Angeles, Baltimore and elsewhere.

Last month, Nicks and Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood each  paid tribute to their late bandmate  Christine McVie  after McVie  died at 79 .

"A few hours ago I was told that my best friend in the whole world since the first day of 1975, had passed away." Nicks shared in a handwritten letter. "I didn’t even know she was ill… until late Saturday night."

Tickets for Nicks' solo dates (non-Joel shows) go on sale this Friday (Jan. 27) at 10AM local time. Fan pre-sale via Live Nation starts the day before at 10AM.

Is Fleetwood Mac Touring Again? Future of The Band Explained

Fleetwood Mac is one of the most iconic and influential bands in the world. The band's discography has inspired countless artists and other bands to form their own, including the Emmy-nominated television show and novel of the same name - "Daisy Jones and The Six."

One of its members, Stevie Nicks, opened up about whether the band will start touring again in the coming future, as some of its original members are still alive.

Fleetwood Mac Tour 2024 Happening?

Speaking to Vulture , Stevie Nicks, one of the band's vocalists and songwriters, confirmed whether a Fleetwood Mac tour would happen in the near future.

Sadly, a Fleetwood Mac Tour won't be happening anytime soon because of Christine McVie's death in 2022.

"When Christine died, I felt like you can't replace her. You just can't. Without her, what is it? You know what I mean?" she explained to the outlet.

Christine McVie's death startled the music industry in 2022. On Nov. 30, 2022, McVie died of a stroke in a hospital at the age of 79.

Nicks, her best friend, has mourned her death at the time.

"A few hours ago I was told that my best friend in the whole world since the first day of 1975, had passed away. I didn't even know she was ill until late Saturday night," Nicks wrote on Instagram . "I wanted to be in London; I wanted to get to London - but we were told to wait."

She then posted an excerpt of a song she wrote for McVie on Instagram.

"See you on the other side, my love. Don't forget me. Always, Stevie," she ended her message .

The band did a tour in 2018, which ran for 88 shows in the United States, Europe, and Oceania. It was their last tour yet, and the last the band was seen with McVie on stage.

Elsewhere in the interview with Vulture , Stevie Nicks described her friendship with Christine McVie akin to a soulmate.

"She was like my soul mate, my musical soul mate, and my best friend that I spent more time with than any of my other best friends outside of Fleetwood Mac. Christine was my best friend," she gushed.

According to Nicks, McVie is the person she thinks about when listening to Taylor Swift's "You're On Your Own, Kid," specifically the line "You always have been."

"It was like, that was Christine and I. We were on our own in that band. We always were. We protected each other. Who am I going to look over to on the right and have them not be there behind that Hammond organ? When she died, I figured we really can't go any further with this. There's no reason to," she explained of the reason why Fleetwood Mac won't go on tour again.

Produced by Live Nation, the tour starts Wednesday, March 15 at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA, making stops in Las Vegas, San Francisco, New Orleans, Atlanta, and more before wrapping up on Tuesday, June 27 in Louisville, KY at KFC Yum! Center.

Stevie Nicks says Fleetwood Mac won’t tour again after death of Christine McVie

Singer says ‘we really can’t go any further with this – there’s no reason to’ when asked about future of band

Stevie Nicks has said Fleetwood Mac will not tour again after the death of Christine McVie in November 2022.

In an interview with Vulture , she referred to the band’s 2018 tour, An Evening With Fleetwood Mac. “We had a really great time and it was a huge tour. That was there in the realm of possibility. But when Christine died, I felt like you can’t replace her. You just can’t. Without her, what is it?” Nicks said.

“Who am I going to look over to on the right and have them not be there behind that Hammond organ? When she died, I figured we really can’t go any further with this. There’s no reason to.”

Mick Fleetwood has previously suggested that the band could be finished, saying in February: “I truly think the line in the sand has been drawn with the loss of Chris. I’d say we’re done, but then we’ve all said that before.”

Announcing the An Evening With Fleetwood Mac tour, McVie had said it could be the band’s last: “The 2018 tour is supposed to be a farewell tour, but you take farewell tours one at a time. Somehow we always come together, this unit.” She had stopped touring with the group in 1998 due to developing a phobia of flying, but rejoined in 2013.

She died in 2022 after a short illness. Nicks paid tribute at the time, writing that McVie reminded audiences “that love is all around us to reach for and touch in this precious life … Part of my heart has flown away today.”

Continuing her reminiscence of McVie with Vulture, Nicks said: “She was like my soul mate, my musical soul mate, and my best friend that I spent more time with than any of my other best friends outside of Fleetwood Mac. Christine was my best friend. When I think about Taylor Swift’s song You’re on Your Own, Kid and the line ‘you always have been,’ it was like, that was Christine and I. We were on our own in that band. We always were. We protected each other.”

Nicks is on a solo tour of the US, including a number of dates alongside Billy Joel billed as Two Icons, One Night; her tour was recently extended into 2024. In July, she released a 16 LP box set of her studio albums alongside newly released rarities.

This week, she has also unveiled a collaboration with Mattel on a Barbie doll made in her likeness, wearing the floating black dress she is pictured in on the cover of Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours. “When I look at her, I see my 27-year-old self,” she said in a statement. “What we have been through since 1975 – the battles we have fought, the lessons we have learned together. I am her and she is me. She absolutely has my heart.”

DETROIT - Her voice is unmistakable. Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks is going on tour in 2023 and she has just announced one concert in Michigan set for Tuesday, November 7th at Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 19 at 10 a.m.

Nicks last performed solo in Michigan in September 2022 at Pine Knob marking the amphitheater’s 50th concert of the season. Prior to that, she performed solo in the area at the now demolished Palace of Auburn Hills in November 2016.

She last performed with Fleetwood Mac in the area at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit in October 2018, minus Lindsey Buckingham.

Rumours of Fleetwood Mac were superb. The voices, and music sounded so authentic! Had an absolutely great evening and would definitely see them again! 10 out of 10. No wonder this tribute band has been going so long, although the current line up appears to have changed.

Having seen this tribute band many times before I have to say I was disappointed with the concert in Bristol last night, the timing and sound was not up to its usual standard. Band members not working together as well as previously.

Excellent evening..

the only thing that dissapointed me was the acoustic version of "Big love".

Definetly not a song to do without a full band, otherwise superb.

A few empty seat which was dissapointing to see.

Little by little all the 70s bands are planning farewell reunion tours.

The Eagles are getting ready to embark on one, Aerosmith and KISS are also eyeing the end of their touring days. Elton John just wrapped his last go round. Paul Simon has already dotted his i’s and crossed his t’s.

Now I’m hearing that Fleetwood Mac may be next. There is even talk, sources say per Mick Fleetwood, of reuniting with Lindsey Buckingham, who was fired from the group a couple of years ago. But with the passing of Christine McVie, it makes sense to get Buckingham back in the fold. He and Stevie Nicks can fight once the tour is over and they’re in nursing homes, frankly.

Also let’s not forget. John McVie retired from touring. Fleetwood Mac now would just be Mick and Stevie. They need Lindsay Buckingham, writer of many of their hits, to get on board.

A Mac attack in 2024 would be an easy sell out, too, for arenas. A solid, big name younger act would be a good opener. The Mac can fill three hours without a doubt, and now they’d have a memorial tribute that bring everyone would to tears.

So hang on Mac fans. The only question is, when all these groups wrap it up, who will take their places? Yes, the Stones, McCartney and Springsteen, and Ringo Starr, are still out there. But the era of live Classic Rock is ebbing away.

Aerosmith announces rescheduled 2024-25 farewell tour dates. Get tickets

No need to “Dream On” much longer.

Aerosmith has finally announced the rescheduled dates of their ‘Peace Out’ farewell tour with special guests The Black Crowes and Teddy Swims on select dates.

The 40-concert jaunt will take the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers to arenas all over North America from September 2024 up until February 2025.

Notable shows include stops at Newark, NJ’s Prudential Center on Saturday, Dec. 28 and New York’s Madison Square Garden on Feb. 23, 2025.

Their last gig is scheduled for Feb. 26, 2025 at Buffalo’s KeyBank Center .

This upcoming trek will be the second attempt at rescheduling the tour; Steven Tyler sustained vocal cord damage at a Sept. 9, 2023 concert in Long Island — just three shows into their run — and the band had to postpone indefinitely.

“All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled shows,” Aerosmith shared on Instagram .

If you haven’t gotten tickets yet and want to sing along to “Sweet Emotion,” “Walk This Way,” “Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” and so many more hits one last time, tickets can be scooped up for all ‘Peace Out’ concerts as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, April 12, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

The original Aerosmtih lineup won’t be fully intact on this run of concerts.

Yes, lead singer Steven Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry, bassist Tom Hamilton and rhythm guitarist Brad Whitford are slated to perform at all shows.

However, drummer Joey Kramer will be sitting this run of shows out to “focus his attention on his family and health” according to  AP News .

Kramer, 72, will be replaced by John Douglas who has drummed with the band since 2019.

On all dates except their opener when they’ll perform with Teddy Swims, Aerosmith will be joined by  The Black Crowes aka Rolling Stone’s “best new band of 1990.”

The band, known for mega hits “Hard To Handle” and “She Talks To Angels,” is also conducting a solo tour of their own this year including a show at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on April 27.

In 1973, the 25-year-old Tyler was given guardianship of 16-year-old Julia Holcomb so the two could live together.

After a tumultuous three-year relationship, the two broke up.

Nearly 50 years later, Holcomb — who now goes by Julia Misley — filed a lawsuit in December 2022. In the suit, she claimed Tyler sexually assaulted her, forced her to abort their child, and convinced her to drink and take drugs after he promised to serve as her guardian.

In the trial, Tyler alleged the relationship was consensual and had immunity because of his guardian status.

Legal experts have since said “caregiver immunity” does not exist if you sexually abuse the person you’ve taken in.

“The lawsuit came in the final days of California’s Child Victims Act, which temporarily lifted the statute of limitations for survivors of childhood sexual abuse to come forward with their allegations,” Consequence of Sound reported.

Jeanne Bellino, another minor that was sexually abused by Tyler in the 1970s, also filed a lawsuit against him; US District Judge Lewis Kaplan threw the case out this February because she “had waited too long to sue Tyler under a New York City law protecting victims of gender-motivated violence,” Reuters wrote.

“(Kaplan) said Bellino did not qualify for a two-year window to pursue claims that would otherwise extend beyond statutes of limitations, because she did not allege that Tyler’s conduct posed a “serious risk of physical injury.”

When Slash was putting together the track list for his upcoming blues album, Orgy of the Damned , he had a very distinct voice in mind for his version of Fleetwood Mac’s “Oh Well”: Chris Stapleton .

“His singing cadence and that drawl that he has for this particular song, in my mind’s eye, it sounded perfect,” the Guns N’ Roses guitarist tells Rolling Stone .

But despite Stapleton having opened some shows for GN’R, Slash didn’t already have a relationship with the country crooner. “I had to get his number and cold call him,” Slash says. “And he was really gracious about it and really bent over backwards to help me get it done.”

In the 2023 year-end charts , Fuerza Regida made  Billboard  history by becoming the first  Latin  band to be No. 1 on the  Top Artists – Duo/Group  list, followed by Grupo Frontera and Fleetwood Mac. (Previous No. 1 artists on the list have included Destiny’s Child, Green Day, The Black Eyed Peas, One Direction, Jonas Brothers and BTS.) The group also won at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards for Top Duo/Group and Top Latin Duo/Group.

“I’m speechless, really. Coming from where we come from, not many people get out [of the hood], whether they get out alive, are dead, or go to jail,” frontman Jesús Ortiz Paz told Billboard Español in December. “I just have to say that I am grateful to God, and to all my family, my mom, my dad, and all my friends. If it wasn’t for everyone’s help, and also the fans, we wouldn’t be here. Fuerza Regida and I are in charge of continuing to give [fans] great music and, God willing, I will continue to give until the last straw.”
