Enchanted Christmas at Knowsley Safari

Experience the wonderful and wild knowsley safari christmas event., about knowsley safari.

Experience a day to remember at Merseyside’s magnificent Knowsley Safari . Get up close with amazing animals from all over the world on the UK’s largest safari drive . The 8km-long-track weaves though a variety of enclosures, letting visitors meet creatures such as white rhino, African lions, European bison, Pere David’s deer and two‐humped Bactarian camels amongst many other incredible species!

Your journey will lead you through the Baboon Jungle , where you’ll meet a troop of, you guessed it, baboons! These marvellous monkeys are actually the largest of all monkey species.

They can be quite mischievous , too. However, visitors can choose to brave the Baboon Jungle, or see the baboons without worrying about the car, by either taking the car friendly route around the Baboon Jungle or booking to ride the Baboon Bus .

The Foot Safari

The Foot Safari provides visitors with the opportunity to see and learn about animals close‐up whilst outside the vehicle, too. It’s home to the unique Tiger Trail ‐ a 10,000 square metre natural Russian‐inspired habitat where you can meet Amur Tigers . Elsewhere, you can meet giraffes, meerkats, bush dogs and Iberian wolves, plus there are also California Sea Lions to see bathing in their outdoor pool and a spooky Bat Forest to explore. Wow!

Safari visitors can learn more about these amazing creatures at animal talks and workshops , interactive displays and through the Knowsley Safari app .

knowsley safari events

Experience the magic of Knowsley after the sun sets this Christmas at their special event – Enchanted . See the safari sparkle in the moonlight as it’s lit up with stunning illuminated versions of your favourite animals.

In this magical, moonlit paradise, you’ll find lots of fun festive activities; enjoy exciting light shows , cosy up with tasty festive drinks , climb aboard thrilling rides, and you can even meet Santa himself in his grotto. Ho ho how cool is that?

knowsley safari events

Enchanted takes place on the Foot Safari route .

Part of the Foot Safari is the Amur Tiger Trail, which lets you peer into the l argest tiger enclosure in Europe . Its residents are two Amur Tiger sisters Bira and Sinda , and a newly introduced male named Kuzma .

Amur tigers were on the brink of extinction in the 1940s , but conservation efforts pulled their numbers up from around 40 individuals to somewhere between 523 and 540 in 2015. Great news! But they are still at risk. Staff at Knowsley Safari hope that introducing Kuzma will encourage Bira to breed . Fingers crossed they’ll be hearing the pitter patter of tiny tiger cub paws soon. That’ll be roar -some!

The tiger project is just one of the many fantastic conservation project s that Knowsley Safari is supporting. Their work is to protect wildlife around the world for future generations.

Enchanted runs from 22nd November – 23rd December, 4:30pm – 8:00pm on selected dates. Tickets cost £7.50 per person (adult and child entry prices), with a visit to Santa’s Grotto priced at £7.50 per person.

Christmas Party : Liverpool Christmas Party at Knowsley Safari Park 2023 – LIV368

Liverpool christmas party at knowsley safari park 2023 – liv368, christmas party at knowsley safari park 2023, the roaring twenties.

It’s Chicago, 1922…gangsters and mobsters rule the streets and prohibition is in full force…you have just one chance to escape the city lockdown and party hard…whisper the secret password and the warehouse doors swing open to reveal the glamorous style and intoxicating atmosphere of our secret underground Speakeasy. Welcome to the hidden world of the Roaring Twenties… an era of decadence and indulgence… finally it really is time to party!

Choose the glitz of the Gatsby bar for a glass of prosecco or a classy cocktail, the vibe here is exclusive and exuding glamour. Relax with the laid-back soundtrack and admire the awesome aerial trapeze performances.

Alternatively, head into the hot, lively and jumpin’ jazz bar, where the atmosphere is charged and the music is pumping. Grab a beer whilst our Molls and Flappers entertain.

Take your seats under one giant, twinkling, star-lit ceiling, as our award-winning caterers serve three courses of delicious fine dining. Each dish is interspersed with dramatic bursts of entertainment from our spectacular cast.

With dinner served and the drinks now flowing, prohibition has only just begun…

With the dancefloor open, show off your moves! Throughout the evening there are two styles of music, choose between our signature, central dancefloor and our chic, silent disco zone.

Whatever your choice, we guarantee atmospheric floor fillers and absolute classics to dance the night away.

Enjoy a variety of exciting dessert stations, including giant doughnut walls, coffee and petit fours, creative live ice-cream theatre and our Christmas Crumble!

There are magnums of prosecco to be won every night in the glamorous casino, join us at the roulette table or try your luck with a hand or two of Blackjack. There is even more fun to be had as you jump on our exhilarating and world-famous dodgems!

As the clock strikes twelve, don’t miss our survivors breakfast whilst you ride, flutter, drink and dance the night away.

The Roaring Twenties offers everything your group could possibly wish for – Christmas Parties in Liverpool don’t get any better than this!

Russia arrests another suspect in the concert hall attack that killed 144

April 27, 2024 / 10:14 AM EDT / CBS/AP

A Moscow court has detained another suspect as an accomplice in the attack by gunmen on a suburban Moscow concert hall that killed 144 people in March, the Moscow City Courts Telegram channel said Saturday.

Dzhumokhon Kurbonov, a citizen of Tajikistan, is accused of providing the attackers with means of communication and financing. The judge at Moscow's Basmanny District Court ruled that Kurbonov would be kept in custody until May 22, pending investigation and trial.

Russian state news agency RIA Novosti said Kurbonov was reportedly detained on April 11 for 15 days on the administrative charge of petty hooliganism. Independent Russian media outlet Mediazona noted that this is a common practice used by Russian security forces to hold a person in custody while a criminal case is prepared against them.

Four gunmen  allegedly carried out the attack , firing into the crowd at the Crocus City Hall concert venue, according to prior CBS News reporting. Some concertgoers were shot at point-blank range. Hundreds were injured, and the attackers also set the concert hall, which is connected to a shopping mall, on fire, causing a partial collapse of the building's roof.

"The shots were constant," eyewitness Dave Primov told CBS News. "People panicked and started to run. Some fell down and were trampled on."

Twelve defendants have been arrested in the case, including the four who allegedly carried out the attack. Those four appeared in the same Moscow court at the end of March on terrorism charges and showed signs of severe beatings . One appeared to be barely conscious during the hearing. The court ordered that the men, all of whom were identified in the media as citizens of Tajikistan, also be held in custody until May 22.

A faction of the Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the massacre, but Russian officials including President Vladimir Putin have persistently claimed, without presenting evidence, that Ukraine and the West had a role in the attack.

Ukraine denies involvement and its officials claim that Moscow is pushing the allegation as a pretext to intensify its fighting in Ukraine.
