I'm a larger, athletic guy (6'2", 260lbs powerlifter) and I found the seats incredibly uncomfortable with minimal leg room, especially in a window seat. Now, I full understand that being smaller may change my view but even if I was 80lbs less, my legs would be the same size and I was sandwiched between my seat and the seat in front of me.

Horrible. This was not first class. This was a connecting flight whi h was late. My original flight never came. I hated the fact that delta gave me a connecting flight from New York to Orlando Florida. No meals and the television screens were not working. There wasn't even any power to charge your phones. This is NOT FIRST CLASS DELTA!!! Do better next time!

This flight was ridiculous. I had to have a connecting flight from New York to orlando Florida??? The flight left late and because it was a short flight there was no first class amenities. I had one alcohol drink. The flight crew was fine, but it sure did not feel like first class. Delta to me dropped the ball by giving me a connecting flight. By the time we got to Raleigh we would have missed the next flight. Lucky for me the flight never came so now I was stuck waiting for a later flight that came in late also.

Our flight was delayed in Atlanta. The staff could have gave us an explanation for the delay and how long it would be.

Due to one crew member not showing up to work, our flight was significantly delayed causing us to miss our connecting flight in Houston to Mississippi causing us to be delayed by more than 6 hours and missing our event all together. United did grant us a $15 meal voucher, which was a small but appreciated concession that I wasn’t able to use because I ordered my lunch and paid for it before applying the concession, and the staff said it was too late to use it. Ugh! We also had a TWO delay coming back from Mississippi, but that was on American Airlines and it was due to weather, so not their fault. Anyway, not at all impressed with United’s handling of our flight and the HUGE disappointment of missing our important family event for our 90 year old mother. All that money and all that stress and emotions for nothing. Having to wait the hour to bring an employee from LAX seemed like something that should not have happened. Why don’t you have a local back-up? Santa Ana is not a little airport in a rural area.

Kayak does not know that spirit airlines charged me $70 to fly. But the bag check-in was $89 each way. This is false advertising to lure people. Spirit airlines sends bunch of emails after flight purchases to buy wifi, better seats, priority boarding, secure reserved seats. This is false advertising. Up front pricing. I would of flown jet blue or Alaska airlines.

Every interaction the airline seems to want to find a different way to extract more money from you. The second leg of our journey they wouldn't let us board the plane without taking another $99 for a bag we asked about at the ticket counter and boarded with on the first leg of our journey. Horrible airline, poor culture. Not flying Spirit again.

No basic services such as water, snacks. Internet very expensive. Seats were very small, hard and uncomfortable. Alaskan Airlines, my outbound flight to Boise from Orlando, offered beverage service, a snack, and reasonable priced internet, for the same price as my return trip on Spirit. It had more comfortable seating also.

Awful experience. Both flights were delayed several times with weather but also crew members being the official cause. The vouchers are unusable and insufficient ($50 voucher to fly the same crappy airline is a joke for putting me on a red-eye that landed at 3:00 am). But an eight-month-old orb with a talent for shapeshifting is stealing a little of their thunder.

Sphere at The Venetian Resort , an entertainment venue that opened September 2023 just off the Las Vegas Strip , has garnered much attention since its debut for its immersive audio-visual experiences.

See the 366-foot-tall venue from the outside at night and it captivates people for its ability to project images from its exterior shell (also called the Exosphere) containing 580,000 square feet of LED lights, whether it's the Earth, the surface of Mars, a blinking eye, or an emoji. It developed a reputation for causing traffic gridlock since the projections began last year during the Fourth of July.

Inside, the venue's 160,000-square-foot display with 16K by 16K resolution displays immersive visuals, backed by the world's largest beamforming audio system, according to The Venetian .

Described on its website as "a next-generation entertainment medium that is redefining the future of live entertainment," Sphere is an immersive venue that uses haptics (seats that can move and vibrate), atmospheric simulations and visual effects to "transport audiences to places real and imagined."

The Sphere Experience, the main attraction inside the Sphere, is a two-part attraction. The first part, guided by a humanoid robot called Aura, includes a 360-degree avatar capture and a 50-foot-high holographic installation.

The second part is a viewing of an immersive film called "Postcard From Earth" by director Darren Aronofsky on Sphere's largest, highest-definition screen. "Postcard From Earth" is described as part nature documentary, part science fiction movie.

Sphere has also hosted concerts, with U2 inaugurating it with a 40-show residency that launched on Sept. 29, 2023. Sporting events are coming as well: UFC President Dana White said in February that he booked Sphere for UFC 306, scheduled for Sept. 14, 2024.

Plane door falls off after taking off from Las Vegas runway

    LAS VEGAS ( KVVU ) — Federal aviation authorities are investigating a flight out of North Las Vegas where a plane took off from the runway and its door fell off and landed on the ground.

The Federal Aviation Administration released the following statement:

“A single-engine Diamond DA40 landed safely at North Las Vegas Airport … on Thursday, March 7, after the pilot reported losing the left rear passenger door. Two people were on board. The FAA will investigate.”

The plane is registered to an owner out of Colorado, but a source tells FOX5, it’s managed by a company out of the North Las Vegas airport. We are waiting to hear back.

No word from the FAA where the door was located around the perimeter of the flight. The plane reached an altitude of around 3,000 feet– or 800 feet off the ground– then turned around and landed back at the airport.

The plane is registered to an owner out of Colorado, but a source tells FOX5, its managed by a company out of the North Las Vegas airport. We are waiting to hear back.

After recent frightening incidents with commercial flights, interest has soared in plane parts falling to the ground. Aviation expert Michael McCarron, a former assistant deputy director at the San Francisco Airport, tells FOX5 and our viewers that these incidents are nothing new and the FAA has investigated them for decades. The feds even have a term for them: TFOA– or “things falling off aircraft.”

You never want anything falling from an aircraft. Unforeseen things do occur. That’s one of the main reasons the air crew, the pilots, walk around and look at the aircraft and make sure everything’s intact, the panels are where they should be, the doors latch as they should.

“The FAA will launch an investigation. They’ll look at the maintenance records, and look at the manufacturing history of the aircraft,” McCarron said.

The same model has been under recent scrutiny. As recently as February 13, FOX Business reported a single-engine Diamond DA40 made an emergency landing in Buffalo, also after the left rear passenger door flew off. Crews went to neighborhoods searching for the door.

FOX5 obtained a 2010 manual for owners of the Diamond DA40, which warns against trying to lock an open door, mid-flight– causing the door to drop from the plane. The manual says the plane can be flown safely to the nearest airfield.

“If it happens at an altitude, it can be highly dangerous as far as rapid decompression, blown eardrums and things being sucked out of the aircraft,” McCarron said.
