Swift Travel

Description.

Swift Travel correctly refers to special Stable-master routes that transport a character quickly between two stable points without having to pass through all the distance in between. Certain low-level swift travel routes are available to all, but most of the routes require a character to have Swift Travel unlocked by any of the following methods:

  • Any character on a VIP account
  • Any character who was logged in when the account was VIP, even if it has since switched to Premium (Note: New characters created while Premium will not have Swift Travel.)
  • Any character who has used a Writ of Special Passage , which can be found in a Gift for a Starting Adventurer or purchased from the LOTRO Store

Some Swift Travel routes have additional requirements, such as earning reputation with a local faction or completing a deed in the region. See also Travelling .

Free to Play and Premium Characters

Characters who are Free-to-Play , and Premium characters who have never been played during VIP , may use Swift Travel by buying Writs of Special Passage at the LOTRO Store . Swift routes between starter areas are available for anybody, that is routes between these locations:

  • Bree - West Gate
  • Thorin's Gate
  • Michel Delving

Alternative Meanings

The term "swift travel" is frequently used in chat as slang to refer to any skill or ability that allows you to travel from one location to another instantly, without any significant time passing regardless of the distance traveled. This category can include any of the following:

  • Mustering Horns
  • The Guardian's Promise
  • Certain quests also cause you to travel to various locations as part of the quest.

A Hunter's guide to fast-travel in LotRO

There are several reasons to roll a Hunter in Lord of the Rings Online . You can usually do the most damage. You are the primary ranged-attacker. You can track virtually anything in the game. You can provide speed buffs that help you and your fellowship run faster. You can name yourself some clever variation of "Legolas". Whoa wait, no. Please don't ever do that. But the fact of the matter is, the Hunter is a powerful and extremely popular class in the game, and it would never hurt to learn a bit more about the actual usefulness of their skills. In this guide, we're going to focus on one of the most valuable aspects of the Hunter: the wayfaring or "guide" skills that allow you to quickly and easily teleport yourself or your entire fellowship to certain spots across the map instantly.

These skills may be considered overpowered by many other players, but the fact is, they make the Hunter viable in a group setting, so that's exactly how we're going to approach this guide. The class is so geared towards solo-ability and high direct-ranged damage, that sometimes their aggro-stealing abilities become a problem in the hands of the less experienced players. But if played correctly, the Hunter stays in the background during combat and picks off his targets gently or lays down the occasional snare while the rest of the group does their crowd control thing. For this reason, you want to make sure that as a Hunter in a group, when it comes to the things you know best -- tracking and traveling -- you are confident in your abilities. We're here to help. The first of this type of skill is not an actual guide skill itself, but it can be considered a "guide light" skill. The skill is Find the Path which will increase the fellowship run speed by 15%. You can also use it on yourself, but when you are attacked or you attack an enemy, the buff instantly turns off. Keep in mind that while this is a fellowship-affecting skill, it only works if the members of your group are very near you. It's especially helpful when running to the quest location or between fights at lower levels, but remember that any aggro at all will turn this skill off. You gain this skill fairly early at level 14 from any Hunter trainer for 19 silver and 60 copper. The second wayfaring skill is called Desperate Flight , which will teleport you to a nearby rally point. These rally points are the stone circles you find yourself in after your character dies. This skill can be a blessing when you're in deep trouble and want to escape certain death, but if overused, it can be a nuisance to the rest of your fellowship. Notoriously, this skill has gained a bad reputation from players who abuse it (or use it at all in a group), so if you choose to bring it, use it as a last resort. As with the majority of these wayfaring skills (besides Find the Path), this skill requires the use of Travelling Rations ; only one in this case, though. You can buy these rations from any Provisioner NPC throughout the game at the cost of 2 silver per piece. For the first "real" guide skill in the wayfaring line, we have Guide to Michel Delving , which you obtain at level 22 from your Hunter trainer. At the cost of 64 power and 2 Travelling Rations, you can teleport to the southeastern corner of The Shire with your fellowship. An important note when using these guide skills is to remember that they only work on fellowship members who are close to you, so make sure everyone is standing near you before you use the skill, or you might end up with some angry group members. The second guide skill is Guide to Thorin's Hall obtained at level 24. This skill costs 64 power and 2 Travelling Rations to use. It will take you to the northern side of Thorin's Gate in Ered Luin, where you can find the amazingly large Dwarven fortress of Thorin's Hall. The third guide skill is Guide to Ost Guruth which is the first of these skills that you will obtain through a quest entitled "Wilderness by Ost Guruth" instead of simply buying from the Hunter trainer. You'll get this quest at level 26 from any of the various Hunter trainers throughout Middle Earth. Once you've completed the quest, you will then be able to teleport to Ost Guruth in the Lone-Lands at the cost of 64 power and 3 Travelling Rations. Also at level 26 you will have access to a very valuable skill called Return to Camp , which basically allows you and your fellowship to teleport to any of the twelve camp site fire locations throughout the land. These camp sites should not be confused with the regular camp fires which are used by the Cook profession to create their trail food. Instead, these camp sites are usually located right outside of an instance and are used to help teleport the group quickly into battle. You must actually bind yourself to the camp site first, much as you do with the milestone locations for quick travel back home. At a cost of 64 power and 3 Travelling Rations, it is certainly worth the time saved. The fourth guide skill is Guide to Bree which you will obtain at level 32 from the Hunter trainer. At the cost of 64 power and 2 Travelling Rations, you can easily teleport back to this wonderful mecca in the center of the land of Man known as Bree-Land. This skill is particularly useful as there are certain aspects of this city that are not found anywhere else, such as the trophy vendors. The fifth guide skill you'll gain is Guide to Esteldin which will take you to the east-central North Downs city of Esteldin, home of one of the finest crafting halls -- and your first encounter with a Superior Workbench! -- around. Not only is this city an important gateway to Nan Amlug and eventually Angmar, but it is jam-packed full of quests and acts as the perfect pivot point for leveling throughout your 30s. This guide skill will be available to you at level 34, and it also costs 64 power and 3 Travelling Rations to use. The sixth guide skill is Guide to Evendim , which is the second such skill that is obtained through a quest. This one is entitled "Tracks through Evendim", and once successfully completed, will grant you the ability to travel to the central Evendim island of Tinnudir. It also costs 64 power, 3 Travelling Rations and is only available at level 36. You'll find yourself with quite a long stretch of time before you can obtain your seventh guide skill at level 44. This one is called Guide to West Angmar and is obtained through a quest entitled "Desolation by Aughaire". Once completed, you will then be able to teleport to Aughaire, in western Angmar at the cost of 64 power and 4 Travelling Rations. The eighth guide skill in your journey is Guide to Rivendell which is available at level 46. There are so many reasons why you'd want to travel to this gorgeous Elven metropolis in the eastern Trollshaws, but what other reason do you need other than the fact that this is where you will first meet the real fellowship! Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Aragorn... they're all here! Even your namesake Legolas is here! It's an exciting milestone in the progression of the game when you reach Rivendell, and this skill will help you relive that euphoria whenever you feel like 64 power and 3 Travelling Rations are burning a hole in your pocket. Finally, the last guide skill in the wayfaring set is Guide to East Angmar which you will gain at level 48 through the completion of the quest "Waste Near Gath Forthnir". You will only be able to gain access to this quest upon the completion of Book 6: Chapter 7. It will cost you 64 power and an unpresedented 5 Travelling Rations to use this guide skill. Be sure to practice common sense when using these wayfaring skills in a group. Ask them if they want to be teleported after the quest or instance is over. Let them know that they need to be standing near you for it to work effectively, if you see any stragglers wandering outside of your range. And finally, we can't say it enough, but Desperate Flight is not called "Kinda Unsure Flight" or "It Might Be Fun To Play A Trick On The Group By Teleporting Yourself To A Random Spot To Leave Them Fending For Themselves Flight". It's to be used when you're in a desperate situation and know you're about to die, preferably while soloing. And that's it! We hope with this new fast-travel knowledge in place, you will be a better Hunter, especially in a group setting where your knowledge of the land will prove invaluable to those classes not as finely-tuned into nature's blessings. Go forth and hunt!

The Moscow Metro Museum of Art: 10 Must-See Stations

There are few times one can claim having been on the subway all afternoon and loving it, but the Moscow Metro provides just that opportunity.  While many cities boast famous public transport systems—New York’s subway, London’s underground, San Salvador’s chicken buses—few warrant hours of exploration.  Moscow is different: Take one ride on the Metro, and you’ll find out that this network of railways can be so much more than point A to B drudgery.

The Metro began operating in 1935 with just thirteen stations, covering less than seven miles, but it has since grown into the world’s third busiest transit system ( Tokyo is first ), spanning about 200 miles and offering over 180 stops along the way.  The construction of the Metro began under Joseph Stalin’s command, and being one of the USSR’s most ambitious building projects, the iron-fisted leader instructed designers to create a place full of svet (radiance) and svetloe budushchee (a radiant future), a palace for the people and a tribute to the Mother nation.

Consequently, the Metro is among the most memorable attractions in Moscow.  The stations provide a unique collection of public art, comparable to anything the city’s galleries have to offer and providing a sense of the Soviet era, which is absent from the State National History Museum.  Even better, touring the Metro delivers palpable, experiential moments, which many of us don’t get standing in front of painting or a case of coins.

Though tours are available , discovering the Moscow Metro on your own provides a much more comprehensive, truer experience, something much less sterile than following a guide.  What better place is there to see the “real” Moscow than on mass transit: A few hours will expose you to characters and caricatures you’ll be hard-pressed to find dining near the Bolshoi Theater.  You become part of the attraction, hear it in the screech of the train, feel it as hurried commuters brush by: The Metro sucks you beneath the city and churns you into the mix.

With the recommendations of our born-and-bred Muscovite students, my wife Emma and I have just taken a self-guided tour of what some locals consider the top ten stations of the Moscow Metro. What most satisfied me about our Metro tour was the sense of adventure .  I loved following our route on the maps of the wagon walls as we circled the city, plotting out the course to the subsequent stops; having the weird sensation of being underground for nearly four hours; and discovering the next cavern of treasures, playing Indiana Jones for the afternoon, piecing together fragments of Russia’s mysterious history.  It’s the ultimate interactive museum.

Top Ten Stations (In order of appearance)

Kievskaya station.

lotro fast travel

Kievskaya Station went public in March of 1937, the rails between it and Park Kultury Station being the first to cross the Moscow River.  Kievskaya is full of mosaics depicting aristocratic scenes of Russian life, with great cameo appearances by Lenin, Trotsky, and Stalin.  Each work has a Cyrillic title/explanation etched in the marble beneath it; however, if your Russian is rusty, you can just appreciate seeing familiar revolutionary dates like 1905 ( the Russian Revolution ) and 1917 ( the October Revolution ).

Mayakovskaya Station

Mayakovskaya Station ranks in my top three most notable Metro stations. Mayakovskaya just feels right, done Art Deco but no sense of gaudiness or pretention.  The arches are adorned with rounded chrome piping and create feeling of being in a jukebox, but the roof’s expansive mosaics of the sky are the real showstopper.  Subjects cleverly range from looking up at a high jumper, workers atop a building, spires of Orthodox cathedrals, to nimble aircraft humming by, a fleet of prop planes spelling out CCCP in the bluest of skies.

Novoslobodskaya Station

lotro fast travel

Novoslobodskaya is the Metro’s unique stained glass station.  Each column has its own distinctive panels of colorful glass, most of them with a floral theme, some of them capturing the odd sailor, musician, artist, gardener, or stenographer in action.  The glass is framed in Art Deco metalwork, and there is the lovely aspect of discovering panels in the less frequented haunches of the hall (on the trackside, between the incoming staircases).  Novosblod is, I’ve been told, the favorite amongst out-of-town visitors.

Komsomolskaya Station

Komsomolskaya Station is one of palatial grandeur.  It seems both magnificent and obligatory, like the presidential palace of a colonial city.  The yellow ceiling has leafy, white concrete garland and a series of golden military mosaics accenting the tile mosaics of glorified Russian life.  Switching lines here, the hallway has an Alice-in-Wonderland feel, impossibly long with decorative tile walls, culminating in a very old station left in a remarkable state of disrepair, offering a really tangible glimpse behind the palace walls.

Dostoevskaya Station

lotro fast travel

Dostoevskaya is a tribute to the late, great hero of Russian literature .  The station at first glance seems bare and unimpressive, a stark marble platform without a whiff of reassembled chips of tile.  However, two columns have eerie stone inlay collages of scenes from Dostoevsky’s work, including The Idiot , The Brothers Karamazov , and Crime and Punishment.   Then, standing at the center of the platform, the marble creates a kaleidoscope of reflections.  At the entrance, there is a large, inlay portrait of the author.

Chkalovskaya Station

Chkalovskaya does space Art Deco style (yet again).  Chrome borders all.  Passageways with curvy overhangs create the illusion of walking through the belly of a chic, new-age spacecraft.  There are two (kos)mosaics, one at each end, with planetary subjects.  Transferring here brings you above ground, where some rather elaborate metalwork is on display.  By name similarity only, I’d expected Komsolskaya Station to deliver some kosmonaut décor; instead, it was Chkalovskaya that took us up to the space station.

Elektrozavodskaya Station

lotro fast travel

Elektrozavodskaya is full of marble reliefs of workers, men and women, laboring through the different stages of industry.  The superhuman figures are round with muscles, Hollywood fit, and seemingly undeterred by each Herculean task they respectively perform.  The station is chocked with brass, from hammer and sickle light fixtures to beautiful, angular framework up the innards of the columns.  The station’s art pieces are less clever or extravagant than others, but identifying the different stages of industry is entertaining.

Baumanskaya Statio

Baumanskaya Station is the only stop that wasn’t suggested by the students.  Pulling in, the network of statues was just too enticing: Out of half-circle depressions in the platform’s columns, the USSR’s proud and powerful labor force again flaunts its success.  Pilots, blacksmiths, politicians, and artists have all congregated, posing amongst more Art Deco framing.  At the far end, a massive Soviet flag dons the face of Lenin and banners for ’05, ’17, and ‘45.  Standing in front of the flag, you can play with the echoing roof.

Ploshchad Revolutsii Station

lotro fast travel

Novokuznetskaya Station

Novokuznetskaya Station finishes off this tour, more or less, where it started: beautiful mosaics.  This station recalls the skyward-facing pieces from Mayakovskaya (Station #2), only with a little larger pictures in a more cramped, very trafficked area.  Due to a line of street lamps in the center of the platform, it has the atmosphere of a bustling market.  The more inventive sky scenes include a man on a ladder, women picking fruit, and a tank-dozer being craned in.  The station’s also has a handsome black-and-white stone mural.

Here is a map and a brief description of our route:

Start at (1)Kievskaya on the “ring line” (look for the squares at the bottom of the platform signs to help you navigate—the ring line is #5, brown line) and go north to Belorusskaya, make a quick switch to the Dark Green/#2 line, and go south one stop to (2)Mayakovskaya.  Backtrack to the ring line—Brown/#5—and continue north, getting off at (3)Novosblodskaya and (4)Komsolskaya.  At Komsolskaya Station, transfer to the Red/#1 line, go south for two stops to Chistye Prudy, and get on the Light Green/#10 line going north.  Take a look at (5)Dostoevskaya Station on the northern segment of Light Green/#10 line then change directions and head south to (6)Chkalovskaya, which offers a transfer to the Dark Blue/#3 line, going west, away from the city center.  Have a look (7)Elektroskaya Station before backtracking into the center of Moscow, stopping off at (8)Baumskaya, getting off the Dark Blue/#3 line at (9)Ploschad Revolyutsii.  Change to the Dark Green/#2 line and go south one stop to see (10)Novokuznetskaya Station.

Touring the Top 10 Moscow Metro Stations

By Claudia Looi 2 Comments

Komsomolskaya metro station

Komsomolskaya metro station looks like a museum. It has vaulted ceilings and baroque decor.

Hidden underground, in the heart of Moscow, are historical and architectural treasures of Russia. These are Soviet-era creations – the metro stations of Moscow.

Our guide Maria introduced these elaborate metro stations as “the palaces for the people.” Built between 1937 and 1955, each station holds its own history and stories. Stalin had the idea of building beautiful underground spaces that the masses could enjoy. They would look like museums, art centers, concert halls, palaces and churches. Each would have a different theme. None would be alike.

The two-hour private tour was with a former Intourist tour guide named Maria. Maria lived in Moscow all her life and through the communist era of 60s to 90s. She has been a tour guide for more than 30 years. Being in her 60s, she moved rather quickly for her age. We traveled and crammed with Maria and other Muscovites on the metro to visit 10 different metro stations.

Moscow subways are very clean

To Maria, every street, metro and building told a story. I couldn’t keep up with her stories. I don’t remember most of what she said because I was just thrilled being in Moscow.   Added to that, she spilled out so many Russian words and names, which to one who can’t read Cyrillic, sounded so foreign and could be easily forgotten.

The metro tour was the first part of our all day tour of Moscow with Maria. Here are the stations we visited:

1. Komsomolskaya Metro Station  is the most beautiful of them all. Painted yellow and decorated with chandeliers, gold leaves and semi precious stones, the station looks like a stately museum. And possibly decorated like a palace. I saw Komsomolskaya first, before the rest of the stations upon arrival in Moscow by train from St. Petersburg.

2. Revolution Square Metro Station (Ploshchad Revolyutsii) has marble arches and 72 bronze sculptures designed by Alexey Dushkin. The marble arches are flanked by the bronze sculptures. If you look closely you will see passersby touching the bronze dog's nose. Legend has it that good luck comes to those who touch the dog's nose.

3. Arbatskaya Metro Station served as a shelter during the Soviet-era. It is one of the largest and the deepest metro stations in Moscow.

7. Kurskaya Metro Station was one of the first few to be built in Moscow in 1938. It has ceiling panels and artwork showing Soviet leadership, Soviet lifestyle and political power. It has a dome with patriotic slogans decorated with red stars representing the Soviet's World War II Hall of Fame. Kurskaya Metro Station is a must-visit station in Moscow.

as a FTP player you can play the game up til Helms Deep for free, now you want them to give you swift travel as well., Swift Travel is a perk to those who pay to support the game. It should not be given to everyone.

I don't see an issue with giving Swift travel free to players, given some other MMOs fast travel is free, I fail to see a good reason why it shouldn't be in lotro, main reason is one month of VIP unlocks Swift travel on characters (who logged in during VIP time) forever, if you like the idea of it being a VIP thing, then swift travel should be VIP only and never carry over to F2P, but the fact it does open the door to possibly just giving it free.

Sorry, do not agree with this at all. SSG needs an income to stay alive, so yeah I agree with swift travel being for ViPs.

At least something valuable must be VIP exclusive. They spread a lot of things from VIP and give them to everyone, but something must stay VIP/Premium. Even swift travel for premium characters huge step forward and it's enough

As others have stated, Swift Travel should remain as a Perk for a Current VIP or Past VIP for those Characters logged in during VIP Status. Just using the USD amount, it's a 1 Time - $14.99 USD for a 1 Month Subscription to then get Lifetime Swift Travel for any Characters logged during your VIP Sub. Completely worth it, it is a small "Extra" Support to The Lord of the Rings Online and Standing Stone Games and even if it doesn't seem like it, every bit of Money the Community "Collectively" spends helps ensure not only LOTRO but DDO continues to have a Development Team working on these MMOs. LOTRO offers plenty of ways to play nearly 99% Free without spending any form of Money and it's been in that state since September 2010, having a few things that are a "Money-only" aspect is completely reasonable.

Well, the problem is not "Is Swift Travel VIP/ex-VIP only or not?". The two main reasons I see VIP as a valuable investment as far as my game experience is concerned is a) mobile services like mail/vault/ah b) rest xp blue bar which is very helpful when levelling up a new alt. I spent my first two years of playing Lotro without Swift Travel and it was ok. Of course, the game world was much smaller when I started. If you have only Eriador and Moria and a newly added Southern Mirkwood, it is entirely possible to do all and everything with slow travel. Today though, for example getting from Bree to Minas Tirith, I imagine it would take longer than I would want to wait.

egarthur said: While I understand the whole "exclusivity" idea, I often wonder if making at least some swift-travel unlocks available for LP, account-wide, would be a smart idea. Remember, the magic MMORPG moneyball formula is: give users a taste of something they get hooked the hook drags in the cash Right now, Swift Travel is almost completely an all-or-nothing thing (the only exceptions that come to mind, being certain starter-zones, and festival-related routes). If F2P players were to get a bigger taste of Swift Travel, in lower-level zones, say, for example, to turn Everswim into Everboatride, maybe they'd be tempted to abandon the "bragging rights" of F2P, and spring for at least a month of VIP (thus becoming Premium). The only risk I see is that really hardcore F2Pers might want to grind enough LP to get all of the Swift Travel routes, without paying any real money. But that can be solved either by keeping some routes VIP-exclusive, or making higher-level routes really expensive (expensive enough that grinding enough LP for the route would not be worth it). Another way to give F2P players a "taste" of Swift Travel, without making it easily farmable, is to offer those Writs of Special Passage as bonus rewards for various non-repeatable quests. Make them character-bound so they can't be "farmed" by creating and deleting alts. Click to expand...

I think having no Swift Travel in areas such as Cardolan and Swanfleet is detrimental to player enjoyment. If you just bought the expansion as a new player, and then had to also buy VIP to be able to skip running all over the map several times, you might be so disappointed that you leave the game. Sure VIP should offer benefits, if Swift Travel becomes free, VIP can be given other benefits. Overall I don't mind Swift Travel being a VIP thing, you can buy it once and travel swift forever on those characters, but I do think it would be good if it was free in Cardolan and Swanfleet.

Mistlos

I think Swift Travel should unlock permanently for a minimum of $_ spent on the account. A minimum of $15 if the additional bags are also unlocked. If ever Swift Travel becomes free for everyone, maybe make it so that Free/Premium accounts still need to unlock Stable-master Routes but VIPs can access all routes from the beginning, so VIPs can freely tour across Middle-earth. Maybe even require Free/Premium players to need the old Travelling Rations again. :3

If you advertise the game as being Free to Play then customers should be allowed to do just that.

Stormcrow

Additional class, race, and virtue trait slots are now free for F2P players. F2P also no longer has a gold cap and has Moors access for freeps. Swift travel should join the ranks.

Arnenna

Defender of the Great Apes

I've always held the opinion that travelling around in a game, should be an integral part of the game, included for all players. I advocated for years for a free basic riding skill, like a really long time, and now we finally have one for newcomers. There is always the Journeyman riding skill package in the store to make some revenue. Players should be able to travel to all regions of Middle-earth, quickly and easily in order to play the content. There is still the stable master under collections to generate income from those who don't want to find an in-world stable master.

Yet somehow in MMOs long gone it was the all part of the deal to arrive at the dungeon via the landscape that made the whole endeavour a much more memorable achievement. It's the players asking for quicker means that makes it all far less memorable ofc.

Russia establishes special site to fabricate fuel for China’s CFR-600

!{Model.Description}

A special production site to fabricate fuel for China’s CFR-600 fast reactor under construction has been established at Russia’s Mashinostroitelny Zavod (MSZ - Machine-Building Plant) in Elektrostal (Moscow region), part of Rosatom’s TVEL Fuel Company.

As part of the project, MSZ had upgraded existing facilities fo the production of fuel for fast reactors, TVEL said on 3 March. Unique equipment has been created and installed, and dummy CFR-600 fuel assemblies have already been manufactured for testing.

The new production site was set up to service an export contract between TVEL and the Chinese company CNLY (part of China National Nuclear Corporation - CNNC) for the supply of uranium fuel for CFR-600 reactors. Construction of the first CFR-600 unit started in Xiapu County, in China's Fujian province in late 2017 followed by the second unit in December 2020. The contract is for the start-up fuel load, as well as refuelling for the first seven years. The start of deliveries is scheduled for 2023.

“The Russian nuclear industry has a unique 40 years of experience in operating fast reactors, as well as in the production of fuel for such facilities,” said TVEL President Natalya Nikipelova. “The Fuel Division of Rosatom is fulfilling its obligations within the framework of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the development of fast reactor technologies. These are unique projects when foreign design fuel is produced in Russia. Since 2010, the first Chinese fast neutron reactor CEFR has been operating on fuel manufactured at the Machine-Building Plant, and for the supply of CFR-600 fuel, a team of specialists from MSZ and TVEL has successfully completed a complex high-tech project to modernise production,” she explained.

A special feature of the new section is its versatility: this equipment will be used to produce fuel intended for both the Chinese CFR-600 and CEFR reactors and the Russian BN-600 reactor of the Beloyarsk NPP. In the near future, the production of standard products for the BN-600 will begin.

The contract for the supply of fuel for the CFR-600 was signed in December 2018 as part of a governmental agreement between Russia and China on cooperation in the construction and operation of a demonstration fast neutron reactor in China. This is part of a wider comprehensive programme of cooperation in the nuclear energy sector over the coming decades. This includes serial construction of the latest Russian NPP power units with generation 3+ VVER-1200 reactors at two sites in China (Tianwan and Xudabao NPPs). A package of intergovernmental documents and framework contracts for these projects was signed in 2018 during a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
