Take a Tour of Lucas Oil Stadium

Did you know? Lucas Oil Stadium now offers public tours of the facility Monday through Friday, typically at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm. If you’re looking for a behind-the-scenes peek at one of the country’s top sports venues, you’ve come to the right place. During the 90-minute tour , guests will have the opportunity to visit the actual playing field, press box, locker room, and more. In the ‘Bud Light Fan Zone’, if the window is down, you have arguably one of the best views of downtown in the city – from a football stadium!

Imported Image

The tour will take you on a journey and teach you a thing or two as well. I may be biased, but if you happen to have George as your tour guide, it just might be the best tour you’ve ever been on. George showed us the ups and the downs but also threw in his personal touches and made every turn exciting. He taught us fun facts regarding the history of the franchise, the city and Lucas Oil Stadium, as well as legends of celebrity appearances and knock your socks off jokes.

Football's Back

Did you know more than 350 kegs of beer are sold in a single game? That’s a lot of liquid to go along with the 5,500 hotdogs and over 6,000 bags of peanuts. Any idea how much popcorn is consumed during a Colts game? Or the number of media that fit in the press box? Maybe you want to know which locker is Andrew Lucks or which elevator the celebrities take to get into the suites. Looks like you’re going to have to take a tour to find out!

Cost is $10 for adults and $7 for seniors and kids and tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com . For more info, click here .

Taylor Swift stares into the camera from the stage.

There’s no time like the present, Swifties.

On April 19, Taylor Swift dropped her 11th studio album “The Tortured Poet’s Department.” As expected, the 34-year-old singer-songwriter became the internet’s main character.

Some raved about the sprawling, ambitious double album; others criticized the record for its length, subject matter and lyrics.

All we know is that in the seven days that have passed, ticket prices to see Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ live have plummeted for most of her concerts in Europe.

Based on our findings, most shows have seats available that are significantly cheaper than they cost just a week ago.

In fact, some tickets are over $1,000 less than they were on April 19 already.

While it’s not the case for her U.S. and Canada gigs — where prices have mostly stayed flat or slowly risen — we’d argue it might be in your best interest to book tickets to an overseas ‘Eras Tour’ concert given this cooldown.

Want to find out how much tickets cost for ‘Eras Tour’ concerts versus what they were going for on April 19?

We’ve got everything you need to know and more about Taylor Swift’s 2024 tour below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Taylor Swift 2024 tickets

A complete calendar including all upcoming tour dates, venues, and the best ticket prices for all concerts versus what they cost on April 19 can be found here.

*The lower ticket price is in bold.

(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. All prices are in US dollars, subject to fluctuation and include additional fees at checkout .)

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.

Taylor Swift set list

While Swift is known for dropping a surprise song or two into her shows, the tracks stay surprisingly consistent for most gigs (although that will likely change in the wake of “TTPD’s” release).

Taylor Swift ‘Eras Tour’ news

Our team has been following the ‘Eras Tour’ closely over the past year.

Over the past few months, we spoke to a Swiftie who  shared some helpful tips  about seeing Taylor live and  came up with a list of all the most exciting fan trends .

Taylor Swift new music

As noted above, Swift’s  “The Tortured Poets Department”  was released at midnight (and subsequently at 2 a.m.) on Friday, April 19.

While every listener will likely come away with their own favorites, we particularly enjoyed the sleek, synth-y “Fortnight,” icy “So Long, London,” anthemic “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” bombastic slow build of “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and gorgeously arranged “Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus.”

If you want to give it a spin — if you haven’t already, that is — you can find “The Tortured Poets Department”  here .

Taylor Swift opening acts

Taylor only has two opening acts lined up for the ‘Eras Tour’ this year.

Here’s what you need to know about her well-established special guests.

Paramore  will play alongside Swift after mounting a massive 2023 tour of their own. The group, fronted by lead singer Hayley Williams, reunited in 2022 after a five-year hiatus. For fans that want to check out their latest, you can listen to “This Is Why,” their sixth studio album, which dropped in February 2023.

Gracie Abrams , the daughter of film director JJ Abrams and producer Katie McGrath, is a star in her own right. Her song “I miss you, I’m sorry” has upwards of 100 million streams on Spotify, she opened for Olivia Rodrigo on the 2022 “Sour Tour” and headlined her own tour last spring as well.

Huge stars on tour in 2024

Although it will cost an arm and a leg (sometimes more!) to see Swift live this year, there are much more affordable concerts you can attend this year.

Here are just five of our favorite artists you won’t want to miss live.

•  Olivia Rodrigo

•  Kacey Musgraves

•  Pink

•  Chappell Roan

•  Alanis Morissette

Who else is on the road this year? Check out our list of the  50 biggest concert tours in 2024  to find out.

2024 NFL Draft: Day 1 recap of first-round picks

By Faris Tanyos

Updated on: April 26, 2024 / 12:21 AM EDT / CBS News

The worst kept secret in the NFL finally came to fruition Thursday as the Chicago Bears selected highly-touted USC quarterback Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft .

But the theme of the first round was the run on quarterbacks. An unprecedented six of the first 12 picks were quarterbacks, an NFL Draft record. The first 14 selections were offensive players, also a draft record, with no defensive players being taken until the Indianapolis Colts selected UCLA defensive end Laiatu Latu at No. 15.

The Bears and their long-suffering fans hope Williams, the 22-year-old phenom, will finally bring them much-needed stability at the quarterback position, which has been in flux since the days of Jim McMahon in the 1980s.

To make way for Williams, Chicago  traded away quarterback Justin Fields last month to the Pittsburgh Steelers after the No. 11 pick in the 2021 draft failed to meet the lofty expectations that were set for him. The Bears immediately sought to give Williams a weapon, selecting Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze with the No. 9 pick.

In honor of Detroit hosting the draft , NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell trotted out rapper Eminem and Lions legend Barry Sanders to kick off the festivities. More than 275,000 people attended the draft Thursday, according to Goodell, a record for the event.

2024 NFL Draft - Round 1

This year's draft is one of the deepest in years at the quarterback, offensive tackle and wide receiver positions, in part due to the pandemic, which spurred many players to extend their college careers. Nine offensive linemen and seven wide receivers went off the board Thursday. In total, 23 offensive players and only nine defensive players were selected in the first round.

The top of the draft went chalk, with quarterbacks as the first three selections. LSU's Jayden Daniels was taken No. 2 overall by the Washington Commanders, and the New England Patriots  selected North Carolina's Drake Maye at No. 3 to replace former first round pick Mac Jones, who was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars last month.

The Arizona Cardinals selected the first receiver with Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr. — son of his namesake, legendary Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison Sr. — to pair with talented Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray.

Following reports that the Los Angeles Chargers and new head coach Jim Harbaugh would perhaps trade down, the Bolts instead stood pat, taking Notre Dame offensive tackle Joe Alt in an effort to improve an offensive line that has struggled to protect franchise quarterback Justin Herbert.

The first major surprise was provided by the Atlanta Falcons, who even though they had signed veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins in the offseason, selected Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. with the No. 8 pick. Penix was not expected to go until late in the first round, due in part to injury concerns.

The Minnesota Vikings — Cousins' former home — conducted the first trade of the night, swapping picks with the New York Jets to move up from 11 to 10 to select quarterback J.J. McCarthy, who led Michigan to a national title in January.

The surprises culminated with the Denver Broncos — who also in search for help at quarterback after cutting Russell Wilson — selected seasoned 24-year-old Oregon quarterback Bo Nix at No. 12. Nix started 61 games over his college career, according to CBS Colorado, more than any other NCAA quarterback ever.

Rounds two and three of the draft will be held Friday, and rounds four through seven on Saturday.

Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.

What is the kremlin in russia?

The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.

And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.

During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.

There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.

First refuelling for Russia’s Akademik Lomonosov floating NPP

!{Model.Description}

lucas oil stadium tour

The FNPP includes two KLT-40S reactor units. In such reactors, nuclear fuel is not replaced in the same way as in standard NPPs – partial replacement of fuel once every 12-18 months. Instead, once every few years the entire reactor core is replaced with and a full load of fresh fuel.

The KLT-40S reactor cores have a number of advantages compared with standard NPPs. For the first time, a cassette core was used, which made it possible to increase the fuel cycle to 3-3.5 years before refuelling, and also reduce by one and a half times the fuel component in the cost of the electricity produced. The operating experience of the FNPP provided the basis for the design of the new series of nuclear icebreaker reactors (series 22220). Currently, three such icebreakers have been launched.

The Akademik Lomonosov was connected to the power grid in December 2019, and put into commercial operation in May 2020.

Electricity generation from the FNPP at the end of 2023 amounted to 194 GWh. The population of Pevek is just over 4,000 people. However, the plant can potentially provide electricity to a city with a population of up to 100,000. The FNPP solved two problems. Firstly, it replaced the retiring capacities of the Bilibino Nuclear Power Plant, which has been operating since 1974, as well as the Chaunskaya Thermal Power Plant, which is more than 70 years old. It also supplies power to the main mining enterprises located in western Chukotka. In September, a 490 km 110 kilovolt power transmission line was put into operation connecting Pevek and Bilibino.

Touring the Top 10 Moscow Metro Stations

By Claudia Looi 2 Comments

Komsomolskaya metro station

Komsomolskaya metro station looks like a museum. It has vaulted ceilings and baroque decor.

Hidden underground, in the heart of Moscow, are historical and architectural treasures of Russia. These are Soviet-era creations – the metro stations of Moscow.

Our guide Maria introduced these elaborate metro stations as “the palaces for the people.” Built between 1937 and 1955, each station holds its own history and stories. Stalin had the idea of building beautiful underground spaces that the masses could enjoy. They would look like museums, art centers, concert halls, palaces and churches. Each would have a different theme. None would be alike.

The two-hour private tour was with a former Intourist tour guide named Maria. Maria lived in Moscow all her life and through the communist era of 60s to 90s. She has been a tour guide for more than 30 years. Being in her 60s, she moved rather quickly for her age. We traveled and crammed with Maria and other Muscovites on the metro to visit 10 different metro stations.

Moscow subways are very clean

To Maria, every street, metro and building told a story. I couldn’t keep up with her stories. I don’t remember most of what she said because I was just thrilled being in Moscow.   Added to that, she spilled out so many Russian words and names, which to one who can’t read Cyrillic, sounded so foreign and could be easily forgotten.

The metro tour was the first part of our all day tour of Moscow with Maria. Here are the stations we visited:

1. Komsomolskaya Metro Station  is the most beautiful of them all. Painted yellow and decorated with chandeliers, gold leaves and semi precious stones, the station looks like a stately museum. And possibly decorated like a palace. I saw Komsomolskaya first, before the rest of the stations upon arrival in Moscow by train from St. Petersburg.

2. Revolution Square Metro Station (Ploshchad Revolyutsii) has marble arches and 72 bronze sculptures designed by Alexey Dushkin. The marble arches are flanked by the bronze sculptures. If you look closely you will see passersby touching the bronze dog's nose. Legend has it that good luck comes to those who touch the dog's nose.
