Ce modèle est identique à l’ancien Mythic 87 pro à part une déco différent. Enfin ! On l’attendait depuis plusieurs saisons, le petit frère du célèbre Mythic 97 est sorti en 2018/2019 sous le nom de Mythic 87 CA, renommé Mythic 87 Pro la saison dernière puis M-Tour 87 cette saison. Le principe est le même, avec un ski en construction carbone et un shape similaire.

Dynastar clarifie ses gammes freeride et rando en regroupant le tout sous la mention M-Line. Côté rando, on trouve les M-Tour (anciennement Mythic) et les M-Vertical plutôt orienté rando classique. 2 skis sont au catalogue pour la M-Tour : le M-Tour 87 qui est identique au Mythic 87 Pro de cette saison et le M-Tour 99 qui est tout nouveau et qui remplace le Mythic 97 Pro. Le M-Tour 99 pèsera 2600g la paire en 178cm. Concernant les M-Vertical, on retrouve le M-Vertical 82 et le M-Vertical 82 pro qui restent inchangés mais Dynastar rajoute un ski à 88mm au patin qui manquait à la gamme, le M-Vertical 88. Ce dernier qui a été développé avec l’aide de Vivian Bruchez pèsera 2300g la paire en 180cm.

Za dlouhým názvem se skrývají sympatické skitouringové lyže francouzského výrobce Dynastar, které svým tvarem jasně odkazují na legendární freeridové a freetouringové modely Cham. Výrazný rocker ve špičce v kombinaci s její šířkou je předurčuje do hlubšího sněhu, horších podmínek a celkově prostě na sjezd. Ale nepředbíhejme.

Co prozradil test: Lyže mají lehké dřevěné jádro z paulovnie, které je vyztuženo karbonovými vlákny. Zajímavé jsou však plnohodnotné ABS bočnice po celé délce lyží, které lépe přenáší impulsy jezdce na hrany a celkově zlepšují grip na tvrdém podkladu.

Vynikají hlavně při sjezdu. Široká špička s výrazným rockerem skvěle plave v hlubokém sněhu, mírný rocker v patě zase hlídá přílišný rebound na konci oblouku. Na tvrdším povrchu jsou lyže dostatečně stabilní a tuhé v torzi, pozor je třeba dát jen na ideální postoj na středu lyží, aby vás nevytrestala mírně rockerová pata a zároveň jste lyže zatížili už od špičky. Ale jinak se s nimi můžete pustit téměř do čehokoliv.

Při výstupu mají vzhledem ke svému tvaru tendenci trochu „šněrovat“, široká špička má pak limity v užší prošlápnuté stopě. Ale při traverzování i na tvrdém kopci se chovají ukázkově. Vykrojení totiž není nijak výrazné.

Závěr: Dynastar M-Tour 87 Ca najdou široké využití. Mohou velmi dobře posloužit jako allmountain i na upravených tratích, ale svoje místo mají ve volné přírodě, nejlépe tam, kde očekáváte kvalitní sjezdy. Při chůzi mírně naráží na limity svého specifického tvaru, ale na druhou stranu jsou příjemně lehké a obratné. Své příznivce najdou mezi těmi, kteří kromě solidní hmotnosti očekávají sjezdový výkon na úrovni užších freeridových lyží. Nejvíce doporučit je můžeme pro jednodenní túry kombinované s pěknými sjezdy.

We offer skis for sale with defects in appearance. They are new, guaranteed by the manufacturer and have no construction-manufacturing defects. The silkscreen has been scratched during transport or storage in our warehouse. The skis have been resealed after initial drilling. A condition rating has been established: this ski has been classified as 3*, i.e. it has only minor visible defects.

The M-Tour 87 CA takes the same shape that made the previous Mythic 87 Pro such a success, with a more modern construction offering great performance on both ascents and descents. It features a hybrid wood and polyurethane core, combined with basalt and carbon fibers. The whole package offers an excellent power-to-weight ratio, resulting in a ski that weighs just 1,200 grams (per batten, in size 171 cm) but still retains character.

What's on offer with the Dynastar M-Tour 87 CA ski?

Light as it is, the M-Tour lets you swallow D+ with ease, even in soft snow or peuf thanks to its chunky tip. For the descent, the M-Tour offers a fluid ride with no lack of stability. Its 87 mm runner and large front tip make it easy to get out of the way, which is excellent for enjoying great off-piste conditions. On hard snow, the grip is good, but you'll quickly feel the limits if you're looking to engage on terrain that combines steep slopes and hard snow. Torsional rigidity is satisfactory, but it's really the size and rocker of the front tip that don't give the ski the grip it needs for more committed terrain. The quid pro quo for having a ski that's both light and works well in the fresh.

The Alpinist demo 10 binding fitted to this model works in synergy with the ski for efficient power transmission and offers a wide adjustment range for all sizes.

Hey all, came across a good deal for this ski and I've been looking for a spring touring ski to pair with my zeroG 108s. I was also thinking I could quiver kill these for some inbounds groomer runs? I don't have anything in my quiver below a 95 waist currently. This would be the 178 length, which is on the shorter range of my typical skis. So anyone have thoughts on this ski?

Sounds about right. I guess it'd end up being a purely touring ski then. Probably a stretch to think I'd be able to use it as a groomer zoomer as well.

No more info? Looking at these for a dedicated touring ski. The dimensions are pretty much what I'm after. Weight is right too. But I'm curious to how they perform in soft off piste snow. Obviously theres a limit to float rfom a 87mm ski. But the lack of rear rocker has me a bit sceptical.

About the Dynastar M-Tour 87 CA

Joining the M-Line range for the 2021 season is the M-Tour range, as the name suggests these touring skis are developed to be lightweight for uphill efficiency but still able to offer an energetic and stable experience when descending back down. The narrower of the two skis in the range is the M-Tour 87 CA.

With 87mm underfoot this ski can easily provide adequate float in deep snow, and with the directional rocker of a long high tip and lower shorter tail, this ski offers a great ratio of float on powder days and grip on hard-packed surfaces. But to aid uphill ascents this ski is extremely light only weight in at 2.5kg (at 179cm). This is achieved by a unique blend of materials, the hybrid core blends paulownia wood which is 15 to 20% lighter than poplar with a polyurethane composition which again is extremely light and adds excellent shock absorbing qualities to ensure a smooth ride on descents. To add reinforcement to the ski instead of using metal or fiberglass laminates found in the M-Free and M-Pro range the M-Tour 99 uses Basalt Fibre technology. This is about 25% lighter than fiberglass but offers adequate reinforcement keeping the ski table when handling high-speed powerful maneuvers.

With a Sintered HD base for a smooth and fast ride and an adaptive sidecut for grip and performance on various terrain, the M-Tour 87 it will provide just as much enjoyment gliding over soft snow or carving on a freshly groomed piste.
