A hugely memorable trip to the beautiful North Island of Inishkea. Mick, the skipper of the boat was a super tour guide with huge local knowledge and good craic also. The islands are spectacular but like a lot of similar places have a sad story behind them. Probably one of the best value trips I have ever been on anywhere. Would highly recommend to anyone,young or old.

The whole experience was great fun. Mick was efficient, punctual and he even provided us with thick waterproof coats which were very welcome. .The trip in the boat was comfortable and life jackets were made available.. The island itself is very interesting and there are plenty of picnic spots and good walks across the island,so wear good walking shoes or trainers.Some members of the group went swimming so if you are hardy go prepared ! All in all a great experience ,there is some climbing in and out of the boat but it is manageable and Mick assists those who need help.

Mick brought us to inishkea island on a fab day! Loads to explore. We spotted two seals relaxing and seen plenty wildlife. Unspoiled and peaceful!

First, Mick at Blacksod Sea Safari worked to get us out to Inishkea Island during our stay, despite days of bad weather. If you want to get out there, you may need to be flexible. But once you are out there it’s an incredible place to explore, with a beach, ruins, beautiful views, cliffs, and rolling fields. All within a manageable walk around the island. There are no facilities, so come prepared, and pack a lunch. But you won’t be disappointed!

Without doubt one of the best things to have done in North Mayo. We travelled over to Inishkea Island with our dog Ted and it was sensational. Mick was so good at making sure we were all properly kitted out with jackets and lifejackets and of course the thrill of whizzy across the stretch of water to the island. Cannot recommend this highly enough Cheers Mick

The Croaghaun Cliffs are the highest sea cliffs in Ireland and third highest in Europe at 688 metres. The scenery surrounding these breath taking cliffs will blow you away. Experience the picturesque rock formations that make the West of Ireland unique.

How long is the ferry to the Croaghaun Cliffs?

It takes only 40 minutes to get to from Blacksod Pier to the Croaghaun Cliffs or 30 minutes from Dugort Pier to the Croaghaun Cliffs with us! We sail daily from May to September, weather dependent!

What’s included in your trip?

• 50 minute crossing to the Croaghaun Cliffs from Blacksod Pier.
• 30 minute crossing to Inishkea the Croaghaun Cliffs from Dugort Pier.
• 2-4 hour coastline tour depending on passenger preferences.

Coastline Tour Itinerary:

Enjoy the experience of the Achill and Belmullet coastline as we head for the famous Croaghaun Cliffs. Your sailing takes you past the picturesque village of Surgeview, Dugort and the Islands of Achill, Inishkea, Blackrock, Duvillian Beag & Mór, Geachta and Léim ar Reithe. Laying just beyond this, the Croaghaun Cliffs come into view as we make our towards them. Get up close to these magnificent cliffs in our 12m South boat Catamaran the ‘Kea Josh’.

Travel around the North – West Coast of Achill Island and see the beautiful rock formations that make the West of Ireland. Learn about the rich history of your surroundings with our onboard tour guide and stop for a spot of fishing along the way with the chance of catching over 39 different species of fish.
