Underground cities are literally cities build underground. Some of them are really huge – 12 stories below. They were used to hide against invaders during the war. Cappadocia has dozens of underground cities. Stout rolling-stone doors prevented invaders from entering. Deep wells provided water and tall chimneys ventilation. Wine presses, oil storage, livestock pens, cooking-places and even elaborate churches were carved out of the rock so that the inhabitants could live for weeks or months underground until it was safe to emerge and return to their ground-level villages. After the Underground City Tour, a visit to a Pottery Shop will end the Day 1 Tour. Or you can opt to avail an optional tour, the Whirling Dervish & Local Show at Cave comes with unlimited drinks!

The Ephesus Site is an ancient Greek city which later becomes a major Roman city. On the west coast of Asia Minor the Ephesus is situated, then stroll past the Celsius Library, the Temple Of Hadrian and the Trajan Fountain in the Ancient Ephesus. After walking on the historical marble street the Great Theater where St. Paul preached is actually found at the end. Then transfer to the restaurant for a local lunch. After lunch, continue the tour to the Shrine of Mother Mary (House of Virgin Mary), it is believed where she spent recent years of her life. Temple Of Artemis (Diana), on the side of one of the seven wonders of ancient World. The Kusadasi Tour usually ends with a Leather Fashion show that will definitely bring more fun to the tourists. 

A VISIT TO PAMUKKALE

Take a morning drive to Pamukkale which means the ‘Cotton Fortress’ in English. It is once known as Hierapolis, famous for healing thermal/mineral baths and beautiful snow-white ‘petrified waterfalls’. After a local lunch, proceed to Hierapolis Ancient Site. This includes the magnificently preserved Necropolis, the main Street and Gates, the thermal Baths, the devil’s hole, and Masterpiece Theater. Pamukkale terraces are made of travertine, a sedimentary rock deposited by water from the hot springs. In this area, there are 17 hot water springs in which the temperature ranges from 35-degree Celsius to 100-degree Celcius.  The water that emerges from the spring is transported 320 meters (1,050 ft.) to the head of the travertine terraces and deposits calcium carbonate with a section 60 to 70 meters long covering an expanse of 240 meters to 300 meters.

Note: According to the Republic of Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, only the Nationals of the Philippines holding diplomatic and official/service passports are exempt from the visa requirement, which allows up to 30 days of travel.

How to apply for a Turkish e-Visa

Ordinary Philippine passport holders are required to have a visa to enter Turkey. Individuals may obtain their 30-day single-entry e-visa via the website www.evisa.gov.tr , provided they have a valid Schengen, members of USA, UK, Ireland visa, or residence permit.

What are the requirements?

• A valid Schengen/USA/UK/Ireland visa or residence permit
• A passport or a travel document with an expiration date at least 60 days beyond the duration of stay of their visa

These requirements are in accordance with article 7.1b of “the Law on Foreigners and International Protection” no. 6458.

How do I send my application?

Once you have the requirements, you may begin the application process here .

How do I pay for my e-Visa?

The e-Visa fee is in US dollars. Individuals can only make payments by Mastercard, Visa, and UnionPay credit or debit card. Payment must be made within 48 hours . Otherwise, the application will time out.

How do I get a copy of my e-Visa?

After making payment, applicants will receive a link to download the e-Visa via e-mail. It will already be verified at ports of entry but the Ministry advises keeping a soft and/or hard copy of the e-Visa in case of a system failure.

Requirements to travel to Turkey from Philippines

Beginning June 1, 2022, Turkey has already removed its proof of vaccination as an entry requirement. Both vaccinated and vaccinated travelers may enter the republic. As of writing, these are the requirements individuals need to present:

TERMS and CONDITIONS

1.By settling the down-payment, the client agrees to the company’s terms and conditions.

2.Non-refundable $700 per person to reserve. Upon acknowledgement of deposit receipt, booking is considered confirmed and final. Cancellation can no longer be processed.

3.The Package is non-refundable and cannot be rebooked. No refund for any unused tours, transportations, hotels and flights. *Rebooking can only be processed in the event of natural calamities and force majeure (war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial disputes, terrorist activity, epidemics and pandemics), or mandated government cancellations. Refund is not an option.

4. Full payment must be settled within 45 days before the departure date. As the deadline for payment is already stated.  The company reserves the right to cancel the booking without prior notice. Deposit will be forfeited.

5. In the event of sudden adjustment with the flight schedule made by the airline, the clients are expected to follow the new set schedule.

6. Visa is applied 90 days before the departure date. In case denied, 50% of the guaranteed deposit amount can be refunded 30 days before the departure date. Late request for refund leads to forfeited deposit.

7. Passports should be valid for six (6) months before the travel dates.

Same problem with very poor food. Gluten free options can taste great, there is not reason to be give suboptimal meals in this situation.

The food on this flight was just terrible. I have a wheat allergy so when booking I ask for gluten free options. The food given was inedible. The bread rolls were rock hard. Once board I was given one and the only thing I could do was eat the chicken slice and piece of tomato on it. Also given was 4 small cubes of fruit, 2 watermelon and 2 pineapple and a bottle of water. My husband had a regular meal and found his very average. Then the evening meal was also disappointing! Some dried out fish with spinach and 3 sticks of dry white sweet potato. No sauce …. 😳 again, the same fruit and water. The passengers had to wait a long time for the dinner food to be served. My husband just wanted to eat and go to sleep so he was a bit annoyed about that. We got off the plane and I was feeling quite hangry. Not enough food or a good eating experience. Emirates used to be a flight we looked forward to… now we are considering looking at other companies for the future.

Flights were both delayed. No luggage on arrival for the whole plane and no contact since submitting a PIR.

Nice selection of movies and TV shows. Plane was generally nice, not the newest but nice nonetheless. However, Emirates should have cancelled the flight, as hardly any flights flew out of Dubai at the time. Flight delays and cancellation was poorly communicated and passengers were left guessing and to their own devices on what to do. Connection desks were staffed too thinly, there was one desk with more than a hundred clients and just one poor lady. When I had my flights rebooked, I was told meal vouchers can be scanned using my boarding pass, nope. Was told to comeback for my hotel voucher, none. Had to book my hotel voucher the usual way through Dubai Connect despite having been told twice to comeback to the counters twice.

The lounge Emirates uses at Jeddah airport is horrible even with the opening of the new section. Food selection is poor and never enough seating . Staff are not friendly. Boarding process at Jeddah always an absolute mess

The air hostess spilled tomato juice on me by mistake in Mumbai -Dubai flight. I was traveling from Mumbai to UAD. Her senior came and offered couple of small chocolates (probably given in business class) as compensation. I asked for access to lounge as I had to travel till IAD and I could shower and change. But she said she cannot do that and did nothing further. I found the response to their mistake as inappropriate.

I liked theAVML food. Taste was alright and quantity was enough. Sometimes during the flight I felt that the smell from toilet was coming to the cabin

This booking was as a result of stolen identity and hacking my debit account. I reported it to my bank. The thief tried to book two flights, maybe more. Hopefully, Kayak will be able to block fraudulent bookings and charges better in the future.

Entertainment on all 4 business class seats were terrible audio and could barley hear. The 11 hour layover in Riyadh was a nightmare and no one told us that nightmare matter what we do or what we were willing to pay there were no places to rest or sleep and nine of the lounges allow you to enter them no matter what unless you are 4 hours or less from flight time. With a 78 yearold mother with me this is ridiculous. The employees of the airline in Riyadh and of the lounge treated us like servants or lower class people. Never again

Thw pla e was freezing by dar the cildest flight i’ve been on. The seats are comfortable the leg room is spacious and the seat is in leather very confy. Unfortunately old plane so no plugs the entertainment is limited the inflight internet is very expensive 20$ per hour for 50mb on a 17h you will take 2 times to contact your family and work. At this cost it goes very quick very high. The food is very mediocre A breakfast tastless A snack A meal super spicy A lot of improvement are to be made

Entertainment for non Arabic speakers is very limited. Seats were comfortable. Seat map while booking showed 2-2-2 config, but the flight had 1-2-1..

The seats’ reclined like premium economy seats, ie, not much.. but leg space was a lot l, so it did not feel cramped. Crew was very friendly and helpful.

I was in business class, without the business class amenities. Large seat with lots of legroom, but no TV or bed. Food was okay, but I did enjoy the Turkish red wine.

The seat did not recline and we called the stewardess, he forced it to recline, but when we landed, it did not come forward because the seat was broken. The stewardess came, He tried to do it but couldn't do it, the flight commander came and spoke to us in a bad tone, telling us to get out of here, she waited at the head and acted as if there was a child and we couldn't get up, it was very shameful, I don't even know if it's true, but she said if you don't get up, the plane will not land and will keep turning around. Then a passenger pushed the seat from behind and it worked. Then we wanted to talk to the supervisor again, but she did not come next to us. We fly so much and this is the first time we encountered such a style.

It was a nightmare. I booked business class ticket from Ediburgh to Beirut via Istanbul to attend a funeral. I had a wonderful experience flying to Istanbul from Edinburgh. Then I could not get a boarding pass issued to Beirut. It seems that although they booked me and I had a reservation number, I had no seat allocated and the flight was full. I was asked to go from one desk to another and made to wait for 2 hours. I missed my flight as I did not have a seat assigned and it was full. The only option was to put me on the next flight, 6 hours later, for a fee of over $400. They said that was the best they can do to 'help me' and to 'take it or leave it'. Well, I was not about to be bullied; I stood my ground. I booked and paid premium for the journey, which was confirmed. The eventually accepted to not charge me extra and i waited a total of over 8 hours in the airport with no compensation. On top of my grief with the risk of missing the funeral service, I had to put up with their indifference and condescending attitude. They spoke about me in Turkish thinking I would not understand (I hold a British passport) in front of me. When they eventually handed my passport and boarding pass back to me, I showed them I was born in Istanbul and that I understood everything and said a condescending 'thank you' back to them in Turkish. You should have seen their faces. I said that consumers have rights and it is a shame that Turkish Airlines does not have good customer service to at least acknowledge and apologize for errors committed by the airline. Blaming the me, the client, for such an error and placing unreasonable ultimatums, rudeness and dismissiveness to be rid of me, particularly when I was vulnerable and visibly grieving was really shocking... The airline taints the city of Istanbul and the people of Türkiye. Such a shame.

Was not able to check in online, so had to stand in line for 90 minutes to get a boarding pass, and I had no luggage to check. Why not let people check in in advance on line? Or at a kiosk at the airport?

It has been a couple of years since I flew with Etihad last, after having a unpleasant experience with them coming out of the pandemic. I can say that the experience has uplifted, but I can’t really rate the service. At Barcelona airport the service was great, with their dedicated Etihad staff very helpful. The onboard experience wasn’t great, not very personalised and it really makes sense why Etihad doesn’t feature in the top 10 2023 Skytrax awards. The crew just seemed to be inattentive and almost absent from the cabin. I felt that I had to keep getting their attention. Even after I’d finished my meal, an hour went by before I had to call them to clear the tray/plate etc.

In my opinion, Etihad Airways is a first rate airline except for one important element. On the day before my return flights, when I chose my seats on the Etihad website I was charged an additional $55 (US) in order to sit on the aisle. I was not at all happy about this additional "hidden" charge and I felt cheated.

One thing is very important is you people not giving seat arrangement together to couple, senior citizen. You have to take care of senior citizen. Do not look about money. Money is not important everywhere. Make relationship strong is very very important. I like Etiyad air line out of all air line. Food was hot and delicious. Air hostess gave very good service, nice attitude, very good behaviour. I gave 10 out of 10 marks. Thanks Jivraj

Etihad broke my suitcase Also over charged me for luggage

Entertainment did not work from flight from Abu Dhabi to Kolkata. Emirates has a much better flight in that sector.

Very unfriendly team. It was very difficult to get a cup of coffee. Legroom was extremely small. Old, dilapidated plane.

Food was very good. Again tray could use a non-skid mat. I had a regular seat - comfortable - able to sleep undisturbed. Boarding was uneventful.

Boarding was quick and efficient. Ground staff were pleasant and courteous. Food was tasty, portions were good for me. Food containers kept slipping on the tray. Tray would look better with an anti-skid tray mat. I had the bulkhead seat which was very uncomfortable for couple of reasons. Aircraft is designed with no throughput to move across aisle to aisle. Passengers kept jumping over my legs to get from one side to the other to use the toilet. Secondly I had a mother and 9 month baby next to me. Mom had to hold baby for 12 hours in her lap as he did not fit into the bassinet. Half the baby was on my lap during the flight. Aircraft temperature was very cold - light attendant said it was the central cooling and nothing could be done about it. Movie selection was very poor old and outdated.

Crew did not cooperate… I just asked water twice for one crew member and she didn’t get anything.. and when I asked other crew member he gave me water and he was not respectful.. I kept Hindu non veg meal chicken .. when I get my turn chicken was not provided and then they gave me veg paneer and green peas curry which I don’t like..

Sits are very uncomfortable and food quality should be improved. Alcohol you have to ask and wait for more then 1/2 hrs. Don’t feel like to travel in Etihad. It was 1st time we traveled in Etihad now we decided we don’t want to travel in Etihad.

For the price we paid, I couldn’t complain. Was good value for money. Service was excellent but food was mediocre. Crew were excellent and spoke English. You will never go hungry. The food was ample but was mediocre. Entertainment limited and wifi doesn’t all allow you to access some social media. The best part was comfortable seats and bed (business class) with a screen to close out the rest of the cabin.

Good airline for the price. The Air stewardess are great, nothing is to much trouble. Will use again.

Cheapest option from Gatwick £400 cheaper than Emirates and Qatar. Entertainment no where near as good as Emirates and Qatar, but saved £400 so all good.

Great staff and food. Seats pretty uncomfortable but plenty of legroom. Entertainment system outdated.

The flight was cancelled without any reason. But the next flight to Shanghai has to be cancelled to pay penalty.

We were cutting it close on our connecting flight and notified all staff at departing gate and flight attendants. From the start, we were told to check in with the international transfer desk by everyone, except for one lady who wanted to argue the time difference that was already taken into account. We also asked if we could try to exit the plane first (our family of 4 and 8 others on the same connecting flight). They just told us to check in with international transfers. We landed and had very little time to make our next flight. We were not offered any assistance or communication to the receiving gate. We ran all the way to the international transfers gate only to be turned away. I think we could have made it if we were allowed to exit and a call was made to other check in counter. After that we spent 6 grueling hours with our kids trying to rebook a flight. No food of any type of compensation was offered besides a dirty hotel room. The ladies with China Eastern at the Shanghai International counter were rude an unhelpful. We were directed to 3 different counters and waited before they said they forgot about a hotel. It was a long, miserable day. I believe this could have all been avoided.

Flight was fine, however we were not able to check in online, this adds to travel stress. Luckily check-in at Heathrow was quick, but we did not get the seats we paid extra for. We paid for a window and 2 aisle seats from Shanghai to Tokyo leg, but they changed us to middle seats. Not good :(

Again, I was presented with birthday pastries two times as a celebrated my birthday on both legs of my trip. I will keep flying to China using China Eastern airlines. As they made this trip a special one thank you.

Couldn’t fly since they wouldn’t issue a boarding ticket. Something to do with not taking the departing flight since it was cancelled due to weather. No notice or anything about the trip being invalid. The app made it seem like I was all good for it. Never trusting travel agency

Multiple delays, with no explanation. Caused us to almost miss our connector. The airline made no effort when we arrived in Shanghai to help us make it to our next flight with the same airline.

TURKEY E-VISA: Requirements + How to Apply Online

Okay, let’s go straight to the point.

Not everyone is eligible to apply for a Turkish e-visa. It is only available to those who have a valid visa or residence permit from the United States (USA), the United Kingdom (UK), Ireland, or any Schengen country.

If you’re not holding a valid visa from any of the mentioned countries , I’m afraid you will have to apply for a sticker visa at the Turkish Embassy. Unfortunately, I can’t be of much help regarding that because I didn’t get to experience it. All I know is that the application begins by filling out this form: Turkey Visa Application Form .

If you’re holding a valid US/UK/Ireland/Schengen visa or residence permit, read on . Here are the steps to get a visa completely online!

The process is the same for all these nationalities including Filipinos, although they might be a few changes in the prerequisites and duration of validity so please pay attention to details during your application.

1. Visit Turkey’s E-Visa Application Website.

The address is: www.evisa.gov.tr/en/ .

Once it loads, enter your country, passport type, and security verification code.

2. Enter your travel date.

Your travel date must be within the next 3 months. You won’t be able to choose a date beyond that.

If you’re traveling over three months from now, you will have to wait until your travel date becomes clickable.

The validity of the e-visa will also be displayed. For example, in my case, since I’m holding a Philippine passport, my visa will be valid for 6 months (180 days), which means I can enter Turkey anytime within that period. Not to be confused with the allowed “length of stay”, which is only 30 days. Again, that means I can enter Turkey within the next 6 months, but once I do, I can only remain there not longer than 30 days.

3. Make sure you meet all the requirements.

The next page will display the list of prerequisites. You must meet ALL these requirements and be able to present them on your day of travel . Do not lie. Even if you’re granted an e-visa now, they may still deny you entry if you miss any of the following.

• You have a valid passport that covers your travel period. (In PH case, your passport must also have at least 6-month validity.)
• A return ticket.
• Hotel reservation.
• Funds of at least USD 50 per day of your stay in Turkey.
• Valid supporting document. This may be a valid visa or residence permit from the US, UK, Ireland, or any Schengen country. In case I haven’t emphasized it enough, the visa has to be valid . It must also be in physical sticker form, not electronic. E-visas, even if they’re valid, will not be accepted. You will be showing it when you enter the country.

You won’t be submitting the return ticket or hotel reservation online or at any point during your application. You will be presenting these (and the supporting document) to the Immigration Officers at the airport upon entering the country.

E-visas are available for tourism and business purposes only.

4. Complete the Application Form.

On the next page, fill out the short form with your personal details. It is important that you enter information exactly as they appear on your passport.

In case the info on your passport doesn’t match that on your e-visa, the e-visa will be considered void, so be very careful in typing your details.

When you click Save and Continue , you will be asked to verify the info you entered. Make sure you double check that the details are exactly as they are on your passport.

Click Verify .

5. Check Your Email.

You should receive an email asking you to verify your application. Click Approve.

If you don’t receive an email, check your Spam or Junk folder.

6. Make payment.

When you click Approve on your email, you will be taken to the payment page. Fill out the short form and pay.

The price of the visa is USD 20 , payable using MasterCard, Visa, or UnionPay credit card.

7. Download your e-Visa.

Once the transaction is completed, you will be taken to a page that will tell you that the process is over and that the e-visa is ready for download. Click Download your E-Visa and you’ll get a PDF file. Print it out and voila! There’s your e-visa. The same file will be emailed to you separately.

When I used it, the first thing the Immigration Officer asked me was if I was a Seafarer. I answered no, then he asked for my passport and supporting visa. Since my supporting visa was in my old, previous passport (which I always bring with me), I had to hand him that one too. He also checked my onward ticket — I was flying to Morocco next — looked at it very briefly, asked how long I would be staying in Turkey, and let me through. No other questions.

Note: When I visited Turkey in 2016, I was able to get a Turkish e-visa using my Japan visa and the application was smooth as butter. Back then, they accepted any visa from OECD countries. However: It’s no longer the case. I guess they narrowed down the list of accepted supporting visas recently. Too bad!

No, for those countries, you will need an actual Schengen Visa.

To clarify, this is not a Turkish Schengen Visa. This is Turkish Visa. Turkey is not part of the Schengen agreement.

Yep, you need any of the supporting visas mentioned for an E-Visa. If you don’t have any of them, you need to apply for a physical visa at their consulate.

Hi KS, you won’t be submitting the return ticket or hotel reservation online or at any point during your application. You will be presenting these (and the supporting document) to the Immigration Officers at the airport upon entering the country.

Hi Kat! Hmmm, I’m not sure kasi when I entered Turkey, kahit na requirement siya, the officer didn’t ask me how much money I have with me. He just asked me how long I would be staying, checked my onward ticket and hotel booking, and then let me through.

I think it can be either. Cash might be yung mas expected but for longer stays, if they ask for proof of funds on the spot, I think they would also consider a bank certificate and then show them your ATM card. Pero safer I think if may cash component. Again, that’s just a hunch kasi they never asked me.

Not sure if this will help, but the next country I visited after this was Morocco. Sila, nag-ask sila how much money I had. I said I only had a few hundred dollars, and then I showed my ATM and credit cards. They let me through. Pero this was in Morocco. Baka iba rin policy nila.

Hi! I don’t know how much you should have if you’re applying for a physical visa. I only experienced applying for an e-visa, which doesn’t require a bank account.

Hello po! Sobrang helpful ng blogpost na to. I’ll be travelling to the US in a few weeks with a layover in Istanbul and kaka-discover ko lang about sa free day tour c/o Turkish Airlines. Eligible naman po to qualify based on my flight details. My only concern is will I still be granted an e-visa if my sole purpose of applying is to avail the tour (and since ang mura lang ng application fee)? tsaka pano pag wala akong hotel reservation sa Istanbul, maaprove parin kaya since its one of the requirements? Note though that this article is about E-VISA, not the physical visa. If it’s the latter you’re after, I can’t be of help since I haven’t experienced applying for a physical visa.

For Turkish Immigration, they need to see your exit flight (along with the other requirements). They don’t need to see your flight from St. Petersburg to Manila.

However, the Philippine Immigration might ask for your ticket back to Manila.

Hi Anne, I’m not sure but as far as I know, your travel date in Turkey should be within the validity of the supporting visa. Ganun kasi ung experience ko sa ibang countries when using Schengen as support.

Hi! Just checking, I have an unused UK visa valid from October 26 2023 until next year. I plan to travel to Turkey on October 1-16. I got a Turkey E-Visa as the application portal only asked for the expiration date of the UK Visa and the visa number, which I both had. The website and FAQ pages seems like they’re only concerned about the expiration date of the UK visa supporting document.

Do you think this will be an issue that my Turkey e-visa’s start date is October 1, when the supporting document has validity date?

IMPORTANT NOTICE – All Visa Applications Will Be Processed by the Türkiye Visa Application Center (AgentTR) as of 30 May 2022

Two Ways of Obtaining Turkey Tourist Visa

• If you have a valid visa or residence permit from any of the Schengen countries, or if you have a valid US, UK, or Ireland visa, then you can do your application online at www.evisa.gov.tr . You’ll get your e-visa within 30 minutes.
• If you don’t have any of these visas/resident permits, then you should go ahead with the personal/sticker application to be done at the Turkish Embassy in the Philippines.

Who can Apply for Turkey EVisa?

If you have all the following requirements, then you can proceed with Option 1:

• If your passport covers the period of your stay in Turkey;
• You have a return ticket, hotel reservation , and at least USD 50 per day of your intended stay;
• If your purpose of travel is either only for tourism or business; and
• If you have a valid visa or valid residence permit from one of the Schengen Countries , USA , UK , or Ireland . Be reminded that e-visas of these mentioned countries are not accepted.

How to Apply For Turkey EVisa (if eligible)?

STEP 1: Go to evisa.gov.tr. Click apply for E-visa and completely read, understand, and follow the instructions. Click your travel date and it should be three months from the time of your application.

STEP 2: Make sure that you have all the requirements above. You have to click on the checklist and then fill out the Personal Information page correctly.

STEP 3: A confirmation link will be sent to your email. Just click approve, and you’ll be redirected to the payments section.

STEP 4: Pay the amount of 20.70 USD. You can pay using Mastercard, Visa, or UnionPay Credit Card.

STEP 5: Once you completed the process, you’ll be redirected to a page saying the application is over and that you can now download your e-visa. Just click download, print it, and you’re ready to go to Turkey in no time!

How to Apply For Turkey Tourist Visa

Main requirements in applying for turkey tourist visa.

• Application Form – done online
• Copy of appointment schedule
• Biometric Photo (2×2 with white background)
• Valid passport and photocopy of the first two pages – include the old passport

• Certificate of Employment – with the applicant’s position, working record, and monthly or annual income
• Income Tax Return
• Original PSA Birth certificate or Marriage Certificate

Step-By-Step Guide for Pre-Visa Application

Before going to the Turkish Embassy in the Philippines, you first need to have the confirmation e-mail of online appointments by doing the steps below. Without this, you wouldn’t be able to enter the exclusive Dasmarinas Village.

STEP 1: Prepare a scanned copy of all the documents stated above.

STEP 2: Go to visa.gov.tr. Complete ALL the required fields truthfully and completely. 

STEP 3 : After filling out the Personal Information section, you can either “Proceed with e-visa” if you are qualified for it or click “Continue Online Form.” Just click Save and Proceed once you’re done filling out the other parts.

STEP 4: Upload the copies of the required documents as stated above.

STEP 5: After completing the online pre-application, you can now schedule an appointment at the Turkish Embassy in Manila on the same website. An email confirmation will be sent regarding your application and selected appointment date.

STEP 6: Print the email confirmation and take it with you on your date of appointment. Bring with you your passport, a copy of your passport’s data page, two pieces of 2×2 ID photo, and other requirements as stated above.

STEP 7: Go to the Turkish Embassy:

• To go to the Turkish Embassy, first, you have to go to the Amorsolo Gate of Dasmariñas Village. Inform the guard that you have an appointment at the Turkish Embassy. Just log-in and leave a valid ID.
• Wait for the shuttle to the Turkish Embassy. Sometimes it takes almost an hour, so you must arrive there early. Preferably, 2 to 3 hours before your scheduled appointment.
• Pay the shuttle roundtrip fee which costs PHP 150.00 at the Homeowners’ Association office; the shuttle will stop there.
• Show your printed appointment confirmation to the security of the embassy. You can’t enter without it. You can save it on your phone, too, just to be sure.

STEP 8: Your documents will be collected by the Consular Officer, and they may ask you some questions regarding your trip/financial capability. After this, you may pay the visa fee which is 60 USD for a single-entry tourist visa. Remember to pay the EXACT amount.

STEP 9: After payment, a date of visa release will be sent to your email, or you will be given a claim stub. Just wait for it and claim your passport on the scheduled date. This usually takes one to four weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions About Turkey Tourist Visa

1. Do I need to provide a ‘ show money ’, if yes, how much should I have?

Yes. There’s no specific amount of money that you need to have in your bank account . However, the embassy stated that you should have at least USD 50 per day of your intended stay excluding hotel and flight fees. 

2. There’s an error uploading my file. What should I do?

Try to resize the file and upload it again.

3. I got a small stamp on my passport indicating the date of application. What does this mean?

Unfortunately, it means that your visa has been denied.

4. Do I need to pay in USD?

Yes. They require ALL applicants to pay in USD. They’re strict about that. Otherwise, you need to reschedule your appointment.

5. Do I need to have a reservation for my local flights in Turkey?

No. You can just indicate the flight details in your day-to-day itinerary. You can also rent a flight . 

6. My visa or valid residence permit from one of the Schengen Countries, USA, UK, or Ireland is going to expire before my intended departure from Turkey. Is that okay?

It’s totally fine. What’s important is that it should be valid upon arrival in Turkey.

7. Can they require me to provide additional documents?

Yes, it is possible. So if you’re married or a student, also bring your important documents.

8. How long is the validity of an e-visa?

Your e-visa is valid for 180 days from the date of your application, and you can stay for a period not exceeding 30 days.

9. Is an interview required?

No, but they may ask you a few questions regarding your application.

10. Can I bring my car when I apply for a visa?

No. It is a private village so you need to take a cab or MRT and a shuttle as we stated above.

… Snaps back to reality.

Just flew in Istanbul today from Singapore, with a three-hour layover in Abu Dhabi International Airport.  Though sleep-deprived, my heart’s racing. A couple of hours into our Turkey trip, I’ve already fallen in love — we haven’t even seen any of the sights yet! And oh, a lot of Turkish people have fallen in love with Luna too.

I tell you, I have to be dragged out of this bewitching country when my visa expires. Seriously? Fifteen days? We were thinking three months to see everything on our list. 

Are you (my fellow Filipino) planning to visit someday too? This post could be of help. They do not accept inquiries on the phone. I paid them a visit just to inquire about the requirements and I had to pay for the shuttle service!

Requirements for Turkey Tourist Visa Application and Business Visa Application

1. Completed application form. Form is provided at the embassy. 2. Passport-size photo. To be attached on the form. 3. Passport and photocopy of the first two pages. 4. Certificate of Employment. The applicant’s job title, work record and monthly/annual income must be indicated. 5. Latest Individual Income Tax Return 6. Company’s latest Income Tax Return if travel is business related. 7. For business owners – Company Business Registration such as SEC and DTI 8. Original Bank Deposit Certificate addressed to the embassy. No specified amount, but some travel agency officers I spoke with in the embassy suggest P100,000+. 9. If invited by government or private sector and international companies or institutions holding office in Turkey – Original invitation letter adressed to the embassy. If invited by a Turkish national – Original invitation letter must be notarized in Turkey, affidavit of support and pertinent credentials of the invitee together with the Turkish IDs and other supporting documents. 10. Confirmed hotel accommodation booking. 11. Round-trip airline ticket.

Application day:

Unfortunately, the embassy resides in Dasma riñas Village, which means you have to pay P150 for a round-trip shuttle ride. Take note, as a non-resident you’re not allowed to walk to the embassy from the gate nor from the embassy to the gate, no matter how close the distance is. But some travel agency officers do it anyways because the shuttle (there’s only one) comes by every 20-30 minutes. If you’re coming in by private car/taxi, the guard at the gate most probably will tell you to take the shuttle also. How to get to Turkey Embassy: By public transport, simply take the MRT and alight at Magallanes MRT Station.

When you get to the entrance (gate beside Ecology Village), do not forget to write your name on the logbook. If you can’t find it, ask the guard. The driver may not let you board if you don’t. He sometimes uses this as basis on who to serve first.

Payment of shuttle service is done at the village office. The driver takes you there first, before bringing you to the embassy.   Bags are checked in at the embassy’s guard post. Mobile phones must be left there too. You can only get in the office with your documents. You’ll be asked to write your name on a logbook inside the office. The guard will then give you your application form and number.  Wait can take up to three hours. Dedicate your whole day for the application. Do not come with an empty stomach (the embassy guards discreetly sell biscuits and cup noodles at their post, ask if they have some if you’re about to pass out from hunger). Original documents and their photocopies are presented/submitted to the secretary. Incomplete documents are not be accepted. If satisfied with the documents, secretary will ask for the P2,500 single entry tourist visa fee and will give you a claim stub with the date of visa release. Also, ask if you can take the original documents with you (except passport and bank certificate)  after the secretary has seen it, because they might not remember to give you back come visa release.

How long is the processing time for a Turkey visa? Within ten working days from the receipt of the application. IMPORTANT – All invitation letters will be submitted by the applicant and should be faxed to the embassy prior to application.  – Guards will let you in from 9:30 AM to 12:00 noon. Embassy will serve everyone who came within such time window until afternoon. – Embassy is open from Monday to Friday except Wednesday.

Visa Release Day:

Pay another P150 for the shuttle service. Register at the embassy guard. Oddly, you may give the secretary your claim stub at anytime, so long as she’s not speaking with another applicant. In my case, I handed it to a guy who came downstairs (office has two floors) to release passports to travel agency officers.

He gave my passport within a minute, but I still waited for more than an hour prior because there was no staff in sight on the ground floor except the guard.

If you have work on weekdays, you may seek the help of a travel agency for your application. I initially planned on doing so because I don’t have a COE. I decided to apply myself when the travel agency “boss” appeared hesitant about my application just because my onward flight goes to the country Georgia, which she does not know of!

I’d like to add comment on this post that Turkey by far is very lenient when it comes to visa granting. Mine was 30 days (applied in Dubai) and they dont mind the outstanding amount on your bank account.

I love Turkey so much! So Europe but not that expensive.

Perhaps it is different when you apply from another country? I spoke with the embassy staff, they cannot give more than 15 days for a tourist visa.

How long did it take to get the VISA? I am from Baguio and traveling to Manila can be hell for me even with TPLEX (now possible to get to Manila within 4 hours!).

I have about 30 days. I hope they are quick to review things. Otherwise, my VISA application and transportation expenses will be worthless.

I read it and was going to update the comment but I am still uncertain about that duration. My trip is last week of May. Company booked hotel for me. They are asking if I can get a VISA this week. Hello everyone!!! I want to update all of you that there is a new and easier way to get a visa to Turkey without going to the Turkey Embassy and passing soooo much requirements anymore!

You can apply for an e-visa to Turkey through this link https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/ .. and guess what?! you can stay up to 30 days (the embassy usually gives 15 days for a single entry) and it is much cheaper than the visa that the embassy gives just for 20$ but it has prerequisites before you can buy the e-visa.. I don’t have all the info’s about it but you can check the link I included here and this one too https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/tour/ is also a bit helpful 🙂

Well the only problem you will need to solve is how will you tick all the boxes on the prerequisites and how you can go thru the immigration in case they ask you somethings about your trip (you know how IO’s can be sooo frustrating sometimes before you leave the country) and don’t worry the e-visa has been recognized and approved by the Bureau of Immigration this is the link for it: http://www.immigration.gov.ph/index.php/news/press-release/79-april-2014-press-releases/608-visa-facilitation-for-philippine-nationals-visiting-turkey

Assuming you will first go to Turkey then Vietnam. Firstly, there is a Vietnam embassy in Turkey. Here you can apply for the Vietnam visa provided you have a valid passport. This passport should have enough free space for stamping of the Vietnam visa. It should also have more than six months left to its expiry date. At the Vietnam embassy in Turkey will be guided on what more you need to do before you are allowed entry to Vietnam.

Alternative to the embassy is the online application service for the Vietnam visa on arrival. I personally recommend this one for you. You should submit a sponsorship letter sent by your boyfriend and give his bank details instead.

As long as you stay in safe areas, it should be okay. I don’t know though what’s the minimum days of rush processing of the visa.

They have 30 days free entry here in the philipines. if the Turkish wanted to extend the visa, then he or she may directly go to the Bureau of Immigration to file the extension of visa.

Hi, I understand they are only open for applications 4 days a week (weekdays except Wednesday). I am leaving on the 11th and counting the 10 business days turnaround time from the day I apply. Do they include Wednesday in the 10 business days event if they don’t accept applications during this day?

hi, im also from mindanao, davao city. my flight will be on july 1stweek. ill be applying for a tourist visa for 30days nextweek thru a travel agency that costs around 7k. I just have a question, invitation and sponsorship letter should be notarized? is it just one paper of one of each?

You need the Turkish visa website

https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/

This is the only official website, and you can apply online.

Do be careful of any agency who claims that they can get you a Visa.

I am not saying they are illegal but when you have the official link as in Post 1 why risk losing money!

For the Philippines you can apply for a single entry visa for a maximum of 30 days within a 180 day period. The cost is $20 U.S. It is very important you only use the official site as per. the link above.

you can apply for e-visa if you have a valid us/uk/schengen visa.

otherwise, you have to go to embassy (in makati) to process your visa.

first step is to apply online at http://www.visa.gov.tr/.

read through the requirements as you have to upload it on the website. once done you can choose your appointment date. don't go the embassy without an appointment because they wont entertain you.

on you appointment date, bring all the requirements you submitted and a printed copy of your application form.

no travel agency processes Turkish Visa at least for the philippines. the most that they can do for you is guide you through the process but it is still you who will still apply and appear in the embassy to process for your visa.
