    castle Eden Dene is a lovely place for peace, quiet and tranquillity. Car park and toilets and a cafe are available. parking is free but you can donate money for the upkeep of the dene. plenty of long walks. two are well signposted the Yew Walk and the Squirrel walk. you do need sensible footwear as a lot of banks and rough terrain. you can walk for miles.
