2011 QLINK Tour Review

QLINK Motor was founded back in 1988 and is located in Dallas, Texas. QLINK offers a slew of products and caters to different markets. QLINK brand motorcycles, scooters, ATVs and side-by-sides are some of the vehicles that QLINK prides themselves on. QLINK’s main distribution facility can be found in Edwardsville, PA, but has hubs in other parts of the world as well. These QLINK hubs can be found in Mexico, Brazil, Hungary, Nigeria, Taiwan and China. No matter the location, QLINK is always available to assist both customers and dealers with whatever they may need. This is the QLINK way of doing business and it has worked for them over the years, as their popularity continues to grow to astounding numbers. Even though QLINK may not have a strong presence in United States households as of yet, they are still a popular company in other countries and their presence continues to grow in the United States.

The 2011 QLINK Tour is being sold currently at the price of $3395 and comes with a twin-sided swing arm rear suspension. The 2011 QLINK Tour is a two-seater motorcycle, so there is plenty of comfort provided for those riders that enjoy having someone ride with them. There are foot pegs provided for the passenger, so they are ensured a comfortable ride, especially when going for longer distances. The two-pieced studded leather seats are for both the driver and the passenger to enjoy while riding on the QLINK Tour. The gas tank is of average size and will not require any sort of hi-test or premium fuel. Instead, the QLINK Tour takes regular fuel, so riders can enjoy the benefits of saving money at the pump. The QLINK does come with a 24-month warranty, so owners are protected in case anything would happen to their motorcycle for up to two years.

Operators of the QLINK Tour must realize that the motorcycle is not going to be as powerful as other motorcycles on the market. The QLINK Tour has 16 lb-ft of torque and that doesn’t translate well when it comes to acceleration. However, the QLINK Tour is not meant to be a fast motorcycle. Instead, it is meant to be a cruiser that is easy to ride and handle and is comfortable for the operator and passenger. Anyone that is familiar with cruisers will be able to respect this. However, someone looking for more power and aggression should look elsewhere. Although the QLINK Tour may not be as powerful as other motorcycles, it does boast the aggressive looks and tone of upper-level motorcycles, such as a Harley-Davidson. It may not have the power to match the Harley-Davidson, but it does have the comfort element down pat.

Qlink Tour: history, specs, pictures

The Qlink Tour 250 was a v2, four-stroke standard produced by Qlink between 2011 and 2015. Max torque was 11.8 ft/lbs (16.0 Nm) @ 6000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 17.3 HP (12.9 KW) @ 8500 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled v2, four-stroke. A 49.0mm bore x 66.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 248.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive [ edit | edit source ]

The bike has a 5-speed transmission.

Chassis [ edit | edit source ]

It came with a 110/90-16 front tire and a 130/90-16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a hydraulic fork while the rear was equipped with a twin shock. The Tour 250 was fitted with a 3.7 Gallon (14.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 380.96 pounds (172.8 Kg). The wheelbase was 61.81 inches (1570 mm) long.

Activated 1953 in Stepanshchino, Moscow Oblast - initially as the 1945th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment for Special Use and from 1955 as the 635th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment for Special Use.

1953 to 1984 equipped with 60 S-25 (SA-1) launchers:

Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.  

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.

The Unique Burial of a Child of Early Scythian Time at the Cemetery of Saryg-Bulun (Tuva)

In 1988, the Tuvan Archaeological Expedition (led by M. E. Kilunovskaya and V. A. Semenov) discovered a unique burial of the early Iron Age at Saryg-Bulun in Central Tuva. There are two burial mounds of the Aldy-Bel culture dated by 7th century BC. Within the barrows, which adjoined one another, forming a figure-of-eight, there were discovered 7 burials, from which a representative collection of artifacts was recovered. Burial 5 was the most unique, it was found in a coffin made of a larch trunk, with a tightly closed lid. Due to the preservative properties of larch and lack of air access, the coffin contained a well-preserved mummy of a child with an accompanying set of grave goods. The interred individual retained the skin on his face and had a leather headdress painted with red pigment and a coat, sewn from jerboa fur. The coat was belted with a leather belt with bronze ornaments and buckles. Besides that, a leather quiver with arrows with the shafts decorated with painted ornaments, fully preserved battle pick and a bow were buried in the coffin. Unexpectedly, the full-genomic analysis, showed that the individual was female. This fact opens a new aspect in the study of the social history of the Scythian society and perhaps brings us back to the myth of the Amazons, discussed by Herodotus. Of course, this discovery is unique in its preservation for the Scythian culture of Tuva and requires careful study and conservation.
