Chevy Cars w/ Adaptive Cruise Control (20 Popular Models)

Adaptive cruise control is increasingly common in mainstream vehicles, and Chevrolet has several cars, SUVs, and trucks with adaptive cruise control or conventional cruise control system.

Check the corresponding tables to see the relevant model years when the system became available.

Adaptive Cruise Control vs. Cruise Control

Older vehicles’ basic cruise control system helps maintain a steady cruising speed for a relaxing long-distance drive. Still, it cannot do what the newer, more sophisticated adaptive cruise control can.

Adaptive cruise control (ACC) enhances the conventional cruise control system by adjusting the vehicle’s speed to match the car ahead subject to the driver’s predefined speed, which is excellent for highway cruising and avoiding collisions.

Newer Chevys have adaptive cruise control, adjusting the vehicle’s speed to maintain a pre-selected distance from the car ahead.

While Chevrolet equips many pickups with cruise control for on-road cruising, the following alternatives may be worth exploring for their more-comfortable ride quality or greater payload and towing capacities:

• Ram trucks with cruise control .
• Ford trucks with cruise control .
• Jeep trucks with cruise control .
• GMC trucks with cruise control .

Meanwhile, the automakers below have strong picks for cars and SUVs with adaptive cruise control:

• Honda SUVs with ACC .
• Toyota vehicles with ACC .

Chevy Cars with Adaptive Cruise Control

2022 is the final production year for this little hatchback.

All Chevrolet Spark models from 2013 to 2022 had cruise control in the higher 1LT, 2LT, and ACTIV trims; the base LS trim did not have cruise control.

#2 Chevrolet Sonic

Chevrolet discontinued this extra-small sedan or hatchback after 2020.

From 2012 to 2020, most Chevy Sonic models (LT, LTZ, RS, Premier) have cruise control, except for the base LS trim.

Only the Chevy Sonic’s LT trim in 2012 did not have cruise control; LT in other model years had the system.

#3 Chevrolet Cobalt

2010 marked the end of the line for the compact Cobalt sedan or coupe.

Most Chevrolet Cobalt models did not have cruise control, except for the more-expensive SS and LTZ trims from 2007 to 2010.

2005 and 2006 Chevy Cobalts had cruise control in most trims, except for the base model.

#4 Chevrolet Malibu

The midsize Chevrolet Malibu sedan has had standard cruise control from 2006 to the current model, while the ones from 2002 to 2005 only had the system in the higher trims.

Unfortunately, no Chevy Malibu has an adaptive cruise control system.

#5 Chevrolet Impala

This large sedan ceased production after 2020.

All Chevy Impala models from 2006 to 2020 had a cruise control system.

However, Chevy Impalas from 2002 to 2005 only had cruise control in the higher trims.

#6 Chevrolet Volt

The Chevy Volt plug-in hybrid had standard cruise control from 2011 to 2019.

#7 Chevrolet Camaro

This famous muscle car is available in coupe or convertible, with many powerful trims to suit various tastes for speed.

All Chevy Camaros from 2010 onwards have had cruise control as a standard provision.

No Chevy Camaro has the more sophisticated adaptive cruise control.

#8 Chevrolet Corvette

Cruise control has been standard in all Chevy Corvette models since 2001.

Chevy SUVs with Adaptive Cruise Control

Chevy Trax subcompact SUVs from 2015 to 2022 only had cruise control in the higher trims.

The base Chevy Trax LS trim did not have the cruise control system.

The Trailblazer is slightly larger than the Trax but is still a subcompact SUV.

Chevy Trailblazers have had cruise control in the upper trims since 2021, leaving only the base LS trim without the system.

Cruise control is also available in most Chevy Trailblazer models from 2002 to 2009, except for 2002 to 2004 when only the pricier trims had it.

No Chevy Trailblazer has the higher-spec adaptive cruise control.

#11 Chevrolet Equinox

Honda CR-Vs and Toyota RAV4s dominate the small SUV class, but the Chevy Equinox stands out with its stylish exterior and precise handling.

Chevy Equinox compact SUVs have had standard cruise control since 2006, with the 2005 base trim the only exception.

Unfortunately, Chevrolet Equinox does not have the more sophisticated adaptive cruise control system.

#12 Chevrolet Blazer

The midsize two-row Chevy Blazer SUV has had cruise control as a standard provision since 2019.

Chevy Blazer does not have adaptive cruise control, however.

#13 Chevrolet Traverse

Midsize three-row Chevrolet Traverse models from 2022 onwards have had at least the basic cruise control system, while the Premier and High Country trims have the more sophisticated adaptive cruise control.

From 2018 to 2021, only Chevy Traverse’s High Country trim had adaptive cruise control, while the rest had conventional cruise control.

Between its 2009 debut and 2017, all Chevy Traverse models had cruise control.

#14 Chevrolet Tahoe

The Tahoe is one of two full-size SUVs within Chevrolet’s lineup; Chevy Suburban is the other (next on the list).

Since 2002, all Chevy Tahoe models have had cruise control.

Although it’s a massive three-row SUV, Chevrolet Tahoe does not have the higher-spec adaptive cruise control.

#15 Chevrolet Suburban

The Suburban has such a huge interior that you’d need to settle for a van if you want anything bigger.

Like its Tahoe stablemate, the three-row Chevy Suburban has had cruise control as standard equipment since 2002.

Unfortunately, no Chevrolet Suburban has adaptive cruise control, the more sophisticated distance management system that smaller and cheaper SUVs have.

Chevy Trucks with Adaptive Cruise Control

Midsize trucks are increasingly popular due to their smaller dimensions than full-size pickups for maneuverability while having a reasonable towing capacity for broad utility.

Except for 2004 and 2005, all Chevy Colorado models have cruise control, including the base Work Truck (WT) trim.

No Chevy Colorado has adaptive cruise control, the speed management system that allows the vehicle to slow or accelerate depending on the car ahead.

#17 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

The full-size light-duty Chevy Silverado 1500 has had cruise control in the higher trims since 2019, although the system was a standard provision from 2012 to 2018.

No Chevy Silverado 1500 had the higher-spec adaptive cruise control.

#18 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD

Most Chevy Silverado 2500HD trims have had cruise control since 2020, except for the base Work Truck (WT) trim, where the system is optional.

From 2012 to 2019, all Chevy Silverados had cruise control as a standard provision; older models only had cruise control in the upper trims.

#19 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD

Since 2020, the heavy-duty Chevy Silverado 3500HD has had cruise control in the pricier trims, with the system optional for the base trim.

Silverado 3500HD models from 2012 to 2019 had cruise control as standard equipment.

Chevy Electric Vehicle with Adaptive Cruise Control

The Chevy Bolt is the American company’s first EV, and all the models from 2017 have had standard cruise control.

Adaptive cruise control has been available in the higher trims since 2022.

Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.  

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.

The Unique Burial of a Child of Early Scythian Time at the Cemetery of Saryg-Bulun (Tuva)

In 1988, the Tuvan Archaeological Expedition (led by M. E. Kilunovskaya and V. A. Semenov) discovered a unique burial of the early Iron Age at Saryg-Bulun in Central Tuva. There are two burial mounds of the Aldy-Bel culture dated by 7th century BC. Within the barrows, which adjoined one another, forming a figure-of-eight, there were discovered 7 burials, from which a representative collection of artifacts was recovered. Burial 5 was the most unique, it was found in a coffin made of a larch trunk, with a tightly closed lid. Due to the preservative properties of larch and lack of air access, the coffin contained a well-preserved mummy of a child with an accompanying set of grave goods. The interred individual retained the skin on his face and had a leather headdress painted with red pigment and a coat, sewn from jerboa fur. The coat was belted with a leather belt with bronze ornaments and buckles. Besides that, a leather quiver with arrows with the shafts decorated with painted ornaments, fully preserved battle pick and a bow were buried in the coffin. Unexpectedly, the full-genomic analysis, showed that the individual was female. This fact opens a new aspect in the study of the social history of the Scythian society and perhaps brings us back to the myth of the Amazons, discussed by Herodotus. Of course, this discovery is unique in its preservation for the Scythian culture of Tuva and requires careful study and conservation.
