Chateau Tour Guillotin has belonged to the Lorenzon family for 3 generations . Arthur and Maria arrived from Italy in the early 1950s. Their two sons took over in 1983 and in 2021 Marie-Audrey continued the adventure with the support of her parents, who are always present.
Château Tour Guillotin is a Puisseguin Saint-Emilion , appellation d'origine contrôlée located 40 km northeast of Bordeaux and 9 km northeast of Saint-Emilion. The property has 5 ha 30a, the vineyard is ideally located on hillsides, the soils are clay-limestone.
Merlot represents 85% of the vineyard and Cabernet Sauvignon 15% (average age of the vines: 40 years).
The wine making is traditional in cement vats and then aged in barrels (from 1 to 2 wines) for 12 to 15 months.
We welcome you every day of the year by appointment for a visit of our facilities followed by a tasting.

Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion
L'appellation Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion désigne des vins rouges produits autour de la commune de Puisseguin, voisine de la célèbre Saint-Émilion, sur la rive droite de la Dordogne, près de Bordeaux. Principalement élaborés à partir du cépage Merlot, complété par le Cabernet Franc, ces vins offrent des notes de fruits rouges mûrs, de prunes, de violette et d'épices. Les Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion sont appréciés pour leur structure solide, leur rondeur en bouche et leur capacité à vieillir, tout en étant généralement plus accessibles jeune que certains de leurs voisins plus prestigieux.

The wines of Saint Emilion have a rich, drying tannic structure. These wines are balanced by plum, black cherry, chocolate and sweet spice characteristics. With age, it will develop savoury characteristics of tobacco and cedar.

Making Wine Since 1730
Chevalier Daviaud
Chevalier and Daviaud were the original family ancestors who planted the vines at Château Guillotin in 1730 and so, in their memory, we have selected several acres of the estate for the production of this wine.
This represents about a fifth of the overall production and is different in the respect that all of this wine is matured in new French oak barrels, in the traditional way, which gives it a distinctive mellow oaky flavour.
With the Enlightenment came many changes to the Saint-Émilion wine region. The exceptional quality of the it’s wines was recognised during the 18 th century.
Demand from Flanders led to an increase in wine growing, because the quality of Saint-Émilion wines made it possible to transport them by boat due to the structure of the wine that allowed it to age well and withstand transit. Saint-Émilion wines owe this great quality to a generation of owners, who left their mark on this era by developing new wine growing methods.
