North India Revealed
Overall this was a great tour. The accommodations were very basic as expected. The hotel we stayed in Jalsamair was exceptional due to the location high up at the top of the fort. Most of the transportation was adequate. The train ride from Agra to Varanasi was delayed numerous times making it a 24 hour journey.. apparently this is known to happen frequently with this train as our guide mentioned delays before we even left. It was a miserable ride using up a lot of our precious time in Varanasi. Many of us talked about flying back to delhi. I would gladly have payed a little more to have flown instead of this train. Our guide was a great person. She was very personable and fun. She is very young and new to being a guide. I think with a little more experience she will be a great guide. I do feel we missed out on a few things because of lack of information. It would have been nice to have a little more history and information. It also would have been good to do the orientation walks as soon as we got to a new city. We ended up doing a lot of initial exploring when we first got there and then it was repeated on the orientation walk.
Rajasthan and Varanasi: Bike Tours & the Taj Mahal
I really love it. The way we did it like locals. Using tuks tuks train and etc.
Rajasthan Experience
The Rajasthan Experience tour was excellent, our guide Ravi is very knowledgeable about his country, its history, and its traditions. He was extremely caring for each member, we felt safe at all times, he attended to all of us in all ways at every point on the tour. The trip was everything me and my daughter could have asked for and more. Transport was good – local train, private mini bus, rikshaw and camel - and the accommodation was great (with all the necessities such as wifi and a good breakfast!) The tour covers all the touristy spots as well as more traditional experiences and included a visit to a special needs children school and a dinner at an Indian family home . Highly recommended!
Colorful India with Taj Mahal & Rajasthan
I enjoyed the whole trip. I particularly enjoyed Bikaner, Jaiselmar, and Udiapur, our driver Kan Singh was an amazing skilled driver, I can tend to car sickness and I was worried this might be an issue but he was so steady and safe I had no issues. The hotels were mainly good although the first one there Rocklands was really noisy and no hot water. The camel ride was good but the desert adventure camp had very loud Bollywood music into the night. In summary I would recommend this to but particularly our driver Kan Singh

Escorted India Tour
My 15 day Escorted Tour of India with UncleSam Holidays met and surpassed my expectations. Thank you Amit Tomar. From the moment I was met at the airport (after a 14 hour flight) and presented with a garland of flowers to the last moment being dropped off for my return journey, I was treated not only as a VIP but as a friend. The driver I had for the first 12 to 13 days (Om Prakash) was excellent and if anyone has ever driven in New Delhi you know what the traffic is like lol. The local guides at each destination were very knowledgeable and friendly shout out to Mitesh in Udaipur, Wasim in Varanasi, they all were amazing. It will be a tour I will always remember. If you have a chance to visit India you will not be disappointed if you use this company.
What people love about Jaisalmer Tours
North India Revealed, was an amazing tour. Our guide Sanjeev was really good. Free time is a bonus and though sometimes felt obligated to do what the rest of the group is doing, you can still go off and explore on your own. Watch out for beggars, of all ages including children. They don't take no for an answer. In India they expect tips, I wasn't aware of this but its on 10 Rupiahs which equates to about 2c Australian. Overall a really good trip.
The tour was truly amazing! I loved every minute of it.
Fantastic trip to Northern India! Our tour leader Tony and everyone in our group made this trip so much more special.

- TeamK9 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Really enjoyed this tour, but may be better as a 5 or 6 day trip We really loved this trip! Had so much fun and saw many sights. First, we really appreciated our driver, KK Sharma, who took care of us and safely shuttled us through the wild and crazy highways and cities of the golden triangle. He was always prompt and ready whenever we wanted to go from place to place. It was such a luxury to be tired from exploring a monument and come out to an air conditioned vehicle and a cool drink directly in front of the entrance, with friendly Mr. KK. He also made sure to stop often during our drives (he knew where the clean rest stops were) and frequently found us snacks/cold drinks. We felt like princesses! He also packed our TON of luggage into the trunk of his car. Our guides- Ravi, Vijay, and Gus- were also excellent, and made our short but sweet exploration much better by providing historical and cultural context, as well as ushering us past lines and taking amazing pictures! One point to consider- I felt like our 4 day time frame was a bit rushed- I would recommend taking a bit longer, as we were only able to hit up the highlights, and then had to take long car rides every day. Two of the days we arrived quite late and then had to wake up very early in the morning. Hotels- we stayed in the Clark Shiraz in Agra, the Tigress in Ranthambore, and the KK Royale in Jaipur. The Clark Shiraz was very comfortable, the Tigress was gorgeous and slightly less comfortable, the KK Royale was quite uncomfortable, but they were all generally clean and good for India. Nothing on the level of a true 5 star in a bigger city, but totally fine. Food was ok, if catering toward the bland tourist palate. I am celiac, and our guides/driver helped me so I didn’t get sick, which was huge! Make sure to bring a card in Hindi explaining any food intolerances, it helped a ton! Ranthambore was very beautiful, but the safari was extremely bouncy and quite uncomfortable. If you have longer legs or are tall, you will be absolutely smashed in the tiny seats with your knees whacking the back of the other seat for hours. The seats were way too small. None of the western couples could fit all the way on the seats, so the person on the inside was hanging half into the aisle. One of us sat out the afternoon safari as it was so uncomfortable. I wish we could have had an option to pay a bit extra for a private jeep instead. No tigers, but lots of other wildlife, and it was beautiful in the morning. One thing I didn’t like was the cultural demonstrations/aka tourist traps with intense pressure to sell. We did buy some items, but hated the way we were forced to go through room after room with more and more stuff, particularly since it ate into the time to see the attractions and was quite exhausting. Much better would have been a market tour or guidance to some shops based on our interests, since I definitely wanted to shop while in India, just not for those specific things. Overall we had a wonderful time, and felt very safe and taken care of. I don’t think I would have felt safe traveling in the area alone as two female westerners, so this tour was a great chance to see the area while having a bit more flexibility than a group tour. About 50 km of the road from Udaipur to Kumbalgarh is completely dug up dirt and there is absolutely no paved road. The journey is exhausting and not the safest as the sand created a dust storm during a part of our trip. Cannot imagine travel once it starts raining. Why not keep a portion of the road paved?!! The road to Ranakpur isn't dug up but not the best. Wait to travel there if you can. Read more Written 6 March 2024
