Introduction.

 Entry Requirements

To become a certified Travel & Tourism professional first requires some specified skills and knowledge. However we do require some prerequisites as below:

  • Candidate must be 18 year or above
  • Must hold either NCE/OND/HND/BSC or above including 4 Credits in O Level with not more than two sittings including English and Mathematics
  • Basic Math skills and good English skills recommended

Course Duration:

The IATA- Foundation in Travel and Tourism with Sabre Diploma spans one month, with 2-hour classes held from Monday to Friday, as per the available slots between 10 AM to 4 PM. This focused approach allows for an immersive learning experience, covering key aspects of Ticketing ,customer service, GDS and so on.

Examination

The  IATA- Foundation in Travel and Tourism with Sabre Diploma culminates with an online exam conducted under Remote Supervision (OERS). The format consists of 80 multiple-choice questions, and it is a closed-course book exam. Participants are given a time allowance of 2 hours to complete the assessment. To pass the exam, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 60% correct answers. However, those who excel and score 85% correct answers or above receive a Distinction Grade. If needed, participants have two attempts to take the exam, providing an opportunity for further improvement and success in achieving the course certification.

Duration: The IATA Foundation Diploma Course is a part time course and its general duration is 4-6 months. Fees: Term fee for this course is USD 550 which includes tuition, IATA study kit, all course material and accompanying CD-ROM. Examination fee is USD 384. Totaling both comes to around 52,000 in Indian rupees as per today's dollar rate. Certificate Issued/Course Title: On completion of the course, after sitting for the examination, you will then be the lucky holder of "Diploma in Travel and Tourism Foundations" and the title DTTF will be added after your name. Important Notes: 1. Course exams are held three times a year in March, September and December. 2. The exam is mostly multiple choice questions. 3. A 60% minimum score is required to pass the exam. 4. Not all IATA certified / coaching institutes provide placements after exam. 5. Not all centers offer all three levels of this programme. 6. Enrollment is valid for 2 years.
