How To Download & Install JourneyMap in Minecraft
This is our complete tutorial for how to download and install the JourneyMap mod for Minecraft. JourneyMap is the best Minecraft map mod out there allowing you to have an incredible minimap in Minecraft while also having access to a full map with just the click on of a button. You also have the ability to set waypoints, and pretty much everything in JourneyMap is configurable. Overall, JourneyMap is truly an amazing Minecraft map mod, so let's go ahead and get it installed!
How To Download & Install JourneyMap in Minecraft
Step 1) Download & Install Forge
Just like with most mods these days, JourneyMap is installed using the Forge Mod Loader. Forge is super easy to install, and we have a dedicated tutorial on doing just that! You can go through it yourself by clicking here . That tutorial will walk you through every single step of getting Forge installed. After you have Forge installed and running, you can continue on with actually getting JourneyMap up and running!
Check out our in-depth Forge tutorial in order to ensure you get Forge up and running correctly!
Step 2) Download JourneyMap
Now, before we can install JourneyMap, we need to download it. So, let's get started. You can download JourneyMap by clicking here . This will take you to CurseForge. Once you're on this site, click on the ‘Files' tab, and then select the version of JourneyMap you are going to install. If you want to play with JourneyMap in Minecraft 1.15.2, you will need to select the 1.15.2 version of it. Once you've found the JourneyMap version you want, click the little download arrow next to the version name. That will start the download. You may need to keep/save the file. It is 100% safe!
Step 3) Install JourneyMap
So you've gotten JourneyMap downloaded, but how to do you actually get it installed. Well, this is actually really simple. Just hit the Windows Key on your keyboard and ‘R' at the exact same time. This will open up the ‘Run' program. In the search box type, ‘%appdata%'. This will launch the ‘Roaming' folder on your computer. At the very top of this folder, you will see a program called ‘.minecraft'. Open this folder, and in it, you should have a folder titled ‘mods'. If you don't, just create one!
After you've found or created your ‘mods' folder, installing JourneyMap is easy. Just take it and drag and drop them into this ‘mods' folder. After you've done that, the mods are installed! We aren't quite done yet though. We still need to make sure that we are selecting the right version of Forge.
Step 4) Open The Minecraft Launcher & Select The ‘Forge' Profile
In order to select the correct version of Forge, we need to open up the regular Minecraft launcher that we allow know and love. From here, we can click the green up arrow next to the ‘Play' button. From there, find the profile titled ‘Forge'. Click it, and then, click the big green ‘Play' button. Minecraft should then launch with Forge and JourneyMap installed.
Step 5) Have Fun & JourneyMap
Congratulations! JourneyMap is now installed! Have some fun, build stuff, or install some other mods. We have over 30 different tutorials on installing mods with their official download links. We've also got tutorials on starting, maintaining, and running Minecraft servers. Thus, if you need to know how to do anything in Minecraft, just search our site or check out our Minecraft category for in-depth mod and server tutorials!

JourneyMap Mod
JourneyMap Mod Wiki aims to map the world in Minecraft in real-time when you make your way through it.
JourneyMap Mod Wiki
The map can be viewed in a web browser or in the game as a Minimap. Besides, you can view it on the full screen. To do so, you have to install a Map and Information mod called JourneyMap. It is a client and server mod for Forge.
By using the mod, you can explore the world in the game as it is mapped in real-time. You may have known that the in-game world is quite large. Hence, it is easy for you to not know which way to go.
You are recommended to try the above mod as it allows you to view the world in the game as a minimap or even in a web browser.
The mod gives support to single and multiplayer servers. Here are two modes for multiplayer:
- FairPlay Edition: It deactivates Radar and Cave mapping when you are in Multiplayer mode.
- Unlimited Edition: It enables features for Single and Multiplayer modes.
If you are on the latest version, you can explore some features such as:
- Waypoint sharing
- Topographic maps
- Minimum Distance
These features are for waypoint beacons.
Other features:
- If you are in the minimized mode, the mod is like a radar that displays terrain and the player’s location.
- When you are in the maximized mode, the mod is shown at full screen with various function buttons.
- The setting menu is made in a detailed way and it is highly customizable.
- Web Map is also a great feature of the mod. It allows players to view the world map through the use of web browsers.
JourneyMap Mod lets you explore the in-game world through a functional map.
Requirement:
- Minecraft Forge

JourneyMap is a mod created by techbrew based around real-time in-game mapping. This map can be viewed in-game as a minimap, a fullscreen map, in a web browser, iPad , or Android tablet. There are two versions of JourneyMap: FairPlay and Unlimited. The FairPlay edition of the mod is for servers that are strict about radars and maps, while the Unlimited edition has all features. The key difference between the two are cave/interior mapping and entity mapping, which are disabled in FairPlay multiplayer.
JourneyMap works in singleplayer and multiplayer without the need of a serverside mod. The JourneyMap map can be viewed in-game using a full-screen map, or a regular minimap. JourneyMap includes daylight map, moonlight map, cave map, Nether map, and End map modes. It has full waypoint management as of 4.0, including import support for REI Minimap and Zan's Minimap waypoints. The player can see nearby entities (including other players) in real time. As of version 3.0, the player can auto-map entire singleplayer worlds with a single button. JourneyMap maps can be saved as a PNG image.

Review JourneyMap
Finding your bearings in the game world is a big problem for you, and you don't understand where you are? Indeed, it is quite difficult to play without a map, as you cannot know what awaits you. Would like to add a multifunctional map to the Minecraft game world? We suggest you install an add-on called JourneyMap , which will allow you to do this. It is a popular mod that adds a circle-shaped map displayed in the upper right corner. You can be sure that it will not spoil the gameplay at all, as it is not that large. Thanks to it, you will get a lot of data about your location and which biome you are in, as well as many other functions.
Map's Functions
Having looked at the map, you can notice many indicators that will be useful for each player. Your coordinates are shown at the bottom and include the longitude, latitude, and elevation ( x, y, z ). So you will not have to constantly press the F3 key anymore to check your coordinates, as they are shown right on the main screen. Below the coordinates, there is the name of the biome you are currently in. It will change when you enter another biome. That is quite convenient, as a beginner may not yet know which biome they are in. At the top of the map, you can see the exact in-game time and current time of day.
Map's Elements
On the map itself, you can find the exact image of the nearby terrain. This will allow you to find the biomes you need faster, as looking at the map, you can see the areas quite far from your location. Besides, the map will show all the player's buildings or structures. The nearby hostile and friendly mobs are also shown on the map . The former are colored red and the latter gray. Four cardinal points are marked on the sides for better navigation — north, south, west, and east.
If you do not particularly like the round map, you can easily change its view by pressing one key. It can be changed in the Controls section of the settings. You can thus switch to a square map, but it will take up more screen space. However, you will be able to see a vaster area on it. After checking it, you can easily change the map's view to the round one.
Full-Screen Map
If you like the square view, you can also open a full-screen map, which will allow you to enable other features. Besides, in the full-screen map, you can see the entire game world, or rather, the loaded chunks you have visited. So you should activate a large number of chunks so that the entire world map becomes available for examination. The full-screen map features numerous buttons, clicking on which you can change what is displayed on it. Thus, by clicking on the Biomes button, the map will show the biomes, highlighting their borders and territory with color to help you easily find a certain biome. You can also change the GUI as you see fit. If you have found some interesting place but have to leave it, you can mark it on the map to subsequently return there.

Free map full of nostalgia
DAY 6: Journey through Minecraft history in this free map
It’s day 6 of our 15th anniversary celebration and time for a (literal) trip down memory lane! A lot has happened in these 15 years, so we’ve packed some of our most nostalgic moments, marvelous dimensions, and accidental proudest inventions from our past into a free map by Oreville Studios . Like the giant bouncy castle I built out of slime balls and filled with rabbits! Edit: The dev team are now telling me the bouncy castle didn’t make the cut. There's always next time. What about for our 30-year anniversary? Hello? Oh, they've stopped replying...
The doors to the Minecraft Museum are open and admission is free, so what are you waiting for? Let’s head inside!
FREE MAP! 15 YEAR JOURNEY BY OREVILLE STUDIOS
Like all things Minecraft, this isn’t just any museum – unless museums always teeter on the edge of peril? Sure, there are plenty of things to awe over, but since we are firm believers in adding a healthy dose of adventure and surprise wherever we can, taking on treacherous mini games, exploring immersive exhibits, and setting out on wild treasure hunts seem like a much better way to take in our blocky history!
Welcome to the blockiest museum on the Internet!
No water breathing potion needed in the aquarium, but you can still find a sunken treasure or two...
Mount the strider and attempt to reach the Fortress in a platformer version of the Nether!
There’s even a Dig Straight Down challenge to see who can get to the treasure vault first! Without mining face-first into lava, that is. I suggest you also check out the puzzle-based challenge where you can unlock the alpha version of the game! Just know that side effects include severe nostalgia and potentially a tear or two.
Spawn into the honey drenched hive of our buzziest mobs and join them on their quest to collect all the nectar before time runs out.
Swoosh through the hoops in this Ender-inspired elytra race
Who knew museums could be snow much fun?
Head to Minecraft Marketplace to download the free map and start digging into the many more wonders of our past today!
Today’s free Character Creator item
We normally don’t do dress codes, but if the Minecraft Museum enforced one, it would include a free pair of Toe Guardians , naturally! These slippers are based on the puffer-like aquatic mob from our 1.8 update, which you can find guarding ocean monuments. While these slippers do not prevent you from stubbing your toes on sharp corners, they will at least give every corner the evil eye. Swim over to the Dressing Room to get your hands feet in a free pair now!
What surprises will shape our world tomorrow? There’s an entire week of festivities left, so don’t forget to check Minecraft.net daily so you don’t miss out on the celebrations.

B2B Customer Journey Map: A Quickfire Guide for Growth
- May 20, 2024
What is a company’s biggest asset?
Its product? Its employees? Its unique selling proposition?
More and more people are recognising it’s something else entirely: your customers.
Without your customers, your business can’t exist.
Nearly 77% of B2B buyers found the buying process too complicated.
With more competition than ever, it’s crucial you provide the best possible experience for them.
That’s where your customer journey comes in.
If you’re in the B2B space, you need to know how to map out the journey.
By building a B2B customer journey map, you’ll be able to analyse the weak spots in the customer journey so you can improve the experience (and generate more revenue).
In this article, we break down the B2B customer journey stages, how to build a customer journey map and how Matomo can help you track your customer journey automatically.
What is a B2B customer journey?
Every customer goes through a specific path within your business.
At some point in time, they found out about you and eventually bought your products.
A B2B customer journey is the collection of touchpoints your customer has with your business from start to finish.
From discovery to purchase (and more), your customers go through a specific set of touches you can track. By analysing this journey, you can get a snapshot of your user experience.
One way to track the customer journey is with a B2B customer journey map.
It helps you to quickly see the different steps your customers take in their path with your business.
With it, you can quickly identify weak spots and successes to improve the customer journey.
5 stages of the B2B customer journey
Every one of your customers is unique. Their specific needs and their journey.
It’s all different.
But, there are crucial steps they take through their journey as your customer.
It’s the same path your entire customer base takes.
Here are the five stages of the B2B customer journey (and why you should track them):
1. Awareness
Awareness is the first stage that every B2B buyer goes through when they start their journey in B2B companies as a customer.
At this stage, your target buyer understands they have a problem they need solving. They’re out, actively trying to solve this problem.
This is where you can stand out from the competition and give them a good first impression.
Some helpful content you could create to do this is:
- Social media posts
- Whitepapers
2. Consideration
Next up, your buyer persona has an awareness of your company. But, now they’ve started narrowing down their options for potential businesses they’re interested in.
They’ve selected yours as a potential business to hand their hard-earned cash over to, but they’re still making up their mind.
At this point, you need to do what you can to clear up any objections and doubts in their mind and make them trust you.
Some helpful content you could create here include:
- Product demos by your sales team
- Case studies
3. Conversion
Next up, your target buyer has compared all their options and decided on you as the chosen product/company.
This is where the purchase decision is made — when the B2B buyer actually signs or clicks “buy.”
Here, you’ll want to provide more:
- Customer service
- Customer reviews/testimonials
Your B2B buyer is now a customer. But, not all customers return. The majority will slip away after the first purchase. If you want them to return, you need to fuel the relationship and nurture them even more.
You’ll want to shift your efforts to nurturing the relationship with a post-purchase strategy where you build on that trust, seek customer feedback to prove high customer satisfaction and reward their loyalty.
Some content you may want to create here includes:
- Thank you emails
- Follow-up emails
- Follow-up calls
- Product how-tos
- Reward program
5. Advocacy
The final stage of the B2B customer journey map is advocacy.
This is the stage beyond loyalty where your customers aren’t just coming back for more; they’re actively telling others about you.
This is the cream of the crop when it comes to the B2B buyer stages, and it happens when you exceed customer expectations repeatedly.
Your goal should be to eventually get all of your customers to this stage. Because then, they’re doing free marketing for you.
This is only possible when a customer receives enough positive B2B customer experiences with your company where the value they’ve received far exceeds what they perceived they have given.
Here are a few pieces of content you can create to fuel advocacy:
- Testimonial requests
- Referral program
Difference between B2C and B2B customer journeys
Every person on earth who buys something enters the customer journey.
But, not all customer journeys are created equal.
This is especially true when you compare the B2C and B2B customer journeys.
While there are similarities, the business-to-consumer (B2C) journey has clear differences compared to the business-to-business (B2B) journey.
The most obvious difference between the two journeys is that B2B customer journeys are far more complex.
Not only are these two companies selling to different audiences, but they also have to deploy a completely different set of strategies to lead their customers down the path as far as they can go.
While the journey structures are similar (from awareness to advocacy), there are differing motivating behaviours.
Here’s a table showing the difference between B2C and B2B in the customer journey:
Step-by-step guide to building a B2B customer journey map
Now that you’ve got a basic understanding of the typical B2B customer journey, it’s time to build out your map so you can create a visual representation of the journey.
Here are six steps you need to take to craft an effective B2B customer journey map in your business:
1. Identify your target audience (and different segments)
The first step in customer journey mapping is to look at your target audience.
You need to understand who they are and what different segments make up your audience.
You need to look at the different roles each person plays within the journey.
Unlike B2C, you’re not usually dealing with a single person. You likely have a few decision-makers you need to interact with to close a deal.
The average B2B deal involves 6 to 10 people .
Analyse the different roles and responsibilities of your audience.
Figure out what requirements they need to onboard you. Understand each person’s level of influence in the buying decision.
2. Determine your customers’ goals
Now that you have a clear understanding of each person involved in the buying process, it’s time to analyse their unique needs and goals.
Unlike B2C, which will include a single person with a single set of needs and goals, you have to look at several people through the decision-making process.
What is every decision-maker’s goal?
An entry-level admin will have much different goals than a CEO.
Understand each of their needs as it will be key to selling them and taking you to the next person in the chain of command.
3. Lean on data and analytics
Now it’s time to analyse your data.
You don’t want to guess what will work on your B2B buyers. Instead, leverage data that proves what’s working (and what’s not).
Analytics software like Matomo are crucial tools in your B2B customer journey toolkit.
Matomo can help you make data-driven decisions to fuel customer acquisition and loyalty to help get more customers all the way to the advocacy stage.
Using Matomo (which analyses and interprets different data sources) can give you a holistic view of what’s going on at each stage of the journey so you can reach your goals.

4. Draw out customer journey stages
Now that you have your data-backed plan, it’s time for some customer journey mapping.
You can do this on paper or use a diagram tool to create a visual B2B customer journey map.
Here, you’ll draw out every single stage in your customer journey, including every single touchpoint from different decision-makers.
5. Determine each customer touchpoint
Once you’ve drawn up the customer journey stages, you’ll have a key list of B2B customer journey touchpoints to implement.
Write down every single customer interaction possible on the journey through.
This could be reading an email, a blog post or watching a video on your home page.
It could be an advertisement, a phone call or a follow-up email.
It could even be a live demo or video sales call (meeting).
6. Identify your own goals
Now that you’ve got your visual B2B customer journey mapping done, it’s time to go back to you and your company.
What are your goals?
What are the end results you’re looking for here?
You’ve got your current map in place. Now, how would you like customers to go through this journey?
Where would you like them to end up?
Look back at your company’s primary objectives if you’re stuck here.
If your company is looking to increase profit margins, then maybe you want to focus more on retention, so you’re spending less on acquisition (and leaning more on recurring revenue from existing customers).
How to create a Matomo funnel to track your B2B customer journey
If you want to start tracking and optimising your B2B customer journey, you need to have a good grasp on your funnel.
The reality is that your customer journey is your funnel.
They’re one and the same.
Your customer journeys through your sales funnel.
So, if you want to optimise it, then you need to see what’s going on at each stage of your funnel.
With Matomo, you can map out your entire funnel and track key events like conversions.
This allows you to identify where your site visitors are having problems, where they’re exiting and other obstacles they’re facing on their journey through.
To start, you first define what events or touchpoints you want included. This could mean:
- Landing on your website
- Visiting a product page
- Adding something to cart
- Going to checkout
- Clicking “buy”
Then, at each stage, you’ll see conversion rates.
For example, if only 3% of your visitors go from landing on your website to the product page, you likely have an issue between your homepage (and other pages) and your product pages.
Or, if you can get people to add to cart, but you rarely get people going to checkout, there’s likely a problem to fix on your add-to-cart page.
By leveraging Matomo’s funnels feature , you get to see your entire customer journey (and where people are falling off) so you understand what you need to optimise to grow your business.
