After searching every aisle I finally interrupted an employee to ask if they had any different sized balloons (for a balloon arch) and they only had standard 12” with a limited color selection. He LOVES balloons and was looking forward to it all day. There was a man who came in (likely homeless) asking the cashier for money. The cashier knew him well and he was clearly welcomed and comfortable in the store. She turned him down and told him a story about her car. The man asked the cashier if he could ask me AND SHE SAID YES. This man cornered my son and I and blocked the onl y exit we had as we waited to pay. He asked for money. I told him I had no cash. Then he asked if I had a cash app! He continued to stand there showing me some pamphlet and continuously harassing me for money after I said no multiple times to his various options for payment. I felt absolutely betrayed that the cashier gave him permission to do this to me and then just let him harass me while I was there with my child. It was supposed to be a special visit and it was awful. Clearly this man frequents the store and I am not comfortable returning. … – show 0 0 Reply

• Althea August 21, 2021, 2:48 am Most disappointing experience; DO NOT COME HERE FOR BIRTHDAY BALLOONS!! Came here and spent 60$ on 6 balloons total for the balloons to not sit right at all and it just looked like a total mess. When I called they suggested that I just fix it myself which normally sure that would be understandable but not after spending 10$ per balloon! Overall the experience at Party Safari is much more enjoyable than a chain party store. If you're having a party or its someone's birthday Party Safari is the place to go. She told me I do not sound like that is my name. I never out myself to people because it opens a can of worms but I wanted the balloon for my anniversary. She told me she needed to see my ID to use my card because the voice doesn't sound like the name I gave her and she kept condesendingly calling me sweetheart. So I waited outside until someone finally opened the door. When she open the door she asked if I had a pick up order and I said no I wanted to buy some balloons because she already had 10 orders. She said she was not taking any more orders today. And I said “I can’t even get 4 balloons? I drove here and waited outside.” And she said that that would be cheating and did I want her to cheat? I am absolutely floored that a business would turn away a customer who drove there and knew nothing about having to preorder online. The employee said no and that she is sorry but she has other order to complete before store closes (orders btw for the next day). Since when is it ok to not serve a customer who walks thru the door during normal hrs asking to have 6 balloons blown up? Will never step foot in this place again. Every customer in the store was acknowledged and taken care of and laughing. Very refreshing to be treated so well by such nice young people. They both really know what they are doing. Wonderful Store

This is a wonderful store with great, fun and unique products. The staff and owner are always great and willing to help. It may take a little digging or a special order to get everything you need but no where in the Twin Cities has a better selection or more creative products, balloons and centerpieces. I will never shop at a different store for my parties!
