Pierce The Veil debuted atop Billboard ’s Top Rock Albums, Alternative Albums, and Hard Rock Albums charts twice – first with Collide with the Sky (2012) and its follow-up, Misadventures (2016). A decade after its release, the already platinum “King for a Day” shot to No. 1 on Billboard ’s Hard Rock Streaming chart, driven by the viral #KingForADay hashtag on TikTok. The band Rolling Stone once described as “hyperactive, progressive post-hardcore,” returns with album number five, full of fuzzy guitars, massive melodic hooks, and PTV’s distinct emotional heart. The Jaws of Life is Pierce The Veil at their most raw, crackling with urgency and immediacy. Never predictable, always engaging, Pierce The Veil continues to soar on the strength of highly potent energy, rich musicality, and a scrappy sense of authentic exuberant ambition that’s frankly unrivaled. Vic Fuentes, Tony Perry, and Jaime Precadio put volatile, angsty, confessional emotions into the music, which is why their songs resonant with so many. “No matter where the band performs, fans will show up,” wrote Loudwire . “When you see Pierce The Veil live, you’ll understand why.”

PTV’s evolution from album to album is nothing less than stunning. The early buzz generated by A Flair for the Dramatic (2007) made its follow-up one of the most anticipated albums of 2010. Selfish Machines shot to No. 1 on Billboard ’s Heatseekers chart. The Chicago Tribune saluted Collide with the Sky for its “post-hardcore punk with more than a few nods to Queen.” They became a true arena act on Misadventures , selling out huge venues without losing the intimate connection with their fans.

The Jaws of Life was produced by Paul Meany (Twenty One Pilots, Mutemath, The Blue Stones), and mixed by Adam Hawkins (Machine Gun Kelly, Turnstile, Twenty One Pilots). Deadly serious subject matter abounds, but Pierce The Veil enduringly navigates it all with grace. The lyrics continue the Fuentes tradition of painstaking honesty and clever twists of phrase. Growing out of the San Diego, California punk scene, Pierce the Veil was founded by brothers Mike and Vic Fuentes in 2007 after the demise of their previous band and furthered praise for their emo post-hardcore sound. After signing with Fearless Records in 2011, their third album Collide with the Sky was released in July 2012, peaking at No. 12 on the U.S. Billboard 200, as well as No. 1 on the U.S Alternative and Rock charts. They joined the Vans Warped Tour again in 2012, toured North America with A Day to Remember and All Time Low, and played for ticket buyers with Bring Me The Horizon in Europe and the U.K. in 2013. Following the break-up of the group Before Today, the brothers Fuentes continued writing songs and recorded a new full-length album in Seattle under their new moniker. This debut album A Flair for the Dramatic was released in June 2007 on Equal Vision Records. They recruited lead guitarist Tony Perry and bassist Jaime Preciado and played the Vans Warped Tour in 2008, as well as concerts with Breathe Carolina and Thursday. Their sophomore studio album Selfish Machines came out in June 2010 and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart.

Best concert.

I ALMOST SUFFOCATED IN THE PIT. But such a good concert I would do it over and over again if I could.

It was amazing!! I went with my best friend. They come during my birthday week so you know I had to go! It was just so exciting to hear the songs live and to be able to see the boys performing :( I loved the concert, they did great! Praying they come to Vegas again for their next tour. We had an awesome view too and the people were surrounded with were very nice. Love you ptv 😭

Best Night of my Life

After going to their show in November, I can proudly say that their music NEEDS to be heard live. It was my first concert and I am so happy to have been able to spend it with my girlfriend. She came for Destroy Boys and I came for them and PTV. It was a night to remember and HEARING HOLD ON TILL MAY COMPLETED MY LIFE

I’ve loved Pierce the Veil since 2011 and I’ve gone to see them as much as possible. Their sets are my favorite and I always have an amazing time. They are truly meant to be performers. I definitely recommended going to see them!!!!

So my daughter days mom one my of my favorite bands is coming to wind creek event center with the used she wants to buy tickets asks if I'll go.....one of my friends was already going so I was like sure I'm in..... we go to the concert opening bands we're cool I liked them both...then Pierce the Viel plays and suddenly I'm in love with a new band ...we saw you a 2nd time in reading Pennsylvania and I fell harder and we have tickets already to see you in Philadelphia with blink 182 in July....can't wait❤️😍😊

The Used + Pierce the Veil Announce Co-Headlining 2023 Tour With Three Other Special Guests

The Used and Pierce the Veil have just announced "The Creative Control Tour," a co-headlining North American run which will also feature special guests Don Broco , DeathbyRomy and/or Girlfriends at select stops.

Both groups will be out in support of 2023 albums with  Toxic Positivity from The Used arriving on May 19, just four days before the tour starts, and  The Jaws of Life , the latest from Pierce the Veil after a seven-year gap between full lengths.

It all starts in Austin, Texas on May 23 with a total of 26 dates on the books, the last being July 2 in Phoenix, Arizona.

"We are more than excited for our first tour with Pierce the Veil," enthuses The Used frontman Bert McCracken, "We've been friends for a long time and I know this will be a tour to remember. We can’t wait for you to hear some new music! We are so fucking stoked and will see you there!"
