Drive-thru tours let you meet some of the world’s wildlife. Join the fun and see some of your favorite animals as you’ve never seen them before. Our park offers many ways to discover the beauty of nature. There are three ways to explore Wild Animal Safari ® :

Drive-Thru Safari

Travel down our 3.5-mile trail and see many different animals along the way. Some of them may even get close to meet you and your family! Choose from the comfort of your vehicle, our safari rental vehicles, or a bus with a guide for you and your group to experience the thrill of the safari.

Walkabout Adventure Zoo™

The Walkabout Adventure Zoo™ allows you to meet the animals in a zoo-like setting. Stretch your legs and make friends with our resident Bengal tigers, African lions, peacocks, exotic birds, lemurs, monkeys, and much more.

The Yellow River Game Ranch is under new management and has undergone extensive renovations to provide the animals here with the best possible environment, care, and quality of life. Come visit the NEW YELLOW RIVER WILDLIFE SANCTUARY in central Gwinnett alongside the Yellow River, just minutes from Stone Mountain Park.

Officially a wildlife sanctuary, YRWS is still home to the original Bison herd, peacocks, and pigs. Come meet all of the new additions including albino wallabies, wolves, Fallow deer, ring-tailed lemurs, alpacas, and much more. Interact with the animals in our Petting Zoo. We also offer Field Trips , Guided Tours , and Encounters .

Yurt Rental Sites

Our Yurts, made of wood and canvas, provide a comfortable camping experience and feature outside decks, picnic tables, charcoal grill, metal fire pit, and a water spigot for your convenience. Inside, you will find log furniture, heat/air conditioning, electrical outlets, large windows, skylight, ceiling fan, lockable doors, and sleeps up to five guests all for your comfort. You will only need to bring sleeping bags or linens, and personal items. Guests are permitted to bring small refrigerators or coolers if desired. 

Our Yurts are smoke free so there is no smoking inside or on the decks of the Yurt.  Pets are not permitted in or outside the Yurt. Stone Mountain Park’s Yurts are charmingly furnished and the view from both the inside and the outside is nothing less than spectacular. Yurts are not equipped with restrooms, but are conveniently located adjacent to facilities. 

Check in time is between 2:00 pm and close of business (times vary) and check out time is by 11:00 am on your departure date.  Early check in before 2:00 pm is not available for Yurt reservations.

ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING AND/OR PETS ALLOWED INSIDE OR AROUND YURT RENTALS.

Please vacate your Yurt Rental on time to allow housekeeping to prepare for the next guest. Prices are subject to change without notice. Rates are not guaranteed. Nightly rates are based on 5 individuals or less per site. Maximum of 5 guests per yurt.

Green Lakeside Yurt Sites

Inside our wooden and canvas yurts, you’ll find traditional log furniture, heating and air, electrical outlets, space enough for up to even eight guests, and more.

Daily Parking fee not included for the day of arrival. Upon check-in, a parking permit for the rest of your stay will be issued. All discount cards must be presented at time of check in.

Yurt Site Details

Description: Camping? More like glamping! Inside our wooden and canvas yurts, you’ll find traditional log furniture, heating and air, electrical outlets, skylight, ceiling fan, lockable doors, and space enough for five, six, or even eight quests. It doesn’t get any more high-end than our state-of-the-art yurts! Although they’re not pet friendly, each yurt has it’s very own back deck overlooking the lake, private picnic table, charcoal grill, fire pit, and water spigot.

Additional nights & tickets can be purchased separately. Please note that full payment for tickets and any additional days must be made at the time of booking. Tickets are subject to availability and discounted rates are unavailable during some holidays. Daily parking fee not included for the day of arrival. Upon check-in, a parking permit for the rest of your stay will be issued.

Reservation Details

A two (2) night minimum reservation requirement and a one (1) night deposit will be taken at the time the reservation is made, except on major holidays (Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day). Major holiday reservations require a minimum of a three (3) night stay and payment in full at the time of booking. There are no discounts during this time.   

All Rental Unit campers may stay a maximum of 7 nights. After that stay, guests must wait a minimum of 7 nights before they can re-book.

5-DAY CANCELLATION POLICY

All cancellations must be submitted in writing by fax: 770-413-5082 or email: [email protected]

• Cancellations 5 days or more before the scheduled arrival date will receive a refund of their deposit less a $30 cancellation fee.
• Cancellations 5 days or less before the scheduled arrival forfeit deposit (Prepaid Packages, Yurts, and RV Rentals will also incur a $100 cancellation fee).
• Cancellations have a one-time option of moving their dates without penalty. A second move of dates will incur a $15 move fee. Only two date moves allowed. Reservations that have moved dates, then canceled, will forfeit entire original deposit.

CHECK-IN TIME:  2:00 PM or later. Early check-in may be available for regular sites only. No early check-ins for Yurts, Rental Trailers or Safari Tents. CHECK-OUT TIME:  12:00 PM for RV, Pop-up and Tent sites. 11:00 AM for Yurts, Rental Trailers, & Safari Tents. NO REFUNDS:  If you leave earlier than your scheduled departure date, no refund will be issued.

All Trailers, 5th Wheels, Pop-Up, and Motorhome campers may stay a maximum of 14 nights. After that stay, guests must wait a minimum of 7 nights before re-booking.
