Incredible! Looking forward to seeing all of you again in Toronto and Canada!I loved the song Renegades and Unsteady. They are nicely written and nicely sung. I went with my aunt, uncle, and a friend name Elizabeth.

My uncle loved the opening song Jungle. It really brought and caught everyone's attention including his.

My friend Elizabeth and I would like to pass on the message to Sam and Casey Harris the following compliments:

- For Sam, you have an incredible singing voice and Elizabeth and I look forward to hearing the song Joyful.

- Casey, you are a talented keyboardist. A wise friend once told me to spread this message to everyone and cherish this with your heart: "Smile. Always smile. Keep on playing and show those old and new generations that it isn't the disability that defines you."

Using Songkick was very easy and loved knowing all the artists playing in the city I was visiting. The venue was intimate and fantastic for small artists. The staff very friendly and helpful. Supporting act was wonderful but was a little disappointed in the X Ambassadors. The main singer over performs and I didn't feel his performance is connecting to the music. He needs to step back a little and really feel the music and stop worrying about the crowd moving their arms and holding up lights. If the crowd connects and feels the music they will do this naturally without being told.

WOW! This bands energy is beyond infectious. From the moment Sam bursts onto the stage it is impossible not leap from your feet and dance along. His voice is soulful, his audience interaction is impeccable and his general on stage performance is one of a kind. Casey is insanely talented and luckily showcases his own unique performance as well. Even with being visually impaired, he is a master of his craft and shows as much energy as Sam exudes. Adam and their newly added guitarist really round the band out to have one amazing live show. Be prepared to sing until your voice hurts, dance until your feet feel numb and have one amazing night with these talented guys! I will never miss the opportunity to see x ambassadors on tour again!

X ambassadors announce us tour supporting upcoming ’townie’ album.

X Ambassadors have announced a U.S. tour in support of their upcoming album, Townie .

The headlining outing kicks off May 4 in San Diego and wraps up June 15 in Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale Friday, January 26, at 10 a.m. local time, with presales throughout the week.

Multi-platinum rock band X Ambassadors have announced The Beautiful Liar tour. Kicking off October 15 in San Diego, CA at HOB, the tour will hit North America this fall with dates planned for Europe in early 2022.

X Ambassadors are a multi-platinum trio formed by brothers Sam Nelson Harris (vocals, guitar, saxophone, bass) and Casey Harris (piano, keys) while the pair were in high school in Ithaca, New York. Later joined by Adam Levin (drums) upon moving to Brooklyn, the trio have gone on to dominate the alternative charts over the last decade.

Forming in 2009, the band exploded with the success of their debut album, VHS (2015). The Platinum-certified album provides an intimate look into the childhood of Sam and Casey, and features massive hit singles “Unsteady” and “Renegades,” which have over 1.3 billion streams on Spotify combined and led the band to a three-year world tour. VHS was followed by ORION (2019), the Belong EP (2020), The Beautiful Liar (2021) and (Eg) (2023), a series of collaborative singles featuring artists such as BRELAND, Teddy Swims & Jac Ross, Medium Build, and PAMÉ.

Most recently, the band unveiled a new song, “Deep End,” which was written for and featured in the much-anticipated movie Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The track is just the latest contribution the band has made to major films following “Torches” (Transformers), “Great Unknown” (The Call of the Wild) and “Sucker for Pain” (Suicide Squad) among others.

Outside of X Ambassadors, Sam Nelson Harris has had an eclectic career as a songwriter and producer for artists such as D4VD, 21 Savage, Rihanna, Lizzo, Travis Scott, The Weeknd, SZA and Maren Morris. He has also collaborated with artists including Eminem, Jay-Z, Jacob Banks, K.Flay, grandson, The Knocks, Kygo, Illenium and Machine Gun Kelly. Sam has played the world’s biggest music festivals, headlined countless nationwide and world tours, celebrated a #1 song at Alternative radio and multiple songs in the Top 10. He has recently begun releasing his own solo music for the first time under the name of Sam Nelson.

Headliner Neil Young drops out of Bourbon & Beyond due to illness. Here's what we know

Bourbon & Beyond , the world's largest bourbon and music festival, is searching for a replacement act as one of the headliners, Neil Young , had to drop out of the festival.

In an Instagram post Wednesday , Bourbon & Beyond posted a message from Young that said a few members of Young's Love Earth Tour got sick after a show in Detroit and the group has not fully recovered yet and is taking a "big unplanned break."

"We know you made travel plans and apologize for the inconvenience. Thanks for your understanding and patience," Young's message read. "Health is #1."

The loss of Young's musical set will be felt at the festival this year, as many were excited to see the musical legend.

"To have one of the most influential artists of all time, Neil Young, headline Bourbon & Beyond this year is so incredibly special. Not only do I love his music, but I think there is a real authenticity in his craft that has inspired generations of artists to find their true voice,” Danny Wimmer of Danny Wimmer Presents previously said in a news release.

Bourbon & Beyond will share a replacement announcement once the festival has found a solution to fill Young's headliner spot.

When is Bourbon & Beyond?

The festival returns to Louisville Sept. 19-22, at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Exposition Center, 937 Phillips Lane. This year's show features two additional stages and 40 additional acts, The Courier Journal previously reported .

What is Bourbon & Beyond?

A multi-day festival celebrating whiskey and music.

The festival boasts 100 acts including headliners  Beck  on Thursday,  Dave Matthews Band  and  Tedeschi Trucks Band  on Friday,  Zach Bryan  and  Cody Jinks  on Saturday, and  Tyler Childers  and  My Morning Jacket on Sunday.

Aside from the music, festivalgoers will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of whiskey products with daily workshops and demonstrations hosted by renowned master distillers and celebrity chefs Chris Blandford, Amanda Freitag, Ed Lee, and Chris Santos.

The festival is not free. Tickets are currently available at  bourbonandbeyond.com .

How much are tickets to Bourbon & Beyond?

As of Thursday, single-day general admission passes start at $129.99 plus fees. Single day VIP tickets are sold out except for Thursday, with prices starting at $269.99.

Four-day general admission weekend packages range in price from $349.99 plus fees. Four-day weekend VIP packages are sold out.

Prices typically increase closer to the festival date.

Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson among Nashville stars named State Department global ambassadors

Grace bowers, breland, kane brown, jelly roll and lainey wilson are among 11 stars who will serve as u.s. global music ambassadors via a new youtube/u.s. state department partnership..

A quintet of Nashville stars are achieving U.S. Government and YouTube-defined mega-acclaim via a new initiative.

On Monday, U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken and YouTube's Global Head of Music Lyor Cohen announced that Chuck D, Grace Bowers, BRELAND, Kane Brown, Herbie Hancock, Denyce Graves, Jelly Roll, Teddy Swims, Justin Tranter, Armani White, and Lainey Wilson will serve as U.S. Global Music Ambassadors.

The new Department of State-YouTube partnership supports the Department's Global Music Diplomacy Initiative. This worldwide effort aims to, as a press statement offers, "elevate music as a diplomatic platform to promote peace and democracy in support of the United States' broader foreign policy goals."

From both a creative branding and digital access standpoint, Nashville favorites Bowers, BRELAND, Brown, Jelly Roll and Wilson have, in the past decade, distinguished themselves as country-to-crossover stars via their massive streaming and video appeal on platforms including YouTube.

Background on the partnership

This new partnership was catalyzed by the bipartisan, U.S. House of Representatives-introduced PEACE (Promoting Peace, Education, and Cultural Exchange) Through Music Diplomacy Act. This 2022 law authorized the State Department to work with the private sector to design and implement music-related exchange programs.

It was first introduced in the House of Representatives by Recording Academy-supported representatives Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) and Rep. Ted Deutch (D-FL) and advocated for by the Recording Academy during its annual GRAMMYs on the Hill Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C.

Achieving these aims via The Global Music Ambassador program mirrors how, 70 years ago, at the Cold War's inception, the United States sent artists like Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie and Sarah Vaughn overseas as diplomats able to bridge cultural gaps and cultivate goodwill via the Jazz Ambassadors program.

Starting in 1956, the State Department began hiring jazz musicians to improve America's public image in light of criticism from the Soviet Union regarding racial inequality and tension.

The "quality of their musicianship" and "integrity" of the selected artists were considered necessary, blending with jazz's strong association with racial equality and harmony via racially mixed bands.

In the decades since then, the U.S. State Department has maintained vestiges of the program in partnership with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The State Department has also sponsored hip-hop artists who have similarly toured in the Middle East.

Nashville's global ambassadors speak

For Jelly Roll — an oft-incarcerated ex-felon turned breakout country and rock superstar — he notes that being able to announce his first official international tour dates made partnering with YouTube and the U.S. State Department to be a Global Music Ambassador feel "especially meaningful."

BRELAND, an already frequently world-traveled performer whose curiosity, intellect and time spent with a family of gospel singers, added that time spent in South Africa informed him with a newfound appreciation of how "music was a unifier, a common language in a multilingual society, an integral part of their history and modern-day culture."

Moreover, in his Nashville career, going out to Australia to write songs with Keith Urban and watching his songs expand in global popularity has redoubled his passion for exploring how country music's "uniquely connective storytelling tissue" can "build cultural bridges around the world in a way only music can."

Bowers adds, "Music is one of the most important things to me and has brought so many incredible people into my life. I'm honored that I get to be a U.S. Global Music Ambassador, it's a very cool opportunity for music to bring the world together and help further peace."

Next steps for State Department/YouTube partnerships

In addition to the new U.S. Global Music Ambassadors, the State Department and YouTube will develop English language learning enhancers through music and across the YouTube platform.

Aspiring creators — initially in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, and India — will also be offered micro-grants to State Department exchange programs worldwide (notably to coincide with global moments, such as the G20 meetings in Brazil on Nov. 18-19, 2024) to expand access to "education, economic opportunity, equity, and inclusion."

The iconic Los Angeles punk band X is issuing what it is calling its final album, Smoke & Fiction , and has detailed plans for a U.S. tour. 

The quartet of vocalist Exene Cervenka, vocalist/bassist John Doe, guitarist Billy Zoom and drummer DJ Bonebrake said they will end following a farewell tour supporting their ninth and final album, a 10-track album which will be released on August 2 on Fat Possum Records .
