Project One: Why Trek’s Custom Build And Paint Job Really Is Within Reach

We’ve all been blown away by Project One bikes from Trek. They’re simply beautiful to look at and the bespoke component choices allow you to build the bike of your dreams. At Flamme Rouge, we have a steady stream of Project One orders flowing through the shop and have recently built at least one from each of Trek’s core road line-up – Madone, Domane and Emonda – as well as a truly fast Speed Concept time trial bike that is on display in the showroom (pictured middle).

There’s a couple of things that have historically put people off from ordering a Project One bike: the cost and the lead time. We have good news on both fronts. Lead times are coming down from about a year – a year! – to 30 to 40 days on average and we can offer part exchange on your existing bike and three-year 0% finance to make it easier on your wallet. More of that later.

Why go Project One?

A lot of the marketing from Trek is about the Project One custom paint job. While they really are amazing to look at, we think it’s more important being able to spec your bike exactly how you want it to fit and ride. You can flex your wheel choices, gear ratios, groupset… anything. Then we’ll do a bike fit to get your set-up perfect for your size and riding style. This is the real personalisation in Project One at Flamme Rouge.

Customers buy on Project One because they want the best performance; they want the ultimate riding machine. We find they are typically either at a point where they’re getting pretty serious about their riding or they are approaching a bucket list event they want the best kit for.

How does it work?

Come into Flamme Rouge and we’ll take you through the process:

1. Choose your model: The starting point is the core model. Do you want the speed of the Madone, the lightweight Emonda or the comfort of the Domane? If MTB is your thing, we can also do Slash, Rail, Fuel EX and more on Project One.

2. Choose your paint job: There are literally thousands of colours and design schemes to choose from. There’s virtually no end to the creative options.

3. Choose your parts: We think this is the biggest selling point. Take control of the whole spec down to the smallest component or choose a curated build if the sheer number of options is a bit overwhelming. We’ll work through it with you to get it exactly right.

4. Begin the countdown!: Your new bike could be with you as quickly as four weeks!

trek project one lead time

Making it more affordable

Cost is often a barrier to going Project One and understandably so, with a typical starting point of around £7,600. But we can now offer part exchange to bring the price down. We can also break the cost up by offering your new bike through any of the cycle to work schemes we accept, which enables you to pay in tax-free instalments through salary sacrifice, or with three years 0% finance on Klarna.

To give you a real world example of this, earlier this week one happy customer rode out the doors with an £14,500 Project One Madone SLR 9 (pictured top) for £5,000 less after trading in his old Gen 3 Madone. It’s also worth bearing in mind that if you buy an off-the-peg model and then upgrade the wheels, groupset or whatever, you’ve paid for two of each. With Project One you only pay once.

trek project one lead time

The Flamme Rouge Special

Right now we have a special build at Flamme Rouge. There is no way to get a Trek Madone SLR 6 Gen 4 (pictured above) – the one with the super-aero frame and the radical hole in the seat tube and the new Shimano 105 12 speed Di2 groupset. Trek have sold out and it’s not even available to order. So we have decided to take the build in house at Flamme Rouge; a Project Rouge if you like! We are offering this model with as little as four weeks lead time, and given it’s £2,600 cheaper than the next model up, the SLR7, it’s generating a lot of interest.

So, if Project One has always been a dream of yours but you’ve been put off by the cost and delivery delays, we think it’s time to look again because lead times are as little as one month, you can now reduce the cost through part exchange and you can also pay in instalments. Come and see our expert team in store in Bedford and we’ll talk you through the options.

Trek Madone 7-Series Project One - long-term review

Latest madone flagship walks a fine line between aerodynamics, stiffness and comfort.

You can trust Cyclingnews Our experts spend countless hours testing cycling tech and will always share honest, unbiased advice to help you choose. Find out more about how we test.

This article originally published on BikeRadar

Gallery: Trek Factory Racing reveal new kit design

We shared our first impressions of Trek's revamped 2014 Madone 7-Series Project One road racing flagship back in July and were generally quite happy with the experience. As always, the handling manners were impeccable, it was fairly comfortable and suitably quick under power – all while supposedly offering greatly improved aerodynamic performance over a round-tubed bike.

Several months later, our initial opinions haven't changed - if anything, they've only been reinforced. The latest Madone is Trek's best in many ways but the controversial rear brake placement hasn't won us over.

Ride and handling: telepathic handling, unflappably predictable

Our Madone reviews are starting to sound like broken records when it comes to describing the handling but given that it's so perennially exceptional, that's hardly a bad thing. When it comes to neutral handing, this really is the quintessential sweet spot between stability and agility. Calm high-speed manners inspire supreme confidence when bombing descents and yet the Madone is still amply quick to turn in when the corners start coming fast and furious. Simply lean it over, set an edge and rail through – often with no need to hit the brakes either.

Fit and rider positioning is still spot-on as well. We went with the more aggressive H1 geometry here with its lower front end and longer top tube, and found it just right when going hard. We've sampled the slightly more relaxed H2 version too, and found it provided a noticeably more upright ride but without compromising the superb handling.

As claimed, ride quality has improved over last year's version. It's a subtle change that many might not even notice, however, and we still wouldn't characterize the latest Madone's feel as pillowy smooth. It's exceptionally well damped and glides across good road surfaces without feeling overly isolating but neither end gives much on bumps of any size.

That being said, it rides quite well for a top-end machine whose primary intent is racing, particularly compared to other aero road machines that can sometimes be downright harsh. At least on the generally good roads we used during testing, the Madone is an easy machine to ride all day.

Overall stiffness is what we've come to expect from the Madone. Excellent front triangle rigidity lends extra precision and confidence to the handling traits, plus it makes for a solid feel when muscling the bars during out-of-the-saddle sprints and climbs. Rear end stiffness can't quite keep up with the front end but it's very good nonetheless and contributes to a generally sprightly and eager feel overall.

And have we mentioned yet that the new Madone is also light? Our complete test sample came with a custom Project One spec that includes a Shimano Dura-Ace 9000 mechanical group, Bontrager Aeolus 3 D3 carbon clinchers, and carbon fibre Bontrager finishing kit. The total weight for a 52cm size without pedals is a wispy 6.32kg (13.93lb). Actual weight of our 52cm frame is similarly svelte at 840g (with rear derailleur hanger and bolt-on housing stops) and the matching fork adds just 340g (195mm steerer, no plug).

Trek even claims some impressive aerodynamic savings over the previous round-tubed Madone: 25 watts at 40km/h, or about two minutes per hour.

So the latest Madone is stout under power, handles supremely well, reasonably comfortable, very light, more aerodynamic than before and puts its rider in a perfect position. What's not to like?

Unfortunately, it's that pesky rear brake.

Trek believes putting the rear brake calliper under the chainstays has multiple benefits. We're not convinced

Trek believes putting the rear brake caliper under the chainstays has multiple benefits. We're not convinced

Trek says the relocation of the rear caliper beneath the chainstays provides several benefits. For one, the chainstays are far bigger and stiffer than the seatstays so in theory, they should make for a more solid foundation and increased braking power. Moving the brake down below also frees up designers to slim down the seatstays for improved ride comfort, plus it cleans up the shape for supposedly reduced aerodynamic drag.

Despite the bridgeless seat stay design and their relatively slim profile, the Madone isn't appreciably more comfortable than other top competitors. The down-below location is also prone to road spray and debris kicked off of the front wheel, plus it's a very awkward location for maintenance. And while we didn't notice any unusual brake rub during our first few rides during the summer, we ultimately got several different wheelsets (including the stock Bontrager ones) to consistently contact the pads under hard efforts, even with relatively generous pad rim clearances.

The revamped brake location may very well over some measurable benefits but even so, we remain unconvinced that they outweigh the real-world drawbacks.

Frame: lightweight with proven OCLV construction

The Madone may not fit the mould of what many expect to see in a supposedly aerodynamic road bike but that's due to its Kamm tail design. Instead of complete airfoil sections, the Madone instead uses clipped profiles that are said to offer similar aerodynamic benefits while still maintaining more traditional aspect ratios for good stiffness and ride qualities – both of which the Madone has in good quantities.

As is the trend with most modern carbon road frames these days, there are no abrupt profile changes, overly sharp edges or wacky shapes built into the design. Instead, Trek has maintained a more engineering-centric philosophy with gentle transitions throughout. Also present are the company's long-standing Madone frame features, such as the extra-wide BB90 bottom bracket shell with drop-in bearings, correspondingly wide down tube and chain stay spacing, a tapered 1 1/8 to 1 1/2in head tube (again, with bearing seats moulded directly into the structure to save weight), and an integrated no-cut seatmast topped by a Bontrager moulded carbon fibre head.

Other niceties include a built-in chain catcher, the Duotrap integrated optional wireless speed and cadence sensor, carbon fork tips and rear dropouts, and internal cable routing that's convertible for mechanical or electronic drivetrains. None of the internal paths are fully guided but even so, we found servicing to be a pretty straightforward process as long as you're careful to first run a section of housing through before pulling out the old inner wires. More importantly, the paths are straight and direct so there's no penalty in friction as compared to an external setup.

The built-in chain catcher is a nice touch

The built-in chain catcher is a nice touch

We did encounter one unfortunate manufacturing related hiccup during our time with the Madone: a fork tip that was a touch too long, which kicked the front wheel off-axis if we pulled the axle completely in – not a lot, mind you, but enough that we noticed. We ended up having to ship our test bike back to Trek, where 0.5mm was ground off of one dropout to correct the misalignment. All was good afterward but this is not exactly what you want to see on a bike costing upward of US$10,000.

Equipment: flawless Shimano Dura-Ace 9000 group and fantastic Bontrager bits

Whatever gripes we can air on the rear brake position and fork tip alignment, we have nothing but positive things to say in regards to the new Shimano Dura-Ace 9000 group . It's utterly brilliant in every way that matters and corrects every mis-step of the previous 7900 package.

Shift quality is superb, with smooth and dependable changes under full power – especially up front, which is still best in class. Lever action is light, enviably precise, and silky smooth, plus Shimano has given back the ability to downshift three rear gears in a sweep. Lever ergonomics are also fantastic, with a smooth shape that falls naturally in your hands and a reach adjustment that's usable without detracting from the keen aesthetics.

Despite the unusual rear caliper placement and uncommon direct mount fitment, brake performance is excellent with ample power, a solid-feeling lever, and good control – provided you take the time to resurface the stock carbon-specific Bontrager cork pads. The rear quick-release that's built into the head tube stop is a little awkward to use during a wheel change but thankfully, we never really had to since the Bontrager Aeolus 3 D3 rims are roughly the same width as the 25mm tyres we used primarily during testing.

We had excellent luck overall with Bontrager's latest 35mm-deep carbon clinchers, which are admirably rigid, lightweight, reasonably stable in crosswinds, and seemingly durable thanks in part to well proven DT Swiss star ratchet rear hub internals. Tubeless compatibility would be the icing on the cake but in fairness, it's still a rarity in the road world.

We have plenty of praise for the rest of Bontrager finishing kit too. The Race X Lite IsoZone carbon handlebar does a fantastic job of sucking of road buzz and the matching carbon stem is impressively solid. Despite the minimal padding, the Paradigm XXX Carbon saddle is nevertheless comfortable and supportive for long days on the road too, thanks to its smart shape and generous central cutout.

Price: £10,311 BikeRadar says: "Overall, the latest Madone faithfully carries forward the range's hallmarks of brilliant handling, spot-on rider positioning, very good stiffness and good ride quality. Aero shaping and continuing weight losses only further improve the stock. However, the unusual rear brake position and the associated inconveniences mar what is otherwise a great bike." BikeRadar verdict: 3 1/2 stars More information: www.trekbikes.com

The Perfect Fit

Project One is more than your favourite Trek in your dream colours. It offers a custom experience that starts with a bike fit so you can be sure of the perfect fit out of the box. Your local Project One dealer will do a comprehensive bike fit with you before you order your bike. This will allow you to change stem length, handlebar width, crank arm length seat post length, cassette size and any other part in order for your Project One bike to be perfect. Even the saddle gets matched to your sit-bones and the colour of the bar tape and cables can be customized to your liking! Bespoke upgrades

Fancy a dropper seat post or carbon wheels? No problem. If you’d like to upgrade a specific part or entire groupset; you’ll only be charged the difference in cost between the original and your custom spec, with every cent of the additional charge or deduction in costs clearly showed along the way. Once all of this is done you will immediately be given an indication of the lead-time for Trek’s artisans to build your custom Project One Trek for you.

Frameset only option

These days there’s really no technical reason not to go for “own brand” components – whether it’s wheels, contact points or even tyres the “manufacturer’s own” versions have closed the gap with independent brands. But we all have our brand loyalties, so what happens if Trek/Bontrager don’t offer the combo you need? Well, whether you want an ENVE cockpit, or Mavic wheels, or literally any other combination you can imagine, we can help. The Speed Concept, Émonda SLR, Domane SLR and Madone SLR are all available as “frameset only” via Project One. So you can choose the colour and customisation you want and Trek will build it into your dream bike with your personal choice of components.

Naturally, they’ll make sure everything works perfectly together, and you’re still benefitting from their Bike Fitting expertise to ensure the perfect fit. A brilliant way to get a truly unique bike without the worry or hassle of scrabbling around for individual components.

Trek project one

  • Add to quote

Has anyone here used the project one program to order a Madone? Two weeks ago I ordered one (not the signature series) they said 14-21 days, should I expect to be a little late? Thanks.

trek project one lead time

Haven't done it, but with anything custom order, most places over promise, so that's what I'd expect. If it comes early, then you'll be happy.

Odds are it will be late. Ordered mine with paint and was told 45 days. I got it 5 days ago and it took 79 days. Go to treks thread and just start reading. It is worth the wait! go to Threads in Forum : Trek-Klein-Gary Fisher-Lemond

My B_I_L ordered a 6.5 with paint around Christmas. I don't know exactly when he placed the order, or how long the lead was quoted for him, but he is still waiting for his bike. I do know it has been more than 90 days...

nor_cal_rider said: My 6-series P1 was quoted 30 days originally for a signature paint scheme (ie customer selected colors/graphics) - took 92...and I agree with tv264 - definately worth the wait! Here's my idea of a simple/clean paint - with a bit of fun added with an unusual color: Click to expand...

Unfortunately stock Trek's are very common occurrences. The P1 allows you to custom order the 5.x or 6.x Madone that you want. Down the road I hope to order a P1 Trek.

trek project one lead time

When I was doing my research for a build they said 2-4 weeks for a project one, longer if you picked special paint. (Figure maybe double that). Problem was limited selection and options on parts/build. I then looked at custom Indy Fab 5-7 weeks for a Ti frame, Serrota was going to be about 8. All depends on time of year and their backlog. After my fitting and measurements, I was able to fit on off the shelf and ended up buying a stock S-Works Roubaix SL2 and picked all my componetry working with a not-so-LBS. (I live in Austin, but drove to San Antonio for this bike and build). 2 week turn around, well almost. We are waiting on my King Hubs and BB so the colors match from the same batch, so I'm borrowing from the bike shop. You waited this long to pull the trigger, another month or 2 and its all well worth it.

Bike of the Week | £13,050 Trek Madone SLR Project One

Incredible paint job commands £1,050 premium

Simon Bromley / Immediate Media

The Madone SLR is Trek’s top-end all-out aero bike and, back in July , it received a quiet update, moving from the much-disliked BB90 bottom bracket standard in favour of T47, adopting the brand’s highest grade OCLV 800 carbon layup and moving to disc only.

The launch was also notable for the large price-tag of the highest spec bikes, with the Madone SLR 9 Disc eTap coming in at £11,950.

We’re delighted to bring you that very model for this week’s Bike of the Week with an added twist – Trek has taken things a step further, with this particular bike sporting a Project One (Trek’s in-house customisation programme) paint job, bringing the bike to a whopping £13,050.

What is Bike of the Week?

Every week, we bring you a detailed first look at one of the latest bikes (or framesets) to arrive at BikeRadar HQ – from road to commuting, gravel to enduro, and anything in between.

This is our chance to introduce the bike and everything that makes it unique before hitting the road or trails.

Head to our Bike of the Week hub for previous editions.

That is, objectively, a great deal of money.

For that amount of cash you could actually buy three Trek Madone SL 6s – the cheapest version of the Madone and our 2020 aero road bike of the year – with £1,300 change left to upgrade the already good wheels on one of your clutch of aero wagons.

However, value is clearly not the point when you’re spending quite this much on a bike.

You are spending £13k on a bike simply because you can and nothing tastes better than those sweet, sweet gains – no matter how marginal they may be.

With that in mind, the build of the bike leaves absolutely nothing to be desired for the aspiring go-fast rider.

Built around a SRAM Red eTap AXS groupset – including the matching Quarq power meter that is integrated into chainrings – the bike looks outrageously clean, with not a single cable or hose on show.

The 60mm-deep Bontrager Aeolus XXX 6 wheelset is fitted with a set of Bontrager R4 320 clinchers in a 25mm width. These are, of course, tan wall to maximise Instagram points.

2021 Trek Madone SLR Project One paint job

Up front, the Madone uses a neat two-piece cockpit design.

The chunky stem clamps the bar vertically in a clamshell-like arrangement. This setup means there is no faceplate facing the wind, smoothing airflow.

The bar itself features an ‘extension’ that sits proud of the front of the stem – again, this is done to smooth airflow over the cockpit.

Going for this two-piece design as opposed to a one-piece cockpit means the bar or stem can be swapped or the bar rotated without giving up much in terms of aero performance.

Other than the aforementioned move to a T47 threaded bottom bracket and the adoption of OCLV 800 – which is claimed to shed 80g compared to the previous generation – the overall shape and features of the frameset remain the same.

In any case, features be damned, we know it’s that incredible paint job you're really interested in.

The deep purple-y kinda-peacock-like glittery-tastic iridescent-ish finish looks astonishingly good, shifting drastically as you view the bike from different angles. It really is quite unlike anything we’ve had at BikeRadar HQ and almost makes the £1,050 premium over the stock bike feel worth it… maybe.

RBA Test: Trek Project One Madone

trek project one lead time

The 2012 season was a big one for Trek when they unveiled a completely redesigned Madone mere months after debuting the race-winning Domane with its impressively effective IsoSpeed decoupler rear-suspension design. Earlier this year Trek called and spoke of an updated Madone in the works and asked if we’d be interested in ordering a new Madone 7 test bike through their unique Project One custom- build program. ‘A new Madone already?’ we asked ourselves. Well, not exactly.

trek project one lead time

THE FRAME When Trek went away from the standard seatstay-mounted rear brake on the Madone in favor of the direct-mount design on the chainstays, it helped them achieve their goal of increasing the bike’s aerodynamics, but they never could provide the braking power in the rear that we’ve become accustomed to. A new rear-end layup meant to improve rear braking power is the bike’s most notable change. And although visually it’s nearly identical to the previous design, the keenest of eyes will notice a size increase to the driveside chainstay. All other tube shapings stay the same, including the Kamm Tail Virtual Foil downtube, seat tube and fork blades, which allow Trek to achieve superior aerodynamics over a round or square tube without an added weight penalty. In terms of frame weight, the new Madone drops 25 grams, putting it with the industry super-lights at a claimed 725 grams (56cm with U5 Vapor Coat paint).

While the Madone joins an elite group in terms of weight, it stands alone among major brands in the fact that its OCLV carbon frame is made in the U.S. at Trek’s Waterloo, Wisconsin, facility. Something as distinguishing as this should get some attention, but for whatever reason, it gets very little. A small ‘Made in the USA’ sticker on the seat mast is all that acknowledges its origin, while ‘Designed in Waterloo, Wisconsin’ stickers on the seatstays occupy much more premium real estate. In addition to the various Project One paint options, two head tube lengths are available on the Madone: the H1 and a longer H2 version. We opted for the shorter H1 (3cm shorter on a 56cm frame), which allowed us to get into our ideal position with 1.5cm of spacers under the stem.

trek project one lead time

THE PARTS ‘Go wild’ was what we remember hearing Trek say when it came time to building our Madone test bike through Project One. Without a doubt, the P1 build program is the most complete custom-build program available in the industry today. And to maximize the opportunity, we invited RBA readers to play a role in our ‘Build Your Dream Bike’ contest. We had nearly 500 entries, with no two bikes exactly the same, thanks to Project One’s thousands of color combinations available for the frame, as well as a selection of SRAM, Campagnolo and Shimano groups, and all the Bontrager wheels, handlebars, stems and saddles to choose from. There were also options of SRM and Quarq power meters, ceramic bottom bracket bearings, in addition to color choices for handlebar tape, hood covers and cable housing.

For the build, we went with the latest Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 9070 drivetrain, along with their little-seen dual-post brakes, Bontrager Aeolus 3 carbon clinchers, XXX Lite handlebar and stem, along with a Paradigm XXX saddle. The whole package weighed in at just 14.2 pounds (56cm). Pricing for a stock Madone 7 Series starts at $7199, or $4399 as a frameset, but our Project One build was a ‘wild’ $12,463.

trek project one lead time

THE RIDE Let’s face it, the most notable feature of the new Madone is the fix to the chainstays to bring back needed stiffness and braking power. And that’s a good thing, because the 2012 version we rode suffered in both departments-although the poor braking could also be blamed on the janky in-house Bontrager brakes. Happily, our bike’s Dura-Ace post-mount brakes helped deliver a noticeable improvement in rear braking power compared to last year’s Madone. Although overall power is still slightly less than a standard seatstay- mounted Dura-Ace 9000 caliper setup, what the Madone and its brake design give up in sheer maximum power, they make up for with superior modulation, allowing us to better use what it does have.

On the road, the Madone is a pleasure to ride in any situation. It’s clear that although designed as a race bike, Trek believes that compliance is of equal importance in the bike’s DNA as the stiffness-to-weight ratio. Even with the 1 1/8-inch to 1 1/2- inch tapered head tube, the Madone has the smoothest ride of any non-endurance style road bike on the market. This isn’t necessarily something new to the Madone and is in fact aided by the Ride Tuned seat mast that gives it an extra level of compliance compared to a standard seatpost. Unlike other integrated seatpost designs that give minimal saddle-height adjustment, the Madone offers 6cm of adjustment. Combining the smooth ride with a longish 99.3cm wheelbase and impressive torsional rigidity from the head tube all the way to the rear dropouts, it handles high-speed corners with a graceful ease. This was a much-appreciated trait when barreling down serpentine descents through the Alps during the L’Etape du Tour.

trek project one lead time

THE VERDICT When you drop this kind of money on a bike with this kind of price, making any sort of concessions on performance is a deal-breaker. Fortunately, the Madone’s updates are spot-on. The improved rear braking and overall torsional stiffness let you take advantage of the rest of the bike’s skill set-a superb ride quality with exceptional handling. Although the Madone’s brakeless seatstays give it a unique look as is, Trek’s Project One paint and component options are something few others in the industry can come close to providing. The U.S.- made 6 Series Madone also receives the same frame updates and starts at $4599 for the complete or $3599 as a frameset.

PUNCH LINES ? Real individuality courtesy of Project One ? American-made-why not celebrate it? ? Top-of-the-line Madone could bankrupt a small country STATS Price: $12,463 (as tested) Weight: 14.2 pounds Sizes: 50, 52, 54, 56 (tested), 58, 60, 62cm For more info: Trek Bikes Road Bike Action

There is no sign of my bike some after some 64 days. My LBS says they are now looking at a date of 25 January, although this is not set in stone. They are unable to tell me why my bike is delayed, or offer alternative options to speed matters up. A friend of mine ordered a set of RXL wheels in September and has only received the rear wheel, with the front still on back order. He has been given no date yet for its arrival. I am reading between the lines in thinking that my bike is delayed because of the wheels. I wrote a complaint email to Trek and they will try to respond within 3 working days due to high volumes. This is not giving me much confidence when spending a not insignificant sum of money. The purpose of my post is two fold: 1) Is there a problem with Project One bikes at the moment? 2) Is there a problem with RXL wheels? Any recent experiences would be gratefully received.

That said, simple communication about status, newer estimated delivery etc can help apease even the most fussy customer. The old saw of "underpromise, over deliver" seldom seems to be applied. Going dark in the middle of these processes is what frustrates customers. Sadly, this model seems replicated over and over again.

With a Project One build, you choose the specification.  Select your preferred groupset (such as Shimano Ultegra or SRAM Red), select the wheels, brakes, handlebars and even the saddle. If you’re someone who tends to upgrade your bike, going the Project One route could make good financial sense, as a complete build (even custom) is usually cheaper than buying individual parts.

Project One is available across Trek’s road, mountain and time trial bike range.  So, if you’re looking for a Trek Project One Emonda, Slash, Speed Concept or any other eligible model, come and talk to our friendly, expert team to get the ball – and the wheels – rolling. We’ll advise you every step of the way to ensure you stay within your budget and get the most out of your new bike.

What’s the cost of Trek Project One?

There are three things that affect the cost of a Project One bike: the model you choose, the level of specification and your choice of colour. These are the things that will make your bike unique. Typically, the entry point to Project One is £7,000.

As networks make decisions about their programming, Us Weekly will continue to track what has been renewed and which TV shows have been canceled.

Slow Horses was the first show to score a renewal in 2024. In early January, Apple TV+ picked up the series for a fifth season, which will be based on Mick Herron ’s spy novel London Rules .

The series, which premiered in 2022, follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who have been assigned to paper-pushing tasks at the Slough House. Slow Horses stars Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden and Christopher Chung .

Minx, meanwhile, didn’t have the same luck when it was canceled for a second time. In May 2022, Max renewed Minx for a second season but reversed the decision by the end of the year.

Starz picked the show up — with season 2 premiering in July 2023 — but passed on ordering a third season. Before the cancellation was confirmed in January, Jake Johnson hinted that he didn’t expect good news .

“By evidence of me cutting my hair short, I don’t [expect a renewal],” Johnson told Deadline in December 2023, calling the series’ fate “unfortunate” because “there was a lot to that show.”

“I think the move to Starz — I think HBO kind of doing their HBO thing or HBO Max, whatever it’s called now — I think that was brutal for [the show],” he added. “Then, I think the strike coming out right as we were trying to promote it. … My guess is you can’t beat something up that many times and keep going.”

  12. Trek Project One lead times: Triathlon Forum: Slowtwitch Forums

The only possible answer is "it depends." Small changes in component spec can greatly effect lead times. For example, we got a heads up from the rep a while back that we should order bikes with white headset caps rather than black ones if we wanted to get them any time soon; black caps would add over a month to lead times.

I work at a shop that carries Trek so huge bias disclaimer. 22. Project One for MTB : r/TrekBikes

I would guess that trek is just too deep on their stock of prebuilt options so they've disabled project one for mountain bikes until that problem corrects itself.
