UAE Visit Visa Requirements for Pakistani Citizens

The Ministry of the Interior of the United Arab Emirates has implemented an online visa for travelers arriving in the country from more than 140 countries across the world, including Pakistan.

The eVisa for the UAE expedites the visa application process, making it quicker and easier to apply and receive your electronic tourist visa from Pakistan. This travel document can be requested and obtained online from the comfort of your home without needing to visit an embassy or consulate.

This page covers everything you need to know about the UAE eVisa for Pakistanis, including Dubai visa requirements for Pakistani travelers.

Main Features of the eVisa for the UAE for Pakistanis

The visa policy for the UAE defines which nationalities are eligible to obtain an electronic visa and what conditions must be met. Citizens from Pakistan can apply for the Emirati eVisa if their travel plans meet the following features:

  • Their trip will be for tourism and leisure
  • They will only need a single-entry eVisa
  • Their visit to the UAE will be temporary (30 days maximum)

Pakistani travelers must consider that once the eVisa is granted, they have 60 days to use the eVisa to enter the country. They must also plan their transportation to be by air only. The eVisa for the UAE is only valid at international airports .

We must remind Pakistani passport holders that the eVisa is offered for temporary visits only and cannot be used to take up any professional activity. If they are interested in relocating to the UAE for job-seeking opportunities or other long-term stays, we recommend to schedule an appointment at the Emirati Embassy in Islamabad or the Consulate in Karachi for more suitable visas.

Sub-Block TitleDo I need a Dubai visa for Pakistanis if I have the UAE eVisa?

The Dubai visit visa requirements for Pakistanis are the same as for the UAE . As Dubai is one of the Emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates, it falls under the same visa policy.

This means that the UAE eVisa is valid for trips to Dubai . If you are a Pakistani citizen traveling to Dubai, you can use the UAE online visa for your trip. The visa will automatically be valid for the other Emirates too (Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah).

Documents Required for the UAE eVisa for Pakistani Citizens

We recommend reading through the  visa requirements for Pakistanis before making any travel arrangements for the UAE. Applicants from Pakistan will find information about which countries they can visit with an electronic visa and what conditions they must meet to successfully obtain one.

The main requirements for the UAE eVisa for Pakistani petitioners include the following:

  • Possess a Pakistani passport valid for 180 days minimum on their arrival date
  • Supply a digital image of the biographical page of the passport
  • Provide a passport-style color photograph of the applicant in digital format
  • Use a credit or debit card to pay the UAE eVisa processing fee
  • Register their eVisa application with an active email address

Pakistani nationals should ensure their passport is valid for at least 6 months on the date they plan to reach the UAE. If this condition is not met, we request them to submit it for renewal at their earliest possibility.

They should possess a digital copy of their personal id photo (color and at 6 months old) plus a readable digital version of their passport’s biographical page. They should ensure their debit or credit card is activated for internet payments, and they apply with an active email address.

Visitors from Pakistan should also have their travel plans ready before they begin their eVisa form. During their petition, they should have decided to which Emirate they will fly to and their arrival date.

Application Process for the UAE eVisa for Pakistanis

The UAE application requires you to provide the following information:

  • Citizenship
  • Arrival date
  • Emirate of destination
  • Email account
  • Date of birth
  • Country of birth
  • Current profession
  • Qualifications
  • Reason for travel
  • Passport information

They will proceed by filling in their passport number, issue date, expiration, and issuing country.

It is very important to carefully review all this information before submitting the eVisa petition since any typos or mistakes could lead to a denial of their application. For their benefit, Pakistanis can also fill in the eVisa questionnaire in Arabic besides English.

Pakistani groups traveling to the UAE for a family trip can include any dependent in their eVisa application.  This includes spouses, children, or old age relatives. They will be required to share additional documentation such as marriage or birth certificates.

The eVisa petition is concluded with the payment of the processing fee . The payment is issued by a secure digital platform where most international bank cards are accepted. Pakistani applicants must simply check their cards are activated for online payments and carry sufficient funds.

Evaluation Process of the eVisa Applications by Pakistani Citizens

The Ministry of Interior of the UAE analyzes all the eVisa forms received. They usually submit a resolution to all petitions received between 1 and 3 business days . To account for possible delays during busy tourist seasons, we recommend submitting their forms at least a week before their visit.

Pakistani passport holders who have filled in their eVisa form correctly and meet the requirements will receive an approval email where they can download the granted eVisa via an accessible link. Upon receipt, we request them to print out a copy and keep it next to the rest of their documents.

Travel to the United Arab Emirates from Pakistan with the eVisa

Once granted, Pakistani nationals have 60 days to use their eVisa to enter the UAE. If they do not meet this requirement, their eVisa will not be valid, and they will need a new one. They must also plan their departure to abide by the granted 30 days for their stay.

Visitors from Pakistan should also confirm they will fly to the same Emirate airport they selected during their application process. Once they land, they are recommended to head straight to the queues reserved for eVisa Travelers of their nationality to save time during passport controls.

They will be requested to supply their passport and printed eVisa to border officials before being allowed to enter the country and enjoy their trip.
