Agra Cantonment is the main railway station in the Indian city of Agra. It is located near the Sadar Bazaar towards the southwest of the city. It lies on the main Delhi–Chennai and one of the Delhi–Mumbai lines.

In compliance with the Government of Uttar Pradesh’s regulations, the contest centers around locations falling within the categories of Nature or Wildlife, Spiritual or Temple, and Heritage. The evaluation process for our esteemed photography contest, showcasing the captivating historic places of Agra, Hathras, and Firozabad, will be carried out in two stages.

In the initial stage, a committee constituted by the organizing team will conduct the shortlisting process. They will carefully assess all the submitted entries based on the adherence to the contest guidelines and the depiction of the designated categories: Nature or Wildlife, Spiritual or Temple, and Heritage.

Once the shortlisting is complete, the Indian Missions in the respective countries will take charge of the final evaluation to determine three winners in each category. This country-specific evaluation process will ensure that the essence and significance of the historical locations are accurately represented in the selected entries.

In case of a high number of entries, a two-stage evaluation may be implemented, with a larger committee performing the initial screening. To ensure a fair and comprehensive evaluation, well-respected experts in the field of photography and heritage preservation may be involved in the final country-specific selection process.

After the submission deadline on 10th July 2023 at 17.00 hrs, the country-specific winners will be eligible for the global evaluation. The organizing committee, in coordination with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), will then evaluate and recognize the outstanding entries on an international platform.

• In order to participate in this contest, all the entries must be received by this deadline, as per the aforementioned guidelines.

Contest Terms and Conditions:

1. Participants must submit a photograph depicting the captivating historic places of Agra, Hathras, and Firozabad against a background, along with a short slogan/theme (not exceeding 15 words) that resonates with the photograph. The entry should also include the name of the historic place.

2. The photograph can be taken against various backgrounds, including Heritage Sites, iconic places, Scenic Nature, Tourist destinations, lakes, rivers, hills, forests, studios, or homes.

3. The contest is open to all, regardless of age, gender, profession, or nationality. However, employees of the organizing team and their relatives are ineligible to participate due to potential conflicts of interest.

4. Personal identity details such as name, caste, and country must not be disclosed in the photo entry.

5. Each participant can only submit one photo. Multiple entries or submissions will result in disqualification.

6. All entries/photos must be submitted in digital format and uploaded on the specified platform. The file format should be JPG/JPEG/PNG, with a file size not exceeding 20MB.

7. Submissions are accepted only through the form on this website; no other form of submission will be considered.

8. The deadline for submissions is 27th Sept at 23.00 hrs IST. The organizing team reserves the right to extend or shorten the deadline at its discretion.

9. Entries with incomplete or deficient information will be disregarded. Participants must ensure all provided information is complete.

10. Photos containing inappropriate, offensive, or unlawful content will be discarded and disqualified.

11. Attempting to influence the evaluation process in any way will lead to disqualification.

12. Participants must provide accurate information regarding their age. False declarations will result in disqualification.

13. Participants below 18 years of age may participate with the consent of their parents or legal guardians.

14. Decisions made by the screening committee and evaluation committee are final and binding.

15. Participants acknowledge that their submitted photos are original and do not infringe on copyrights or intellectual property rights of others.

16. By entering the contest, participants agree to the organizing team owning all rights, titles, and interests, including Intellectual Property Rights, in the submitted contents. Participants also consent to the usage of their entries for future promotional activities.

17. Copyright infringement will lead to disqualification and forfeiture of any prizes.

18. Shortlisted applicants may be required to provide additional information within 5 working days; failure to do so may result in disqualification.

19. Participants are responsible for any costs or damages incurred during the contest.

20. Participation in the contest is free of charge; no fees are required.

21. The organizing team holds the right to modify, extend, or cancel the contest at its discretion.

I had a really great adventure overall. My favorite experiences were On Day 2 in Agra. My Tour guide, Hilal was an incredibly kind, patient, knowledgeable and genuine person to share the day with across Taj Mahal, Red Fort and the many beautifully skilled spaces of local craftspeople. I’m very appreciative for his attentiveness; always being available to answer my questions, sometimes even before I could asked them. Hilal took some of the best photos of me from my entire trip. Which, as a solo traveler, can be such a luxury to have. And for Sunil, he’s the coolest driver! Very personable and very professional! He made the experience all the more comfortable, safe and timely. He went above and beyond helping me check into each hotel, always making sure I had water/food during our travels and plenty of rest stops for bio breaks. I also noticed that he was protective of the vehicle, not allowing some pedestrians to beg for money if the surrounding circumstances made it likely. In turn, I felt very comfortable and grateful traveling with him through all three days. Not to mention the convenience afforded to my tour guides and I, being dropped off and picked up directly in front of each destination. Thank You! Thank you! Thank you!

Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour for 2 Days by Express Train

So, I kind started the tour with a bit of a rough start. My Delhi driver didn't seem to know how to get to the train station, then I felt pressed to take a tuk-tuk that I couldn't afford, to get dropped off. Then was pressed by him to get money from the ATM, which none of the three at the station worked for me. I was feeling pretty skeptical about the tour I had purchased and that I had been thrown out there on my own,but my tour guide in Agra, Faz, quickly decreased my worries and immediately brighted my mood for the rest of the time I spent with him on the tour. He pleasantly welcomed me to Agra with a beautiful flower garland and was very professional and polite. He spoke perfectly clear English and was easy to understand. He clearly has a lot of knowledge, passion and pride in the historical, religious and artistic beauty of the cities sites. He had a lot of special insights and knew best how to plan things. He was great at both offering to take pictures and at taking them, some unique and fun. Additionally, he was very considerate and carried my bag and sweatshirt for me so I could enjoy taking my own pictures and not have to deal with them, such a gentleman. He was very easy to talk to and open to questions. As mentioned earlier, I had cash/ATM issues and he stepped right up until we were able to resolve this, paying for entry fees. Then he was more than patient when this unfortunately took several stops to successfully resolve. I really felt he went above and beyond. He was very kind and understanding, despite my embarrassment that this couldn't get easily resolved. He had an engaging, fun, but very professional quality. I was highly impressed. He's the most delightful and professional guide and I highly recommend him. I was very saddened that I would be getting a new tour guide as he was wonderful. He always wanted to make sure I was enjoying the sites and was feeling good with how things were going. Definitely a top notch professional, highly knowledgeable and great character. I absolutely loved my tour with Faz. I'd give him over 5☆☆☆☆ My guide in Fatehpur sikri, was also quite pleasant. I was only with him for a few hours in the city, but he guided me through things well and was helpful. He had a great knowledge of the area and seemed to enjoy the history. He even helped me get rid of an obnoxious peddler, which was appreciated. I did however feel that he was a bit pushy in a shop we went into and I spent more money than planned/could afford. My driver, Chetan, was always punctual and I had no complaints. Although, he didn't speak much he was always polite and professional when he did. I really appreciated him expertly maunvering through all the crazy traffic. He did amazing. ☆☆☆☆☆ The hotel was fabulous and had a beautiful rooftop pool and spa. You could even see the Taj Mahal from there (just barely through the smoke). The restaurant and breakfast were both good. No complaints at all. The train was fine, not luxury or similar to US. Food was not bad considering it was train food, which I compared to being similar to plane food. Everything was great really, except my drop off in Delhi and my pickup in Delhi were I never connected with the driver and ended having to pay to take a chilly ride in a tuk-tuk. They did try and contact me when I arrived in Delhi (my service is inconsistent),but it would have been better to have this information before Ieft Agra. I believe this would have negated the problem as could directly go where I needed to go. This was done before I left for Agra, why not Delhi. So, the guides, hotel, driver in Agra and train I had no issues. Just a bit with the drop off driver in Delhi and confusion over pickup, but overall good tour.

WASHINGTON – Vice President Kamala Harris announced today that she will embark on a nationwide Economic Opportunity Tour with a series of events focused on investing in communities, building wealth, and ensuring every American has the freedom to thrive. The Vice President’s tour will take her back to several states across the country as she highlights how the Biden-Harris Administration has built economic opportunity and delivered for the American people. The Economic Opportunity Tour will kick off with a moderated conversation in Atlanta, GA on April 29 and an event in Detroit, MI during the following week. Additional dates and locations will be announced soon.

“President Biden and I are committed to creating an economy in which every person has the freedom to thrive. That is why we have taken historic steps to advance economic opportunity by increasing access to capital, investing in small businesses, addressing housing costs, forgiving student loans and medical debt, investing in infrastructure, and championing additional policies that put money in people’s pockets and build wealth,” said Vice President Harris.   “Our economic approach has delivered great progress, and we will continue to invest in you, your family, and your future.”

During the Vice President’s Economic Opportunity Tour, she will highlight how the Biden-Harris Administration has delivered historic investments that have supported communities and helped people thrive. This includes making unprecedented investments in small businesses and achieving the fastest creation of Black-owned small businesses in more than 30 years, creating a record number of jobs, increasing access to capital for underserved communities, investing in infrastructure, cutting the price of insulin and expanding access to health care, erasing medical debt, forgiving more student loan debt than any administration in history and boosting investments in education, making housing more affordable, lowering child care costs, and increasing the wealth of American families. Vice President Harris will also outline additional steps that she and President Biden are taking to expand this work. She will be joined on the tour by Administration officials, members of Congress, local leaders, and other special guests.

The Vice President’s tour is a continuation of her nonstop travel to communities across the country. She has made more than 35 trips to 16 states since the beginning of 2024. This includes consistent travel to meet with small business owners and entrepreneurs in underserved communities to discuss challenges and opportunities they face. In March, she traveled to Black Wall Street in Durham, NC to announce $32 million in funds to support historically underserved entrepreneurs. She began the year in Las Vegas, NV where she announced an SBA rule that will ensure millions of Americans who have served time are eligible for SBA loan programs that help individuals start and run small businesses.

The Vice President has long been focused on ensuring that minority, rural, and low-income communities have the capital and resources they need to thrive and support small businesses. Last year, she announced that Treasury’s CDFI Fund has awarded over $1.73 billion in grants to 603 Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) across the country. In 2022, the Vice President also announced a first-of-its-kind public-private sector initiative — the Economic Opportunity Coalition (EOC) — that is a historic public-private partnership of more than 20 private sector organizations that will invest tens of billions of dollars to create opportunity and grow wealth in historically underserved communities. The EOC has already surpassed over $1 billion in increased member company deposits into community finance institutions. As a Senator, the Vice President partnered with key Congressional stakeholders to secure a transformative $12 billion investment for CDFIs and MDIs in December 2020. Since that time, she has worked to ensure these programs are as successful as possible.

Griffin Wood on where he’s played most of his professional golf to this point… “I've got a lot of mini tours in the U.S., played on the Dakotas Tour, I played everywhere, APT a little bit, the Asher Tour out in Phoenix and I played (PGA TOUR) Canada two years ago. I had conditional, so I played there half a season. Last year I had conditional, but I didn't get into anything. Yeah, so mostly in the U.S. I've been playing full time for about five years in total even though I'm a little older. I had to take some time off. A little later progression.”

Wood on what was behind his extended break from professional golf… “ I had a back injury where I couldn't play for a couple years. When I came back, I was not shooting 60s on courses. I had to work to support myself and try and get my game back and try and play as much as I could. I played one year out of college. So I graduated in 2012, played for a year. Played pretty well, like was ‑‑ so I kind of proved to myself I could do it in small mini tours. Then I got hurt right before Q‑School right out of college, it would have been 2013. Then I was off for a couple years and was kind of pedaling around for a while. I've been back for the last four, I'd say, playing pretty full time and trying to get back.”

Wood on the playoff at Monday’s open qualifier… “I was playing solid golf and I bogeyed my last hole in regulation. It was a pretty easy hole, and I was pretty devastated because I thought that would be the difference. But I rebounded really well, because after I made that bogey, you know, you can go south quick. Me and another guy, Matt Atkins, birdied the first hole in a 5‑for‑2 (playoff). I had my head on straight, that was the big thing, and I was able to play right after I finished. I went right to the playoff hole, which helped. We finished in the dark, we didn't have any more time to play another hole and it worked out perfectly.”
