3 island boat trip split

Three Islands Tour with a Big Boat

Three Islands Tour is a full day excursion with a big boat to Shipwreck at Nečujam bay, Maslinica on Šolta and Blue Lagoon. Besides swimming, snorkeling and sightseeing, lunch and drinks are also included in the price. It is one of the most popular trips, considering what you get and how much it costs for a full day tour.

Why choose Three Islands Tour

Excursion is best suited for families and people that prefer peaceful trip instead of speedboat adventure. Not only that  we go with a big boat  but this is  inexpensive boat tour where you also have lunch and drinks included in the price.

We go to the first line of islands  which are closer to Split and unlike speedboats, this type of boats spend less fuel and can take more people onboard. This leads to a better price for you, the consumer which is why full day tour with a big boat is cheaper than half day tour with a speedboat.

Also, if you're afraid of speedboats, want to go with kids on the tour, you like jumping from a top deck of a big boat or you just want more shade or more space onboard, than this trip is made for you.

You can choose between meat, fish or veggies for lunch

When it comes to lunch,  you can choose between fish, meat or vegetarian menu . You also have free drinks on the boat, including water, juice and wine. If you want beer, you have to buy it or bring your own.

1.) Shipwreck at Nečujam bay

Nečujam bay on Šolta island is our first stop on Three Islands Tour. We anchor near the ancient shipwreck which is a perfect spot for swimming, sunbathing and jumping off the boat.

However, the shipwreck under the sea provides great opportunity for snorkeling and exploring the secrets of an old and once lost time and history of Šolta island . You can grab snorkeling equipment from the boat and dive underneath. It's free.

Shipwreck bay at Nečujam

That being said, you can also swim to the shore or enjoy in the scenery of crystal clear sea surrounded by lush green forest of pine trees, while the crickets and waves hitting the shore provide calming atmosphere in the bay.

Although it is sometimes organized in a restaurant on Maslinica or at the Blue Lagoon, lunch is  usually  served on the boat during Three Islands Tour. During cruise between our first, Shipwreck bay, and our second destination, Maslinica, which depends on the number of people onboard and the boat itself.

Shipwreck at Nečujam

2.) Maslinica on Šolta

Maslinica is our second destination on Three Islands Tour. It is small, charming town situated in a bay on the western part of Šolta island.

It was once a fishing village, but it slowly turned into a tourist and nautical center of the island. Maslinica, which on Croatian means olive, welcomes each year an increasing number of guests and lovers of orchards.

On the western side of town, you will find pebble beaches and beach bars, while there are plenty of restaurants and few markets in the center of the town. You will also notice old houses made of stone and historical castle Martinis Marchi, surrounded by pine trees.

If you want to take nice pics of the place, we recommend climbing on the small hill above castle Martinis Marchi from where you can see entire town, besides the beaches which are on the western side. In the heart of the town there are small shops where you can buy souvenirs as well as lavander and olive oil which are synonymus with the town and the island.

Maslinica

3.) Blue Lagoon at Drvenik Island

Our third destination and maybe the best place on the tour is secluded lagoon surrounded by two small islands (Krknjaši) and bigger island of Drvenik.  Blue Lagoon is picturesque location perfect for snorkeling  , thanks to turquoise color of the sea and shallow sandy sea bed.

Nature has created something special here as sun rays reflect from the white sandy bottom which creates colors and shades of blue and green that you will remember for a long time.

Although  snorkeling gear is free,  there aren't always enough masks for everybody but you can bring your own, if you want. Speedboats can fit up to 12 to 14 people, while our boats for Three Islands Tour can fit up to 100 people.

Also, since the lagoon is quite shallow and the boats are quite big, we usually anchor in the middle of the lagoon. That being said, many of our guests prefer jumping from the boat, especially from its top deck, the sundeck.

Three Islands Tour - Boats

We visit Shipwreck bay at Nečujam, Maslinica on Šolta and Blue Lagoon with our biggest boats. These boats have two decks. First deck is proteced from the sun, while second deck is a sundeck with sunbeds or benches lined up on both sides.

Boats are 15 - 23 meters (50 - 75 feet) long and 4 to 5 meters (13 - 16 feet) wide with powerful diesel engines, fridge, GPS, VHF, full safety equipment and a toilet onboard.

Boat for up to 100 passengers

3 Island Tour From Split – Is It Worth It?

The Croatia 3 Island tour in Split is one of the most popular activities to do in the city, and if you’re pressed for time it’s the ideal way to cram a bit of island hopping into your itinerary.

After having the time of my life on the wonderful 5 island tour, I caught the island hopping bug and just wanted more! For this reason, I decided to book myself on the Split 3 island tour, another very popular island hopping route from Split.

Although if I had to compare I did prefer the 5 island tour over the three island tour (more island time is always better), the 3 island tour is the perfect introduction to Croatian island hopping if you’re on a time or budget constraint.

There are a tonne of operators offering this tour, but, after doing extensive research, I decided to opt for this epic 3 island tour .

Here is why I chose this tour over all of the competitors:

  • Snorkel gear is included in the price.
  • Booking via Get Your Guide means you have extra protection. Their cancellation policy means you can cancel up to 24 hours before the tour for a full refund, which is helpful as plans can change.
  • The tour is in the ‘ G Originals ’ category. This means it is one of the highest-rated tours on Get Your Guide, so Get Your Guide has added its stamp of approval to the tour. This is quite rare!

trogir croatia from the waterfront

Unlike the 10-hour 5 island tour, the 3 island tour is the perfect half-day activity. It lasts around 5.5 hours , and costs around half of the price of the 5 island tour, at around €59 . This makes it perfect if you fancy jumping on a speedboat and going island hopping without spending a fortune.

Top tip: What currency is used in Croatia? As of 1 January 2023 the currency in Croatia is now the Euro. All prices in this post are listed in Euros.

Table of Contents

Stops on the 3 Island Boat Tour from Split:

  • Blue Lagoon

This itinerary means you’ll get a little taste of everything – you get to explore the stunning old town of Trogir, go snorkelling in the bluest waters you’ll ever see at the Blue Lagoon, and lounge on the dreamy shores of Šolta island.

The Boat Ride

island hopping tours from Split

I met my tour group bright and early at the Toto Travel office by Split harbour at 8.30am . If you fancy a lie-in, though, they also run this tour at 2.30pm . There were only seven of us on the tour, which made me very happy – I love small groups!

Just like the 5 island tour, we hopped on to a speedboat, the most fun way to get around in Split!

The first boat journey, to Trogir, lasted around half an hour, which I spent admiring my gorgeous surroundings and listening to our tour guide tell us all about local life in Split and the history of Trogir.

It can get very windy on the journey and no matter how hot the day might be, chances are you’ll get cold on the boat. For this reason, be sure to pack both a sweater and sunscreen.

Stop 1 – Trogir

3 island boat trip split

As you step off the boat, you’ll understand why so many people visit here on a short trip from Split. The charming old town in Trogir was declared a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1997, and every corner of it is goooorgeous!

Although there are a few fun things to do in Trogir , this isn’t a town crammed full of attractions, so I was glad I just spent 90 minutes or so here during the 3 island tour rather than making a dedicated journey just to visit Trogir from Split, as so many tourists do.

Your first stop at Trogir should be Kamerlengo Castle , which dates back to the early fifteenth century. You can pay to enter the castle, which costs €1.30 or just walk around its walls for free.

I recommend spending some time strolling along the Trogir promenade and also checking out the clock tower and city loggia, a perfect example of the postcard-perfect architecture in Trogir.

Stop 2 – Blue Lagoon

blue lagoon from split, croatia

By now, the day was getting HOT, so I was thrilled to be returning to the Blue Lagoon, a stop that was also included on the 5 island tour and a place that I fell in love with.

You’ll find the Blue Lagoon in between the islands of Veliki and Krknjasi, and it gets its name from the unbelievably blue water that stretches between the two. It’s the perfect place to go swimming and snorkelling to cool off from the scorching Croatian sun!

This is when it also becomes very convenient that the 3 island tour I chose included snorkel equipment.

You’ll have around 1 hour at the Blue Lagoon to chill out and soak in the sights before continuing to the third and final stop on the 3 island tour – Šolta!

Stop 3 – Šolta

islands near split, croatia

It’s a pretty wild statement, but you’ll believe me when you see it for yourself – I think Šolta is one of the most beautiful places in Croatia!

This tiny, unspoilt island is one of the lesser-known islands near Split, meaning you’re likely to enjoy some peace and quiet when you’re here. It’s one of the hidden gems when island hopping in Croatia.

You’ll dock at Maslinica, the only village and port on the western side of Šolta. There’s pretty much nothing to do here except to go wandering around the island or chill on the beach, which are the only two things you would even want to do since this place is just so dreamy!

After taking in the views of the lovely Šolta, it’s time to head back to Split. The journey will take around 30 minutes , and by now I guarantee you’ll feel so chilled out that you’ll practically float off the boat when you dock back in Split!

Should I Book the 5 Island Tour or the 3 Island Tour?

If you’re researching the 3 Island Tour, chances are you’ll come across the 5 Island Tour as well. The 5 island tour is basically a longer and more comprehensive island hopping tour from Split.

I actually went on both of the tours, and although I loved the 3 Island Tour, I have to admit… the 5 Island Tour is a million times better.

Not only is it pretty much double the duration of the 3 Island tour, but the stops are (in my opinion) more interesting. It’s better value for money, in my opinion, if you have the extra money and time to spare. You can read my full review of the 5 island tour here .

However, if you don’t have the spare money or time, fear not – the 3 Island Tour is still definitely worth it .

If you’re wondering what the differences between the two tours are, I have summarised them below:

How Far in Advance Should I Book?

3 island tour from split

As early as you can! Get Your Guide has an excellent cancellation policy so it’s worth bagging your place as soon as you can and taking advantage of their awesome flexibility. In peak summer months, tours can sell out fast (especially the best ones) so it pays to be organised. You can book your place here :

I had an amazing time on the 3 Island Tour From Split and highly recommend you go on it if you’re in Split! It’s the perfect introduction to the Croatian islands, and one of the best boat excursions from Split .

FAQs about the Three Island Tour from Split

What should i pack for the 3 island tour.

Pack a sunhat, SPF 30+ sunscreen, sunglasses, towel, swimsuit, sweater and lots of water. I cover all of this and more in my ultra-detailed Croatia packing guide , so don’t forget to check that out!

What’s included on the Three Island Tour from Split?

You get great value for money on this tour! Your speedboat ride, skipper and guide, snorkelling gear, life jackets, bottled water and a guided tour of Trogir are all included in the price of your 3 Islands Tour.

What is the 3 Island Tour in Split, Croatia?

The 3 Island Tour is a boat tour that takes you to three beautiful islands off the coast of Split. It’s an all-day excursion that allows you to explore some of the most stunning places in Croatia.

Which islands are included in the tour?

The tour typically includes visits to the islands of Trogir, Šolta, and Drvenik Mali.

Can I bring my own food and drinks on the 3 Island Tour?

Yes, you can bring your own food and drinks on board the boat. However, since this is a half-day trip, your best bet is to eat before and after the tour and save yourself the hassle. If you don’t bring your own packed lunch, you’ll get the opportunity to dine on the island of Šolta.

Is the 3 Island Tour in Croatia suitable for children?

Yes! In fact, since this tour is only a half-day tour, I’d argue that it’s the best boat trip from Split for kids to go on. There’s ample time for sightseeing, swimming and exploring, meaning your kids won’t get bored. The distances you’ll need to travel on the speedboat are also less, meaning it’s less likely you’ll encounter seasickness.

How long does the 3 Island Tour last?

The 3 Island Tour usually lasts around 5.5 hours.

Is the 3 Island Tour suitable for people with mobility issues?

That totally depends on your mobility issues. The tour involves getting on and off the boat several times and walking on uneven terrain on some of the islands. If you have specific concerns, it’s best to contact the tour operator directly to discuss your needs.

What is the best time of year to take the Split 3 Islands Tour?

The best time to take the 3 islands tour in Croatia is from May to September, Croatia’s summer. The three island tours only run in these warmer months due to sea conditions and cold temperatures in the Croatian winter.

Best Boat Tour From Split In 2024

With more than its fair share of rich history to explore, Split is the ideal spot to soak up what this slice of the  Dalmatian Coast has to offer .

Make sure you spend a day of your itinerary  embarking on an adventure on the high seas. With countless nearby islands just offshore, as well as sparkling bays and beautiful beaches scattering the sea, a boat day trip reveals lesser-trodden beautiful Dalmatian islands to discover.

SJ, Mirela and Maria posing for a photo on a party boat in Split, Croatia.

Choosing boat tours from Split is easier said than done. There are so many options to explore this part of Croatia by boat , with a range of different itineraries, prices, and types of boats involved – from full-day trips on large tour boats to more intimate speed boat trips or gentle sunset tours.

Here are my suggested boat trips in Split (updated 2024) that have options for several islands around Split for one of the most beautiful days of your vacation in Croatia.

1. All-Inclusive Boat Trip To The Blue Cave Tour With Grilled Lunch

Duration: 10 Hours

Approximate Cost: $219 per person

Blue Cave Tour From Split Croatia

Talk about deluxe: this is easily one of the best boat trips from Split, Croatia. While some of the tours that include 5 islands on their itineraries are a bit rushed, this 3-island tour allows you to take it more easily. This will be definitely one of the highlights from your time in Croatia, and – in my opinion – 100% worth the cost.

You get to go to a string of beautiful destinations spread along the coast, starting at Split and whisking you to Hvar , Vis , and Budikovac islands. Along the way, there’ll be chances to swim and snorkel in the crystal blue water and enjoy a freshly grilled lunch in a stunning bay. All that’s left for you to do is relax and soak up the scenery.

Find more details and availability of this tour here.

2. blue cave and hvar tour from split and brac.

Duration: 11 Hours

Approximate Cost: $141 per person

Best Things To Do In Vis Croatia - Caves

Even though it’s a 5 island tour (which can feel a bit rushed), I think this is one of the best tours in Split you can do by boat. Set sail from the ancient town on a small-group tour adventure. No overpacked boats here or big crowds, with a maximum capacity of 12 people.

First up, you’ll stop off at the Blue Cave , with its beautiful colors reflected in the sunlight. Then it’s onward to the island of Vis, where you can enjoy a good time exploring the charming fishing villages, have a swim, then have some breakfast (or brunch)

Your next stop is the famous Blue Lagoon. Here, you can admire the mesmerizing shades of blue while swimming and snorkeling (equipment is provided). For more marine adventures, you’ll swing by Stiniva Cove, where towering cliffs make for dramatic scenery.

You’ll then pass through the Pakleni Islands on your way back to Hvar.

3. Boat Trips From Split To The Blue Lagoon Trip (Snorkel Gear & Lunch Included)

Duration:  9 Hours

Approximate Cost: $64 per person

Solta Island Croatia

Time now for a more leisurely pace with this full-day 3 island Split boat tour. Starting at 9:30 a.m., you’ll leave Split behind as you head off on the high seas on a pirate-looking ship. The multi-stop tour sees you swinging by dreamy destinations along the way, including the Blue Lagoon, Necujam, Maslinica, and Ciovo.

There are plenty of chances to jump off the boat and swim in the crystal-clear water, and with snorkeling equipment included, you’ll be able to explore undersea as well. Not only that, but a delicious lunch is also served – featuring unlimited wine and soft drinks. It’s not particularly billed as a party boat, but I would say that with the free alcohol involved, it could get somewhat lively!

4. Full-Day Catamaran Cruise To Hvar & Pakleni Islands With Food And Free Drinks

Approximate Cost: $128 per person

Aerial panoramic view of Palmizana

If you’re looking for catamaran tours in Split, look no further. This fun excursion provides an unforgettable adventure as you cruise to Hvar and the Pakleni Islands from Split on a catamaran. Relax aboard the luxury catamaran, get to know your fellow passengers, and enjoy the view as you stop off in the bays, coves, and beaches of the beautiful Islands.

Lunch is included, and there are unlimited beer, wine, and soft drinks available. In my opinion, it’s possibly better for younger travelers – groups of friends and those flying solo alike – who want to let their hair down, have fun, and experience this beautiful stretch of the Dalmatian Coast.

5. half day tour to the blue lagoon, čiovo, & labadusa beach.

Duration: 5 Hours

Approximate Cost: $87 per person

travel to croatia - vacation in croatia - trogir 2

If you don’t want to spend a whole day island hopping – maybe you don’t have that much time to spare – then you may want to note down this short Croatia sailing boat tour. It’s a half-day adventure with a small group on a speedboat: a super fun way to get around.

This tour will see you hitting up some of the most famous sights in striking distance of Split. These include the Blue Lagoon, the historic town of Trogir , Ciovo , and Labadusa Beach. The guide is fun and friendly and makes sure that every stop is as enjoyable as possible. For me, it’s definitely a good one for those with a more limited itinerary. Happily, it’s also relatively cheaper than other tours.

6. The Best Party Boat

Duration: 6 Hours

Approximate Cost: $54 per person

A group of people enjoying the crystal-clear waters of Croatia's national parks, dressed in colorful bikinis.

I think this is the best Split party boat currently running. If you want to spend your day out on the beautiful ocean, drinking, dancing, and socializing, then this party boat will be ideal for you. It’s certainly not the cruise for you if you’re looking for something quiet and relaxing.

When you’re not popping bottles of bubbly or diving off the side of the boat, you and up to 190 other passengers will be whisked to the Blue Lagoon and other hotspots. The boat itself is huge, set over two decks, complete with its very own dance floor and a DJ booth. There’s a fully stocked bar, too, of course.

Not bad at all for party animals, considering the very affordable price (though the booze is not accessible or unlimited).

And once the party at sea is over, the fun continues with the bonus of free access to a nightclub in Split for an afterparty to remember (or not!).

7. Split: Captain’s Blue Lagoon Boat Party With Live DJ

Approximate Cost: $55 per person

How to Get from Split to Zadar Croatia

If the party trip above didn’t float your boat, here’s another option. Again, this is one of those Split boat trips that are more for groups of friends who want to let their hair down. Think DJs, dancing, and beautiful beaches – everything you could wish for in a summer vacation.

You’ll be heading to the Blue Lagoon for fun times with like-minded fun-seekers. There’s one welcome drink included in the price, after which you can buy additional drinks from the bar onboard.

8. Three Island Tour From Split

Duration: 8.5 Hours

Small Croatian Islands - Croatia Travel Blog

Soak up views of the Adriatic islands as you cruise to the Blue Lagoon and Solta . It is one of the best Croatia sailing tours for those who want to have fun but not necessarily go completely wild. The boat itself is a bit more sleek than others, with sunloungers and a welcome drink included.

Along the way, you’ll be treated to live commentary from your guide, stop off to swim and snorkel in the sparkling sea, and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch on board (included in the price). It’s the perfect way to spend a sunny day while you’re vacationing in Split.

9. 3-Day Croatia Cruise From Split To Dubrovnik

Duration: 3 Days

Approximate Cost: From $350 per person

Day Trips From Dubrovnik - Lokrum Island

If you really want to explore the coastline, then this epic 3-day cruise Croatia tour from Split to Dubrovnik is for you. Unlike other cruises, this excursion is like a vacation within a vacation and is ideal for those who have more time to spend during their Croatia trip.

Along the way to Dubrovnik, this cruise stops off at a string of incredible destinations along the Adriatic Coast, such as Makarska and Mljet National Park . There are plenty of chances to stop off and swim, admire the scenery, and explore ashore, with plenty of historic towns and natural wonders to discover.

So, while everyone else is getting the Dubrovnik-Split catamaran, you can instead be treated to the lap of luxury on this multi-day coastal adventure.

10. Blue Cave, Vis & Hvar Full Day Island Trip By Speedboat

Approximate Cost: $110 per person

Two people swimming in the clear blue water near a cliff in the picturesque Pakleni Islands.

This Hvar Island tour from Split by speedboat is a whole day packed full of seafaring and sightseeing. Beginning in Split, you’ll hop aboard small boats for the ideal Dalmatian Coast itinerary. There’s time spent cruising by the Pakleni Islands, a stop-off in Hvar Town with its centuries of history, and the chance to swim in the blue cave.

Being a full-day tour, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to take in all the sights (so you won’t be rushed like on some of the 5-island tours, for example). At the Pakleni Islands, you can stop off and swim in the turquoise sea; snorkeling equipment is provided if you want a view under the waves. In Hvar, you can hop ashore and climb the medieval Fortica Fortress for sweeping views of the old town and the Pakleni archipelago.

11. Sunset Cruise With Live Music

The sun is setting over the water in Croatia.

Duration: 2 Hours

Approximate Cost: $76 per person

Have yourself an evening to remember as you embark on a sunset cruise from Split. This short excursion begins by taking in views of Marjan Hill as you cruise below it before continuing onwards to the bay of Kastela, where you’ll get to lap up the coastal vista backed by mountains.

As the sun starts to set, you’ll get to enjoy live music on the open deck while the professional crew serves up a free-flowing selection of wine, beer, and soft drinks.

It was a fabulous experience all around – and a perfect moment to admire the Adriatic sunset.

12. Krka National Park, Local Cuisine And Wine Tasting Tour

Approximate Cost: $40 per person

Beautiful Skradinski Buk Waterfall In Krka National Park, Dalmatia

For something a little bit different when it comes to excursions from Split, how about a visit to Krka National Park ? This day touor first takes you by bus to the national park itself, where you’ll have time to wander the boardwalk and lap up nature before boarding a boat. You’ll sail along the Krka River to Skradin, where you’ll get to explore the town and its panoramic views.

The tour also includes a stop off at a local winery (which I’d say is a bonus!) and a visit to Plastovo Village , where you’ll have a chance to sample some of the local produce before returning to Split.

13. Five Island Full Day Speedboat Tour Featuring The Blue Cave & Hvar

Duration: 10-12 Hours

Approximate Cost: $140 per person

Vis Croatia Cruises

This five-island tour is a small-group excursion aboard a speedboat for a fun-filled adventure. With music along the way and friendly staff, the tour is a high-energy, sociable day out that’s good for a small group of friends – or even solo travelers.

The trip takes you from Split (or Trogir) to visit the five islands of Hvar, Ravnik, Budikovac, Vis, and Bisevo. Particular highlights of this whirlwind tour include a visit inside the glistening Blue Cave, snorkeling in Stiniva Cove , and exploring the idyllic fishing village of Komiza.

This Croatia boat excursion is definitely for people who want to travel on a fast boat – a tour suited to fun-loving, thrill-seeking visitors.

14. Brač Island & Šolta Island Cruise With Swimming

Duration: 7 Hours

Approximate Cost: $113 per person

Zlatni Rat (Golden Cape or Golden Horn) famous turquoise beach in Bol town on Brac island, Dalmatia, Croatia. Zlatni Rat beach at Bol on Brac island of Croatia in summertime.

This boat trip from Split to Brac and Solta islands is an easygoing adventure, taking you to two of the hundreds of islands littering the coastline here – this means a leisurely pace. Departing Split at 9:30 in the morning, you can relax as you cruise to the island of Brac (this takes around an hour).

You’ll then have more than 2 hours to spend lapping up the beauty of Brac , with chances to swim, sunbathe, and snorkel in a secluded bay.

Around lunchtime, it’s time to head to the island of Solta, enjoying a delicious grilled lunch on the way. Your afternoon will be spent on Solta in a charming fishing village. Here you’ll have free time to swim or wander around the village, lapping up the local life.

Finally, you’ll arrive back in Split at around 4:30 p.m.

15. Blue Lagoon & Trogir Half-Day Speedboat Tour From Split

Duration: 4.5 Hours

Approximate Cost: $67 per person

Trogir to Dubrovnik Road Trip - Trogir Old Town

This small-group, half-day speedboat tour ticks a lot of boxes. Not only is it good if you’re short on time (or if you don’t have a good set of sea legs!), but it’s also great if you don’t like the idea of a fully packed boat. The professional tour has room for 14 passengers aboard a sleek speedboat, which will see you zipping around the azure seas of the Dalmatian Coast.

The first thing you’ll do is head to the Blue Lagoon, Split’s famous natural watery wonder. Then, it’s onward to the UNESCO World Heritage Site , which is Trogir’s old town. Here, you’ll have time to stroll around the narrow streets and see the iconic historical sites such as St Lawrence’s Cathedral.

As far as half-day trips from Split go, this is one of the better ones. It’s reasonable, and you get a good chunk of time in both locations.

16. Cruise On Columbo’s Pirate Ship “Santa Maria”

Duration: 1.5 Hours

Approximate Cost: $42 per person

Sandy Beaches in Croatia_Bacvice Beach Split

For a bit of a themed tour around the Croatian islands of the Adriatic Sea, here’s your chance to head out on a pirate ship. It’s actually quite a short tour – just an hour and a half in total – so if you’re traveling with small children or don’t have much time to spare, I’d say this is a good option.

The journey, nevertheless, is fairly comprehensive. It sees you heading to beaches along the Dalmatian Coast, including Kasuni Beach and Bacvice Beach, with a stop to swim and snorkel, too. As with many Croatia boat tours, refreshments are included in the price, as is snorkel equipment.

17. Private Boat Tour Split – Custom Itinerary

Duration: 9 Hours

Approximate Cost: $390

Sailing Croatia - Amazing view to Yacht sailing in open sea at windy day. Drone view - birds eye angle

If you’re looking for real indulgence, here’s your chance to rent a boat in Split – complete with skipper – and head out along the coast following your very own itinerary. Chartering a boat is an excellent option if you’re traveling as a family or with friends, as there’s enough room for up to 7 people on the voyage. So, in reality, it works out more reasonably priced than some of the organized tours out there.

Snorkeling equipment is provided, but unlike other tours, you’ll have to bring your own food and drink if you want to enjoy a meal along the coast. Or you could (and I like this option better) ask your captain for recommendations and stop off at a restaurant along the way! Your captain will also be on hand to take you to some hidden coves and spots not seen on other organized tours.

Split Cruise Tours FAQs

SJ on the deck of a boat holding a glass of wine - party boat in Split, Croatia

What are Split cruise tours?

Split cruise tours come in all shapes and sizes. Usually, they take you from the ancient city of Split to see a whole host of coastal beauty located in the vicinity, from coves to hidden beaches.

They’re really popular, and most vacationers choose to spend at least one day of their trip to split soaking up this part of the coast. Then again, some cruises are all about partying, and some are multi-day trips to further afield ( think Dubrovnik ).

What are some popular sites you visit during a Split cruise?

The classic itinerary for Split cruise tours includes the Blue Cave, the Blue Lagoon, the Pakleni Islands, and Hvar. There are other places besides, and the itineraries vary. For example, when the Blue Lagoon is too busy with tourists, you’ll be whisked to alternative hotspots instead.

How long do cruises from Split usually last?

Many cruises from Split last between 8 to 10 hours – a lot of them are billed as full-day tours, after all. There are some half-day tours, which typically last between 4 and 5 hours. If you opt for a cruise to somewhere further afield – Dubrovnik, for example – then you’ll be looking at several days rather than hours.

Are there guided tours available during cruises from Split?

Yes, sometimes. In some cases, the onboard tour guide or captain will provide commentary and details of the various sights that the tour passes by or stops at. Other times, there will be options to set foot on shore and be guided around a destination; usually, this is on longer cruises.

Do the boat tours run all year?

No. Most of the day boat tours only run in the summer months (high season is July to August).

How to book Split cruises online

It’s simple! Just click on the link and get booking. GetYourGuide and Viator are well-trusted websites for all your tour booking needs, allowing you to choose the dates and times that fit your schedule.

2. Group Tour with Blue Cave Entry Ticket

3 island boat trip split

⭐️  RATING:  5 out of 5 Stars | ⏳  TOUR LENGTH:  11 hours | ✅ Book it!

Why choose this tour? Unlike other tours that advertise a visit to a Blue Cave, this tour actually includes entry to the Blue Cave as part of the tour price (usually it is an add-on which is disclosed in small writing). Another great thing about this tour is that it’s a small speedboat that holds up to 12 people, so you’ll get that small group feel without having to pay the hefty price tag for a private tour.

This Small Group 5 Islands Tour includes:

  • Small speedboat for up to 12 people

We had an absolutely fantastic day and was the highlight of our holiday. Mark ( Read more reviews )

Probably the biggest benefit of this tour is that you get skip-the-line entry into the Blue Cave which is HUGE! If you didn’t already know, Croatia’s Blue Cave is one of the most popular places to visit and can get very busy, leaving you waiting in the hot sun. This tour will get you in fast, meaning you can get back to sightseeing and swimming ASAP.

After visiting the Blue Cave, you’ll also go to Komiža, Stiniva Cove, Budikovac Blue Lagoon, and Hvar Island. Personally, I think this tour is the best bang for your buck.

4. Private Blue Lagoon and 3 Islands Tour

A birds eye view of the shipwreck of Kontesa on a Blue lagoon tour from Split, Croatia.

Why choose this tour? Out of all the Split sea tours, this one will take you to some of the most incredible swimming spots in all of Croatia, including the Blue Lagoon at Krknjaši Bay and mysterious Shipwreck of Kontesa. I visited the shipwreck last year (see my drone shot above) and it was such a cool experience! The shipwreck is so shallow, that you can even stand on parts of it while keeping your head above water.

If you’re searching for an intimate, private day out on the water, then this tour is for you . The boat can only accommodate up to 4 people, making it ideal for small families or couples wanting an authentic experience of the Croatian coast.

The Private Blue Lagoon Tour Split With 3 Islands includes:

  • Private speedboat with a skipper
  • Bottled water + light refreshments

Your skipper and guide will take you to Trogir, a gorgeous medieval town and UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll have time to grab some coffee or breakfast (I recommend Chi Coffee for you specialty coffee lovers out there!).

You’ll also explore the darling fishing village of Maslinica. This is a place that I visit every year with my family. We love stopping here and having a coffee on the waterfront promenade while watching the ships come in and out of the harbor!

Finally, you’ll enjoy a traditional lunch on the island of Šolta before swimming around a shipwreck. This is the perfect tour for capturing some incredible underwater shots, so be sure to bring a GoPro with you !

Our day trip was amazing, we had the best time. Josip, our skipper, was extremely nice, flexible and knowledgeable. Because it was a private tour, he tailored it right there for us and took us to many quiet places with very few tourists. Antonio ( Read more reviews )

5. Private Blue Cave and Hvar Town – 5 Islands Tour

End the morning with one last swim in the Blue Lagoon and enjoy lunch on the flower-covered island of Palmizana, part of the Pakleni Island archipelago near Hvar (and my personal favorite!). Finally, you’ll have free time in the charming Hvar Town before sailing back to Split.

We had such a wonderful private cruise around multiple islands in Croatia. We stopped for lunch at a beautiful restaurant ocean views and delicious food! We were picked up near the port of our hotel and dropped of in the same spot. Hanni even gave us great recommendations for the rest of our trip as well! Highly recommend this tour. We will definitely be choosing them again for our next trip to Croatia! Kayla ( read more reviews )

6. All-Inclusive Gastro Blue Cave Tour from Split

The inside of the Blue Cave in Croatia on a Split boat tour.

Why choose this tour: This tour will allow you to avoid the overcrowded beaches and discover Croatia’s lesser-known hidden gems. Plus, unlike other Blue Cave tours, this excursion offers guests a luxury experience at a great price (and no hidden fees !). Not only will you visit the majestic Blue Cave, but you’ll also sample some delicious Croatian cuisine including freshly-caught grilled fish, as you enjoy lunch in a private bay.

The All-Inclusive Gastro Blue Cave Tour includes:

  • Bottled water, breakfast and lunch
  • Alcoholic Beverages
  • Driver/guide – a captain and a hostess

This tour has everything you need for a memorable day at sea while on holiday in Split Croatia. If you are looking for Split tours that go above and beyond the norm and ensure you have the chance to visit beautiful islands with ample time to sightsee, swim and eat, then look no further than this All-Inclusive Gastro Blue Cave Tour .

I cannot say enough good things about this tour!!! There are so many Blue Cave tours that it was difficult to choose, but I am so glad I chose this one. It shows the hospitality of the Croatian people at its highest level. The owner has created an experience that is more like a high end private tour than a bulk rate experience. You definitely get a luxury experience on this tour compared to the other tours I observed. Eleanor Paige ( read more reviews )

5 of the best boat tours in split, croatia.

When it comes to Croatia’s most beautiful coastline and sea it’s a close call between Dubrovnik and Split.

Both cities are located along the Adriatic Sea. Dubrovnik might win in terms of Game of Thrones (we said might!) but when it comes to boat tours in Croatia you can’t beat Split.

Some of the best boat tours from Split include a trip to the famous Blue Lagoon, a shipwreck, and island hopping.

On top of the Blue Lagoon and the shipwreck, there are so many small islands near Split to explore so there’s always the option of renting a boat as well if you want to explore some of these by yourself.

Since Split is so centrally located in Croatia, there are endless day trips you can do from this coastal city – on and off land.

For this post in specific, we’re going to keep it to only sea activities and day trips you can do by boat!

The Adriatic Sea in Croatia has the most beautiful crystal clear water you’ll ever see and we can guarantee you that no matter which tour you go on, you will be met with incredible views.

#1 Split: Trogir and Blue Lagoon Half-Day Tour

3 island boat trip split

⛵️ Book your boat tour from Split to the Blue Lagoon here ⏰ Time: Half-day (roughly 5.5 hours) 💸 Cost: €70 (sometimes on sale for €59.50)

If you want to see everything, this Trogir and Blue Lagoon Half-Day Tour has it all. You won’t spend too much time at each location but you do get to see most of the magical spots near Split.

There are plenty of good boat tours from Split but this half day tour really highlights some of the most magical places nearby.

You will cruise to the beautiful town of Trogir which has a stunning and well preserved old town. Trogir has been a UNESCO heritage site since 1997.

From there, you’ll make your way to arguably the most beautiful spot on this trip: The Blue Lagoon!

You’ll have time to enjoy the beautiful Adriatic Sea and go for a nice snorkel or swim. In the summer months, the sea is actually really nice to swim in.

As you’re hanging out on the boat make sure to keep your eyes out for dolphins because they do make their way quite often to this part of Croatia.

Lastly, you’ll stop by the fisherman village of Maslinica where you can go grab a bite to eat or just enjoy the sunshine on the boat.

This boat tour from Split truly is packed with a variety of things to do and see and it’s why it’s one of the ones we recommend to people that want to see it all. It’s a jam packed day trip where you get to see the best of the best.

#2 Split: Brac, Hvar, and Pakleni Cruise with lunch and drinks

3 island boat trip split

⛵️ Book your boat tour from Split to the 3 islands here ⏰ Time: Full day (Roughly 10 hours) 💸 Cost: €110

There’s no better feeling than being out on the Adriatic all day enjoying the nice weather, crystal clear water, and good vibes while cruising from island to island.

On this trip , there’s a lot of exploring, swimming, and even snorkeling while hopping from island to island.

You’ll start in Split and slowly make your way toward Brac , the third largest island of the Adriatic Islands. Here you’ll have the chance to swim and snorkel and enjoy the fresh blue water.

Maybe it’s because I’m Canadian but I’d say especially during the summer the Adriatic feels quite warm and it’s amazing to swim in it.

After stopping at Brač Island, you’ll make your way to Hvar. For any Lavender lovers, you will absolutely love this little island.

You’ll see them in a bunch of the shops in the city center since Hvar is known to have plenty of lavender fields around the island. In Hvar, you’ll get a guided tour and have some free time to explore on your own.

The last stop is on the Pakleni Islands, a small archipelago not too far from Hvar.

There you’ll also have the chance to go for a swim or snorkel and enjoy the clear waters in one of the hidden bays!

During this trip, the team on board prepares a nice lunch consisting of a sandwich and a chicken salad. Vegetarian options are available but you have to tell them in advance.

It’s a full day (10 hours) but worth every second! As we mentioned, you’ll get food on this trip, but you’ll also get unlimited soft drinks and beers as well as fruit, cake, and coffee.

It’s one of the best full-day boat tours in Split you can do where you get good bank for your buck!

Book your Brac, Hvar, and Pakleni cruise here .

#3 Split: Sea Kayaking Tour at Sunset

3 island boat trip split

⛵️ Book your sunset sea kayaking tour from Split here ⏰ Time: 4 hours 💸 Cost: €45

Who doesn’t love a good sunset?! Not many things beat floating along the Adriatic Sea as the sun is slowly setting down on the horizon. This isn’t exactly a boat tour from Split since you’ll be in a kayak but we couldn’t not add this to the list.

We had one of the best experiences kayaking in Dubrovnik which was actually for sunset as well – and the trip was just incredible.

On this trip , you’ll kayak along the coast of Split to the Marjan Peninsula . You will have time to enjoy a quick swim or snorkel before the sun starts to set.

As the sun slowly starts coming down, the guide will take you to the best spots to photograph the sunset. When you look back, check out the mountains behind Split. They’re so beautiful!

You’re not going to get as far on the kayak as some of the boat trips from Split but you’ll have the chance to really enjoy being out on the water and paddling around.

We love any chance we get to do a physical water activity. Kayaking out at sea is so much fun!

Boat tours and kayak tours are obviously two totally different experiences. So if you get the chance and have the time it’s worth doing one boat tour and one kayak trip off the coast of Split!

Book your sunset sea kayaking tour here .

#4 Split: Blue Lagoon and 3 Island Speed Boat Tour

3 island boat trip split

⛵️ Book your Blue Lagoon Speedboat tour here ⏰ Time: 5 hours 💸 Cost: €60

If you’re looking to lay back, relax, visit beaches, and explore a few beach bars then you will love this trip .

You’ll get to visit some less touristy areas and beautiful beaches in Split while enjoying the sun and swimming in the ocean!

You’ll stop by Laganini Beach Club where you can purchase food and drinks while enjoying the stunning views of the Adriatic Sea.

Like on most boat tours in Split, you’ll make your way to the famous Blue Lagoon. This is a great place to swim and take in the turquoise water in this magical little area.

The Blue Lagoon is hands down one of the most beautiful places in Croatia so that’s why almost every boat trip adds it as a stop.

Lastly, you’ll cruise in the speedboat to the UNESCO Heritage site of Trogir which is an absolutely beautiful city island.

As you can see, you get to see quite a lot in the 5 hours that this trip lasts. The only thing that would make the trip better would be if it came with food as well but unfortunately, the only thing that is included is water!

Book your half-day speed boat tour here .

#5 Split: Stand-Up Paddleboard Night Glow Tour

3 island boat trip split

⛵️ Book your Paddleboard tour from Split here ⏰ Time: 2 hours 💸 Cost: €40

This is another unique experience and even though it’s not a boat tour it’s still a water activity in Split.

This tour lets you explore and take in the beautiful views and sea next to Split in a way no other tour can. By glowing up the ocean!

As the sun comes down and the sky gets dark, the lights from the nearby houses come to life and so does the underside of the paddleboards.

You’re going to be floating on what feels like a pool of blackness with only the light from your and the other paddleboards. How cool is that!?

The tour is very chill and relaxed. Your group will more or less be the only ones out on the water since everyone else is either out for drinks or already in bed.

You’ll slowly be paddling out at sea and along a river on your stand-up paddleboard while taking in the beautiful views.

The tour is very beginner-level friendly and you’ll have the chance to really take it all in and enjoy yourself without rushing.

Of course, you don’t get to go too far since you’re on a paddleboard and you can only go so far in 2 hours.

So you won’t see many of the highlights around Split but it’s hands down one of the most unique tours you can do in Split.

Book your glow-in-the-dark SUP tour here .

Other related questions to boat tours in Split

What is the price of a boat tour in split.

Croatia has become more expensive over the years and Split is a huge travel hub. Boat tours in Split are going to be more expensive than in other small little towns along the coast. You can expect to pay anywhere from €60 – €150.

For a standard half-day cruise, you can expect to pay about €60 which usually includes some drinks and food onboard. The more private the tour, the more expensive it will be.

How far in advance should I book my boat tour in Split?

How much time in advance you should book your boat trip from Split depends on the time of year you’re going.

During the summer months especially the tours sell out quickly so it’s best to book in advance if you already know your dates.

Between Spring and Fall, a day or two in advance should be enough for most boat trips. We always tell people to book their tours once they know the dates they’ll be in Split – just to be on the safe site.

Another thing to keep in mind is that not all tours operate year round. Some tours only go in the summer while others also run in the shoulder season but take winter off.

So if there’s a tour you really want to go on, it’s a good idea to check in advance if they run while you visit.

Is a boat tour in Split worth it?

If you want to see some of the highlights like the Blue Lagoon, Trogir, or any of the other islands around Split then a boat tour is totally worth it. If there’s one tour we recommend doing from Split it would be a boat tour to the islands and the Blue Lagoon.

8 Best Boat Trips From Split Croatia 2024

korcula island old town

While Split is one of the most enchanting cities in Croatia, with everything from 4 th -century Diocletian’s Palace, home to some of the most well-preserved Roman architecture in the world, to beautiful beaches and lively nightlife, there are islands nearby that you won’t want to miss either.

While you could take an island-hopping cruise, there are some outstanding options for boat trips from Split that can easily be done in a day. Many include stops for swimming and snorkeling, not to mention the scenery that can be enjoyed along the way.

With everything from crystal-clear blue waters, fragrant pines and secluded coves to fascinating history and tasty cuisine, when making your plans, be sure to include enough time to explore the ancient city and take at least one of these unforgettable boat trips.

8 Boat tours from Split, Croatia you don’t want to miss in 2023:

1. blue cave boat trip.

Blue Cave tour from Split

The Blue Cave is one of the most popular boat trips from Split. Located on Bisevo Island, just 44 nautical miles away, it takes about 75 minutes to reach bringing time to enjoy the incredible Adriatic scenery along the way.

This magical natural wonder can only be experienced by taking a tour, with your admission fee typically included in the cost. Once you arrive, you’ll hop onto a smaller vessel that can travel through the narrow entrance of the cave to witness an incredible display.

When conditions are just right, the sunlight beams through a crack in the roof of the cave and reflects on the white limestone sea bottom. At that moment it becomes illuminated in a surreal blue glow with the particular shade ranging from a brilliant pale hue to a deep sapphire depending on the time of day.

It’s always open, but boat trips to the cave only operate between April and October in order to ensure sea conditions are right. While the optimal time to come is from around mid-June to early September, a visit in late May or mid-September often means fewer crowds and pleasant weather.

2. Blue Lagoon boat trip

Blue Lagoon Croatia aerial view

A boat tour to the Blue Lagoon is the perfect way to spend the day soaking up the sea and the sand. One of the dreamiest destinations in Croatia, this is a place that postcards were made for, a hidden slice of paradise.

You’ll have plenty of time to snorkel or swim in some of the clearest turquoise waters you’ll ever see, in fact it looks as if it were stolen from the Caribbean and dropped into Croatia. When you’re ready for a break there is a restaurant/bar where you can sip a refreshing beverage, perhaps a cold beer or a tasty cocktail, along with delicious Dalmatian fare.

The ride to get there takes about 45 minutes from Split, with plenty of magnificent scenery to take in on the way. Your expert skipper will point out some of the sights like Ciovo Island and its 16 th -century church.

Keep a close watch for dolphins too as sightings are frequent thanks to the remarkably clean and clear sea that draws the animals here. They might even play right alongside the boat. If they make an appearance a short stop is likely to be made for capturing photos too. It’s easy to understand why the Blue Lagoon is one of the most popular boat trips from Split.

3. Hvar, Brac, & Paklinski islands boat trip

Hvar island photo from fortress

One of the top island-hopping tours, a boat tour to Hvar, Brac, and the Paklinski islands is an ideal itinerary that allows you to take in three islands in just a day with time for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing on idyllic Dalmatian beaches, along with some sightseeing too.

It begins early in the morning, a fabulous time to be out in the water soaking up the incredible beauty and Mediterranean sun with few others around. Brac is often the first stop as it’s the closest to Split and home to what’s often named one of Europe’s most beautiful beaches, Zlatni Rat, otherwise known as the Golden Horn.

It’s shaped like a horn, jutting out into the vibrant turquoise sea for nearly a third of a mile, the perfect place for swimming and snorkeling, or to just relax and admire the jaw-dropping beauty. Boats usually anchor on its southern side at the hilly town of Bol, known for its ancient monastery and Venetian homes.

Journey to Hvar, one of Europe’s sunniest islands, known for attracting plenty of VIPs and celebrities with its fine dining restaurants, iconic beach bars, and buzzing nightclubs. It also boasts spectacular landscapes with golden beaches, vineyard-covered hills and lavender fields. Historic sites are many too, like St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the oldest public theater in Europe, dating back to 1612.

A medieval fortress looms above it all, providing a panoramic vista over the yacht-filled harbor, the sea, and nearby Paklinski islands. These hidden emerald treasures are dazzling to behold with the striking contrast against the brilliant blue sea, and they also boast some incredible beaches for swimming and snorkeling. Your skipper will be sure that you have time to enjoy them before making the return to Split.

Korcula is just 20 miles long and four to five miles wide, but it packs a punch as one of the most enchanting islands in Croatia. Only 41 nautical miles from Split, a boat trip can easily take you here for the day. There are frequent departures between April and October, typically leaving early in the morning and returning in the evening. It’s home to everything from a fairytale-like walled town to charming villages, sandy beaches, olive groves, and vineyards.

It’s also said to be the birthplace of international explorer Marco Polo. Old Town Korcula, sometimes called a “mini-Dubrovnik” thanks to its many medieval delights, is surrounded by 13 th -century stone walls with imposing gates, towers, and ramparts. Once controlled by the Venetians, you’ll see plenty of glimpses of its past as you wander the labyrinth of atmospheric streets and narrow alleyways.

You can visit the Marco Polo House which now serves as a museum, pop into the unique art galleries and family-owned boutiques and enjoy dining one of the traditional tavernas. Wine tasting can be enjoyed too – in fact, Korcula is considered to produce some of the best wine in Croatia.

And, during the summer months, you may be able to catch a Moreska sword dance performance. For a bird’s-eye view over it all, head to the top of the Land Gate or climb to the top of the bell tower at St. Mark’s Cathedral. It’s also possible to rent a car or scooter and visit other places like the fishing village of Racisce or get active by kayaking along the shore.

Small boats on Vis island

The furthest island from Croatia’s central coast, Vis is one of the most unspoiled islands having been closed to the public for some 40 years while serving as a Yugoslav military base. That prevented it from becoming too developed, making it an especially tranquil destination for those who want to experience an authentic Croatian island.

Discover calm secluded bays and postcard-perfect beaches that offer outstanding snorkeling in clear aquamarine waters, like Stiniva Cove where you might even swim right next to some bottlenose dolphins or loggerhead turtles.

Vis Town is the major destination here, so you’ll likely arrive into this harbor when taking a boat trip from Split. Here you can stroll along the picturesque waterfront and through the stone streets with magnificent Venetian architecture, stopping to browse the shops or enjoy a meal in one of the cafes. Restaurant menus often serve fresh, local seafood that pairs perfectly with the island’s popular wines like Vugava and Plavac.

The City Museum, housed in a 19 th -century fortress, is filled with archaeological treasures, including the country’s largest collection of Hellenistic artifacts. The highlight is an extraordinary 4 th -century BC bronze head of the goddess Artemis, but you’ll see ancient Greek pottery, sculptures, jewelry, and relics retrieved from shipwrecks.

Solta island, old houses

The boat trip from Split to Solta won’t take you longer than 30-minutes, Solta is easily reached with frequent connections. Less developed than many of the other Croatian islands, it’s an oasis of unspoiled nature, with uncrowded beaches framed by a crystal-clear blue sea. It also boasts rich history and culture, with plenty of fascinating sites to explore, like the ancient ruins of sarcophagi, the prehistoric Gradac fortress, and centuries-old churches.

You can even learn the art of making honey, olive oil, and wine on one of the family-run farms. In the main settlement of Grohote you might even make your own jar of honey, the perfect souvenir to bring home. If you’re want to learn about Solta’s olive oil making tradition, take a private tour of Olynthia Olive Mill to witness how the olives are pressed and taste the results.

Those who want to get more active might rent a bike and explore. Or simply spend the day enjoying the peacefulness of the island, sunbathing and swimming with the aquamarine waters of Tatinja Bay sheltered from the wind.

7. Mljet boat trip from Split

mljet national park

One of the greenest islands in Croatia, Mljet is popular yet it manages to retain a tranquil feel for a wonderfully unspoiled experience, something that’s said to have seduced Odysseus for many years. Most of it is covered in dense forest, with a significant portion declared a national park, known for its saltwater lakes that range in shades from turquoise to emerald. There are vineyards, sandy shores, and quaint villages to explore along with an interesting history.

Discover a majestic Roman palace, the largest after Diocletian’s Palace in Split, as well as fortifications and tombs. One of the favorite things to do here is to visit Mljet National Park which covers a third of the island in its northeastern region.

The forest is home to mongoose, which were brought here to get rid of snakes. In the middle of Great Lake there’s a tiny islet home to a 12 th -century Benedictine monastery that can be reached by a boat that makes hourly trips. Or rent a kayak and enjoy the scenic paddle along the way.

By renting a scooter, you can ride to the gorgeous bay at Prozurska Luka which few tourists visit, enjoying lunch and a picturesque view at a restaurant in the tiny hamlet of Prozurska that sits just above. Be sure and sample some of the wine, Plavac, a red varietal, and Marastina, a white which perfectly complements the cuisine.

8. Sibenik Archipelago and Krka Waterfalls

krka-waterfalls-tour-from-split-and-trogir

A boat trip can also bring you to discover the magnificent waterfalls in Krka Falls National Park and the idyllic Sibenik archipelago. You might stop in Primosten, perfect for fueling up with coffee and enjoying a walk through the narrow streets with their stone houses. Take in the views of the 16 th -century St. Nicolas fortress, one of the Adriatic’s most important naval monuments, while cruising through St. Anthony Channel.

You’ll have the opportunity to visit the beautiful walled city of Sibenik which dates back over a thousand years, home to one of the largest and most important cathedrals in the region, the Gothic-Renaissance Cathedral of St. James. It’s also a popular base for exploring the park and its mesmerizing falls. By cruising to the mouth of the Krka River and up the river itself, you’ll be surrounded by incredible scenery the entire way, so you’ll want to have your camera ready.

The stunning park is home to abundant flora and fauna along with glorious falls like Skradinski buk, the highest in the Mediterranean. It plunges for nearly 151 feet providing an awe-inspiring sight. Visitors can even enjoy a serene swim in pool at the bottom – bring your bathing suit to enjoy the opportunity.

A customized trip can also take you to the nearby islands of Tijat and Zlarin, the latter of which is car-free for an especially tranquil atmosphere complete with pine trees and enticing beaches. Tiny uninhabited Tijat has a chill, laid-back atmosphere and sparkling bays that are ideal for anchoring. It hosts a popular beach bar where you can enjoy ice cream or a cocktail – the iced coffee, an alcoholic version, is often raved about.

The Blue Cave tour was absolutely amazing. Blue cave is one of the most mysterious places I have ever been and Stiniva beach is also very beautiful and quite romantic place.
