"I'm really looking forward to continuing my amazing Strictly journey and getting out on the road to meet all the fans."

Hamza added: " Strictly has changed my life in ways I never imagined, so to be doing the tour on top of it all is a dream come true!

"I've heard the tour audiences are unparalleled, so I'll be relishing the atmosphere every night, and I'm so excited to share that experience with my fellow dancers – not to mention the judges."

They will be joining Will Mellor , Ellie Simmonds and Tyler West , with more celebrities to be announced in the coming weeks. We don't yet know if the celebrities will be dancing with the same professional partners as on the TV series.

Speaking of his delight at returning to the glitz and glamour, Mellor said: " Strictly has been one of the most memorable and emotional journeys I've ever been on! Stepping out of my comfort zone and being a part of this massive show is something I'll never forget.

"I can't wait to put on my dancing shoes and go around the country to perform on huge stages in front of thousands of people who have watched and supported us. Bring on the tour!!"

Simmonds was just as excited, stating: " Strictly was such an incredible life-changing and emotional experience for me – it gave me a huge confidence boost and the feeling that anything is possible!

"So to be able to continue my journey on the tour next year is going to be amazing. I can't wait!"

"I never realised how much dance would change my life but I can't express how much I've loved it and fully embraced this opportunity to learn to dance with the best dance partner anyone could ask for in Dianne," West said of the tour.

"I am so happy my Strictly journey isn't over quite yet and I can't wait to relive some of our favourite dances and live like a popstar on tour performing for audiences each night! I am buzzing to get on the road with the gang."

The new tour also comes with a new judging lineup. Having recently been made a permanent judge on the TV series after previously filling in for Bruno Tonioli , Anton du Beke will also succeed Bruno on the arena tour panel, joining Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood, who directs the live shows once again.

"I'm so excited to join my fellow TV judges on the Strictly 2023 tour and have the chance to enjoy all the fun of the live experience with audiences around the UK," said Anton.

And after compering the nationwide tour earlier this year , former Strictly pro and current It Takes Two co-presenter Janette Manrara will be your host once again in 2023.

Janette has teased the new tour in a promo video, promising appearances from "your favourite couples, doing your favourite routines that you've seen from throughout the series".

"I'm so excited to be returning to host the 2023 Strictly Live Tour !" Janette added. "It is the most incredible experience to be part of this epic production, bringing all we love about the TV series to hundreds of thousands of people around the UK."

Anton Du Beke on Strictly Come Dancing

The Strictly Come Dancing tour is set to deliver another spectacle in 2023, with Anton Du Beke joining the ranks for the first time as judge.

On Saturday evening, the celebrities in the 2022 cast performed live with their professionals for the first time, with wildlife cameraman Hamza Yassin and and actor Will Mellor ending up joint top of the leaderboard with their respective partners Jowita Przystał and Nancy Xu.

There wasn’t an elimination this week, as each of the couple’s scores will be carried across to week two before the first couple is voted out of the competition by the public and the judges.

While the series has only just begun, there’s plenty of Strictly magic to look forward to next year, when the celebrities and dancers will return to perform for fans across the UK – with tickets for the tour set to go on sale very soon.

In an announcement made by the BBC, the broadcaster disclosed the dates of the tour, while also revealing that for the first time, Anton will be sitting alongside Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood on the judging panel.

Hosted by former Strictly pro Janette Manrara, the show will begin in Birmingham before heading to locations including Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle, Nottingham, London, Belfast and Glasgow.

‘I’m so excited to join my fellow TV judges on the Strictly 2023 tour and have the chance to enjoy all the fun of the live experience with audiences around the UK,’ Anton said.

Craig said he was ‘thrilled to be back directing and judging’ the tour.

‘This tour is going to be bigger and better than ever before – my imagination is running wild! With Anton joining the judging panel, one word, three syllables: FAB-U-LOUS!’ he stated.

Tickets are set to go on sale from 9am on September 30 ( available from AXS here ), with each performance on the tour also including a British Sign Language interpreter, who’ll be visible on two large screens on either side of the stage.

Sadly fan favourite Amy Dowden wasn't part of this year's line-up as she has been bravely battling cancer, however, fans were left thrilled when she made an appearance on stage with her fellow dancers in the final.

Male dancers Graziano Di Prima, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Giovanni Pernice, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington, Carlos Gu, and Vita Coppola all joined the 2023 line-up too.

Who were the judges for Strictly Come Dancing 2023?

The judges, Craig, Motsi, Shirley and Anton in Strictly Come Dancing 2023

Of course, the multi-award-winning competition is not complete without its fabulous judges.

The judging panel this year saw Craig Revel Horwood , Motsi Mabuse, Head Judge Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke all return.

News that all of last year's judges will be returning came as a relief to fans after there was speculation Shirley might be leaving after she admitted the show has taken its toll on her mental health after being targeted by trolls on social media.

During an appearance on  This Morning Shirley said: "I love the job, I love the actual critiquing. I love to get tips and help people along the way, to move forward to be beautiful dancers and all that they can be.

"This year, I've got a wonderful gentleman called Harry Surplus who is doing my social media and he's getting rid of any of those messages. My son checks over everything because it really did take a little toll on my mental health   for a minute. What I'm realising is everybody gets it, I'm not the only one."

Who presented Strictly Come Dancing 2023?

Hosts Tess Daly  and  Claudia Winkleman also returned to the show for another series. The pair have been co-presenting the series since 2010 and we couldn't imagine anyone else at the helm of the nation's favorite dancing competition!

The BBC revealed: "Presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will be back in the ballroom overseeing proceedings each weekend as a host of brand new celebrity contestants take to the floor in a bid to lift the coveted Glitterball Trophy."

Did Dave Arch return to Strictly Come Dancing?

Yes, fans were pleased to see Dave Arch and his wonderful band will once again provide the soundtrack to Saturday and Sunday nights all across the UK.

Who presented Strictly spin-off show, Strictly: It Takes Two?

Former Strictly professional dancer Janette Manrara returned for Strictly: It Takes Two 2023 , but sadly Rylan left the show after joining the Strictly : It Takes Two team in 2019.

Replacing Rylan was Strictly 2022 star Fleur East . Speaking on her new role Fleur said, "I’m so excited to officially join the Strictly family! I had such an amazing time on the show last year and so cannot wait to be talking to the celebs each week on It Takes Two ."

Who won Strictly Come Dancing 2022?

Full celebrity and professional dancer line-up announced for Strictly Come Dancing Live UK Tour 2024

bbc strictly tour 2023

The full line-up of celebrities and professional dancers for next year’s highly anticipated Strictly Come Dancing Live UK Tour are announced today.

Actor and model Bobby Brazier dancing with Dianne Buswell ; tennis champion and presenter Annabel Croft dancing with tour partner Graziano Di Prima ; journalist and broadcaster Krishnan Guru-Murthy dancing with tour partner Jowita Przystal; broadcaster and presenter Angela Scanlon dancing with Carlos Gu . They will join Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola, Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington and Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin to complete the sensational line-up of participants from the current series of the BBC’s hit Saturday and Sunday night show who will twirl across the UK for 30 sparkle-filled shows kicking off in January 2024.

Angela Scanlon said:   “I could never have imagined just how much fun Strictly Come Dancing would be. I’m thrilled to get the opportunity to continue our amazing journey next year, performing in literal arenas with Carlos and all the gang! Let’s go!”

Annabel Croft said: “I’m used to interviewing people in front of very large crowds, but to dance in arenas for many thousands of people is going to be something else. Dancing every week on the TV show has been such a joy, so I can't wait for the magic of the tour and to experience it with my new tour partner, Graziano."

Bobby Brazier said: “I love dancing and I love Strictly, so what better way to continue this brilliant experience than on the live tour! I've heard from Dianne what a blast everyone has on the road, so I can’t wait to perform with her for those huge arena crowds next year.”

Krishnan Guru-Murthy said: “My whole time on Strictly has been life-changing. So the chance to keep going, take on another challenge and go on tour, this time with a new dance partner in Jowita, is irresistible. I can't wait!”

The couples will be joined on tour by magnificent professional dancers Nadiya Bychkova, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Robbie Kmetoni, Jake Leigh and Nancy Xu, bringing with them even more glitz and glamour to this supersized live show.

And not forgetting the legendary Strictly TV judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood who are returning to their judging seats and tour host, BBC Two’s Strictly - It Takes Two’s Janette Manrara.

The 2024 tour opens at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on 19 January, then the glitz, the glamour and the sequins - together with the all-important celebrity contestants and their professional dancer partners - will travel to some of the UK’s biggest entertainment venues leaving a trail of glitter in their wake: Utilita Arena Sheffield, Utilita Arena Newcastle, OVO Hydro Glasgow, M&S Bank Arena Liverpool, First Direct Arena Leeds, AO Arena Manchester, Motorpoint Arena Nottingham and finally The O2 in London, culminating on 11 February.

Strictly's Live Tour celebrates all the joy of the TV series, showcasing the amazing choreography and fantastic live music that Strictly is synonymous with – providing audiences of all ages up and down the country the opportunity to experience everything they love about the TV show live on stage in their hometown or city.

Not only are the arena audiences treated to the spectacular roof-raising routines, but they are also granted the power to decide who wins the coveted Glitterball Trophy at the end of each show. The tour judges will of course provide their invaluable wisdom, advice, and scores at each performance - we couldn’t stop them if we tried - but the ultimate power lies with the audience. A text for their favourite couple is all it takes; their votes will decide who wins!

As with the 2023 tour, each performance will host a British Sign Language interpreter, who will be displayed on two very large screens on either side of the stage so that audiences can book tickets and sit almost anywhere in the arena to enjoy the experience with family and friends.

STRICTLY COME DANCING THE LIVE TOUR is produced by Stage Entertainment UK and Phil McIntyre Live, with BBC Studios.

BBC Strictly Come Dancing stars say 'we're alive' as they ditch celebrities ahead of 2024 series

A number of Strictly Come Dancing stars have addressed ditching their usual celebrity partners as they head out on the road together for another year of epic routines, emotional stories and plenty of sparkle in the 2024 official Strictly The Professionals UK Tour.

The tour kicks off on May 1 and the 36-date tour will include two nights in Greater Manchester. Alongside stops in London, Birmingham, Blackpool, Cardiff and Glasgow, the show, which marks the largest line-up to date, will arrive at the Lyric Theatre in Salford on May 14 and 15.

Amongst the professionals taking part are Karen Hauer, Dianne Buswell, Carlos Gu, Gorka Marquez, Graziano Di Prima, and Nancy Xu. Reigning champ Vito Coppola, Nikita Kuzmin, Jowita Przystal, Neil Jones, Michelle Tsiakkos and Luba Mushtuk also complete the impressive line-up.

Audiences nationwide will enjoy the incredible talent of these multi-award-winning world-class dancers as they perform stunningly choreographed Ballroom and Latin routines in exquisite costumes, with all the glitz, glamour, sequins and sparkle of the TV show - live on stage!

The tour, directed by Strictly’s Creative Director, Jason Gilkison, will showcase the exceptional talent of TV’s hugely popular professional dancers, set within the wonderful world of the BBC show, with its stunning costumes and sparkling sets.

"It’s fantastic to unveil this stellar line-up of much-loved Strictly professional dancers for this year’s tour," Jason said. "We will be dazzling audiences across the country with the dance and choreography at the highest possible standard. To see these dancers coming together to perform on this scale is a joy for me as a director. Strictly fans are in for a real treat!"

Karen Hauer, 41, has been with Strictly for over 10 years now and has been given the role of 'Dance Captain' for the tour. "I love everything to do with Strictly, and the Pro Tour has a very special place in my heart. We’re the spine of Strictly and this is something each of us has been crafting since we were children. This is our passion so what better than to demonstrate it on stages around the country? When we’re out there, we’re alive.”

She trains every day to maintain her stamina. "Neil [Jones] and I are in our 40s now so we’re conscious of keeping up with all the younger dancers. For me, that involves walking my dogs, cycling regularly, working out every day. But there’s no better training than dancing itself. Touring makes its own demands. Time and again, though, any exhaustion you might feel simply evaporates when you’re in front of an audience. Nothing is more exciting."

Meanwhile, this will be the second Pro Tour for Vito Coppola, 31, who, along with actress Ellie Leach, carried off the prized glitterball in 2023’s TV show. "I enjoyed last year’s Pro Tour so much; it was my first time ever dancing on a stage in front of an audience," the Italian dancer said. "It took me a moment or two to get used to the space restrictions. In a TV studio, you can dance through 360 degrees. In a theatre, there’s an edge to the stage.

"But, if you’re surrounded by eleven other professionals, as will happen this time round, you somehow all dance as one body. These dancers are from all over the world but they’re like brothers and sisters to me – and what unites us is our passion for dance. It’s very special."

This will also be the second time Chinese dancer Nancy Xu, 32, has been a part of the Strictly Pro Tour. “I was so excited to be involved last year – and I wasn’t disappointed," she said. "It was one of my dreams come true. This time round, there will be a dozen dancers - I’ve got goosebumps just thinking about it!

"You really get to know the other dancers when you’re on tour, both onstage and off. It’s hard to beat good quality time with people you respect so much. I know I’ll be slightly nervous before stepping out in front of a live audience but in a good way: it gets the adrenaline going. The more they want to give to us, the more we want to give back. I can’t wait!"

But Gorka Marquez makes no bones about it. "I’ve danced on all the Strictly Pro Tours," the 33-year-old Spaniard said, "and, for me, it’s the most fun part of being involved with Strictly. I love the Saturday night show but it’s in a studio.

"What’s special about the tour is that it’s in a theatre in front of a live audience. Nothing beats being able to look into their eyes and see their reaction. I really like bringing out the best in my celebrity partners, but the Pro tour gives us the opportunity to showcase ourselves."

Gorka and fiancée Gemma Atkinson have a four-year-old daughter, Mia, and a baby son, Thiago, born last July. "When we’re in London or Manchester on the tour, Gemma will bring Mia to see me: she loves to see Daddy dance. I try to get home on odd days the rest of the time. I’m a judge on the Spanish version of Strictly so I’m used to being away from home.

"But I miss the family, of course, and they miss me, particularly Mia who likes me to take her to her swimming lesson on a Saturday morning. Thiago’s too young at the moment to understand the passage of time. But this is all part of the job and I’m doing something I love."

Like Gorka, Neil, 42, now has an extra imperative not to be too far from home for too long. Last October, his girlfriend, Chyna Mills, gave birth to their baby daughter, Havana. "Chyna will bring the baby to see me if I’ve only got one show that day so I can spend time with her."

But he wouldn’t dream of turning down the tour. "It gives each of us our moment to shine and this time we’ve got more Pro dancers than ever to produce an incredible show. It also helps that we dance to a live band and singers onstage in front of a live audience. It gives everything an extra urgency."

Australian Dianne Buswell, 34, who finished runner-up in Strictly 2023 alongside Bobby Brazier, commented: "We spend so much time on Strictly focusing on the celebrities, and rightly so, but the Pro Tour is a chance for us to go out and show the world what we’re capable of. And I love theatres: the minute you step out on stage, you can not only hear the audience clapping and cheering but you can see how much they’re enjoying themselves.”

For all that, the performing and the travelling can be demanding. "For sure. We’re classed as athletes, so we have to look after our bodies. But we’re extremely lucky that a physio and a masseuse travel everywhere with us." As it happens, her birthday falls on May 6, a rare day off. So, will she be joined by live-in boyfriend Joe Sugg, someone she originally met on Strictly? “No question. No ifs or buts. Wherever it is, we’ll be together."
