How much will it cost to rent a charter bus to New York City?
There are many factors that go into the calculation of the total cost of any charter bus, including the time of year and day of the week you’ll be traveling, how long you’ll be gone, the type of coach you rent, and whether you need any special amenities. You can look at your options and get a free estimate on our online cost calculator .
Do you offer different types of buses?
Yes. We believe that correctly matching you with the right bus is an essential part of a great trip. Enjoy New York City’s Neighborhoods on a Charter Bus
A charter bus is a great way to experience the diversity of New York’s neighborhoods:
Greenwich Village
Known by locals simply as “the Village,” Greenwich has been a cultural mecca for decades, from Bleecker Street and the folk revival of the 60s to the present, boasting jazz clubs, off-Broadway venues and popular bars, restaurants and bodegas.
The heart of everything hip in New York City for more than a century, Harlem offers diverse culinary experiences, a wide range of music, theatre and gallery options, and some of the city’s most unique architecture.
Little Italy
You might as well be on a cobblestone street in Genoa or Milan. You won’t find better Italian cuisine anywhere in the world. The narrow streets give Little Italy a cozy feel, and there’s almost always a delicious smell wafting from one of the local bakeries.
Popular with the LGBTQ crowd, Chelsea boasts more than 200 art galleries, housed in gentrified factories. It’s also home to many high-end restaurants, bars and shops.

Why not arrange your outing to coincide with one of these amazing events?
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
There’s only one Macy’s parade. Be a part of the excitement, watching the storied balloons, amazing floats, marching bands and other parade participants.
The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting
Start the holiday season in an unforgettable way—come to New York for the ceremonial kickoff to Christmas, as the Christmas tree lights go in in Rockefeller Square.
New York Fashion Weeks
New York’s fashion industry puts its best foot forward twice a year, with a fall-winter fashion week and a spring-summer fashion week. Top models from around the globe walk the runways, showing off new and exciting designs.
The Tribeca Film Festival
This annual celebration of the cinematic arts, founded by Greenwich Village native Robert DeNiro, includes screenings of hundreds of films, including independents, documentaries and shorts. The festival takes place in April.
Visit NYC in June for Pride Week, the biggest celebration of LGBTQ culture on the planet. Parade down 5th Avenue, participate in a costume contest, or revel in the music, dance, fashion, food and other events.

Best NYC bus tours
1. Big Bus New York Hop-On Hop-Off Tour
First time exploring the wonderful city that is New York? This comprehensive, fully narrated tour allows you to customize your itinerary to just how you want it, boarding and leaving whenever it’s convenient for you. Vouchers can be redeemed in Times Square, where the tour begins. Choose from two circuits: the 90-minute Downtown Loop, which visits neighborhoods such as Little Italy and Chinatown and attractions like the Stock Exchange and the World Trade Center; and the 75-minute Uptown Loop, which includes classic New York spots like Lincoln Center, Rockefeller Center and the Apollo Theatre. Think of it as a handy little passport to discovering all the best of this fascinating city.
2. THE RIDE New York City
Double-decker bus tour not your thing? Amp up your usual sightseeing excursion with this dynamic part-show, part-city tour. Yes, it’s as wild and wonderful as it sounds. The multi-million-dollar bus (yep, you heard that right) offers outward-facing stadium seating with floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Billed as a “traveling theater,” the uniquely designed bus allows riders to take photos of top attractions ( the Chrysler Building, Grand Central Terminal) and interact with street performers during the 75-minute ride. It's a blast.
3. New York Bus Night Tour
If New York is the city that never sleeps (which it totally is, btw), it makes sense to experience it in all its nighttime glory. This after-hours tour starts in midtown Manhattan, then drives past iconic and illuminated landmarks like the Empire State Building, Times Square and Chinatown, with expert commentary on the city’s history and celebrity residents along the way. There will also be time to stretch your legs during the four-hour excursion, with guided walks in High Line Park and Grand Central Station. And trust us, all those glittering, gleaming views of Manhattan at night are just as glorious as billed.
4. Sex and the City Hotspots Tour
Has there been a better unofficial NYC spokesperson than Carrie Bradshaw herself? This bus tour pays homage to the New York-loving sex columnist by spotlighting all of the hotspots from the original stint of the hit HBO show. (Alas, locations from the And Just Like That reboot aren’t featured, so no Che Diaz sightings here!) B oard the bus and get reacquainted with some of your favorite Sex and the City settings, like Steve and Aidan's bar Scout — where you can stop to sip a Cosmo, of course — the Pleasure Chest, where Charlotte bought her 'Rabbit' vibrator, and Carrie’s iconic stoop. Jimmy Choos optional!
5. Brooklyn, Bronx and Queens Coach Tour
Manhattan may get a lot of the glory, but this comprehensive tour (it lasts for four-and-a-half hours) takes you through three equally deserving boroughs that made New York, well, New York. (Sorry, Staten Island!) Board in midtown and drive north through the Upper East Side to Spanish Harlem and the Bronx. Check out Yankee Stadium and the Italian enclave on Arthur Avenue before crossing into Queens. You’ll drive through Astoria and Long Island City before entering Brooklyn, where you’ll explore trendy ‘hoods including Greenpoint and Williamsburg. There’s just enough time left to drive over the iconic Brooklyn Bridge for one last look at the New York City skyline. Lush .
6. Birthplace of Hip Hop Tour - Harlem & The Bronx
Like R euben sandwiches, eggs Benedict and Martin Scorsese, hip-hop was born right here in New York City. Discover the origins of the groundbreaking musical genre on this bus tour of Manhattan, Harlem and the Boogie Down Bronx . Led by a grandmaster —no, not Flash, but similarly legendary emcees like Kurtis Blow, Johnny Famous, Roxanne Shante and Reggie Reg — the excursion starts at the location of the first hip-hop party in Manhattan before heading uptown to iconic spots like the Apollo Theater, the Graffiti Hall of Fame and Yankee Stadium. You’ll get to watch a real b-boy and b-girl dance session, snap photos in front of famous murals dedicated to Big L and Kool Herc, and even learn how to freestyle!
7. Superhero Film Tour of New York
From Spider-Man to Batman to Jessica Jones , New York City has played home to many a superhero. On this sightseeing tour, you’ll see around 40 locations featured in your favorite super-powered TV shows and movies, from the setting of the Battle of New York in The Avengers to The Daily Planet building from the Superman franchise to the exact spot where Danny Rand flips over a cab in Iron Fist . This is one fascinating exploration that will make superhero fans and comic-book buffs very happy indeed.
8. Sunday Harlem Gospel Guided Tour
Explore the culture of Harlem, one of the meccas of Black-American identity, on this guided tour. The tour visits both iconic and lesser-known attractions, such as Columbia University, the Cotton Club and the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. After visiting the Apollo Theater, where Michael Jackson once performed, and the famous stretch of 125th Street, where Duke Ellington lived, guests will be welcomed by a local congregation to participate in a Gospel mass.
9. Gossip Girl Bus Sites Tour
“Spotted at Grand Central, bags in hand” is the opening line of the New York-centric hit show Gossip Girl . And this is a big “XOXO” to the city and its super-elite, showcasing a number of memorable locations from the hit teen drama. Follow in the footsteps of Blair Waldorf , Serena van der Woodsen and the rest of the Constance Billard crew and explore many of the show’s glamorous locations on this three-hour bus tour, including The Empire Hotel (where Chuck Bass lived and worked), the Vera Wang boutique where Blair tried on her wedding gown and, of course, those iconic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where you can take a photo op.
10. The Sopranos Filming Locations Bus Tour
First thing’s first: yes, we know that The Sopranos largely takes place in New Jersey. But just like Jersey residents proudly tout “NJ/NYC” in their Instagram bios, we’re going to lovingly co-opt the crime drama as our own. Starting in midtown Manhattan and crossing over into the Garden State, this Jersey-set tour will feature key locations from the Mafia-inspired HBO series, including the diner where Chris was shot, the spot where Big Pussy spoke with the FBI and the booth in Tony’s restaurant where the final episode was filmed. You’ll also catch a glimpse of Satin Dolls (the Bada Bing bar).

Taking a Bus Trip to New York City: Sights to See
The Big Apple is an exciting destination for friends, families, school groups, church members and business teams. The city boasts many famous landmarks, attractions, viewpoints and an intriguing mix of neighborhoods. While it’s impossible to explore all of them in a day — or a week — with proper planning, you can enjoy some of the most prominent attractions around the city during a one-day visit.
Before chartering a reliable ride that prioritizes your safety and comfort, create an itinerary of all the NYC places you’d like to see. With limited time on your hands, you’ve got to go in with a plan. Here are some must-see sites in New York to get the inspiration flowing.
1. Times Square
If you want to experience New York in its full glory, you must take a walk in Times Square . The tourist hot spot gives you a feel of the hustle and bustle of the city that never sleeps. It’s among the world’s busiest pedestrian streets, lined with gigantic digital billboards, talented street performers, live music shows and a whole range of businesses.
If you walk through Times Square or people-watch from one of the many restaurants in the morning, keep an eye out for shows like Good Morning America and the Today Show. And don’t miss a chance to experience the historic Hard Rock Cafe New York , the Paramount Building and the M&M store . There’s also no better place to buy your New York City souvenirs than one of the many gift and specialty shops in Times Square. There’s the Disney Store, Yankees Clubhouse and countless other shops where you can pick up an “I Love NYC” T-shirt.
2. Central Park
Central Park is among the oldest and most-visited urban public parks in the United States. The park covers about 843 acres , or 1.3 square miles, of Manhattan and was established over 150 years ago to facilitate the recreational needs of the fast-growing city. Central Park provides New Yorkers and visitors a place to escape the busy and stressful city life.
The serene park is covered with green lawns, Instagrammable trees, broad lakes, winding streams, rolling slopes and stunning valleys. It’s also home to several animal species, including chipmunks, geese, ducks, squirrels and bunnies. When you only have a few hours to explore Central Park , take your pick of attractions like the Conservatory Water, the Alice in Wonderland sculpture, the Central Park Zoo and the Belvedere Castle.
3. Rockefeller Center
An iconic symbol of midtown Manhattan, the Rockefeller Center is a complex of buildings and plazas that house television studios, theatres, corporate headquarters, shops and restaurants. Some of the most iconic attractions you can see include the 70-story skyscraper that houses NBC studios, hundreds of historic art pieces and the Associated Press Building.
You can catch 360-degree views of the city from the Top of the Rock observation decks , explore and relax at the Channel Garden, and shop at the NBC store. Around the holidays, you can skate at The Rink at Rockefeller Center and check out the legendary Christmas tree. Another major attraction worth experiencing is the modern-style gardens on the seventh floor of Rockefeller Center. Looking to enjoy an elaborate dinner in New York? Make a reservation at the Rainbow Room for an unforgettable experience that includes fine dining, excellent skyline views and pleasant service.
4. 9/11 Memorial & Museum
Spend part of your day in New York exploring the 9/11 Memorial & Museum to better understand the events that led up to the tragic attacks on September 11, 2001. The memorial is free and open to the public every day of the week, but you pay for admission to the museum.
The museum blends architecture, archaeology and history to tell the story of the attacks. You can explore artifacts, imagery and rotating displays that pay tribute to the people who were affected. The museum also hosts events and programs online and offline to deepen your understanding of the attack’s continued impact on the United States and the world. You can support the museum by purchasing books, keepsakes and apparel at the Museum store.
5. Broadway Shows
Your day trip to New York isn’t complete without catching a live Broadway show . New York’s Theatre District is home to over 40 theatres, each with a minimum capacity of 500 seats. Bus trips to Broadway are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that will bring you closer to your travel buddies in more ways than you can imagine.
Live Broadway shows are exhilarating because you get to indulge in the work of top-tier actors, orchestras and designers. You can enjoy elaborate performances in Broadway staples like “Wicked” or “Chicago,” catch a revival of a classic musical like “Sweeney Todd,” check out a newer option like “The Notebook” or “MJ” or opt for more family-friendly shows like “The Lion King.” It’s best to buy your tickets a few weeks, or even months, in advance. You can also often enjoy discounted rates for groups of more than 10 people.
6. Empire State Building
End your day trip by visiting the Empire State Building . Take in all of New York’s breathtaking beauty from one of the enclosed observatory decks, either 86 floors (1,050 feet) or 102 floors (1,250 feet) above Manhattan streets. On bright days, you can catch clear and stunning views of up to six states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. In the evening, you can enjoy panoramic views of the neon-lit New York skyline.
While the Empire State Building has spacious and fully air-conditioned waiting areas, you should book your tickets in advance to avoid long queues and waiting times. You’ll also appreciate the opportunity to take and post photos from the world’s most photographed building.

I would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation of your driver. He was our driver for the past days from Boston to New York. He was not just a professional driver, he cared for us, he was understanding, and most of all knew where and how to get everywhere.
- Garry & Carmen
I want to extend my appreciation to Executive Coach and our driver for organizing a safe trip to the Women's March in DC this past Saturday. Our driver was courteous and respectful and obliged to our wishes to travel directly into DC for a drop off point after all the metro sites were full. Everyone on the bus loved his accommodating manner and felt safe riding with him. I appreciate the Executive Coach staff working tirelessly to make sure we had all the information available to us. I look forward to working with you all again!
We were very pleased with the outcome and performance by your company in the transportation of our employees.
- Lancaster General Hospital
Went to Montreal and Quebec city over the weekend with a school trip...all three drivers were very professional and friendly. Our driver (Jay) was exceptional in communication and safety! I would highly recommend Executive Coach!
We had a great time yesterday. Thank you so much. Things could not have gone more perfect. Our driver did a great job. We were running over a little on time, and I gave him the choice of skipping the last stop or keep going (which would mean we would get back to our return destination about 40 minutes later than scheduled). He said it was fine with him to keep going and complete our route. It was a great day. Thank you very much to Executive Coach, Inc.!
- Susan Threadworks Quilting
Not only were they reasonably priced, the assigned bus was clean and on time for all scheduled events throughout the day. Our bus driver, Greg, was very professional, warm and welcoming. He helped to make the travels even more interesting by sharing some history of the surrounding area. My family and I are pleased. Looking forward to using your services in the future. Thank you so much.
We have worked closely with Executive Coach for years. They have always portrayed the utmost professionalism and courtesy to us as a customer. Their equipment is state of the art and very well maintained, and their drivers are concerned with the safety of their passengers and are very pleasant to our groups. Overall, the team at Executive Coach has been a wonderful partner with White Star Tours and we look forward to continuing our professional relationship for years to come.
- White Star Tours
Back from another wonderful day trip to Ocean City! The bus driver was pleasant, courteous, and a wonderful driver. We were picked up on time, the bus was clean and comfortable, and we were back a few minutes early despite some traffic delays. Can't wait to go again in August!
- Connie from Paradise, PA
Executive Coach staff & drivers are timely, friendly, and professional. They took the stress and worry out of our transportation logistics
- Hope International
Clean coaches, professional drivers, excellent safety record, overall pleasant experience.
I just finished a tour from Washington to Boston with one of your drivers. It was the best driver and person I worked with in my last 15 years. The group and I appreciated his presence and safety during this tour.
- Normand Misa Tours
On a recent trip to D.C. I was in need of a sudden change in carriers due to safety concerns and the crew at Executive Coach came through for me. They were able to provide service from D.C. to Chicago on a less than 24-hour notice. I will recommend Executive Coach anytime, anywhere! Meet your travelling companions and enjoy a scenic drive through the rolling hills of New York and Pennsylvania. Spend the next four nights just outside Manhattan in a quiet New Jersey neighbourhood.
This morning, a local guide joins us for a tour of New York's most famous sights, including Times Square, Central Park, Fifth Avenue, SoHo, the Financial District, and more. After free time for lunch, we'll take a trip back in time to the art deco era and take a tour of Radio City Music Hall. This magnificent facility, nicknamed the Showplace of the Nation, has been restored to its original opulence, and the stories and history are fascinating. On this guided tour, discover at deco masterpieces, learn the secrets of the great stage, and meet a Rockette. This evening, dinner is included at one of our favourite NYC restaurants.
Our favourite spot to see New York City from a bird's eye view is at the Top of the Rock, high atop the Rockefeller Center. A gift from John D. Rockefeller to Manhattan as a place for locals and visitors to marvel at the city he loved, it's the very best place to see the city from above. Then, take in the sights and sounds of iconic Times Square. The afternoon is free for you to explore of your own.
This morning, we visit the incredible 9/11 Memorial and Museum. The museum's 110,000 square feet of exhibition space is located within the archaeological heart of the World Trade Center site, telling the story of 9/11 through multimedia displays, archives, and a collection of monumental and authentic artifacts. It provides a link to the events of 9/11, while preserving intimate stories of loss, compassion, reckoning, and recovery. This afternoon, the coach will make convenient drop-offs at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Natural History, and Central Park. Each has facilities for lunch on your own, or you can choose a restaurant in the surrounding area. This evening, board the cruise boat where you'll have the chance to dine, dance, and see Manhattan from the water. The three-hour cruise takes you by the Freedom Tower, the Statue of Liberty, and spectacular views as the sun sets and the city's lights come to life.
Enjoy a scenic drive today, travelling through New York and Pennsylvania, crossing the border back into Ontario by late afternoon.

Breaking news, swanky bus from nyc to hamptons pampers riders with cocktails, hot towels, reclining seats — how to get in line.

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.
It’s the wheel deal.
Blade — the helicopter company that shuttles city elites to the Hamptons for $1,000 a flight — is rolling out a swank coach service as a more affordable, but still luxe, alternative.
“We’re excited about the ‘white space’ that exists between a $40 Jitney ride and $1,000 helicopter flight,” Blade’s CMO Roisin Branch told The Post.
The new Blade Streamliner buses will feature first-class amenities such as deep-recline seats with memory foam backs and power leg rests, ultra fast Wifi, pillows, blankets and hot-towel service.
Plus, the tricked-out coach will have just 19 high-tech seats, each with five feet of legroom, allowing the Hampton-bound to stretch their Pilates-tone limbs. By comparison, standard coaches pack in around 50 travelers.
The seats themselves were specially developed by Bose to eliminate 90% of bumps and vibration and help prevent motion sickness.
The so-called “HoverSeats” are “the most advanced passenger seats in the world,” according to a press release.
To score one of the cushy seats, passengers will have to shell out $195 for one of the 12 seats on the right side of the bus, which features six rows of double seats, or $275 for one of the seven single seats on the left side of the bus.
Passengers can also bring their pups for an additional fee, and they’ll be doggy extras from luxury pet accessories company Bonefly.
All of the amenities stand in stark contrast to the Hampton Jitney. It costs just $41 when tickets are purchased in advance, but, in recent years, customers have complained about the once beloved service falling into dirty disrepair.

Never miss a story.
Last season, a longtime Jitney rider griped to The Post that riding it was now “like taking an old Greyhound bus.”
Meanwhile, Blade’s Streamliners will even come with their own “Passenger Experience Team Members” who move through the bus to serve light food and drinks, along with offering pillows and blankets and even hot towels — all at the press of a call button..
Light bites available on board will vary depending on the time of day. Morning service, for example, will include NYC’s Popup Bagels , a lauded purveyor of the iconic carb that recently collaborated with Dominique Ansel on an escargot bagel.
The bagels will “come in nice and warm” each day, Branch said.
There’s also a full bar — well-stocked with bottles of Château La Coste ’s acclaimed rosé — and a lavatory large enough for passengers to change out of their summer Friday best and into their Hamptons looks.
For now, the Streamliner will only depart from the Big Apple to the Hamptons from the corner 33rd Street and 11th Avenue. That should prove incredibly convenient for those who work in the Hudson Yards offices of Warner Bros. Discovery, Blackrock, Facebook and JPMorgan.
On the way back, the Streamliner will stop on the East side of Manhattan before making a final stop at Hudson Yards.
Unlike the Jitney , it will spare passengers the indignity of stopping at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens and having to switch buses on Long Island in Manorville or Southampton.
The company said it expects its first-class service to appeal to those who pay $350 to $750 to take a car service to the Hamptons but might not spring for helicopter service
“Until electric vertical aircraft are available, we can’t make helicopter travel less expensive,” Branch said. “But what we can do is elevate the ground travel experience, which has not changed in over a century.”

I compared a $180 luxury bus to a $46 coach bus, and the expensive option was almost better than flying first-class
Posted: August 7, 2023 | Last updated: August 7, 2023
- I rode on a $180 luxury bus and a $46 standard coach bus from New York City to Washington, DC.
- The regular bus got me from point A to point B, but there weren't many amenities.
- I was super impressed by the comfortable seats and the attendants on board The Jet.
As somebody who frequently travels between New York City and Washington, DC , I'm thankful for the many transportation options available.
Traditionally, planes are time savers, trains are the most comfortable , and buses are the most cost-effective. But there's another luxury option: The Jet.
As a true travel nerd, I had to see just how different this $180 bus service was from a traditional $46 FlixBus coach offering. Eleven hours of travel later and a notebook full of pros and cons, here's how the buses stacked up.
The coach bus was almost exactly as I expected it to be.
On the FlixBus, there were two seats on either side of the aisle. But there were a lot more seats, leaving less room in between each row.
There was really no comparison when it came to comfort and space.
The Jet had three seats in each row with an aisle in the middle, but overall, it had significantly fewer seats than the standard coach.
Everything was spread out, giving every rider a lot more space.
I had just enough room for my things on the regular coach bus.
The seats on the standard coach bus were moderately sized.
They provided footrests and enough room to fit a backpack under the seat in front of you .
I couldn't believe how great the seats were on The Jet.
The Jet provided a 45-degree seat recliner and pop-up leg rest. I had enough room to extend my legs without even being close to the chair in front of me, putting some first-class airline seats to shame.
On top of the comfortable cushioning and lumbar support, the seat was designed with technology to help mask any uneasiness on the road. Subtle up-and-down motions gave the illusion of an incredibly smooth ride.
I wish airplane seats would adopt this feature to reduce the movement of unwanted turbulence.
The coach bus didn't have many amenities.
The coach bus provided straightforward service, getting you from point A to point B.
Although there weren't many amenities on board, there were at least convenient trash bags hanging on the aisle seats.
When paying more than $100 for a bus ticket, you hope for a few added perks, and The Jet delivered.
My favorite perk was probably the attendants on board.
They passed out hot towels at the beginning of the ride, served drinks, and cleaned up after us. One attendant even offered Jet blankets to make my journey more comfortable.
The bathroom on the regular bus wasn't fancy, but it was functional.
I appreciated the small restroom on the FlixBus.
The Jet's amenities were exceptional for a bus.
The restroom had a sink, counter space, backlit mirror lights, a full-length mirror, and enough space to change into something cozy for the ride.
We made a rest stop on the regular bus to stretch our legs and refuel.
Although there wasn't food on the FlixBus, we got a 15-minute rest-stop break, where I picked up a bottle of water and a Dunkin' iced coffee to fuel me for the last three hours on the road.
I was offered free drinks and cheap snacks on The Jet.
Each Jet ticket came with two complimentary alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, or seltzer, and a list of food items on sale for as little as $1.
Although both services promised WiFi, only one worked for me.
As a remote worker who enjoys traveling, it's essential that my mode of transportation has internet access.
The buses were supposed to provide WiFi, but FlixBus' service was down during my ride. Thankfully, the power plugs on board worked, and I used my phone's hot spot instead.
I was able to comfortably get some work done on The Jet.
The Jet's WiFi worked, and the service speed was fast enough for my fiancé to stream movies while I uploaded and downloaded significant file-size assets to my computer.
Trains and planes are still probably the better option for most, but I'll splurge on The Jet if I'm riding the bus.
When comparing the bus services , traffic is the great equalizer. Even though the buses departed on time, the 4 ½-hour trip took more than 5 ½ hours in each direction.
If time is your biggest concern, I'd stick with a train or plane. But if you're a remote worker traveling during the day like me, The Jet may be the best option.
I think it was definitely worth the price tag . The fantastic service, luxurious seats, and strong internet connection made it the clear travel winner.
Correction: August 7, 2023 — An earlier version of this story misstated the number of seats in each row on the Jet bus. There are three, not four.
