The Walt Disney World Bachelorette Party Guide

Add some magic to your bach.

Walt Disney World is a staple in the childhoods of so many of us. But what about in adulthood? Can it still be fun and festive enough for a grown-up bachelorette party without being "too much?" The answer is a hard YES! An increasingly popular bachelorette destination for full-blown Disney lovers and casual fans alike, Disney World in Orlando, Florida offers endless opportunities for fun in the sun, world-class cuisine, trendy cocktails, and of course—incomparable and iconic Disney experiences.

To help plan for the perfect Disney bachelorette, we spoke to Disney travel professional Becca Magnusenfor her expert insight.

Meet the Expert

Becca Magnusen is a dream vacation planner and Disney expert at Pixie and Pirate Destinations .

For starters, Magnusen advises bachelorette groups to work with a planner to coordinate the trip. "Their services are free and you'll have expert advice at your fingertips from start to finish," she says.

The best time to visit typically depends on what you’d like to do. Magnusen says you'll find the lowest crowds in mid-January and early February, early May or September. There are fewer children and families there during those times because it's not a great time to be pulling kids from school, so crowds are lower." Disney World is also extra magical during the holidays but tends to be a bit more crowded then and in the summer.

Magnusen explains, "There are so many factors that could determine the cost per person . You can go for a weekend, stay at a value hotel and only spend a day at the parks and eat a few dinners out and spend $350 to $400 per person, or you can live it up at a deluxe suite with club level access, hop from park to park, splurge on a fireworks cruise and a spa day and expect to spend substantially more.”

Ready to party in the most magical place on earth? Read on for the ultimate Walt Disney World bachelorette party planning guide.

The current outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization . As the situation remains fluid, we’ll be sharing tips and stories from industry experts to give you of-the-moment advice and help you navigate wedding planning today. For the most up-to-date guidelines and latest on travel restrictions and requirements, check the CDC and U.S. Department of State websites.

Why You’ll Love Walt Disney World

Disney World is just that—its own world. (Or, a "whole new world" if you will.)  Within the span of just a few miles, you can sip on cocktails, receive world-class spa treatments, indulge in five-star dining or the best boardwalk grub, see incredible shows and entertainment, and of course, meet everyone’s favorite mouse—all while reconnecting with your inner child and having a blast.

"Where else can you dress like a princess and no one looks twice, enjoy adult beverages 'drinking around the world' at EPCOT, spend a day at a spa or the pool and then see fireworks at night, take in incredible shows and ride awesome rides and also have over 50 restaurant options right at your fingertips without having to rent a car?!" says Magnusen.

Nowhere but Disney! Here are a few reasons why we love a Disney bachelorette party, and why you might, too!

  • Nightlife. Of course, Disney World is first associated with children, but once the sun goes down, the nightlife in Disney Springs can’t be beat! Disney Springs, Downtown Orlando, or even Universal Studios’ CityWalk offers a wide range of evening activities from drinks and dinner to dancing, and more!
  • Food. From quick-service sandwiches to fancy five-star dining, there’s a meal (and cocktail !) for everyone.
  • Theme Parks. Choose from one of the four major theme parks, or spend the day park hopping as you take in all the attractions and ride all the rides! If you’re feeling adventurous and time allows, you can even head over to Universal Studios for some variety and to experience the famous Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which is also in town.

Where to Stay in Walt Disney World

Selecting a hotel or resort is perhaps the most important part of your WDW bachelorette. Whether you want to stay on Disney property or off will be your first decision, and it’s a big one! It can affect your transportation, access to the parks’ special hours for hotel guests, dining options, pool and lounging options, and more.

  • On Disney Property:  Magnusen says, "Depending on your party size, there are great perks to staying on site. A two-bedroom villa at Bay Lake Tower gives you great access to Magic Kingdom, an awesome fireworks view, and convenient transportation to anything along the Monorail." For more bang for your buck and more space, she says to consider a villa at Old Key West Resort.
  • Off-Site: There are plenty of other great options in the Orlando Area, but Magnusen recommends Margaritaville Cottages or Encore Resort at Reunion. "Both of these off-site options have accommodations for a large group, some larger rentals even have private pools , and either way, there are great amenities within the resort for the girls to enjoy."
  • Luxury Properties: For a truly indulgent and luxe experience that can balance out your trip, perhaps you can spend your day frolicking around the parks, and your evenings living in luxury at the Ritz Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes . Fine dining, an oasis-like spa, and an adult-only , outdoor heated hotel pool just might be the perfect retreat after a busy day!

Where to Eat in Walt Disney World

When it comes to food, the opportunities are endless within the Walt Disney World Resort and Orlando. From five-star dining to quick counter service and quite literally everything in between, the only difficulty you’ll have is trying to decide where to eat first!

  • Best Brunch Spots: Toppolino’s Terrace at Riviera Resort, Chef Mickey’s in Epcot, Grand Floridian Café in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
  • Best Dinner Spots: 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort, Teppan Edo in Japan at Epcot, Wine Bar George in Disney Springs
  • Famous Restaurants: Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom, Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom, Yachtsman Steakhouse in Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Le Cellier Steakhouse in Canada at Epcot

Reservations can be made up to 500 days in advance, so plan your itinerary early!

What to Do in Walt Disney World

While you may not be able to squeeze in everything Walt Disney World has to offer into a long weekend, with proper planning you can definitely see and do quite a bit!

Best Daytime Activities in Disney World

Sleep in, spend some of the day by the pool, and then enjoy park hopping! Look at the theme park hours ahead of time to strategize where to go first, and end wherever is open the latest on that day. Be sure to buy a park hopper ticket ! Book spa services, a delicious lunch, or drink around the world in the World Showcase section of Epcot.

Best Nighttime Activities in Disney World

When the sun sets, it’s time to put on your party pants and enjoy dinner, drinks, fireworks, or even a private cruise around the Seven Seas lagoon. The theme parks look even more magical by night, too!

How to Get Around Walt Disney World

Traveling around WDW resort could not be easier. If you’ve rented a car, it may be a bit of a pain navigating where to go, where to park, paying for parking, etc. which is why utilizing their transportation system is recommended! Between their ferries, monorails, busses, and the new skyliner, you can get from point A to point B with ease.

Also, getting an UBER of Lyft is quite easy, too. And if you’re taking a car service to WDW from Orlando airport, Magnusen says, "Many of them will be happy to stop at the liquor store and/or grocery store before taking you to your hotel."

Walt Disney World Bachelorette Party Itinerary

Here is Magnusen's idea of a picture-perfect three-day bachelorette party in Walt Disney World.

  • Morning: Check in and enjoy the pool.
  • Afternoon: Do a bar tour along the monorail! Hit up bars at the Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and end at the Polynesian.
  • Evening: Enjoy a fun family-style meal at 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort. Then, book a private boat (seats 10) from the marina at Polynesian to enjoy fireworks and dessert in the Seven Seas Lagoon
  • Morning: Start your day at Animal Kingdom enjoying Kilimanjaro Safari and Festival of the Lion King before hitting up Avatar: Flight of Passage and Expedition Everest.
  • Afternoon: Then, hop to EPCOT to enjoy a few more rides and then take in the Food and Wine Festival (if you are there from August to late November!). Enjoy drinks and snacks throughout World Showcase and you don't even need a dinner reservation!
  • Evening: If you want a sit down dinner, consider Biergarten in Germany, Teppan Edo in Japan, or La Hacienda de San Angel in Mexico. Enjoy fireworks and close down EPCOT
  • Morning: Start with an upscale Breakfast with the Characters at Topolino's Terrace at Riviera Resort followed by a spa day at Senses Spa at Disney's Grand Floridan Resort.
  • Afternoon: Go shopping at Disney Springs—there are some amazing stores that have nothing to do with Disney.
  • Evening: Make a dinner reservation in Disney Springs (consider Wine Bar George or bowling at Splittsville Lanes, depending on the crowd). Treat yourselves to Cirque de Soleil: Drawn To Life.

Disney World Bachelorette Party — The Ultimate Planning Guide

By Lisa Gilmore Leave a Comment

All Disney Adults know that Disney World isn’t just for families. Disney World has become an increasingly popular destination for adults with or without kids.

disney world bachelorette trip

Magic Kingdom

Celebrating big life milestones like graduations, reunions, first jobs, and engagements at Disney World takes those events to a whole new level. And if you’re a bride-t0-be looking for a fun way to celebrate with your gal pals before you tie the know, Disney World is such a fun spot to plan your bachelorette party — and we’re here to help with ALL of the details.

Disney World offers endless opportunities for fun in the sun, award-winning cuisine , trendy cocktails , and of course—memorable and iconic Disney experiences.

We are going to dive into all of the details you need to know to plan your own unique Disney bachelorette party:

Why Disney World

  • Where to Stay in Disney World

Where to Eat in Disney World

What to do in disney world.

  • Disney Bachelorette Party Themes

  • Extra Special Upgrades for the Bride

So, without further ado, let’s start creating a magical bachelorette party!

There are a lot of things Disney World offers for vacationers, from immersive theming, world-class service, luxurious resorts, and of course, rides, shows, fireworks, and our favorite animated friends. And all of this is at your fingertips without having to navigate strange city roads, questionably smelling taxis, or the expense of car rentals. Once you’re on Disney World property, it’s all just (an inclusive) boat ride, monorail ride, and skyliner ride away! And bonus — you can experience it all while donning a tiara (and you won’t be the only “royal” strolling around the resorts).

disney world bachelorette trip

Happily Ever After

Here are a few reasons why a Disney bachelorette party might off you just what you’re looking for.

Disney isn’t just for kids with carousels and parades (though those are fun, too), but Disney Springs comes alive when the sun goes down. You can find a restaurant, lounge, or bar for practically any theme, flavor, or vibe you might be looking for. Craving a margarita? Try Frontera Cocina ! Want an elegant wine tasting? Head over to Wine Bar George . Looking for more of a nightclub scene? Try STK Orlando or The Edison .

disney world bachelorette trip

Piano battle at Jellyrolls

And Disney Springs isn’t the only spot you can find some entertainment after the sun goes down. The BoardWalk Inn has all sorts of restaurants, live entertainment, and delicious food you can experience. We recommend popping into JellyRolls with dueling pianists, potent cocktails, and endless popcorn!

It’s About to Get EASIER to Visit Jellyrolls in Disney World!

And the wide variety doesn’t just stop at the night life. Disney World offers restaurants and meals for every palate in your party. From elegant European tapas like at Jaleo and Spice Road Table , to classic theme park fare like corn dogs at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments and cheeseburgers at Restaurantosaurus .

disney world bachelorette trip

Tapas at Spice Road Table

You can find a classy brunch at Homecomin’ or The BOATHOUSE , or grab some chicken tenders from Chicken Guy for a late-night, post-cocktail snack! Yep, something for everyone.

Theme Parks

Whether you’re looking to find some thrills on rides, take in a Broadway-style show, or just sip and stroll around World Showcase. You’ll find plenty of things to do at all of the Disney World parks.

disney world bachelorette trip

Beauty and the Beast — Live on Stage

And don’t forget all of the other theme park options in Orlando, in case you want to explore some aquatic life and thrills at SeaWorld, be sorted into your house at Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal, or even explore the natural wonders of Florida at Gatorland. Orlando is your oyster.

Easy Travel

It can be challenging to gather friends and family together from all around the country (or even the world!), but that’s another reason why Disney World is a great place to host a bachelorette party. Orlando is just a popular travel destination, practically every airline provides a route to Orlando. So getting to Orlando is usually pretty easy and fairly cost-effective, compared to other more obscure destinations.

disney world bachelorette trip

Orlando International Airport

And once you arrive, there are several ways to get from their airport to Disney World property, including rideshare, charter shuttle service (like Mears Connect), private car services, and even a bullet train (though Brightline doesn’t drop you off right at Disney property).

Destination: Disney World! Flying To and From Orlando International Airport (MCO)

This can be subjective, and there are a lot of outside factors you’ll have to consider, like: when is everyone available? And when is the wedding date? But if your calendar is wide open, we have a few key times for you to consider.

If you’re looking for the lowest crowds and milder weather, consider booking your trip in January or February . You’ll find that a few weekends perk up with runDisney events, but overall, it’s more laid back than other times of the year.

disney world bachelorette trip

If you’re looking for a huge variety of international wines, beers, and bites, then consider booking your trip during EPCOT’s International Food and Wine Festival . You and your friends won’t need dining reservations to eat and drink your way around World Showcase and find your favorite international treats. Luckily, if you’re staying on property, free transportation is included with your stay, so Disney World has your designated driver already set up for you (but still drink responsibly).

disney world bachelorette trip

EPCOT Food & Wine Festival

If you’re looking for some extra party time in the parks, then consider visiting when Disney World hosts its annual Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party . Both of these events require additional admission tickets, but provide unique entertainment, extra time in the parks to experience attractions, and some one-of-a-kind character sightings and photo opportunities!

How Much a Disney World Bachelorette Party Costs

There are a lot of variables to consider here. The prices could vary widely depending on what type of accommodations are chosen (Deluxe, Moderate, or Value), how many bachelorettes will bunk up in a room, and how many nights you’ll be staying. Airfare will vary based on where guests are traveling from. Theme Park ticket prices will vary based on how many days and whether or not Park Hopper options are added on. And then there are meals and souvenir costs.

disney world bachelorette trip

Disney World Theme Park Ticket Cards

We made some assumptions and generalizations. We used the dates of August 11th through 15th, 2023, for basic pricing information, so your findings may vary. We planned for room occupancy to be at a moderate resort and split between two adults for four nights, and four days worth of park tickets. Here are some estimates to help you find your baseline:

  • Flights, Luggage, and Airport Transportation: $295
  • 4-night stay at a Moderate Resort (Coronado Springs): $576.50 (per adult)
  • 4-Day Park Tickets: $495.86 (without Park Hopper option)
  • Meals: $100 per day
  • Souvenirs: $50 per day
  • Total cost per adult: $1,967.36

As we mentioned, there were a lot of variables. You could spend more if you’re staying at a Deluxe resort and each gal has her own room, and you spring for Genie+ or some other upgrades. You could spend a little less, if you stay at a Value resort or bunk up more than 2 adults to a room (though most have a capacity of 4 adults). But $1,967.36 is a good estimate for setting your baseline budget.

disney world bachelorette trip

You can find some great deals by booking through a travel agent , and often they can help set up individual payment plans as well so each gal can pay her own expenses on her own schedule. Travel agents can help with dining reservations, special experiences, and much more — and they don’t cost you anything extra! We recommend Small World Vacations — in fact, we use them to book our own Disney trips.

Where to Stay at Disney World

We briefly touched on the different resort options above. But let’s look at those a little more closely. Disney has 4 resort categories: Deluxe Villa, Deluxe, Moderate, and Value. There are three Value resorts, Pop Century , Art of Animation , and the All-Star resorts (Music, Movies, and Sports), which are the most economical and provide over-the-top theming with giant icons tying into the resort theme.

disney world bachelorette trip

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

The Moderate resorts provide the harmony of value and benefits. There are four Moderation options, Caribbean Beach , Coronado Springs , Port Orleans ( Riverside & French Quarter ), and the Fort Wilderness Cabins and Campgrounds. Your bachelorette party can take on the theme of your resort with fun ideas like the Mardi Gras vibes of Port Orleans French Quarter or the island chill of the Caribbean Beach.

disney world bachelorette trip

Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort

Disney Deluxe resorts offer the finest amenities and accommodations on property. There are eight of them, Animal Kingdom Lodge , Beach Club , BoardWalk Inn , the Contemporary , Grand Floridian , Polynesian Village , Wilderness Lodge , and Yacht Club resorts. If you’re looking to bask in the luxury of finely upholstered lobbies and dine in the fanciest restaurants, these are the resorts for you.

disney world bachelorette trip

Wilderness Lodge

And finally, Disney’s Deluxe Villa resorts, which are more like apartments or vacation homes than hotel rooms. There are eleven total: Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas , Bay Lake Tower , Beach Club Villas , BoardWalk Villas , Boulder Ridge Villas , Copper Creek Villas , Old Key West , Polynesian Villas , Riviera Resort , Saratoga Springs , and the Villas at Grand Floridian . If you have a larger party and want to keep the crew together, these are worth checking out.

disney world bachelorette trip

Riviera Resort

If you’re not restricting yourself to just a Disney World bachelorette party, but also plan to spend time at other Orlando attractions, you can look into the huge array of vacation home rentals and other resort properties . Some might provide a more budget-friendly option if the proximity and Disney perks aren’t a key factor for your enjoyment.

We’re Disney Food Blog, so of course, we’re gonna tell you about some awesome spots you need on your “must eat” list.

If brunch is your game, and toasting with mimosas is how you plan to celebrate your coming nuptials, then Disney will not disappoint you. Some spots are only open for brunch on the weekends, but there are other places that offer brunch throughout the week.

disney world bachelorette trip

Olivia’s Cafe Brunch Spread

Some of our favorites are Homecomin ‘, Wine Bar George , and The BOATHOUSE in Disney Springs, Olivia’s Cafe at Old Key West , and Topolino’s Terrace at Disney Riviera Resort .

Dinner Spots

Maybe you want dinner with a view, or one of those iconic Disney character meals, or just a good steak. Disney has those, too. ‘Ohana is festive, fun, and quite tasty! Jiko has some of the best steaks and wine selections on property. Or California Grill for a meal as epic as the views!

disney world bachelorette trip

Oak-grilled Filet at Jiko

And if you want to make dining reservations at all three in one trip — well, you’re our kinda people! Welcome to the Disney Food club!

Spots for Large Parties

If your bachelorette crew is rolling deep, we have some recommendations for large groups as well. Biergarten in EPCOT celebrates Oktoberfest every day of the year, Boma in Animal Kingdom Lodge provides a robust buffet of African-inspired dishes, and Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is a knee-slappin’, toe-tappin’ good time for all.

disney world bachelorette trip

Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review

Most Disney World restaurants can accommodate large groups, but it just may take longer to get the tables together.

The 6 Best Disney Restaurants for Large Groups

It’s not all thrill rides and cocktails (but if it were, we’d still be pretty happy), but Disney World offers so much to do!

Daytime Activities

Sure, you can head to the parks and have a grand time, but if you’re looking for something extra, something a little more different, or a little more accessible for a large group, you can head to one of the mini golf courses (or the big-daddy golf courses ) for a fun round of golf.

disney world bachelorette trip

Disney Golf

Set an appointment at the Senses Spa at the Grand Floridian for a day of luxuriating with your gals. Or you can spend a day soaking up the sun at the pool or at one of two water parks .

Nighttime Activities

Disney Springs after sundown can be a celebration on its own. And if you wanted to stop there, we wouldn’t blame you. Or, if you want to zhush up your trip a bit, consider a fireworks dessert party in Magic Kingdom . It is an extra cost, and you have to book it in advance, but a buffet of some Disney’s tastiest bites with a reserved fireworks view can totally be worth that effort to make you feel extra special.

disney world bachelorette trip

And keep an eye on the calendar you might spot some After Hour events during your trip. These are an extra ticketed event but you’ll get some additional time in the parks with lower crowds and even some treats included, like popcorn and soda!

Disney Bachelorette Themes

You may just show up as you are, hit the parks, and have a blast. Or, to kick it up a notch, you can coordinate with your gals to have a theme for your bachelorette party! Maybe everyone can Disneybound as their favorite Disney princess, for a party fit for royalty.

disney world bachelorette trip

Even Disney makes accessories you can use for Disneybounding!

Or match your outfits to your resort! If you’re staying at a fun resort like Polynesian, pack some fun Hawaiian shirts or dresses and leis. Or colorful beret if you’re staying at the Riviera Resort.

disney world bachelorette trip

Disneybounding options are endless

You can even be inspired by those old Disney Channel classics and find apparel inspiration from Lizzie McGuire, Halloweentown, or Hannah Montana. So much fun.

7 Simple DisneyBound Outfits You Won’t Regret Wearing to the Parks

Once you’ve locked in your bachelorette trip dates, there are some other dates you’ll need to plan for.

When to Make Dining Reservations

You are able to make a dining reservation at most  Disney World restaurants   up to 60 days before you plan to eat there.

If you’re staying at a Disney World Resort hotel, you can make reservations  for your entire stay  (up to 10 days) 60 days before the FIRST day of your trip. So 60 days before the first day of your stay, you can make reservations for the whole trip, even for days that are more than 60 days out.

The Hollywood Brown Derby

To reserve by phone,  call 407-WDW-DINE (3463) , answer a few voice-activated questions, and you’ll be transferred to  a dining agent who will book your meals for you . The phone line opens at  7AM EST  each day.

When to Make Park Pass Reservations

The  Disney Park Pass System  is an online tool that allows guests to  make reservations to visit the four Walt Disney World theme parks:   Magic Kingdom ,  EPCOT ,  Disney’s Animal Kingdom , and  Disney’s Hollywood Studios .

disney world bachelorette trip

Introduced as part of new safety measures to limit guest capacity in order to promote physical distancing upon Walt Disney World’s reopening,  the Disney Park Pass System enables guests with valid theme park admission to make the required reservations to enter a theme park.

Expedition Everest

As soon as you have your tickets (or Annual Pass, if you’re going big), you can start booking your Park Pass Reservation. But starting in 2024, the Park Pass system will be going through some changes, so you’ll want to be sure to read all about it before your girls’ trip !

You can do Disney on a budget, but if you want a unique, magical, time, Disney can deliver on that too — for a price. We’ve already given you a basic budget for your Disney Bachelorette party, but if you plan to added on extra activities or experiences, those prices can add up, and you’ll want to plan ahead.

Tips to Make the Trip Extra Special for the Bride

Disney knows how to treat a bride, they have a whole wedding pavilion, after all. If you’ve collected a complementary celebration button (at any guest services location in the parks or at a resort), then you will likely hear well wishes (and perhaps even a free cupcake) from the Cast Members.

disney world bachelorette trip

Grab a celebration button!

Being in Disney World is special enough as it is. Disney can help set up a special celebration tailored to your party, at a location of your choice. If you can dream it, they can do it. You can connect with them at (321) 939-4648 to speak to a representative for more information on your custom event.

Italy Pavilion

You can have special gifts or flowers delivered directly to your resort room. Disney Floral has a wide range of options for practically any occasion and any budget. You can work with them to order special Bride Ears, or you can usually spot them in the gift shops around the parks.

Or, to save a bit of cash, bring your own decorations from home to splash around your resort room to keep it fun and festive.

If you're a bride-to-be who's obsessed with a certain cartoon mouse, there's a good chance you're dreaming of a Disney bachelorette party. And why not? Between the fine dining, outrageously fun theme parks, and resort hotels with all the amenities you could dream of, there's no better way to feel like a Disney princess during your last fling as a single Cinderella.

But if there's one piece of advice we could give you if you'll be spending your bachelorette weekend at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida , it's to plan ahead! When it comes to planning a trip to Disney, you've got to nail down your trip as far in advance as possible and know which parks you'll visit and when, where you'll dine for each meal and what you'll do in between. And don't forget to head to  WeddingWire Shop  and Etsy to buy some matching swag to wear to the parks.

Once you've got a rough itinerary in mind, it's time to order your  Magic Bands . These handy tools are critical to a stress-free Disney vacation these days, serving as your single point of access for everything from your hotel to your bar tab and even your ID. Since you'll be managing lots of different schedules, a Magic Band will definitely come in clutch. If there's time, mail one to each attendant in advance so everyone's got one in hand when they arrive.

And if your crew of gal pals is pining to ride some of the park's more popular rides, be sure to schedule  Fast Passes  early, too. No one wants to wait in line for hours when there's partying to do!

Without further ado, it's time to get to it. Whether you're a die-hard Disney fan, or a bride to be looking for a good time with your besties, it's time to unleash the magic that a Disney bachelorette party can be. Keep reading to learn how to put together your very own personalized fairy tale before your ultimate happily ever after at the Disney parks.

Note: Some of these locations and attractions are temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Be sure to check  the Disney World website  for the most up-to-date information.

Where to Stay

The first decision you'll have to make when planning your Disney bachelorette party is where to stay. With a long list of Disney resorts and hotels to choose from, it's not an easy choice! Our advice? Splurge a bit and stay in the park if you'll only be visiting Disney for a weekend. The time, money and hassle you'll save getting back and forth from the park is priceless, and your room key is your Magic Band, which will serve as your access point to any one of Disney's hundreds of establishments. That's a huge bonus that means you won't have to worry about lugging around a purse full of cash, cards and your ID.

Here are some of our top suggestions for where to stay during your Disney bachelorette weekend.

  • Grand Floridian:   you'll enjoy a bridal vibe all weekend when you stay at this opulent hotel that houses Disney's wedding pavilion. Only one monorail stop away from Magic Kingdom, you'll be able to see the nightly fireworks show from the hotel. Or, hit the pool or enjoy a luxurious massage with your crew. Amazing dining abounds at this beautiful Victorian-style hotel.
  • Saratoga Springs:   when you're at Disney with your best girls, there's a good chance you'll be doing some partying. If so, we've got one word for you: villa! Staying in your own private space allows plenty of room for everyone, and you'll avoid disrupting little ones nearby. The villas at Saratoga Springs are top notch, but you'll have to reserve far in advance to ensure your spot.
  • Disney Yacht Club:   If you'll be spending a lot of time at Epcot, the Disney Yacht Club Resort is the place for you. It's walking distance from the park, and you'll gain access to the property's amazing, 3-acre pool, the largest of any Disney resort. Great, casual eateries include  Hurricane Hanna's Waterside Bar and Grill  and  Crew's Cup Lounge .

Where to Eat

One thing's for sure: when it comes to eating at Walt Disney World, there's something for everyone, and dining is an experience unto itself. If you're a total foodie, you'll want to hit up some can't-miss spots like  Jiko  in Animal Kingdom, one of the most highly acclaimed restaurants in the park, and  Le Cellier Steakhouse , part of Epcot's world showcase. Jiko is an African-inspired eatery that turns out delectable dishes like piri-piri chicken from its wood-burning ovens. There, you and your bridesmaids can also enjoy a huge selection of South-African wines. At Le Cellier, a steakhouse designed like a wine cellar, you'll indulge in top-notch cuts of meat, and salad at the height of freshness. For a truly special culinary experience, try the Prix-Fixe lunch here.

Craving some Mexican?  La Cava del Tequila  (also in Epcot) does it right, with a full menu featuring all your favorites. And bonus - you and your crew can snag a Tequila flight here, or enjoy your favorite margaritas. What a way to start your wild night at Disney!

It's no secret that Disney World is packed with things to do. You could easily spend an entire week and not do everything on your list. But since most bachelorette bashes take place over a weekend , our Disney bachelorette party itinerary assumes you'll fly in on a Friday morning and fly out on a Sunday evening.

Since there's so much to do, we'll show you a truly action-packed weekend. Will you be tired at the end? Yes! But you'll be busy making memories to last a lifetime during this one last hurrah before you head down the aisle.

Plan to arrive bright and early on day one, especially if you're traveling from anywhere on the East Coast, where early-morning flights into Orlando are the norm. After you check into your hotel, it's time to hit the parks! Aim to visit only one park today, since you'll be arriving around the busiest part of the day. We recommend starting at Magic Kingdom.

When dinnertime rolls around, channel a real-life  Beauty and the Beast  experience at the elegant  Be Our Guest Restaurant , in the Beast's Castle in Fantasyland. You'll enjoy classic French dishes along with your choice of beer and wine at this upscale venue. Once you're finished, hit the park again for some nightlife with your favorite mouse; Magic Kingdom often stays open until 10 or 11 p.m., allowing you an opportunity to squeeze in plenty more rides and events that can get super crowded during the day. Fun nighttime events to enjoy with your leading ladies include the incredible nightly fireworks display. Elevate the experience with a dessert party, which offers all-you-can-eat desserts at a designated viewing place for a fee.

Day 2

If you and your crew will be springing for ParkHopper passes, try to split this day in half, hitting up one park in the morning, then the other after lunch. If you visited Magic Kingdom on day one, Epcot and Animal Kingdom are great choices for today. If you're lucky enough to be at Walt Disney World during the  Epcot Food and Wine Festival  (often September through November), the event is a must-do, especially for a bachelorette event. This around the world style event allows you to sample food and beers from different foreign countries.

If you're still on your feet after a long day at the parks (and after a fantastic dinner, of course), it's time to hit the town for some nightlife sans Mickey and Minnie Mouse.  Disney Springs  offers plenty, with popular establishments like  The Edison nightclub  and  Wine Bar George . There, you and your crew will enjoy an upscale evening featuring an extensive wine selection and tasty appetizers.

Or, head down to Disney’s BoardWalk for a spate of other bars in close proximity to one another, perfect for bar-hopping with your leading ladies.

After a long day in the sun (and a long night at the bars), you and your bridesmaids may find yourselves craving nothing more than the pool. And you're in the right place for that! Most Disney resorts boast amazing pools, but here are some of our favorite must-do pools during your Disney bachelorette weekend.

  • Stormalong Bay :  This enormous pool is more "aquatic playground" than pool, and there's something for everyone at your Disney bachelorette party. Float peacefully down the lazy river as you wake up, then plunge down the 230-foot waterslide that falls from a pirate ship. You'll have access to Stormalong Bay if you stay at either the  Disney Beach Club  or the  Disney Yacht Club .
  • Silver Creek Springs Pool :  Located at  Wilderness Lodge  (a great hotel in its own right), this unique pool was built in the spirit of the iconic Old Faithful Inn at Yellowstone National Park. You and your bridal party can relax and unwind in the heated pool and whirlpool spas. Trust us - you'll be glad you did!
  • Lost City of Cibola Pool at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort :  If you're feeling up for fun, you and your besties can zoom down the 123-foot-long waterslide. But if it's peace and quiet you're seeking, the resort features three other pools, which means you can likely carve out your own space without having to worry about crowds.

A Disney World Bachelorette Party Guide to Plan Your Weekend

Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World

What better place to celebrate getting married than in the most magical place on earth? For those who want some joyful nostalgia before their big day, Walt Disney World in Orlando is the ultimate bachelorette party destination . It's the perfect place to dress up, have fun, and celebrate with your girlfriends. Here's our go-to itinerary when you're looking for Disney World bachelorette party ideas .

In this article:

Disney World Bachelorette Party Ideas

Disney world bachelorette party itinerary, best hotels in disney world for a bachelorette party, disney world adult nightlife for a bachelorette party, expert disney world travel tips.

Even just planning a Disney World bachelorette party can be exciting. With its scream-worthy rides, world-class restaurants, and hidden magical touches, an adult trip to Disney World can be just as memorable as a kid's trip—and this time, there are margarita's involved.

Whether you're looking for a relaxing getaway with a minimum of mouse ears, or a wild adventure where roller coasters and fireworks are the very least of your adrenaline spikes, we've got you covered.

If You're an Ariel (or a Belle, Tiana, or Mulan)

Playing dress-up never gets old, and even adults can have a Disney Princess experience at Disney World. Meet and take pictures with Cinderella, Tinkerbell, and Aurora before getting a prime spot for the Magic Kingdom Parade.

For the Ride Lover

If Scream is your favorite movie—and your favorite thing to do—amp up your girl's trip with a roller coaster tour. Some of the most thrilling: The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Expedition Everest. (But look, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is surprisingly scary!)

For the Foodie

There's great food at every Disney park, but gourmands will have a special time at Epcot. Besides being able to eat and drink your way "around the world" by sipping on avocado margaritas in "Mexico" before downing chargrilled oysters or crêpes from "France," the park has plenty of festivals throughout the year. You'll find specialty foods available at events like the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, where even restaurant pros and sommeliers book time on their calendars.

For the Bar Babes

For the bachelorette groups looking to party, there are plenty of places to enjoy delicious cocktails. Besides the signature Lime Dole Martini with rum, there are wine bars in Disney Springs, and of course, drinking your way around the world at Epcot with sake in Japan or beers in Germany.

For the Fitness Lovers

For the brides looking to have fun during their bachelorette party while staying active , throw on your sneakers with your princess dresses and walk around the parks for a Disney World bachelorette party scavenger hunt. You'll get a ton of steps in while running around Magic Kingdom looking for "hidden mickeys" (tiny mouse insignia hidden all over the park)—but if you want to make it official, book your trip during Disney Marathon Weekend and race your friends in the annual Princess Run, a 5k where everyone dresses up!

Whether you're a Disney fanatic or just a girl in search of "adventure in the great wide somewhere,", there's a way to plan an unforgettable journey through Disney World that will have your entire bachelorette party saying "best day ever." Here's how to start.

Start your day by seeing Cinderella's Castle, and enjoying the Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire live show. Then head to the Sunshine Tree Terrace for a little snack of Fried Pot Stickers with an orange sesame ginger sauce, washed down with the I Lava You Float made with Fanta Strawberry Soda, passionfruit, DOLE Whip, orange, and just a sprinkle of pop rocks. (We also love the upside-down pineapple cake pop or the Seven Dwarfs ice cream cone of the day at Storybook Treats.) Grab a Mickey Pretzel and watch the Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom before scheduling some ride times with Genie+ on your app, which is definitely worth the $15-ish per person upgrade. It's especially useful if you love the classics, like the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Space Mountain—all of which you can easily experience before checking out Magic Kingdom Fireworks at night!

Have breakfast at the hotel and enjoy coffee by the pool in the morning. After a refreshing swim, get ready to go to Disney's Hollywood Studios to ride some more adult (read: scary) rides like the Rockin' Roller Coaster, an indoor roller coaster that takes dark, whipping twists and unexpected loops. Next, roam around Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge to meet some of the famous characters from the movies like Princess Leia, Darth Vader, and Chewbacca. Once you've found Baby Yoda (awww!) you can ride through the incredible Rise of the Resistance experience, which makes you feel like you're actually floating through space. Next, use your Park Hopper Pass (you've got one, right?) to zoom back to the Magic Kingdom for dinner at Be Our Guest Restaurant (plan ahead with reservations) and a night out at the House of Blues in Disney Springs.

For day 3, start your morning bright and early at the Animal Kingdom. A ride on Kilimanjaro Safari lets you spot giraffes, elephants, crocodiles, gazelles, lions, rhinos, zebras, and more. After the safari, make your way towards Expedition Everest.

Check out the show inside of the Tree of Life, called "It's Tough to be a Bug!" that'll give you more respect for butterflies than you ever thought possible. Next, head to the stunning Pandora: The World of Avatar to ride its motion simulator experience, which feels a little like flying through the Alpha Centauri System. Ready to head back down to Earth? Use your Park Hopper Pass to get to Epcot.

Did you bring your passport? Kidding, you don't need it, because Epcot lets you eat and drink your way around the world. You can enjoy delicious avocado margaritas and tacos in Mexico, crêpes from France, bratwurst and potato pancakes from Germany, sushi and sake in Japan, and more tasty dishes like buttery lobster tails and chargrilled oysters with cajun butter. Finish out the night with Disney Harmonious, an epic light and fireworks show.

When it comes to planning the perfect bachelorette party in Disney World, choosing the right hotel is half the battle. Below are a few of our suggestions to get you started.

Walt Disney World Swan Reserve

The Swan Reserve is a 5 star, high end option with an elegant feel. If you're looking for a Disney hotel with a touch of luxury that's still centrally located (and with plenty of ways to get to the park like buses and boats), this is a great option. They also have delicious in-house restaurants like Amare Mediterranean .

Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin

For a comfortable place to relax at the end of a long day of walking around Walt Disney World theme parks, the Swan & Dolphin are both wonderful options. They're two separate but connected hotels, both offering ways to get into the parks and Disney Springs with ease.

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort

Created to make Florida feel like a tropical island, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is a fantastic option near Walt Disney World. The monorail is attached, making it really easy for guests to get to the parks. They even have deluxe theme rooms if you're looking to splurge, like overwater bungalows.

Hyatt Regency Orlando

The Hyatt Regency is always a reliable option, especially if you get traveler points for staying there. Just a short distance from Walt Disney World—and Universal Orlando, too!—the Hyatt Regency has beautiful swimming grottos, a fitness center, and plenty of shopping and dining options closeby.

Gaylord Palms, Kissimmee, Florida

Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee, Florida is right near Universal Orlando and Walt Disney World. They have stunning atriums on the property, a relaxing spa, a fitness center, and plenty of ways to recharge in between your Disney activities, including the Cypress Springs Water Park & Resort Pools with Crystal River Rapids. This amenity is a bit of an amusement park in its own right, with huge slides and a lazy river to maximize your out-of-Disney fun time.

If you're looking for a fun night out at Disney restaurants or bars to celebrate your bachelorette, Disney World is full of incredible options. You can explore everything from wine bars to themed restaurants, and stick within the park system or find A Whole New World (sorry…) just a little bit beyond it.

The Best Restaurants in Disney World for Adults

Space 220 Restaurant

Located in Epcot, Space 220 is a little bit like The Mandalorian nightclub scenes—totally alien, but also hysterical and familiar. The space theme is extra (they really committed) but the food is hardly a joke. Dine on Scallop Ravioli with thyme and black truffle pearls, or Coconut Curry Lobster Bisque with butter-poached lobster, and you might never want to come back down to Earth.

Be Our Guest

The Beauty and the Beast themed restaurant takes you inside the Beast's palace… without the curse, of course. Enjoy traditional French dishes like snails in garlic herb butter and Trout Amandine from the epic ballroom that looks exactly like the movie.

"Ohana" means family, and you'll enjoy Polynesian home cooking with dishes like the Honey-Coriander Chicken Wings, Pork Dumplings in a garlic chili sauce, Spicy Peel-n-Eat Shrimp, and Grilled Chicken with chimichurri sauce. This is also one of our favorite places for cocktails thanks to options like the Hawaiian Mule with ginger beer, Pau Maui Handmade Vodka, and a lychee-citrus reduction or the Rum Swizzle with guava, mango, and rum.

Best Bars in Disney World

Wine Bar George - A Restaurant & Bar

If the bride loves wine, Wine Bar George in Disney Springs is a fantastic option. Master Sommelier, George Miliotes, offers a selection of over 140 wines and dishes to share. Snack on spiced warm olives, charcuterie boards, and sweets like a delicious strawberry tart, among other options while sipping on wines from around the world.

Nomad Lounge

Inside Animal Kingdom, Nomad Lounge offers plenty of delicious foods to try like Honey-Chili Glazed Pork Belly with a poached egg, gravy, and a chorizo and cheese biscuit or the Tuna Poke Bowl with kimchi, rice, edamame, and a sesame-chili glaze. Nomad has a wide range of cocktails, as well, like the Night Monkey made with Plantation Original Dark Rum, coffee simple syrup, tart lime juice, guava purée, and cilantro.

La Cava del Tequila

Of course, drinking your way around Epcot is a must while in Disney as an adult. When in Mexico, there are tequila flights and plenty of margaritas to pair with your chips and queso. That includes the famous La Cava Avocado from La Cava del Tequila made with Tromba blanco tequila, fresh avocado, melon liqueur, and lime juice with a hibiscus salt rim.

A Disney trip has a lot of moving parts, so planning ahead and doing your research can help to alleviate any stress you might hit. There are a lot of airlines, some with direct flights depending on where you're coming from, including JetBlue, United, Spirit, Delta, American, and Southwest. Take the earliest flight you can to help avoid delays. Skip renting a car and use the money saved to upgrade your Disney admission with Genie+ and Pass Hopper, which will help you move faster through each park and get onto more rides.

A bachelorette party at Disney World is the perfect way to celebrate the bride-to-be’s last fling before the ring in a magical setting. With so many attractions, dining options, and entertainment choices, there is something for everyone at Disney World. Let’s discover the attractiveness of this place with Viva Wedding Photography to find inspiration for organizing your Disney bachelorette party.

Walt Disney World: Why You’ll Adore It?

Walt Disney World

Disney World is, quite literally, another universe. Alternatively, it’s a “brave new world.” You may visit Disney World and meet everyone’s favorite character, Minnie mouse, have world-class spa treatments, dine at five-star restaurants or the best boardwalk food, witness amazing shows and entertainment, and more in only a few miles’ time.

Here are a few reasons why you and your friends would enjoy a Disney World bachelorette party:

  • Nightlife. Even while Walt Disney World is most commonly associated with kids, the adult entertainment options in Disney Springs are second to none after dark. Nighttime entertainment is available in and around Disney Springs, Downtown Orlando, and Universal Studios’ CityWalk, including drinking establishments, restaurants, nightclubs, and more.
  • Food. There’s a wide variety of restaurants and bars, from quick sandwiches to gourmet five-star fare.
  • Recreational Amusement Parks. Choose any of the 4 major theme parks to spend the day at, or hop around to experience everything each one offers. If you’re up for a change of pace and have more time, you can visit Universal Studios and see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Walt Disney World: What To Do & See

There are four main theme parks that make up the bulk of the Disney World experience. Each club has its own feel and caters to a different demographic of BACH girls.

Both first-timers and Disney veterans will enjoy these top shows and rides. If you’re planning a bachelorette party at Disney World , we can point you toward the top rides in each theme park and other hidden gems around this place.

Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom At Disney World

Magic Kingdom, and especially Cinderella Castle, are perhaps the first things that come to mind when you think of Disney. The park is subdivided into themed areas: Frontierland, Tomorrowland, Main Street, U.S.A, Adventureland, Fantasyland, and Liberty Square. You should go here if you and your closest friends want an authentic experience that embraces the Disney princess theme.

Future World and Epcot’s World Showcase are subareas of Epcot. It may be lacking in some of the more modern conveniences seen in other Disney parks. Still, it more than makes up for it with its abundance of cultural offerings, especially in the form of alcoholic beverages.

Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom At Walt Disney

You can see lions, tigers, gorillas, giraffes, and other exotic species in Animal Kingdom, so why not take a stroll on the wild side? Apart from the dino-themed section, there is also an area devoted to the world of Pandora from “Avatar.”

Hollywood Studios

Stopping by this park for an upcoming bachelorette party at Disney World will add some movie enchantment to your trip. It is the location of one of Disney World’s newest attractions, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Peruse the park’s calendar if you want entertainment to complement your adrenaline rides.

Disney’s Springs

Walt Disney's Springs

The nightlife portion of a Disney World party can be found in the area formerly known as Downtown Disney. It’s a great spot to hang out in the evening because there are many places to eat and drink, hear live music, browse unique stores, and watch people.

Disney’s BoardWalk

If you’re looking for something less hectic than Disney Springs, the BoardWalk’s quarter-mile boardwalk will transport you to Coney Island or Atlantic City in no time. Conveniently located near Epcot, it also features numerous food and entertainment venues. So don’t forget to add this place to your itinerary for a bachelorette party at Disney World .

Disney World’s Fireworks

Disney World's Spectacular Fireworks

Seeing one of Disney World’s spectacular fireworks shows is a great way to end a bachelorette celebration. The Disney Enchanting and Disney Harmonious celebrations are ongoing throughout the year. You might also take a fireworks cruise and watch the show from the ocean; some cruises even offer a dessert party and alcoholic adult beverages with a fireworks theme.

The Bachelorette party at Disney World is ideal for brides who…

  • Fancy a day of nonstop play – Ride one of Epcot’s roller coasters as the bride’s final stag do activity.
  • Looking forward to being pampered like a princess – Have dinner in the castle and spend the day at the Magic Kingdom with her.
  • Get prepared to party it up in Central Orlando – Spend the party time at a convenient location near the park, and enjoy both benefits.

Walt Disney World Accommodation Options

Accommodation Option For Bachelorette At Disney World

When organizing a bachelorette party at Disney World , the first thing to figure out is where to stay. The decision is complicated by Disney’s extensive hotel and resort offerings.

What should you do, according to our recommendations? If you can only spare a weekend, spend the extra money and lodge in the Walt Disney World resort. Your hotel room key is like Magic Band, giving you entry to Disney’s countless attractions, saving you time, money, and hassle going to and from the park. That’s fantastic news because you can ditch your bulky wallet and bring your ID and necessary credit cards.

Some of the best places to stay for Disney-themed bachelorette parties are those we’ve listed below:

  • Disney’s Grand Floridian resort: In this luxurious hotel, which also serves as Disney’s wedding pavilion, you may bask in the spirit of a wedding over the entire weekend. The Magic Kingdom’s nightly fireworks can be seen from the hotel, which is only one monorail station away. Instead, you could all go to the spa or the pool for a relaxing afternoon. In this stunning Victorian inn, delicious meals are plentiful.
  • Disney’s Yacht Club: is the ideal location if you plan on spending lots of time at Epcot. You may also enjoy the property’s incredible 3-acre amazing pools, the largest at any Disney resort, and be within walking distance of the park. You can’t go wrong with Hurricanes Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill or Crew’s Cup Lounge if you’re looking for a laid-back place to eat.
  • Saratoga Springs: is a popular tourist destination. Visiting Disney World with your closest girlfriends almost guarantees a wild time. When that’s the case, let us suggest one word: villa! There’ll be a lot of room for everybody if you stay in your own room, and you won’t have to worry about waking up any nearby children. You’ll need to book months in advance to stay in one of Saratoga Springs’ luxurious villas.

Disney World Dining Recommendations

Dining Suggestion For Disney World Bachelorette

Regarding dining, your options at Walt Disney World and Orlando are virtually limitless. Here, you won’t have trouble finding anything to eat; the most complicated part will be choosing between the five-star restaurants and the quick counter service.

  • Best places to brunch in Disney World: the Grand Floridian Café, Toppolino’s Terrace at the Riviera Resort, and Chef Mickey’s at Epcot.
  • Best places to eat dinner at Walt Disney World: Wine Bar George in Disney Springs, Teppan Edo in Japan at Epcot, and ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Resort.
  • Notable fine dining establishments: Cinderella’s Royal Table at Magic Kingdom, Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom, Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and Le Cellier Steakhouse at Canada’s pavilion at Epcot.

Time-Saving Tips For Disney Bachelorette Party

And nobody wants to waste time at a bachelorette party at Disney World more than anyone else. You should apply these strategic suggestions to maximize your magical bachelorette weekend and park ticket.

If you buy a regular ticket for the day, you can only visit one of the Disney parks. However, a Park Hopper upgrade allows you to enter multiple parks the same day after 2 p.m. The one caveat is that you’ll need daily reservations for any park you visit.

My Disney Experience Mobile App For Bachelorette At Disney World

Simplify and lighten your load using many conveniences, such as park admittance, restaurant payment, hotel room access, and more. MagicBands are a type of bracelet beloved by Disney fans; in the past, they have been given away at no cost to guests of Disney hotels. Hotel guests can access the same capabilities with a complimentary Keys to the World card, but they can also buy one ahead of time or utilize one from a previous visit.

The Disney MagicMobile pass, accessible through the My Disney Experience mobile app, is another choice. This works similarly and lets you link your park tickets & payment options through your smartphone, even if you aren’t staying on the site.

The Addition of Time

As an added bonus, guests of select Disney resorts may enjoy extended park hours. Early Theme Park Entrance and Longer Evening Theme Park Hours may be available to you, relying on where you’re lodging and when you visit.

Disney fans will recognize the term “FastPass,” which was used to arrange a time to ride select Disney World attractions, but this service has been phased out in favor of “Disney Genie,” an online booking system.

Via the My Disney Experience app, you can access two different versions of Disney’s personal planning service: one is free and helps you create your itinerary according to your preferences, while the other, Disney Genie+, costs a set rate per day. Choose the next available arrival time for various attractions and skip the lines with Lightning Lane by taking advantage of this service.

How to plan a magical Bachelorette Party at Walt Disney World

in Disney , Theme Parks , Walt Disney World

A group of people walking down the street

Are you or one of your Disney-loving friends newly engaged? Before you start planning the wedding, there’s the all-important bachelorette party to think about first. I recently planned a bachelorette party at Walt Disney World for one of my best friends and I’ve got lots of recommendations for my fellow planners. Read on to learn how to plan a fun trip for the whole bridal party!

Where to stay

Our trip included five women, and I’d recommend limiting the group to six people. This allows you to stay in one hotel room if you’d like, plus even numbers make it easier for everyone to have a ride buddy at the parks. Our group stayed at The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort , which was a very affordable option. The cabins include one Queen bed, one bunk bed, and one double-size sleeper sofa. So, someone will have to climb up to the top bunk (it was me), but overall, this was a great option for our budget.

The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

The cabins include a kitchen area with a large refrigerator, so you can bring snacks and drinks to enjoy when you get back to the room at the end of the night. Grocery delivery is also an option.

The Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are another budget-friendly option. Rooms are themed to The Lion King, Cars, or Finding Nemo and sleep up to six adults.

If you’re working with a bigger budget, Deluxe Villas are a good choice. These 1- or 2-bedroom villas are available at several resorts across Walt Disney World and offer closer proximity to the theme parks.

Also, if you’re traveling to Walt Disney World from different cities, try to choose flights that arrive around the same time so you can all take the complimentary Disney Magical Express to the resort together. You can also book the Minnie Van Shuttle Service to and from the airport for $150 each way; gratuity not included.

Which FastPasses to book

When planning a Disney trip, I always like to pick one park per day, and sometimes combine Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot into one day. At each park, try to snag FastPasses for your group’s top attractions, but be okay with the fact that not everyone will want to go on every ride. If you have people in the group who don’t like roller coasters, for example, they may want to wait at a nearby quick-service restaurant or do some shopping while the rest of the group takes advantage of the FastPass .

If you can’t get FastPasses for certain popular attractions, like Slinky Dog Dash at Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Flight of Passage at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, your best bet is to head straight for those rides when the park opens. Wait in the standby line, enjoy the ride, and then continue your day of fun.

Where to eat

I always like to book at least one sit-down meal per day, and because you’re celebrating a bride-to-be, there may be a special restaurant she has in mind for one of these meals. For our group, the big celebratory meal was at Le Cellier in Epcot’s Canada pavilion. We ordered bubbly, shared lots of appetizers, and treated ourselves to Filet Mignon. Everyone left full and happy.

I also highly recommend doing a Character Breakfast for great photo opportunities. We had breakfast at Tusker House in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and got lots of fun pictures of the bridal party with Mickey, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy.

It’s also always nice to time your meal with a fireworks show. California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Tokyo Dining or Rose & Crown at Epcot are good places to have a meal and catch the shows.

To make paying the bill easier at table service restaurants, we took turns putting the entire bill on one credit card . Venmo is your friend on group vacations.

Besides your main sit-down meal, the group may want to stop at various quick-service restaurants or kiosks throughout the day for light meals or snacks. There’s no shortage of dining options at the parks and hotels, so you can make your meal schedule as flexible or as planned as you like.

Where to have fun

You can certainly enjoy an alcohol-free vacation at Walt Disney World, but if your group enjoys cocktails, beer, and wine, there are many options both in and out of the parks. At Magic Kingdom , the table service restaurants now offer alcoholic beverages to enjoy with your meal. And of course, Epcot offers the chance to drink around the world at different pavilions, and there are plenty of fun offerings at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, too. Our favorite libations in the parks include:

  • Margaritas at La Cava del Tequila in Mexico
  • Grand Marnier slushes in France

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

  • Cocktails at The Nomad Lounge
  • Dole Whip with rum at Tamu Tamu Refreshments

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

  • Cocktails at the Tune-In Lounge
  • Sangria at The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge

Outside of the parks, it’s fun to visit various resorts to take in the scenery and have a drink. Our favorite place to visit is Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, home to Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. This tiki bar is always a must-stop spot on any Disney trip, but it’s especially fun for a bachelorette party.

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto served at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Disney’s BoardWalk also offers a lot of fun options. You can stop by AbracadaBar, the magic-themed cocktail lounge, for a handcrafted drink. Then, head over to Jellyrolls for dueling pianos and lively sing-alongs or dance the night away at Atlantic Dance Hall.

Over at Disney Springs , there are even more dining and bar options. One popular choice is The Edison, an industrial gothic-style hotspot with food, drinks, and live entertainment.

What to wear

Without a doubt, the bride must wear a Minnie Mouse Bride Ear Headband. You can purchase them from shopDisney or find unique versions on Etsy, but either way, we considered this a must-have accessory for the bride-to-be. The bridal party can wear matching headbands, but we opted to have everyone choose their own headwear after arriving at the parks.

A bride walking at Magic Kingdom

If your bridal party isn’t into ear headbands or Disney-themed hats, you can opt for matching personalized t-shirts or tank tops, too. This is a cute option from Etsy .

We’re also big fans of getting Disney-themed manicures for every trip, and there are lots of great options if you search on Instagram. Find a design you like and show to the manicurist at your local nail salon — you can even get matching bridal-themed nails for this trip!

Three hands showing the manicure

When to relax

Whenever you want! If your group wants to build in a day of relaxation , you can choose a day to sleep in, lounge by your resort pool, go to the spa, and have a nice meal somewhere. Whenever I go to Walt Disney World with a group, we like to pack as much park time in as possible and don’t usually devote a day to R&R. It’s ultimately whatever works best for you.

Start planning the magic

There are so many ways to plan a memorable bachelorette party at Walt Disney World. If the bride-to-be loves planning Disney trips, she can take the lead and make reservations, etc. If not, choose one point person in the group to make the majority of reservations and plans. Group texts will come in very handy during the planning process and while you’re in the parks.

If you’d rather have someone else do the planning for you, we recommend our friends at Academy Travel. Authorized Disney Vacation Planners can alleviate much of the stress in planning and booking your next vacation, from making your dining reservations and booking your accommodations to providing general advice and even creating a personalized itinerary for your trip.  Click here for a no-obligation quote.

Ultimate Guide to Disney World Bachelorette Parties

by Maria Salerno · June 15, 2019

disney world bachelorette trip

The hysterical wedding comedy Bride Wars teaches us a lot about friendships and the stresses that coincide with planning a wedding, though it’s most important lesson is that “June at the Plaza” is basically the be-all end-all of wedding timing and location in New York City . Disney World bachelorette parties are magical too!

June is here, and the myriad of weddings happening all around me over the past few weeks tells me, so it must be wedding season! The Plaza is a gorgeous setting to say “I do”, and I can tell you that its host city is any newlywed couples’ dream location to celebrate, but just one day of celebrations isn’t going to cut it for the most important event of your life!

disney world bachelorette trip

A summer wedding at Walt Disney World is almost as coveted as June at the Plaza, and if you’re one of the many couples putting the finishing touches on your Walt Disney World wedding day plans, this article was created with you in mind! Brides: you’ve made the choice to have a destination wedding, and your bridal party has agreed to join you in Florida for the big day.

If you haven’t thought of celebrating your last few days of being single at Walt Disney World Resort- or if you have and just don’t know where to start- grab your girls and a bottle of champagne, because you’re going to have a bachelorette celebration you’ll never forget this summer!

Inside the Parks

The bachelorette weekends I’ve been to were made up of over-the-top outfits and empty bottles of wine, and while they were definitely fun, ‘memorable’ is not the word I’d use to describe them…and there is much more than excess wine to blame for that!

Take your bridal party to the parks for a heck of a celebration! When the day of your party finally arrives, you’ve worked so hard to make sure you’re going to look like a princess on the big day that it’s due time you start feeling like one, too! Head to Magic Kingdom with your girls and take Fantasyland by storm! You can get your wedding-day inspiration from Princess-themed attractions like Enchanted Tales with Belle and Journey Under the Sea!

disney world bachelorette trip

You’re getting married in the year 2019 and if I know one thing, it’s that your wedding has its very own social media hashtag! Magic Kingdom is the park to go to for the best photo backdrops of any park. Photopass photographers are located in each land through Magic Kingdom and are ready to capture high-res photos of you and your friends’ shenanigans as you romp through the park.

Pick up a famous Disney treat like a Dole Whip or Mickey Pretzel and strike a silly pose for a memorable shot, or head on over to Tomorrowland and grab the new purple wall-inspired drink that was made to perfectly match the hue of that Insta-famous wall!

Cocktail Crawl

Even though you’ll be partying in Walt Disney World, that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of adult-geared ways to celebrate your nuptials. Since you’re celebrating your bachelorette party, you’ve got a whole band of party-ready girls by your side, so put them to good use! There are traditional cocktails aplenty around the Resort, but a party like this calls for the biggest and most wild concoctions of them all!

At The Wave, take your friends to the bar for a Seven Seas Lagoon. The giant cocktail draws inspiration from body of water the restaurant sits along, and its sheer size will be enough to make your friends’ jaws sink to the bottom of the lake! The enormous cocktail comes with 2 straws…but don’t underestimate its power, there are plenty of big drinks still to come, and I strongly suggest splitting this one more than 2 ways.

disney world bachelorette trip

Over at Trader Sam’s, the Nautilus, served in a gargantuan submarine shaped glass, features a tropical juice blend, liqueurs for flavor, and my favorite of all dark liquors: rum. Actually, not just one, but two types of rum are blended with the rest of the ingredients, making this cocktail as strong as the storms passing by the windows outside. This is another drink (smartly) served with two straws, so a sharing buddy is a must.

disney world bachelorette trip

My favorite colossal cocktail at Walt Disney World Resort can be found just one story above Trader Sam’s. Climb the stairs in the Polynesian’s lobby and order a Lapu Lapu at Kona Café’s bar! Pineapple juice, orange juice, and a concoction of rums replace the usual fruit in the middle of a freshly-hollowed pineapple for a drink so festive and so strong, your mind will trick you into thinking you’re relaxing on the beach in Polynesia!

The Best Party Atmospheres

disney world bachelorette trip

It’s your last night before you’re married, and you want to surround yourself with the funniest and craziest friends you have to experience that carefree single life until the sun comes up! At Disney Springs, my favorite late night spot for a high class, throwback entertainment is The Edison.

You and your friends can sip on their signature cocktails and, if you’re visiting on the weekends, experience the art of high-flying acrobats as they twist and twirl their way through the chic industrial space!

Raglan Road Disney Springs

For a more traditional bar atmosphere with a little added Disney magic, Raglan Road is my recommendation! This traditional Irish bar is aflush with guests of all ages and live entertainment during dinner hours, but visit late at night for amped up musical acts and a classic twist on an electric bar vibe!

You’re in the final prep stages for the big day now, and after all of your partying adventures, you’re going to want to spruce yourself up and give that pristine white dress a run for its money! Treat yourself and your bridal party to a spa day at one of the many options across the Resort.

disney world bachelorette trip

The spas at Disney’s Wilderness lodge and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge are my two favorites as they are always less crowded than the super popular Grand Floridian, which almost guarantees you’ll get more attention and possibly even a longer service!

Disney spas

We can help you book a day at the spa of your choosing ahead of the big day, so leave us a comment below and let us know what you’re most looking forward to doing before your big day! Grooms-to-be…stay tuned, your guide to the perfect bachelor party is on the way!

Day 1: Arrival to Orlando

Welcome to the “Happiest Place on Earth”! Throughout the day your group arrives and once you are checked-in, you'll set up the villa to celebrate the bride-to-be while catching up with old friends and new over drinks and snacks before getting ready for dinner. MAGICAL TIP: Pre-order snacks, drinks, waters and breakfast items from Publix/Instacart for pick up or delivery to your Hotel.

Kick off your magical bachelorette weekend with a knee slappin’ good time at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue dinner show located at Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. This Wild West musical comedy is ~2 hours and is sure to leave the group in stitches from laughing. Tickets are inclusive taxes/gratuity and also include unlimited beer, wine and sangria. Grab Minnie Van(s) via the Lyft app to drop your group off and pick you back up right by the Pioneer Hall theater. MAGICAL TIP: Dining reservations open 60 days prior to Resort arrival date and are highly recommended for large parties, especially for dinner. While reservations can be confirmed on your My Disney Experience account, large parties may be split into 2 reservations that will be linked.

Day 2: Drinks Around the World at Epcot

People are exploring the Epcot international gateway

A journey through eleven countries in one day and a cheers to the bride at each! Let’s be honest, this bachelorette weekend isn’t designed for kids so there’s no need to have every detail of your day at EPCOT planned out or to rush from Point A to Point B. Arrive when the park opens and make your way to the World Showcase to begin your “trip around the world”. MAGICAL TIP: Add the “Memory Maker One Day” Disney PhotoPass to link all photos/videos from the professional photographers located throughout the Park. All photos are instantly available on your My Disney Experience account so you can download and share them right away!

EPCOT FESTIVALS

While everyone knows about EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival, there are 3 other festivals that are just as fun and bring something new to the park each time you visit.

International Festival of the Arts (January - February)

International Flower & Garden Festival (March - July)

International Food & Wine Festival (July - November)

International Festival of the Holidays (November - December)

Day 3: Pool Day & Monorail Bar Crawl

a large otherworldly fortress lit up at nightfall

With a full day of walking (and drinking) around EPCOT under your belt, your bachelorette crew has earned a well-deserved morning of recovery and relaxation. Enjoy your hotel’s pool for a morning full of Florida sunshine before you hop on the monorail to start the bar crawl.

Breakfast: Bagels/Pastries/Fruit in Villa Lunch: Poolside! Dinner: Apps & Food During Bar Crawl

MONORAIL BAR CRAWL

Take the next Bus from your Hotel to the Transportation & Ticket Center to hop on the Resort Monorail. Stop 1 - Polynesian Village Resort Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto - This is one of the most sought after bars at WDW which is why I recommend stopping here first. Put your name on the waitlist and hang at Tambu Lounge in the meantime. They don’t take reservations, but even with a party of 10+ we were able to enjoy the fun of Trader Sam’s.

Tambu Lounge - Hang here while you wait for entry into Trader Sam’s.

Stop 2 - Grand Floridian Resort Enchanted Rose

Stop 3 - Contemporary Resort Outer Rim Lounge Then monorail back to the T&T Center to hop on the bus back to your hotel.

Disney World Bachelorette

Since Walt Disney World is one of the most popular places to host a destination wedding, it is no surprise that it is also the site of lots of bachelorette parties! Whether you are local to Orlando and just planning a night out at Disney World, or planning a weekend getaway with your besties, there are some places that need to go on your list for a magical bachelorette weekend.

Drinking around World Showcase in EPCOT is always a go-to bachelorette party activity, as your group can stop for a drink throughout the park’s 11 countries. For Guests 21 and over, drinking around the world is a very popular activity as there is something for everyone with beer, wine, cocktails, and more, plus snacks unique to each pavilion. For an overnight or weekend getaway, plan to use Disney’s complimentary transportation services to avoid driving back to your resort!

Nearby, Disney’s BoardWalk has a couple of locations that would be fun additions to a bachelorette party. Abracadabar features cocktails with a magical twist, and Jellyrolls is a dueling piano bar with talented musicians and tasty cocktails. Jellyrolls does have a cover charge (of $18 per person) which is not the norm for bars at Walt Disney World, but it is certainly worth it.

Another evening idea for a bachelorette party comes at a different EPCOT area resort. Visit the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort for karaoke at Kimonos served up alongside fresh sushi. For a daytime bachelorette idea at the resort, head to Phins, the lobby bar at the Dolphin for Bloody Mary brunch specials.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has a couple of bars that should be added to your bachelorette lineup. Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is an ‘enchanted tiki bar,’ unlike any other with tropical cocktails served up in souvenir tiki mugs. The space is loaded with details for Disney and tiki fans, and the Cast Members make the experience truly memorable. And, on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House, Tambu Lounge offers small bites and cocktails like the iconic Backscratcher (which comes with a full-sized backscratcher!)

disney world bachelorette trip

Continuing with brunch though, Walt Disney World has a lot of exciting options! The Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa serves up a very popular brunch with menu items ranging from chicken and waffles to vanilla-laced French toast, all served alongside mimosas and specialty blended cocktails.

In Disney Springs, The BOATHOUSE recently started serving brunch with a side of live music and nautical flare. And you can complete your bachelorette experience at The BOATHOUSE brunch with an Amphicar ride around Disney Springs.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom might not be the first Disney theme park to come to mind for a bachelorette party, but a trip to the park can really make for an exciting day out with your girls. Nomad Lounge offers some of the best cocktails at Walt Disney World alongside favorite small bites like some of the best churros in Disney.

These picks are just the beginning of what you need to know to plan the perfect bachelorette party in Walt Disney World. You can cap off the experience with a fireworks cruise or dessert party, splurge on dinner at a signature restaurant like California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort or the Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

However you choose to plan an upcoming bachelorette party, you are sure to have a magical time with your closest friends!

Fairytale Wishes: Planning Your Disney World Bachelorette Party

I ’ve always dreamed of a bachelorette party that stood out from the rest, one that combined adventure, magic, and a touch of nostalgia. A celebration at Disney World, with its iconic parks like Magic Kingdom and Epcot, seemed like an ambitious dream. This idea struck me as the chance to create unforgettable memories with my closest friends, against the backdrop of Cinderella Castle and the fireworks show that lights up the night sky.

Disney resorts offer a variety of experiences, from thrilling rides in Adventureland and Fantasyland to unique Disney dining experiences that promise to delight every palate. The inclusion of FastPass and Disney PhotoPass ensures that every magical moment is captured and savored, making a Disney World bachelorette party not just an event, but a dream come true, enveloped in the charm and wonder of Disney’s legacy. Here, nostalgia meets novelty, where every bride-to-be can feel like a princess awaiting her fairytale ending.

Why Choose Disney World?

Imagine stepping into a world where every corner sparks joy and every ride is an adventure. Disney World, with its blend of Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney Springs, unfolds as the ultimate backdrop for a bachelorette party. Its magic is palpable, surrounding guests in an atmosphere filled with laughter and dreams come true. The parks offer a diverse palette of attractions, from the fairytale charm of Cinderella Castle in Fantasyland to the futuristic allure of Epcot.

Not just for kids, these theme parks in Orlando cater to the young at heart, ensuring memorable experiences for every visitor. Whether it’s the thrill of Adventureland or the awe of a fireworks show, Disney World encapsulates a variety of entertainment options. Alongside, the Disney resorts serve as luxurious sanctuaries, offering themed stays close to the magic.

For those planning group travel, FastPass, Disney PhotoPass, and Disney dining add convenience, making every moment effortlessly enjoyable. In essence, the array of experiences at Disney World speaks to all, making it an unparalleled choice for a bachelorette celebration.

Picking the Perfect Disney Resort

Choosing the ideal Disney resort might feel like a daunting task, yet it remains a pivotal decision. It shapes our entire bachelorette experience, immersing us in a realm where dreams blend with reality. We ponder themes that resonate, proximity to our beloved parks, and the perks we most treasure. With options from the enchantment of Fantasyland to the adventures awaiting in Adventureland, every choice promises a unique backdrop for our celebration.

Disney resorts, with their distinctive themes and direct park access, ensure our days are filled with magic from dawn to dusk. Amenities such as FastPasses elevate our experience, allowing more time for unforgettable moments. Whether witnessing the grandeur of Cinderella Castle, marveling at Epcot’s innovations, or enjoying the nightlife at Disney Springs, our selected resort sets the stage.

It turns our stay into more than just a visit; it becomes a lush tapestry of shared stories and laughter, against the backdrop of Orlando’s magical kingdom. Deliberate consideration in our selection process will weave the perfect beginning to our fairytale bachelorette saga.

Must-Visit Attractions

I remember my first glimpse of Cinderella Castle, standing majestically in the Magic Kingdom, a sight to behold, promising a day filled with adventure and nostalgia. Our group made a beeline for Fantasyland, where classic attractions like the whimsical It’s a Small World and the thrilling Peter Pan’s Flight awaited. The laughter and joy these rides sparked were infectious, reminding us of childhood days spent dreaming of fairytales.

Our adventure continued to Epcot, where the globe-trotting experience around the World Showcase became a highlight. Sampling delicacies from various countries, we felt united in our diverse tastes and interests. Spaceship Earth provided a captivating journey through time, leaving us in awe of humanity’s innovations.

Disney Dining Experiences

Disney World unfurls a banquet of dining experiences that are a feast for the senses. From the magic of character dining to the sophistication of fine dining , each meal turns into a cherished memory. We knew the importance of savoring these moments. Thus, securing our spots at the table early was crucial. Disney dining options spread across the realms of Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and the Disney resorts, offering an eclectic mix of flavors that catered to our diverse tastes.

Imagine dining beneath the stars at Epcot’s international pavilions or enjoying a whimsical breakfast with Cinderella. The choices amazed us. We were told that some experiences, like character dining, require reservations well in advance. This advice served us well. Whether it was the culinary adventures in Epcot or the enchanting dinners at Cinderella’s Castle, planning was key. The effort paid off, leaving us with delightful tales told over shared meals, laughter, and the clinking of glasses to the tune of Disney nightlife.

Nightlife and Entertainment

For those of us weaving a tapestry of memories at Disney World, the enchantment doesn’t fade as the sun dips. The theme parks, particularly Magic Kingdom and Epcot, offer a tableau of night-time wonders. Gathering with my friends under the sparkling glow of fireworks near Cinderella Castle was a moment I’ll treasure forever.

Yet, Disney’s allure extends beyond the parks. Disney Springs emerges as a vibrant nightlife hub, where lounges and clubs unfurl a mosaic of musical genres and themed ambiances. This fusion of experiences ensures there’s something for everyone, whether we yearn for the fantastical spectacle of adventure in Fantasyland and Adventureland or the sophisticated pulse of urban entertainment.

For my bachelorette party, ensuring we didn’t miss the iconic fireworks show was paramount. It encapsulated the magic and drama of our celebration, cementing a night illuminated by joy and the promise of tomorrow’s adventures.

Creating Lasting Memories

Disney PhotoPass became our magic wand, capturing every laugh and smile. It was there when we posed in front of Cinderella Castle, and again as fireworks painted the sky. Our group never missed a chance to snap photos, especially in themed lands like Fantasyland and Adventureland.

I suggested we try the unique angles not everyone thinks of, like the reflection of the castle in the water or us running towards the camera from the entrance of Magic Kingdom. These pictures are more than just images. They are treasures, ones that hold the spirit of our Disney World bachelorette party.

Every time I glance at them, the joy and magic of those days flood back, as vivid as if we were still there, laughing under the Orlando sun. With Disney’s myriad experiences from Epcot’s global journey to the nightlife at Disney Springs, there was no shortage of moments to capture. These memories, frozen in time by Disney PhotoPass, have become priceless keepsakes we’ll cherish forever.

A Magical Send-off

As we waved goodbye to the twinkling lights of Cinderella Castle, a sense of enchantment lingered in the air. Our Disney World bachelorette party was more than just a celebration; it was a journey into a world where dreams come alive.

We had danced under the stars at Disney Springs, laughed on exhilarating rides through Adventureland and Fantasyland, and dined like royalty. Each firework that lit up the night sky seemed to echo our joy and excitement. I encourage you, dear reader, to consider the magic of Disney World for your bachelorette celebration.

Let the possibility of adventure, the thrill of group travel, and the allure of Disney dining shape an unforgettable experience. Embrace the Disney spirit, and let it guide you toward a bachelorette party filled with wonder, laughter, and memories that will sparkle for a lifetime.

Editor's Note: Travel might be complicated right now, but use our inspirational trip ideas to plan ahead for your next bucket list adventure. Those who choose to travel are strongly encouraged to check local government restrictions, rules, and safety measures related to COVID-19 and take personal comfort levels and health conditions into consideration before departure.

Whether you're planning a reunion, bachelorette party, or just a long weekend away, Disney World can be the perfect destination for a girls' trip . With countless delicious restaurants and bars, seasonal festivals, fantastic shopping and entertainment, innovative attractions, and all the nostalgia and magical memories, the theme park resort has a lot to offer adult travelers looking for a fun getaway with friends. Here's how to plan the perfect Disney World girls' trip.

Before You Go

Before planning any girls' trip, connect with your friends to make sure you're all on the same page about the basics: budget, travel logistics, and any must-dos. Even if you're a laid-back traveler, you'll want to prep some plans in advance because there's so much to experience at Walt Disney World.

First, you'll need to book travel, accommodations, and theme park tickets. Be sure to make theme park and dining reservations for any table-service locations as you plan your trip — popular restaurants can book up fast. If you have dedicated Disney fans in your group, chat about the rides, attractions, and experiences that are most important, so you can begin to create a rough plan of the stops you'll want to make every day.

Get your fanny packs, sunscreen, comfy shoes, and Mickey ears ready — you're going to the "Most Magical Place on Earth" with your best friends, and really, what's better than that?

Where to Stay at Disney World

There are countless places to stay in the Orlando area , but opting for a Disney World Resort hotel offers several perks that you just won't find off-property. Complimentary transportation via boat, Skyliner, Monorail, or bus makes getting around a breeze, and immersive theming means you never have to leave the magical atmosphere. From affordable Value Resorts to the more luxurious Deluxe Resorts, there's an option for every price point.

Disney's Pop Century Resort is a fun, budget-friendly option — its rooms have been recently renovated, and they're sleek, clean, and modern (with several Disney touches, of course). Plus, the resort's exterior, pools, and common areas have a nostalgic feel that takes us right back to childhood Disney vacations. Bonus: The property is located on the Skyliner system, so it's easy and quick to get to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you want to splurge for more luxe accommodations, book Disney's Yacht Club Resort or Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa — both offer sophisticated rooms located within walking distance of a theme park.

If you're planning a girls' trip to Disney World, you probably expect to spend a day (or two or three) in the theme parks. Whether you want to relive your childhood memories revisiting classic attractions like Peter Pan's Flight or Space Mountain or prefer to experience the new, innovative rides like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance , you're guaranteed to have a magical time hanging out at the four theme parks with your pals. Opt for a Park Hopper ticket , so you can visit more than one park per day — you could spend your morning seeing animals and exploring Pandora in Animal Kingdom before heading over to Epcot for a world tour of eats and drinks.

If you're planning a trip longer than three days, consider adding a low-key day about halfway through your itinerary, so your travel companions don't get too tired. For something more relaxed, head to your resort's pool; visit one of the water parks to splash around in the wave pool, relax in the lazy river, or plunge down waterslides; or play some themed mini golf for a little friendly competition.

Spend at least one evening at the Disney Springs shopping, dining, and entertainment district. There, you'll find shops selling all kinds of Disney merchandise (don't forget to snag some matching shirts or Minnie Mouse ears from the World of Disney), along with stores like Free People, Lululemon, Sephora, Zara, and more.

Where to Eat

Disney World theme parks have become culinary destinations in their own right, going beyond the standard amusement park fare to offer some delicious and interesting food and drink options. (Don't worry, you can still find classic snacks like corn dogs and popcorn, too.) There are eateries that cater to every taste, budget, and dietary preference (Disney World has added some excellent plant-based options in recent years). And of course, because it's Disney, there are dozens of themed and interactive dining experiences for guests of all ages.

Find iconic Disney World snacks like Dole Whips, corn dogs, funnel cakes, and more in Magic Kingdom , along with table-service options including Cinderella's Royal Table and Be Our Guest (for the girls in your group who are still princesses at heart). Disney's Hollywood Studios serves nostalgia alongside meals at the vintage-themed 50's Prime Time Cafe and Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, and the restaurants in Star Wars : Galaxy's Edge offer an out-of-this-world experience, especially appreciated by fans of the film franchise (but loved by everyone).

Try to snag a reservation at Oga's Cantina for some intergalactically inspired cocktails and ambience, or go for craft beers and snacks at BaseLine Tap House. In Animal Kingdom, Satu'li Canteen is a great option for flavorful lunch bowls; Nomad Lounge is ideal for small plates and cocktails; and Tamu Tamu Refreshments offers Dole Whips served with rum.

Epcot is the ultimate foodie destination within Walt Disney World Resort — where else can you try food and drinks in 11 countries around the globe over the course of an afternoon? Whether you want to snack around the world or enjoy a table-service meal at an internationally inspired restaurant, Epcot is sure to have something for everyone in your group. Visit during one of the park's festivals — Festival of the Arts , Flower & Garden, Food & Wine, or Festival of the Holidays — for even more seasonal, globally inspired sips and eats.

Disney Springs is home to dozens of great restaurants and quick-service eateries, too. Wine Bar George is perfect for a girls' night out, with over 150 expertly picked wines by the glass, bottle, or ounce, delicious bites and boards, and even frozen cocktails made with Dole Whip. For dessert, try Mickey-shaped pastries at Amorette's Patisserie or a famously decadent cookie at Gideon's Bakehouse .

Plan the Ultimate Bachelorette Weekend at Disney With These Ideas

disney world bachelorette trip

If you're not into wild Vegas parties but get bored just sitting on a beach, Walt Disney World is the perfect spot for a bachelorette weekend. Even if you're not a big Disney fan, there's so much to do for the 21-and-over crowd, from fun nightlife to spas to an emerging craft beer scene. I recently celebrated my own bachelorette party at Disney World, and it was the perfect balance of go-go-go and relaxation.

If you're planning a bachelorette trip , check out my itinerary for an unforgettable bridal bash, from must-dos and must-eats to the perfect Instagrammable accessories. Read ahead for the ultimate party-planning guide for a long weekend at Disney .

— Additional reporting by Lauren Harano

Set a Color Palette

Set a Color Palette

Just like your wedding, set a color palette for your bachelorette party. This helps with decorations and party favors, and clues your guests in on what outfits to pack. My wedding had a gender-neutral palette with lots of dark wood and sage, so I went with something totally different for the weekend.

Personalize MagicBands

Personalize MagicBands

MagicBands make navigating the parks so easy. It's your room key, wallet, and park ticket all in one bracelet. When you stay at a Disney property, you get a free MagicBand, but the colors are limited. I gave our basic gray bands a makeover with these Glittery Rose Gold MagicBand Decals ($6) from Etsy.

Main Image

Disney-Themed Favors

Technically, getting your passport stamped around Epcot's World Showcase is for children. But cast members absolutely welcome adults, and it always makes a fun souvenir — especially when they write your name in another language. Instead of the official passports sold in the park, I got these custom Millennial Pink With Rose Gold Foil World Showcase Passports ($5) from Etsy.

Main Image

Practical Favors

Disney-themed gifts are fun but I've always been a fan of bachelorette favors you can actually use. These Personalized Rose Gold Wine Tumblers ($17) kept our mimosas cold and also helped keep track of everyone's cup.

Main Image

Bridal Ears

I never planned my dream wedding or thought about my wedding dress as a kid, but I've wanted to wear those bridal Minnie ears since my first trip to Walt Disney World. I opted for these handmade Bridal Ears With a Sparkly Tiara and Veil ($11) because when else can you justify wearing something like that as a grown woman? Being a bride at Disney is awesome. Cast members congratulate you, park guests say "Awww" when you walk by, and it makes you feel so special.

Main Image

Wear Comfortable Shoes

Don't be fooled by Instagram influencers wearing cute heels at Disney! If you plan on being in the parks all day, you need arch support. I opted for bridal-white Birkenstocks and sneakers.

Stay in a Disney Villa

Stay in a Disney Villa

Staying on property at Disney is expensive, but it comes with perks such as extra hours in the parks. My crew stayed in a villa at Bay Lake Tower. The Disney Vacation Club property is attached to Disney's Contemporary Resort, but you don't have to be a club member to stay in DVC rooms. The villas are a great way for larger groups to stay together, and they come with a full kitchen, which we stocked with snacks from the Publix down the road. The tower also features amazing views of Magic Kingdom. You can watch the fireworks at Cinderella's Castle from the comfort of your living room.

Carry-On-Friendly Decorations

Carry-On-Friendly Decorations

The only drawback of traveling for a bachelorette party is that you can't hang decorations in a hotel room. Instead, we propped up foil letter balloons throughout the villa. The balloons are easy to travel with and reusable. I sold mine on Facebook Marketplace after the weekend and put the money toward the wedding.

Ride in a Minnie Van

Getting around Disney is easy with the park's complimentary buses, ferries, and monorail, but at least once during your trip, you should pay for Minnie Van Service. The fleet of polka-dot SUVs can be ordered through the Lyft app (once you're on Disney property) and can go anywhere within the parks for a flat fee.

Disney's Boardwalk

One of my favorite spots at Disney World is actually outside the parks. Reminiscent of a turn-of-the-century beach town, Disney's Boardwalk is packed with fun nightlife, and it's a great place to kick off a bachelorette weekend.

AbracadaBar

AbracadaBar

For your first toast of the trip, head to AbracadaBar for magic-themed cocktails and snacks. The theme in this lounge is based on the golden age of magic, and the story goes that this was once a social club for magicians . . . until all the magicians disappeared.

Disney Has a Dance Club

Yes, really. Disney has a discotheque, and it's hilariously awesome. Atlantic Dance Hall is kind of like a do-over on your worst middle school dance. The '80s and '90s jams are spot on. The DJ actually takes requests. And there's no cover. It's fun to roll up, dance to some *NSYNC with no judgment, and roll out on the way to something else.

Karaoke at Kimonos

Karaoke at Kimonos

Just off the Boardwalk, the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel features one of the best gems in the entire park: karaoke. Yes, the song book includes tons of Disney tunes. And, yes, the back bar serves very strong drinks.

Saturday: Pick a Park

Saturday: Pick a Park

Just because you can hop to every park doesn't mean you should. I didn't want to run myself ragged on my bachelorette, so I chose one park (my favorite park) for the day: Epcot. We also did something I've never done at Disney: slept in. Typically, I'm the crazy lady at rope drop ready to squeeze in as much as I can, but sleeping in allowed us to recoup from the night before and it also set a more leisurely pace for the day.

Take a Disney Wall Photo

Take a Disney Wall Photo

Disney walls have become such a thing that Epcot now sells ears inspired by the bubble gum wall. Try to discover a new colorful spot or just stick to the OG outside the exit of Spaceship Earth. If you're new to the Walls of Disney, there are certain painted walls around the parks that have become popular through guests taking selfies in front of them.

Drink Around the World

Drink Around the World

From beer in Germany to sake in Japan, drinking around Epcot's World Showcase is one of the top reasons adults love Disney World. Just remember: never start in Mexico. The avocado margaritas are potent, and you won't even make it to the African outpost. I always start counterclockwise in Canada.

Dinner and Fireworks

There are so many delicious places to eat in Epcot's World Showcase, but for dinner I always head to Tokyo Dining. We timed our dinner to see the park's "Illuminations" fireworks show from the restaurant's terrace. I've seen the view of "Illuminations" from each pavilion, and Tokyo is my favorite because the torii gate frames the fireworks for a great photo.

Sunday: Have a Pool Day

Sunday: Have a Pool Day

Instead of scheduling back-to-back park days, we did something a lot of guests never do: we enjoyed our resort's pool. The Contemporary has a quiet pool that overlooks Bay Lake. It's not adults-only, but there are two other pools on property with slides that draw the kids away.

Rent a Cabana

Rent a Cabana

We splurged on a private cabana for the group, and I can say it's the best decision I've ever made at Disney. The cabana came with a fridge, TV, tons of shaded lounge space, and, since it was also my birthday, surprise balloons.

Dinner and More Fireworks

Since we didn't go to the Magic Kingdom, we ate dinner at The Contemporary's California Grill. Again, we timed our dinner to see the park's nighttime show. The restaurant has amazing views of the park and the "Happily Ever After" fireworks and projection show. Even better, the restaurant has speakers on the deck that play the show's music so the only thing you're missing is the crowd of people in front of the castle. If you can't get a dinner reservation during the fireworks, try the restaurant's lounge. The cocktails are delicious and come with cute monorail swizzle sticks.

Monorail Bar Crawl

Monorail Bar Crawl

Drinking around the world at Epcot gets a lot of hype, but another 21-and-over must-do is the monorail bar crawl. Hop on the monorail and stop for a drink at each resort on the route. At The Contemporary, your group can share a 24-ounce Seven Seas Lagoon complete with gummy fish or you can enjoy a classic cocktail at The Grand Floridian's Mizner Lounge. We had an abridged crawl on this trip and went straight to Trader Sam's Grog Grotto at the Polynesian Resort. This interactive tiki bar has some really fun Disney magic. No spoilers, but different drinks trigger things to happen inside the bar. Don't make the gods angry!

How my group of 8 spent $5,000 on a bachelorette weekend at Disney World — and which parts were the best value

  • I was in charge of planning a friend's bachelorette weekend trip to Disney World for eight people.
  • We stuck to a $5,000 budget by doing free activities at Disney and staying in a budget hotel .
  • We splurged on drinking around the world at Epcot and buying park tickets.

Insider Today

I'm a theme-park journalist who's visited Disney World over 500 times . So when my friend said she wanted her bachelorette party in Disney World, I helped plan it.

Our group of eight set a budget of $5,000 — including airfare, hotel stays, alcohol, and meals — and planned to enjoy a mix of pricey experiences and affordable activities.

Here's what we splurged and saved on and how we did the weekend for about $5,000.

Flights are typically one of the biggest expenses for a destination bachelorette trip, but we utilized points and budget airfare.

disney world bachelorette trip

Airfare is often one of the biggest expenses when traveling, but I was able to book a budget flight on Spirit Airlines .

My flight to Orlando was $18 with a $60 return trip, bringing my total flight to just $78. I usually fly American Airlines, which typically costs me around $300 roundtrip for the same route.

The rest of the group used budget airlines or loyalty points to get cheap or free flights. Airfare varied since other group members flew in from Key West, Nashville, and the New York area.

We booked one of Disney World's most affordable hotels.

disney world bachelorette trip

I've stayed at every Disney World hotel, and to keep within budget for this trip, we stayed at my favorite affordable resort, Wyndham Lake Buena Vista.

This was my third stay at this resort, and I've always been able to find rates at $100 or less. For context, other Disney resorts can cost over $1,000 a night.

Even though it's one of the cheapest Disney World hotels , I found it to offer a complete resort experience, like on-site dining, bars, a coffee shop, and an expansive pool complex.

The hotel's location was also a win, as it's located directly across the street from Disney Springs, an outdoor shopping and entertainment complex.

As an official Disney World hotel, our stay came with free transportation to the theme parks , which saved us money on costly ride-share services.

We booked three rooms to share for two nights, and each night only cost about $100.

Our hotel also had a great affordable breakfast, complete with Mickey waffles.

disney world bachelorette trip

I love starting a theme-park day with a big breakfast — but at Disney World, breakfast can easily set a big group back hundreds of dollars.

I was surprised to find our hotel offered an affordable all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet at LakeView Restaurant. It even had Disney's famous Mickey waffles.

This breakfast cost us $30 per person, with tip.

Theme-park tickets were one of the biggest expenses for our group.

disney world bachelorette trip

I'm an annual passholder who spends $1,449 a year on a pass that allows for unlimited visits to Disney World throughout the year.

But the rest of our party had to purchase park passes — and this ended up being one of the biggest expenses. Although it would've been cheaper to purchase a single-park ticket, we also wanted to visit both Epcot and Magic Kingdom.

So, with our budget and plans to hop parks in mind, we chose to spend one day in the park. Each guest paid $241.

We also took advantage of the free things to do at Disney World.

disney world bachelorette trip

Since we only purchased one-day park tickets, we took advantage of activities at Disney World that are free , like resort hopping on the Monorail and visiting Disney Springs.

One of our favorite activities was taking the Monorail to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and exploring the tropical-themed hotel.

We splurged on drinking around the world at Epcot.

disney world bachelorette trip

We spent a large chunk of our budget on a popular Disney adult pastime: drinking around the World Showcase at Epcot.

We stopped to enjoy a drink at all 11 themed country pavilions, including La Cava del Tequila in Mexico and a sake bar in Japan.

We later saved some money by finding discounts at a nearby happy hour.

disney world bachelorette trip

It's not surprising that Disney is an expensive place to eat and drink at, but we did find a happy-hour deal at STK.

STK is one of my favorite steak-house chains and one is located within Disney Springs.

Deals included things like $10 martinis and discounted oysters.

We kept most of our meals casual and quick.

disney world bachelorette trip

Food can often be one of the biggest expenses when visiting Disney , so we kept most of our meals casual to stay within budget.

We mostly ate at quick-service locations and Epcot's Food and Wine Festival , where most plates were under $10 .

My favorite was a filling poutine topped with gravy and turkey that cost me $9.

But we did splurge on one formal dinner at my favorite Disney World restaurant.

disney world bachelorette trip

We splurged on a table-service meal at my favorite restaurant at Disney World , Wine Bar George.

Here, we enjoyed wine and shared several large plates, including a skirt steak that's one of my favorite dishes at Disney .

This meal was pricey — the family-style steak costs about $81 and serves two to four people — but worth the price.

Overall, we had a great weekend and kept it within our budget.

disney world bachelorette trip

Although Disney World is known for being pricey, we were able to keep our trip within budget by deciding which elements we wanted to splurge on and which we would keep as affordable as possible.

Keeping our park visit to just one day and enjoying free activities the rest of our weekend saved our group over a thousand dollars.

Our splurges, like drinking around the world and dining at Wine Bar George , were worth every penny for our group as those were our vacation priorities.

The budget-friendly accommodations were an especially pleasant surprise — and we loved enjoying its resort-like feel at a fraction of the cost of other Disney World hotels.

Walt Disney World Bachelorette Weekend

How to have an amazing Disney World Bachelorette Party

Anyone that knows me can tell you that I love all things, Disney. As a very girly little girl, I loved princesses. Dressing up as Cinderella for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom is possibly my favorite childhood memory. When my husband and I got engaged there was only one place I could imagine having my bachelorette party, Walt Disney World. Disney World makes a wonderful destination for a bachelorette weekend. There is an abundance of things to do, more restaurants than you can count and if you haven’t been since you’ve been a child, you might be surprised to know there is plenty of nightlife.

How to have an amazing Disney World Bachelorette Party

1. Go During “Off Season”

The timing of when you go can make or break your trip. If you have 6 or more ladies, trying to get fast passes, dinner reservations, and even accommodations will be a nightmare if you go during peak season. We went in early fall, but fall has now kind of become a second busy season with the Food & Wine Festival and Halloween parties, so I would recommend January or February. Avoid going during holiday weekends, race weekends, spring break, and summer if you can.

Planning a Walt Disney World Bachelorette Party

2. Stay Onsite

If you have a large group, you are going to want some room to spread out. An onsite resort villa will give you the option to have a kitchen, laundry, and more than one bathroom. This can be a huge life saver and you can split the cost. Also, having a kitchen allows you to cook breakfast, pack lunches or snacks, and have drinks without paying the price in the parks. If you have a very large group, 9 people or more, you will likely need to get more than one room or villa. There are few bigger villas on property, but they book up very quickly and come with a premium price tag.

Even if you need to split up into multiple rooms, I still suggest staying onsite. Staying onsite gives you free access to transportation which is a huge draw for me, especially with a large group! Some of the Deluxe resorts even have rooms that sleep 5, so if you have a group of 5 or 10 it may be worth it to stay Deluxe and trust me they are amazing if you plan the budget for it!

If you’re staying offsite you will need to find transportation and I highly suggest renting a car. However, then one person needs to be responsible for driving. If you don’t want that option you can split up and take taxis, Uber, and some resorts even offer shuttles to Disney.

Planning a Walt Disney World Bachelorette Party

3. Plan One or Two Park Days

This can help offset the cost of going to Disney, but you don’t want to pack too much if you are doing a weekend either. If you are planning for just a weekend visit, spend one night out at Disney Springs, one or two days in the parks and one pool/chill day. This way you get to spend a good time with your friends as well as going to Disney. Get park hoppers so you can visit more than one park or make the Magic Kingdom or Epcot your only park. The Magic Kingdom has the most rides, but at Epcot, you can eat and drink around the world. We ate at Disney Springs on Friday night, ate around the world on Saturday and cooked dinner in our villas Sunday. This gave us something different every day and plenty of time together. Our actual itinerary is at the bottom of this post!

If you want more park time, arrive early or stay late! I arrived in Florida earlier and stayed after everyone else left with my maid of honor and one other friend. We gave everyone the option on how many days they wanted to come so those that wanted to spend extra time at Disney and in parks could. The rest of the attendees arrived Friday and left late Sunday or first thing Monday morning. I am not saying you shouldn’t do 4-5 day or longer trip with multiple park days, if your group has the time and budget GO FOR IT!

4. Pack Bachelorette Party Swag

One of the fun parts of a bachelorette is getting to play dress up! At Disney, there are so many groups with matching shirts and many bachelorette parties join in the fun! There is no limit to the bachelorette swag you can find online or even make your own! My bridesmaids did an amazing job with the swag. Here is a list of the swag we had!

o Personalized Tanks o Team Bride Buttons o Temporary Tattoos o Photo Booth, with props o Personalized Tumblers o Drink Tutus o Bachelorette Sash o Bridal Mini Ears o Mini Tiaras

4. Decorate the Rooms

Even though you are at Disney, you can still decorate your villas or rooms a little for extra fun. My bridal party decorated our villa with a fun Team Bride theme and we even had a photo wall with props! It was so much fun taking photos before and after going to the parks. We also had team bride drinking cups, team bride straws, etc. for Sunday when we stayed at the villa. My bridesmaids saved all the decorations and brought them to decorate their hotel room at my wedding, which was the room I was going to get ready in.

Bachelorette Party Photo Booth

5. Emergency Kits, Water & Starbucks Will Save You

Give each attendee an emergency kit as a gift with things like pain medicine, band-aids, emergency supplies, Gatorade packets, water, etc. This will actually be more like necessities. Have a least one or two girls take in a bag or small drawstring backpack to have extra supplies during your time in the park, a water bottle or two & EXTRA CELL POWER CORDS. You can get free cups of the water at any quick service restaurant.

Learn where coffee can be purchased in your resort and inside the parks. Stop here first before going to any rides! This will help keep everyone happy early in the morning. Plus, the bride might get a special message from a Disney cast member written on her cup if they notice all the swag!

Planning a Walt Disney World Bachelorette Party

6. Book Restaurants In Advance

If you have ever gone to Disney, you likely already know that you need to book everything early. This is even more important if you have a large group. We went to Disney Springs on Friday night. Since it’s outside the parks, it can be easier to get reservations for large groups. It’s also great to walk around, shop, or try out different bars. If you are staying offsite, it is free to park at Disney Springs and easy to get a taxi to/from. Epcot restaurants also typically have availability and they are all amazing. I highly recommend eating in Italy or France. If you can’t get reservations, eat around the world!

Planning a Walt Disney World Bachelorette Party

7. Everyone Needs a Disney Account and App

This goes along with my last point, but the My Disney Experience App will allow you to view real-time wait times, dinner reservations, interactive park maps, park times and more. You can link each one of the people in your group to each other’s account. Assign one person to be in control all of the fast passes, reservations, etc. to make it easier on the group, but everyone else will want to have the app to refer too. The app drains phone power quickly, so you will want to have extra power cords. There are multiple places to charge your phone at Disney, near the Rapunzel bathroom in the Magic Kingdom happens to be my go-to.

Planning a Walt Disney World Bachelorette Party

8. Eating/Drinking Around The World

One of my favorite things to do at Disney World, especially during any of the Epcot festivals, is to eat and/or drink around the world. If you are park hopping go to Epcot last to start the night off! Even if you aren’t drinking, you can have a feast and an amazing time. Epcot is host to the World Showcase, which has a pavilion from eleven countries and during any of the Epcot festivals there is even more. This means you can try different food items and beverages from a host of different countries all in one day! If you plan to drink around the world, be careful. Don’t eat AND drink in EVERY location. Instead, pick a few and have fun. Here are some of my favorites by items country:

o Mexico – Tacos / Avocado Margarita (Margarita from La Cava del Tequila inside the ruin) o Norway – School Bread / Carlsberg o China – Pot Stickers / Plum Wine o Germany – Giant Pretzel / Warsteiner Dunkel o Italy – Cannoli / Bellini o The United States – Funnel Cake / one of the craft beers o Japan – Sushi / Sparkling Sake o Morocco – Baklava / Casa o France – Any of the Tartes / Grand Marnier Slush o United Kingdom – Fish & Chips / Black & Tan o Canada – Maple Popcorn / La Fin du Monde

disney-bachelorette-12

9. Plan For Transportation Time

It can take a lot longer than you think to get buses, shuttles, walking, waiting, traffic and even getting ready with a large group. Plan ahead and schedule in extra wait time. I would suggest you arrange for the early riser in your group to make sure everyone is awake and getting ready over an hour before you are supposed to be somewhere. The last thing you want during a bachelorette party is missing reservations.

Planning a Walt Disney World Bachelorette Party

10. Don’t Forget the Dueling Piano Bar

Disney has a hidden secret, well it’s really not a secret, but not enough people know about it. If you have ever stayed on the Disney Boardwalk you are probably well aware there are multiple restaurants, an ESPN Club and a wonderful Dueling Piano Bar, Jellyrolls within a short walk from the Epcot World Showcase gates. The piano bar can be hit or miss, but it’s always a good time on a Saturday night. Slightly overpriced and heavy poured drinks, this bar is your classic dueling piano bar that bachelor and bachelorette parties have always loved. The piano bar is the perfect spot to end a Saturday night during a bachelorette party, The musicians are sure to have your group singing along to your favorite songs at the tops of your lungs. Tip : If you stay until the last song, they may even take a photo with you on stage!

Our Bachelorette Party Weekend Itinerary

Friday After you get settled in your room, take a thousand pictures and get all dolled up, head to dinner in Disney Springs. Great restaurants many of which have live music and amazing  menus makes this a perfect first spot on a Bachelorette Weekend. After dinner, head to another bar like Wine Bar George or Hangar Bar or visit some shops, but make sure to get to bed semi-early for the park day!

Saturday This was our park day! Purchase Park Hopper tickets and start with a coffee at the Magic Kingdom. Head to either Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, and Peter Pan’s Flight first or grab a Lightening Lane. After your castle picture and possibly a few more rides head to Hollywood Studios for lunch, Slinky Dog Dash, Rockin’ Roller Coaster, Tower Of Tower and don’t forget to check out Galaxy’s Edge if you have time. The Frozen Sing-Along is also fun for a group of ladies! For your final park hop head to Epcot to eat and drink around the World Showcase and amazing fireworks. End the night on the Disney Boardwalk at the Dueling Piano Bar.

You can mix this up if you want to do Animal Kingdom or do two park days with two parks each day. I like a Magic Kingdom/Epcot Combo and Animal Kingdom/Hollywood Studios combo personally. If you do Animal Kingdom make sure to check out Kilimanjaro Safaris, Expedition Everest and Flight of Passage.

Sunday Sunday morning, you will likely be tired. Head to the pool after a large delicious brunch. There are tons of brunch options at the Disney resorts or around Orlando. On Disney property, I recommend the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast a character breakfast at Trattoria Al Forno at Disney’s BoardWalk. It is so sweet for the bride to be to get some marriage advice from Rapunzel and Flynn Rider or Ariel and Price Eric and fun for the entire group. After brunch, relax at the pool or resort, make or eat dinner at your resort and play bachelorette party games in your room as you reminisce about the fun weekend you’ve had!

Disney rolls out new lineup of programming at 2024 upfront.

OTRC logo

Disney rolled out its upcoming lineup of programming in a spring tradition in the TV business that's known as the upfronts.

Part presentation and part celebration, ABC and Disney stars joined the company's top executives at the Javits Center in New York City to promote their shows to the nation's advertisers.

"The upfront is a week, a year where companies come in and they show to our advertisers all of the new content that's coming, either renewed or brand new," said Rita Ferro, Disney's President of Global Advertising.

She adds that the content "is like magic" and "a treasure trove of everything, everyone and everywhere."

Ferro also talked about what she hopes the headlines will be after the upfront.

"Our one hope as a company is that regardless of what you're going to see next week, there is no presentation or stayed more creative and more anchored in world class storytelling and incredible brands that move the hearts and minds of consumers and the Walt Disney Company," Ferro said. "That is what we're known for. At the end of the day, all the content is great, but there's very few companies that can make you feel and have an emotional connection here, like Disney does."

At the upfront, several trailers were debuted for new series for Hulu and Disney+ including "Agatha All Along," High Potential," "Ironheart," "Daredevil: Born Again," "The Acolyte" and more.

Here's a look at some of the big announcements coming out of the Disney Advertising Upfront:

Joan Vassos named 1st-ever Golden Bachelorette

After her time was cut short on the inaugural season of "The Golden Bachelor," Joan Vassos, the 61-year-old grandmother and school administrator from Rockland, Maryland, will begin her own journey for new love this fall when she steps into the historic role as the first Golden Bachelorette.

The fan favorite will bring her signature grace and charm as she embarks on a search for her next person, showcasing that everyone is worthy of more than just a second chance at love, when "The Golden Bachelorette" premieres Wednesdays this fall on ABC and streams next day on Hulu.

Super Bowl champion Jason Kelce joins ESPN

ESPN has signed Jason Kelce to a multi-year agreement , adding the vibrant personality as an analyst on the company's marquee programming around premier NFL telecasts.

The 13-year NFL veteran joins "Monday Night Countdown" each week, leading into Monday Night Football throughout the regular season and ESPN's Super Wild Card and Divisional Round playoff games.

The six-time NFL All-Pro will also become a member of ESPN's Super Bowl studio coverage each year, including Super Bowl LXI in Los Angeles (February, 2027) when America's Biggest Game airs on ESPN and ABC. Additional postseason studio appearances will occur annually, including during the NFL's Conference Championship weekend.

Selena Gomez announces 'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place'

The official title of the new series, which is a continuation of "Wizards of Waverly Place," was announced by Selena Gomez at the upfront. The singer and actress serves as the new series' executive producer and guest star.

Gomez and David Henrie are reprising their roles as Alex and Justin Russo. The show also stars Janice LeAnn Brown, Mimi Gianopulos, Alkaio Thiele, Max Matenko and Taylor Cora.

The series follows an adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family, Giada, Roman and Milo. When Justin's sister Alex brings Billie to his home seeking help, Justin realizes he must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities - and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World.

The series is slated to premiere on Disney Channel and Disney+ later this year.

Bruce Springsteen documentary coming to Hulu, Disney+

Hulu and Disney+ announced that they will launch "Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band" in October of this year.

The new documentary will feature unprecedented, behind-the-scenes access to their 2023-2024 world tour.

The film begins with a one-of-a-kind look at the band's preparation process, following them from their earliest rehearsals in Red Bank, New Jersey, to performances for tens-of-thousands across continents.

All the while, fans get the chance to experience professionally shot footage from the 2023-2024 tour for the first time ever - in addition to hearing firsthand from band members about performing on stage with Springsteen and how they keep the magic of The E Street Band as potent as ever.

The film was directed by Springsteen's longtime collaborator Thom Zimny and produced by Zimny, Jon Landau, Bruce Springsteen, Adrienne Gerard and Sean Stuart.

Hulu announces new stand-up comedy brand 'Hulu's Laughing Now'

Comedian Jim Gaffigan announced the launch of Hulu's comedy stand-up brand, "Hulu's Laughing Now," from the upfront stage on Tuesday.

Gaffigan will be the first comedian to host a stand-up special as part of the new brand, with his special "The Skinny" launching on the platform Nov. 22.

"Hulu's Laughing Now" will feature 12 comedy specials per year, adding one new comic per month.

Serena Williams to host 2024 ESPYS on ABC

Calling it a "dream come true," tennis legend Serena Williams will host The 2024 ESPYS on July 11 at 8 p.m.

Williams' turn as host of The ESPYS will immediately follow the July 10 premiere of the first episode of the ESPN+ Original Series, "In the Arena: Serena Williams." This 8-part series provides an inside look at her legendary career, featuring firsthand perspective from Williams and key figures throughout her life.

The Golden Bachelorette Names The Golden Bachelor 's Joan Vassos as Lead

ABC revealed the new lead at the Disney Upfronts presentation in N.Y.C. on Tuesday, May 14

ABC/Ricky Middlesworth

Joan Vassos will be staying golden.

ABC announced at the 2024 Disney Upfronts at the Javits Center in New York City on Tuesday, May 14, that Vassos, 61, will take the lead as the first Golden Bachelorette this fall after appearing on the first season of The Golden Bachelor .

Despite being a frontrunner for Gerry Turner 's heart, the school administrator bowed out during Week 3 to be with her daughter after she gave birth. Vassos planned to return to the show if her daughter was doing better, but "it wasn’t in the cards,” she told TheWrap .

Vassos welcomed four children with her husband of 32 years John, who died in January 2021 from pancreatic cancer.

"He was the husband that always made me feel safe and cherished," she wrote on Instagram in January . "He was the parent that was always the fun one because that's all he knew how to do...lucky kids because fun in his book was generally epic. I could go on for hours."

The decision to do a female-led version of the senior dating show came after The Golden Bachelor ranked as the No. 1 new unscripted series in its season among adults ages 18-49 according to ABC. The show also marked ABC’s No. 1 unscripted series premiere ever on Hulu.

ABC also revealed on May 14 that The Golden Bachelorette will run for an hour and a half on Wednesdays this fall, up from The Golden Bachelor 's one-hour episodes last year. The Golden Bachelorette will air at 8 p.m. ET before Abbott Elementary .

Golden Bachelor contestant Susan Noles told PhillyVoice that ABC “had to” do The Golden Bachelorette because of The Golden Bachelor ’s success.

“There was a lot of positive. Even young people watch this show, not just people my age,” the Philadelphia native, 67, said. “And men; more men watch the show than ever. I can't go anywhere without taking selfies with people. It's just crazy. I'm so impressed by the people and what they know about the show and about my personality. It's really awesome.”

ABC/Craig Sjodin

The Golden Bachelor featured 22 women all over the age of 60 looking for love with Turner, 72. In the end, the retired restaurateur proposed to Theresa Nist and they got married in a live, televised wedding special on Jan. 4. But the couple called it quits three months later because they couldn’t agree on where to live . Turner filed for divorce on April 12, but Bachelor Nation doesn’t want his and 70-year-old Nist’s breakup to reflect negatively on the franchise. “It'll be fun to watch love unfold from a woman's perspective ,” The Golden Bachelor 's Kathy Swarts told PEOPLE.

Jesse Grant/Getty

She also joked about dating the men who don’t find love with the Golden Bachelorette. “I want all the rejects,” Swarts, 70, said. “I'm willing to take sloppy seconds.”

While Turner and Nist claimed to split amicably, his runner-up Leslie Fhima  felt blindsided by their breakup on the show.

“I was 100% certain that I was his girl,” Fhima, 65, told host Jesse Palmer during After the Final Rose on Nov. 30. “And things he said to me on our overnight and meeting his family, I mean, they didn’t show everything, but we had such a good time.”

Disney/John Fleenor

But Fhima put aside her heartbreak in order to attend Turner and Nist’s wedding .

“It was a little uncomfortable during the ceremony when they were talking about Costa Rica, because I was there too,” Fhima admitted on the   Almost Famous podcast, referring to where she and Nist had their Fantasy Suite dates with Turner.

Still, Fhima wanted to be supportive of Nist. “It was probably the only time it was really uncomfortable for me and seeing Theresa so happy really, kind of, just took that away anyhow,” the fitness instructor said.

Many of the women from The Golden Bachelor have remained friends beyond filming, with Noles and Swarts hosting former contestants such as Vassos, Ellen Goltzer and Nancy Hulkower on their   Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour   podcast. Hulkower, 61, Noles, Swarts even took a group trip to St. Martin together earlier this year.

“We became very, very important in each other's lives,” Noles told PEOPLE . “And we're here to celebrate life.”

ABC names Joan Vassos as first ‘Golden Bachelorette’

Ever since “ The Golden Bachelor ” became a pop culture sensation last fall, fans have been clamoring for a “Golden Bachelorette.”

They’ve finally got one. On Tuesday, ABC announced that Joan Vassos, a widow and school administrator who chose to leave “The Golden Bachelor” early because of a family emergency, would be the first “Golden Bachelorette.”

The latest spin-off of the long-running dating reality show will air this fall at 8 p.m. Wednesdays, before the hit sitcom “Abbott Elementary.”

The news was announced by Ryan Seacrest at the Disney Upfront presentation in New York, where the 61-year-old grandmother from Maryland waved from the audience.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Golden Bachelor (@goldenbachabc)

Vassos appeared to be an early front-runner on “The Golden Bachelor,” connecting with star Gerry Turner, a widower, about the grief she experienced after her husband died of cancer. But she opted to leave the show during Week 3 in order to help her daughter, who she said was dealing with postpartum depression after the birth of her baby.

In February, ABC formally announced plans for a “Golden Bachelorette” spin-off. Since then, speculation about who would be cast centered on several fan favorites from Season 1, including Vassos as well as finalists Leslie Fhima and Faith Martin.

Gerry Turned and Leslie Fhima in the final episode of "The Golden Bachelor."

‘The Golden Bachelor’ appeared to be gentler reality TV. Then came the devastating finale

Gerry Turner may have been too good to be true, and Leslie Fhima’s reaction to their breakup and reunion on the finale of “The Golden Bachelor” was a refreshing sight on reality TV.

Dec. 1, 2023

But the news comes at a delicate moment for ABC’s “Golden” franchise: Last month, Turner and Theresa Nist announced they were divorcing after a mere three months of marriage, turning a reality TV success story into a grim cautionary tale .

“The Golden Bachelor” became a feel-good hit last fall, in large part due to Turner, who was portrayed as a grieving widower, devoted family man and successful restaurateur.

The spin-off, in which Turner dated 22 vivacious women over age 60, delivered the highest ratings of any “Bachelor” show in several years and helped to revitalize an aging, scandal-ridden franchise — ironically, by casting older people who spoke openly about love, loss and romantic heartbreak.

But Turner’s too-good-to-be-true image began to crack with publication of a report in The Hollywood Reporter in November that portrayed him as something of a cad whose professional credentials had been inflated by “The Golden Bachelor.” The brutal finale , which left Fhima seemingly blindsided, also did little to help Turner’s reputation.

Commentary: ‘The Golden Bachelor’ divorce turns a TV success story into a cautionary tale

The split between Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist marks an abrupt reversal of fortune for “The Golden Bachelor,” a breakout hit show that was supposed to revive “The Bachelor” franchise.

April 16, 2024

Despite the PR foibles, Turner and Nist pressed on and married in a live, televised special, “The Golden Wedding,” on ABC in January. The special was stuffed with product placement and appearances by personalities from across the “Bachelor” universe.

However, in April, Nist and Turner appeared on “Good Morning America” to announce the end of their marriage, citing an inability to agree on where to live. (Nist lives in New Jersey, Turner in Indiana.) Their short-lived union marked a bitter final twist in what had once seemed like a heartwarming tale of two widowed grandparents finding new love in their twilight years.

It remains to be seen if viewers who fell for “The Golden Bachelor” will tune into “The Golden Bachelorette.” But perhaps ABC is banking that Vassos, who was untouched by the Season 1 drama, will help viewers forget about the failed Turner-Nist union.

‘The Secret Is Out’: Joan Vassos Is the First ‘Golden Bachelorette’

ABC introduced a new season of the spinoff, after the ratings success of “The Golden Bachelor.”

a blonde woman in a glamourish shot, all in gold, she is wearing a strapless dress holding a gold rose.

By Callie Holtermann

It has only been a month since the storybook ending of “The Golden Bachelor,” ABC’s buzzy spinoff of “The Bachelor,” featuring cast members 60 and up, got a divorce-announcement epilogue .

But ABC is giving the dating franchise another chance at love.

Joan Vassos will be the first “Golden Bachelorette” in a new season of the reality dating show this fall. The announcement was made on Tuesday by Ryan Seacrest at ABC’s upfront, a showcase where a broadcaster presents its lineup to advertisers.

Ms. Vassos, a 61-year-old school administrator from Rockland, Md., was a contestant on the inaugural season of “The Golden Bachelor” last year. A mother of four and grandmother of two, Ms. Vassos earned the affection of the series lead, Gerry Turner, after writing him a poem titled “I Just Hope I Don’t Vomit on Your Shoes.”

Ms. Vassos and Mr. Turner also bonded over the grief each had experienced after the death of a spouse. She chose to leave the show during its third week because her daughter was experiencing health problems soon after giving birth.

In her brief time on the show, Ms. Vassos was the contestant who perhaps best articulated ABC’s stated intention for the spinoff : to put a long-overdue spotlight on older Americans.

“My heart maybe got a little fixed from Gerry,” Ms. Vassos said as she left the Bachelor Mansion. “As you get older, you become more invisible. People don’t see you anymore. Like you’re not as significant as when you’re young.”

Ms. Vassos and the other 21 women on the “Golden Bachelor” dated Mr. Turner, 72, an affable widower from Indiana whose squeaky-clean romantic history was later called into question by an article in The Hollywood Reporter . (He said he had given the article only “ a cursory look .”)

After a season of flash mobs, wedding dress fittings and more serious conversations about grief and loss , Mr. Turner proposed to Theresa Nist, a 70-year-old financial services professional from New Jersey.

Mr. Turner and Ms. Nist married in January in a Southern California ceremony picturesque enough to be televised live. ( And it was .) Just three months later, they announced that they would divorce, during an appearance on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” citing their commitments to their families.

Despite the messy aftermath, the show’s first season drew strong ratings for the franchise. It also attracted a fresh round of press and social media attention to a series that some viewers felt had grown stale after more than two decades on air.

Fans of the show celebrated the “Golden Bachelorette” announcement on social media, although some expressed surprise that Leslie Fhima, a runner-up on “The Golden Bachelor” and a fan favorite, had not been cast in Ms. Vassos’ place.

After the announcement, Ms. Vassos posted a promotional video for the upcoming season on Instagram. “The secret is out!” she wrote, adding that she was “honored” to be the first female lead of the spinoff.

The National Labor Relations Board announced the results of the vote on Saturday, May 18 following a four-day union election at Disneyland by character and parade performers.

Disneyland’s 1,700 character and parade performers — calling themselves Magic United — will be unionized under the Actors’ Equity Association.

“The votes are in,” according to the Equity website. “The cast members of Magic United have unionized with Actors’ Equity Association.”

The vote was 953 Yes votes to 258 No votes with 78.7% of the votes cast in favor of unionizing, according to Equity.

“While voting is complete, there are still steps in the process prior to the election being certified, so it is premature for the company to comment on the results,” Disneyland Resort spokesperson Jessica Good said in a statement. “Whatever the outcome, we respect that our cast members had the opportunity to have their voices heard.”

Equity has been circulating a list of key issues facing nonunion Disneyland characters and parade performers that include pay, annual raises, safety, costumes, scheduling, seniority and job security.

Disney princesses, Marvel superheroes and other character performers who work at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure make $24.15 per hour and an additional $4.75 per hour if they perform onstage, according to the Disney Auditions website.

Nonunion hourly employees like Disneyland characters and parade performers have received annual raises for as long as company records show, according to Disneyland officials.

While most of Disneyland’s 35,000 employees are represented by 26 unions, the park’s 1,100 character performers and 600 parade performers and support staff had not been unionized until now.

California’s minimum wage increased to $16 an hour in 2024 with the hourly rate set to rise to $18 in 2025. After a lengthy court fight, Anaheim’s Measure L boosted Disneyland’s minimum wage to nearly $20 an hour.
