Celebrity cruise liner with casino, nightclub and swimming pools to arrive in Liverpool

A luxury cruise liner with its own casino, nightclub and swimming pools is set to arrive in Liverpool.

The Celebrity Silhouette will arrive in the city on Saturday, May 18, as part of its journey from the Netherlands. Spread out over eight decks, the ship boasts of 1,451 staterooms including a number of different suites with their own private verandas.

The cruise ship, operated by Celebrity Cruises , started its journey from Rotterdam in the Netherlands on May 13, before travelling to Dover, followed by Waterford and Cork in Ireland. It will be docked in Liverpool from 9-5pm on Saturday, May 18, before making its way to Scotland. The ship's final destination will be back in the Netherlands in Amsterdam on Friday, May 24.

Holidaymakers are spoilt for choice when it comes to how to spend their time on board, from a dip in the pool to a trip to the theatre or a night at the Quasar nightclub. Those looking to relax can head to the adults-only onboard spa and Persian Garden.

The Solarium also offers an adults-only space with a pool, hot tub and waterfalls. There's also a number of onboard shops, an art gallery, fitness centre and a hair salon.

Guests can head to a selection of different bars, from the Craft Social Bar to the Sunset Bar, Spa Café and the Sky Observation Lounge. The onboard restaurants include everything from sushi to French and Italian dishes and a steakhouse.

Blu is an exclusive onboard restaurant for those staying in the AquaClass suites. The Retreat also promises an "exclusive experience" with its own sundeck, lounge and award-winning Luminae private restaurant.
