The album kicks off with opening track “The River is Rising” —which reached #7 on the Rock Charts , making it the band’s 8 t h , consecutive Top 10 hit single at radio —is one of the band’s toughest and most dynamic compositions to date, unraveling via a menacing, tightly-coiled riff and deep-in-the-pocket groove. “April Fool” followed the successful first single “The River Is Rising” . Myles Kennedy announces six-date UK tour with Devin Townsend

Taking place in November and December 2024

Alter Bridge and Slash vocalist and esteemed solo artist, Myles Kennedy , has announced his first headline tour in three years.

The Return To The Kingdom Tour opens at Glasgow SWG3 Galvanizers on Monday 25th November 2024 and visits Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham and Cardiff before culminating at London O2 Forum Kentish Town on Tuesday 3rd December 2024.

Myles Kennedy’s support act at all six dates is Devin Townsend, who will treat audiences to an acoustic set. Myles’ band will consist of drummer Zia Uddin and bassist/manager Tim Tournier.

Tickets to Myles Kennedy’s tour go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets at 10am on Friday 3rd May 2024.

Myles Kennedy toured the UK this spring with Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, and he last played on visited shores with Alter Bridge last summer.

Myles is current hard at work on this third solo album, and a new song or two might make the setlist on the winter 2024 jaunt.

Rock bands going on tour in 2024 and 2025:, robert plant's saving grace.

After Led Zeppelin legend Robert Plant completed a 15-date UK tour in March 2024, with his band Saving Grace, dates continued in April and May, as Robert Plant presents Saving Grace played locations such as Harrogate, Stockton and Warwick. On top of that, the band will now be heading to Southend and Woking in July. Buy tickets here

The Rolling Stones

Another tour happening in 2024 is from legendary rock band The Rolling Stones , however no UK dates have been announced yet. In October 2023, guitarist Keith Richards confirmed that the band were planning to hit the road in 2024 in support of 'Hackney Diamonds' - their first album of original material in 18 years. Then, in November 2023, the band further teased 2024 tour dates as they shared a link calling fans to sign up to their mailing list, for upcoming news and announcements. After fans noticed their iconic red tongue and lips logo then appearing outside locations in North America, it was confirmed that The Rolling Stones are set to play 15 stadium shows , and one festival, on a colossal tour across the United States and Canada from April-July 2024.

Toby Jepson

Wayward Sons frontman and Planet Rock presenter Toby Jepson will be embarking on an 18-date solo acoustic UK tour in May and June 2024. Entitled 'My Life In Words – Live Acoustic! From Little Angels to Wayward Sons', the sizeable tour began in Crumlin on 10th May 2024, continuing up until 25th June. Buy tickets here

Rammstein will be heading on an 18-date European stadium tour throughout Summer 2024. Dates began in Prague Airport Letnany on Saturday 11th May, and after touring through 12 European countries over three months, the shows will conclude with two concerts at Gelsenkirchen Veltins Arena - in Rammstein's native Germany - on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th July 2024. At the moment, there are no UK dates on Rammstein's touring itinerary.

May 2024 saw the start of ' The Classic Tales of YES UK Tour '. Progressive rock legends YES will be embarking on a nine-dates trek this May and June, including new concerts at London's Royal Albert Hall and the Bristol Beacon, together with seven dates rescheduled from the YES' postponed 2023 Relayer UK tour.

'Hotel California' legend Eagles will be carrying out a UK residency in May and June 2024 - joined by Steely Dan at all dates. The residency will take place in Manchester, as part of their multi-year swansong tour The Long Goodbye . The Eagles will play the UK's largest indoor arena - Manchester's new 23,500 capacity Co-op Live venue - on Friday 31st May, Saturday 1st June and Tuesday 4th June 2024. Five Finger Death Punch

Five Finger Death Punch will embark on their UK/European tour of headline dates, including a show at London's OVO Arena Wembley, starting on 23rd May 2024. Dates are set to continue through to 14th July.

New York City rockers Winger have announced details of their final UK concert . After touring the UK with Steel Panther last year, Winger will play their last-ever show on these shores at London Islington Assembly Hall on Friday 7th June 2024. Get tickets here.

Although it's not quite a UK tour, German rock legends Scorpions will be playing their first UK concert in five years in 2024. Taking place at London OVO Arena Wembley on Saturday 8th June 2024, Rudolf Schenker, Klaus Meine, Matthias Jabs, Pawel Maciwoda and Mikkey Dee will perform their only UK concert, as part of the 'Love at First Sting Tour', celebrating the 40th anniversary of Scorpions' ninth studio album of the same name. Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets

Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets will celebrate the early music of Pink Floyd on a headline UK tour in June 2024 . Nick Mason, Gary Kemp, Guy Pratt, Lee Harris and Dom Beken will play 14 headline shows opening at Stoke Victoria Hall on Tuesday 11th June and wrapping up at London Royal Albert Hall on Saturday 29th June. Mr. Bungle will play two headline shows ahead of their appearance at Download Festival this summer, serving as their first headline UK shows in 24 years. The epic shows will take place at London O2 Forum Kentish Town on Wednesday 12th June and Manchester O2 Ritz on Thursday 13th June. Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters began promoting their 11th studio album 'But Here We Are' in May 2023, while also revealing that UK concerts were on the horizon . The news was then confirmed as they announced their highly anticipated UK tour will take place in 2024 . Dates for the shows take place from Thursday 13th June - Thursday 27th, with the tour being the band's first in the UK since the untimely death of drummer Taylor Hawkins , which led to them cancelling UK stadium tour in June and July 2022 . Foo Fighters made their live return in May 2023, with Josh Freese recruited as their new drummer . Foo Fighters will play in Manchester, Glasgow, London, Cardiff and Birmingham. Troy Redfern

British slide guitar virtuoso Troy Redfern has lined up an 11-date headline UK tour for June 2024, titled the 'Troy Redfern "Invocation" Headline UK Tour'. The tour will open in Frome on Monday 17th June 2024, travelling through Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Chester, Birmingham, Guildford, Cambridge, Southampton and London before concluding in Tunbridge Wells on Tuesday 27th June. Keanu Reeves' rock band Dogstar will play their first UK shows in 25 years this summer, heading to the UK to play two shows in June 2024 . As part of a larger European tour, Dogstar will play headline shows at Manchester New Century Hall on Tuesday 18th June and London Electric Ballroom on Wednesday 19th June. Marking a quarter of a century since performing on these shores, the band's last UK performance was at Glastonbury Festival on 27th June 1999. Buy tickets here

In 2024 'American Idiot' legends Green Day will be bringing their tour to the UK & Europe . 'The Savior Tour' will follow the release of their 14th studio album of the same name, which will be released on Friday 19th January 2024. Tour dates start in Manchester on Friday 21st June 2024, and also include their appearance at the Isle Of Wight Festival. The same day they premiered the title track from their 12th studio album 'Dark Matter' , Pearl Jam announced shows in England and Ireland for as part of their tour in summer 2024. The Seattle rock heroes will perform at Dublin Marlay Park on Saturday 22nd June, Manchester's brand new venue Co-op Live on Tuesday 25th June, and London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 29th June.

Following reports that AC/DC were 'looking at 2024 tour dates' to coincide with their 50th anniversary, it was confirmed that AC/DC will perform two colossal concerts at London's Wembley Stadium for this summer. As part of 'The Power Up Tour', named after the band's chart-topping 2020 album 'PWR UP', the shows will take place on Wednesday 3rd and Sunday 7th July 2024. The two Wembley shows will mark the first time AC/DC have performed in the UK in more than eight years. Mammoth WVH

Mammoth WVH will return to the UK in July for their first headlining shows - after their stint opening for Slash with Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, and playing shows with legendary names such as Metallica, Alter Bridge and Sevendust, Def Leppard and Motley Crüe, and Nita Strauss. Fleetwood Mac icon Stevie Nicks will headline American Express presents BST Hyde Park this summer. Stevie will top the bill at the London festival on Friday 12th July 2024. Shortly after her headline spot was announced, it was then revealed that the legend will be performing two more arena shows in the UK this summer, taking place at Glasgow's OVO Hydro on Saturday 6th July and Manchester's Co-op Live on Tuesday 9th July. The Commoners

Taking place alongside their festival performances at Steelhouse and Maid of Stone, Canadian rockers The Commoners will play a string of headline shows throughout the UK. The trek of seven headline shows will open at London's The Grace on Friday 19th July 2024, and visit Milton Keynes, Wolverhampton, Newbury, Manchester, Edinburgh and Leeds on 27th July. Scottish-American rockers Garbage have announced their first headline UK tour in five years. Following their previously confirmed show at Glasgow's TRNSMT Festival in July 2024, Garbage will play their own headline concerts in Edinburgh, Bridlington, Wolverhampton and Manchester before concluding with a gargantuan gig at London Wembley OVO Arena on Saturday 20th July. Alt-metal pioneers KoRn will return to London in August 2024 to perform for the first time in seven years. In what will be their biggest UK headline show to date, the band will perform at London's Gunnersbury Park on Sunday 11th August.

Sex Pistols and Frank Carter

Punk legends the Sex Pistols - minus John Lydon - will be reuniting and joining forces with punk vocalist Frank Carter, for two very special concerts this summer on 13th and 14th August 2024. The shows will raise vital funds for historic West London venue, Bush Hall, where both 400-capacity gigs will take place.

The Karma Effect

The Karma Effect have announced a 13-date headline UK tour in association with Planet Rock. The 'Promised Land' tour will open at Newcastle's Zerox on Wednesday 4th September, and after visiting Glasgow, Guildford, Frome, Cardiff, Milton Keynes, Norwich, Huddersfield, Nottingham, Plymouth, Tunbridge Wells and London, will finish at Manchester's Factory 251 on Friday 27th September. Blackberry Smoke

In September 2024 Blackberry Smoke will be coming to the UK for a five-date headline tour. The band will kick off their tour at Glasgow O2 Academy on Monday 9th September 2024, before going on to play Edinburgh O2 Academy, Manchester O2 Apollo, Birmingham O2 Academy, and finally London Eventim Apollo on Saturday 14th. Following Finnish symphonic metallers Apocalyptica recruiting Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo for a track on their tenth studio album 'Plays Metallica Vol. 2', the band also announced 2024 UK tour dates. Apocalyptica will perform Metallica classics on tour throughout September and October 2024, with dates starting in Manchester on Sunday 29th September. Canadian blues-infused roots rockers Bywater Call have announced a headline UK tour for October 2024. The Toronto septet open their tour in Manchester on 16th October before concluding at Newbury Arlington Arts on 26th October.

Newport reggae metallers Skindred will embark on their headline 'Smile (Again) UK Tour' in October and November 2024. The band will play a total on nine shows in England and Scotland, opening at Hull University on Friday 18th October, and visiting Glasgow, Sunderland, Holmfirth, Liverpool, Leicester, Portsmouth and Bexhill before culminating at Oxford O2 Academy on Saturday 2nd November. November and December 2024 will see Orange County rockers Robert Jon & The Wreck head on a 10-date UK tour , following the June release of their new studio album 'Red Moon Rising'. Opening at The Appleyard in Sittingbourne on Wednesday 20th November 2024, the band will then visit Brighton, Bath, Southampton, Newcastle, Glasgow, Cambridge, London and Oxford before culminating at Nottingham Rock City on Sunday 1st December. Anthrax, Kreator and Testament

Anthrax and Kreator are joining forces for a co-headline UK and Ireland tour this coming autumn, joined by their fellow thrash veterans Testament. Iowan masked metallers Slipknot have will head on their headline UK arena tour in December 2024. The tour will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their seminal debut album 'Slipknot', with dates beginning in Leeds on 14th December 2024, continuing in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and London on 20th December. Legendary Heart vocalist Ann Wilson announced an album with her band Tripsitter, 'Another Door', in September 2023, and in a statement issued to Planet Rock said: 'UK tour dates will be announced in 2024' in support of 'Another Door'. Dates are yet to be announced. In July 2024, the singer was set to tour with Heart , however this was cancelled due to Ann needing to undergo an operation and have six weeks' recovery time.

Brothers Osborne

Country rock duo Brothers Osborne will be coming to the UK & Ireland in January 2025, bringing us nine dates as part of their 'Might As Well Be Us World Tour'. John and TJ Osborne will play shows in Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol and London early next year, from Friday 17th - Thursday 30th January, with support coming from Tyler Braden. Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium - 2025

Welsh metal titans Bullet For My Valentine and Orlando metal heroes Trivium are joining forces for a co-headline UK arena tour in early 2025. The 'Poisoned Ascendancy UK Tour' opens in Cardiff on Sunday 26th January, visiting Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham before concluding at London the O2 on Saturday 1st February.

Fish - 2025

Fish is performing UK dates for his farewell 'Road to the Isles Tour' , which starts in Europe in 2024. The 15-date UK leg opens with a hometown show at Haddington Corn Exchange on Tuesday 18th February 2025 and wraps up at Glasgow O2 Academy on Monday 10th March 2025 – serving as Fish's last ever live performance. Slash's River Is Rising tour will resume nearly two years after it first started

Slash  feat. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators have announced a run of international dates for 2024. The tour – dubbed the River Is Rising Rest of the World Tour ’24 – kicks off at the Pepsi Center WTC in Mexico City on January 28, and is followed by nine shows in South America.

SMKC then fly across the Pacific for a trio of Japanese dates, before heading to Europe for 19  shows. The first takes place at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, on March 28, and it all wraps up on April 29 at the Zenith in Paris, France. Support at the European shows comes from Wolfgang Van Halen 's Mammoth WVH.  

The first leg of the River Is Rising tour comprised of 28 North American shows played in February and March 2022, after the release of SMKC's fourth album, 4 , and before Guns N' Roses resumed their own European schedule. 

"It’s something that you just figure out," Slash told Classic Rock in 2022 . "Doing a Guns tour, the focus is all on Guns N’ Roses. And as soon as that’s over, I switch gears and go into preparing for whatever the Conspirators are doing. So by force of necessity, you have to be able to juggle all of that."

MYLES KENNEDY  has announced a headlining UK tour!

Set for November and December this year, the tour will see the  ALTER BRIDGE  frontman touring across the UK under his solo venture, still in support of 2021’s  The Ides Of March .

Support for the tour comes  DEVIN TOWNSEND , who will perform a special acoustic performance. Tickets for the tour will be available from Friday, May 3rd and can be purchased here .

Myles Kennedy has announced a winter UK tour.

The singer-songwriter will be accompanied by drummer Zia Uddin and bassist Tim Tournier for concerts in Glasgow, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Cardiff and London between November 25 and December 3.

Support on the Return To The Kingdom Tour will come from Devin Townsend, who will perform acoustic sets. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (May 3).

The Alter Bridge frontman recently wrapped up a run of dates with Slash and The Conspirators, and is currently working on the follow-up to his 2021 sophomore solo album, 'The Ides Of March'.

Alter Bridge, meanwhile, released their latest album, 'Pawns & Kings', in 2022.

Home » Myles Kennedy announces UK winter tour 2024

The 6-date tour includes dates in Manchester, Birmingham, and London among others.

As he puts it in a short trailer for the tour: “What will I do? I just wrapped up a tour with Slash and the Conspirators, wrapped up an album cycle with Alter Bridge, now I’m bored.”

“What should I do? Where should I go? What’s next? I think it’s time to get back out there and play some rock n roll”, and that he will.

He’ll make stops at Glasgow SWG3 Galvanizers, Manchester Academy, Rock City Nottingham, Birmingham Academy, and Cardiff’s Great Hall, all culminating with a show at London’s Kentish Forum.

Kennedy is joined onstage by drummer Zia Uddin and bassist/manager Tim Tournier, with support coming from the legendary Devin Townsend.

As for what fans can expect on the tour, it’s been said the Manchester date will be particularly memorable, as it’s been marked as a “birthday extravaganza” (the singer turns 55 in November).

It’s also been said that Kennedy has been hard at work on his third studio album, the follow up to 2021’s ‘The Ides of March’, with the tour announcement teasing audiences that “perhaps [you] will even be treated to a new song or two…”

Acclaimed singer/songwriter Dermot Kennedy has announced his biggest ever tour, including a headline show at The O2 on Friday 14 April 2023.

The tour announcement coincides with Dermot releasing his latest single ‘Innocence and Sadness’, a song taken from his upcoming second album ‘SONDER’ out on 4 November. ‘Innocence and Sadness’, a beautiful piano ballad that’s as quiet and delicate as it is huge and powerful, is a perfect uplifting slice of the upcoming record, hitting you straight in the gut and leaving the listener reeling like only Dermot can.

On the track, Dermot commented; “It’s impossible for me to express how much this song means to me. I wrote this song on the piano in my parents’ house. “Innocence and sadness in the same night” means I cling to my childlike sense of wonder while learning how to face all the challenges of life. All in search of steady rhythm joy. Reliable and true joy.” 

Dermot recently released the fantastic single ‘Kiss Me’; co-written by Dermot, Dan Smith (Bastille), KOZ (Kendrick Lamar, Dua Lipa) and Steve Mac (Pink, Ed Sheeran), ‘Kiss Me’ is pop perfection, marrying poignant lyrics about love’s intensity with an infectious, hook-laden melody that immediately draws the listener in.

The forthcoming new album is an exciting new chapter for the global star. Sonder is summarised as “the realisation that each random passer-by is living a life as vivid and complex as your own,” a term that has resonated deeply with Kennedy. Dermot Kennedy has also announced the dates for his 2023 UK and European tour.

The Dublin singer-songwriter’s tour which will kick off on March 31 in Glasgow, before wrapping things up at The O2 in London on April 14.

Along the way Dermot will make stops in cities including Aberdeen, Manchester, Birmingham and more, as well as playing shows across Europe.

He also recently shared his latest single , “Innocence and Sadness”: a powerful, piano-led offering that will feature on his second studio album, Sonder – due for release on November 4 . The release of the track has also been accompanied by an acoustic performance shot live from Mission Sound Studios in Brooklyn, New York.

“It’s impossible for me to express how much this song means to me,” Dermot said of the single. “I wrote this song on the piano in my parents’ house. ‘Innocence and sadness in the same night’ means I cling to my childlike sense of wonder while learning how to face all the challenges of life. All in search of steady rhythm joy. Reliable and true joy.”

The tour will support Kennedy’s aforementioned Sonder LP, which will feature the already released tracks “Kiss Me”, “Better Days” and “Dreamer”. The album follows on from his 2019 debut, Without Fear .

Since then Dermot has earned himself a BRIT Awards nomination for Male Artist of the Year in 2020 and towards the end of last year, he raised over $300,000 with charitable performances in Dublin and New York.

Life and death. Joy and pain. Love and loss. Dermot Kennedy has always been fascinated by extremes. On his brilliant debut EP, 'Doves & Ravens,' the young Dubliner draws inspiration from all the moments of brightness and darkness this world has to offer, crafting music that's at once soaring and intimate, stripped-back and explosive. Stuttery hip-hop and R&B-influenced percussion underpins his weathered vocals as he combines organic and electronic elements into an arresting, emotional blend that calls to mind the adventurous arrangements of Bon Iver, James Blake, and James Vincent McMorrow.

Rich beyond just its production, the EP showcases Kennedy as a writer in possession of a sophistication well beyond his 25 years. He pens lyrics with a poet's eye and a rapper's precision, conjuring vivid imagery and transfixing audiences with the unique rhythm and flow of his soulful delivery.

"I think reading poetry and listening to hip hop offer a lot of the same rewards," reflects Kennedy. "The good rappers are so honest, and in my opinion they deserve to be viewed as poets. Regardless of the form, though, I just feed off of anyone who's expressing themselves and sharing their feelings."

That's precisely what drew Kennedy to the music of fellow Irish artist Glen Hansard, who he met by chance on the streets of Dublin.

"A few years later, when I was making my first recordings, I invited him to the studio," remembers Kennedy. "He couldn't make it, but he called back and offered me ten minutes onstage at his sold-out Christmas show. He said, 'You can use the guys in the band, you can do it acoustic, the stage is yours for ten minutes.'"

Kennedy made the most of his time in the spotlight, performing a stunning rendition of his 2016 single "After Rain." Praised by the BBC and hailed by The Irish Times as "woodsy romantic folk pop," the track would go on to rack up a staggering 19 million streams on Spotify, where Kennedy averages nearly 2 million monthly listeners these days.

The massive audience brought on by his streaming success has enabled Kennedy to sell out his own shows in Dublin and London now, but when it came time to record 'Doves & Ravens,' he eschewed any temptation to repeat the same musical formula that had brought him past popularity, instead pushing himself further artistically and personally than he'd ever gone before.

"I did the acoustic thing for so long, and I still love it, but what I mainly listen to is hip hop, and I think that was bound to come through in the production," he explains. "The first time we tried putting a beat over the verse of a song, I got so excited by how the acoustic element of the guitar was working with the programmed sound of the drums. I realized that if I ignored that feeling the music gave me and didn't chase that side of things, I'd be letting myself down."

The EP opens with "Glory," an emotional, infectious tour-de-force that solidifies Kennedy's status as a vocal powerhouse with equal parts grit and grace. Densely stacked harmonies meet minimalist instrumental production on the track, which is propelled forward by hypnotically off-kilter percussion loops. "I've learned that doves and ravens fly the same," he sings in a subtle nod to the two life-altering events that underlie each of the EP's four songs: falling in love and facing the death of someone close to him.

"You reassess your values after experiencing something like that," says Kennedy. "In my songs, verse to verse, line to line can jump back and forth between those two subjects. They're both always in my mind, and I think that goes a long way toward explaining the idea behind 'Doves & Ravens.' The songs all have a mix of light and shade, just like life."

On the fingerpicked "A Closeness," Kennedy reconciles the pain of loss with gratitude for having experienced something so special at all, while the rolling piano of "To All My Friends" honors the strong women in his life who have led by example, and the dreamy "Boston" harkens back to a summer in America when life was simpler.

Kennedy's live shows are intense and powerful experiences, something he's again quick to credit to the influence of poetry, in particular the African-American writers Black Ice and Amir Sulaiman.

"Watching those guys perform serves as a reminder to give everything you have with every line," says Kennedy. "They don't have music to back them up, so they have to be convincing with every word.

Convincing listeners has never been something Kennedy's struggled with. He sings with a fire in his soul and writes with raw, unfiltered honesty reflective of both his emotional and musical maturity. It's a rare combination that enables both his recordings and performances to cover such a wide and potent spectrum. Celebratory and solemn. Playful and serious. Analog and electronic. Dermot Kennedy has always been fascinated by extremes.

We flew from Orlando to Washington DC and then drove to Baltimore just to see him Live. 10/10 would do again! Seriously, we are hardcore concert junkies and this was hands down one of the most incredible concerts we have ever been to. Dermots passion and sheer talent are going to be something that everyone who see's him Live will talk about forever. We can't wait until this next round of concerts is announced. Will be seeing him at least twice <3

Put simply, 100% the best concert I've ever been to. Dermot is so, so talented and somehow sounds even better live than he does recorded. You can see and feel the passion behind his songs and it truly was a surreal experience to see him perform (front row at that!). I'm so grateful to have seen him before he makes it "big" because I know it'll happen soon. Thank you, Dermot, for "an evening I will not forget."

Dermot Kennedy is an absolute stunner! His voice is super intense and his band is killing it every time. I had goosebumps during the whole show. It’s been super intimate even though there were thousands of people in the room. I highly recommend seeing this guy and his band (the potato boys as they call themselves) live. This was my second Dermot Kennedy concert and I can’t wait for the next one!

What a show! It was wonderful seeing him live. We surprised him with red lights during “Lost”, which he thought was beautiful. He did all his new stuff from Without Fear. I’d hoped he’d do some old stuff, too, but He didn’t. Regardless, it was still incredible! His opener, SYML, was also incredible. All around just an amazing show and amazing talent.

The Fillmore show is Philadelphia was amazing. From the amazing lights to Dermot and the potato boys themselves were unbelievable. Dermot a lyrics is so emotional and when you see him live his heart and soul goes into every word he sings, it’s just incredible. See him for yourself! You won’t be disappointed!

Taylor Swift’s billion-dollar blockbuster Eras tour arrives in the UK on Friday, amid a frenzy of fan excitement.

British and Irish fans have waited more than a year for the show to arrive, since she kicked off her marathon string of dates in Glendale, Arizona in March 2023.

Since then she has crossed the US, Asia and south America and made stops across Europe, often accompanied by her boyfriend, the NFL star Travis Kelce.

But the wait finally ends when she steps out onto the stage at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on Friday, ahead of shows in Liverpool, Cardiff, London and Dublin.

The tour, which takes fans on a journey through the different musical stages of her career, has been a juggernaut and is predicted to provide a £997 million boost to the UK economy, according to a report.

Almost 1.2 million fans will spend an average of £848 on tickets, travel, accommodation, outfits and other costs to see the pop superstar at one of the 15 UK tour dates – more than 12 times the average cost of a night out, according to the Barclays Swiftonomics report.

Eras tour tickets sparked a 15.8% year-on-year increase in UK spending on entertainment when they were released last July.

The average amount spent on an Eras tour ticket is £206, although 14% of fans, including those who bought VIP ticket packages with premium seating and exclusive merchandise, spent more than £400.

It has already grossed more than a billion dollars, the biggest haul for any act ever and has bagged a Guinness World Record.

Cities will roll out the red carpet for her arrival, with special artworks being installed in Liverpool in celebration of her shows.

Dubbed the Taylor Town Trail, it will feature 11 art installations which are inspired by the studio albums from her back catalogue, including a huge butterfly installation, a regal throne and themed murals.

Capital Radio has also launched a pop-up station dedicated to all things Taylor Swift ahead of the start of the tour.

Capital (Taylor’s Version) will play hits from across her 11 studio albums, as well as offering trivia on the artist.

The station will also provide updates on Swift as she tours across the UK and will speak to fans before and after the shows to hear all the details of the experience.

Capital has said it is the first time in the UK that a national DAB radio station has been dedicated to a single artist.

The appetite for the tour has not been dimmed by the fact it is currently available to view on streaming service Disney+.

It was during the six-night run at the So-Fi Stadium in Los Angeles that the show was captured on camera by director Sam Wrench to make a concert film.

Swift flexed her considerable negotiating muscles by bypassing the traditional Hollywood studios and releasing the film directly to cinemas.

It is now available to stream for free for anyone with a Disney+ subscription.

However, UK and Irish fans will be treated to a significantly different show, after Swift overhauled her set list, staging and costumes following the release of her latest album The Tortured Poets Department.

She has cut songs from the previous set list, including fan favourite Long Live, and added a string of tracks from the new record, including But Daddy I Love Him, Down Bad, Fortnight, The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived and I Can Do It With A Broken Heart, which are widely interpreted to be about her rumoured romance with The 1975 frontman Matty Healy.

The level of frenzy over the tour has prompted a major bank to issue a warning over the risk of scams.

Lloyds Bank estimates more than £1 million could already have been lost in the UK to fraudsters pretending to offer tickets to Swift’s concerts and says more than 600 Lloyds Banking Group customers have already come forward to report being scammed.

The average amount lost by each victim was £332, though in some cases the loss was more than £1,000, Lloyds said.

Swift’s show in Edinburgh on Friday will feature support from US rock band Paramore and is due to kick of at 7.15pm.
