Payable On Death or P.O.D. is an American Christian nu metal band formed in 1992 and currently consists of Sonny Sandoval, Wuv Bernardo, Traa Daniels and Marcos Curiel.

The band Payable On Death was formed in 1992 by Marcos Curiel and Wuv Bernard, who are originally from San Diego. In the early stages the duo were just jamming and didn't currently have a vocalist. Sonny Sandoval was invited to join by his cousin Bernard after he turned to Christianity following the fatal death of his mother. After the edition of bass player Gabe Portillo, the original line up was in place and they continued from there as P.O.D. The band have a variety of influencers such as Santana, Bob Marley, Metallica, U2, Pantera, Bad Brains and Faith No More. This helps to explain the way their sound tends to cross genres including alternative rock, reggae and latin.

In 1994 they released their debut album 'Snuff the Punk' through Rescue Records. They didn't achieve chart success with their first few albums yet their reputation quickly spread through the States, the band were famously offered a $100,000 recording contract which Sonny turned down as he believed that “God has a bigger plan for P.O.D".

The 2001 album 'Satellite' was their first appearance on the US and UK charts, charting at #6 and #16 respectively. They also topped the US Christian charts and appeared on numerous others around the world. Their next four albums all topped the US Christian chart, whilst three peaked within the top ten on the US Billboard Chart. However their success in the UK could be described as a one hit wonder, with 'Satellite' remaining the only charting album.

Live reviews

P.O.D. at Jakes Sports Bar 2-6-2016. this was my 4th time seeing this band, first time here in Lubbock but best of all the show was sold out, though P.O.D. was on late due to stage equipment issues what we (The Fans) were told from the 10 Years Vocalist, so from the opening song to final, P.O.D rocked the joint. the House sound was great, you could literately feel Tra's bass and Marcos Guitar. Wuv drumming was on the mark though he had monitors issues right when they came on. Kudos for the guy for pounding the drums though I'm sure it wasn't easy for him to hear the rest of the band. seems that place JAKES always has issues with their monitor system. this wasn't the first time bands had issues with monitor either. well, fans were greeted with songs from the new album and I will say them tunes rocked the house. I actually bought and downloaded the record during the show from iTunes, by the end of the show I had ion my iPhone. I had shared this album with my brother, best friend and my date whom all were in attendance. "Revolucion"a song from new album had a great response, fans heads were bobbing and the reggae beat that came with it fans started dancing to the beat too. fans really appreciated the bands big hits like Boom, Youth of the Nation, Alive all from the Satellite Album long with Southtown, Hollywood, and My fav Rock The Party( Off The Hook) from Fundamental Elements of Southtown Album. the only set back was the bands merchandise, I had taken extra cash to buy a tour shirt only to hear that most of the shirts were sold out or only available in certain sizes, sadly i walked away empty handed accept I witness an awesome show once again.

P.O.D.'s appeal as rock musicians and nu metal performers is such that many of their diehard fans don't even realise they are a Christian band. P.O.D., or Payable On Death have put enough craft into what they do to appeal to people from all walks of life, regardless of creed, from the disenfranchised youth to the fans faithful in every sense, for whom hits like 'Alive' take on a whole new meaning.

Wherever you stand on your beliefs and philosophy, P.O.D. may have something for you. With 8 albums released, 12 million records sold, major motion picture soundtrack deals and three grammy nominations under their bible belts, P.O.D.'s success demonstrates that they bring a whole nu dimension to nu metal. The live rock shows really rock. This band can get fans going crazy in the most exhilarating way. Expect a lot of jumping, chanting and intense rhyme-spitting, both on-stage and off. What may surprise people is that P.O.D. can also be seen live performing an acoustic set. The group play their back catalogue on an arrangement of acoustic guitars, bass and ethnic drums like cajon and bongos. The songs don't lose their energy or intensity, even when they bust out the occasional melodica solo. Instead they gain a cool and intense intimacy.

Whatever your tastes, P.O.D. provide a couple of different ways for you to experience their music. Go forth now in peace, to experience.

The musicians Sonny Sandoval, Wuv Bernardo, Traa Daniels, Marcos Curiel are best known as the Christian alternative metal band P.O.D. (Payable On Death). Having formed in 1992, they have gained a large following for their unusual take on metal music, not something you would immediately associate with the Christian faith.

Having enjoyed huge success in their native US, the band has had less commerciality in the UK yet their music has amassed a cult-like reputation. The fact they do not visit all too regularly means that fans travel to see the stomping tones of 'Boom'. Massive cheers reach the rafters as the group step out with huge smiles on their faces before they tear into an anthemic performance of 'Set It Off'.

The crowds roar at its finale and the rockers thank them profusely for their support. They treat them to the fan favourites and international hits include an extended version of 'Alive', 'Youth of the Nation' and 'Babylon the Murderer' before thanking the lord and making a shift exit whilst the applause continue to ring about the venue.

WOW!! Great show. Amazing sound. Well mixed by the audio techs. Very fun & interactive show in an intimate small club. Killer setlist featuring a great selection of tunes off of almost every one of their 13 albums. Met all 5 of the guys after the show & they are genuinely the absolute friendliest, genuine, grateful, & humble rock stars I have ever had the pleasure of hanging out with. They each showered on their tour bus & then one by one came outside to talk, laugh, take photos, & shoot short personal videos with just 7 of us fans. They said they love doing the arena & large venue tours but their favorite shows are still the small clubs because of the close proximity to diehard fans of the band. I'd do it again tonight! Even Sonny & Wuv's 18 yr old nephew, Anthony, was humble, helpful, & friendly working their merch table. In fact, he's the one that told me to go to their bus & they'd come out.

Payable on death was amazing as always and I loved the smaller venue at the Royal versus the larger ones that they normally play. The energy was great and they brought down the house Southtown style. I had VIP's along with my brother and we missed the meet and greet before the show. But after talking to the guy running their merch table (forgot his name). He talked to Sonny and we were able to talk to the guys on the bus and take pics and get signatures. This was the coolest part besides the set itself. P.O.D. is my all time favorite band and have been listening to them for over 20 years and think that it's cool that they connect with their fans and treat you like family. Highly recommend seeing them as I love to do when they are in town out close by. Marcus Vega

P.O.D. always Rocks the Party! And this time was no different. They've had countless songs in multiple movie, TV, and video game soundtracks including: "The Matrix", "TMNT", and Kevin James' movie "Here Comes the Boom". I've seen the San Diego based quartet at least 20 times and have traveled as far as 300+ miles to see them. They have NEVER disappointed. While belting out their main hits (Youth of the Nation, Alive, Boom, et al) they will mix up the playlist based on their crowd and who they're playing with, whether it be to stir up the mosh pit, or to slow the vibe to groove to a reggae inspired jam. Playing powerful rhythms mixed with moving, inspiring and challenging lyrics. If you have never seen these guys, then your definitely missing out.

Maybe this was one of the best experiences in my life!

P.O.D. are giants even if in a small place!

That night was full of energy, love and good vibes!

The connection between the band and the fans was really powerful!

They absolutely deserve to be seen in a live concert, because if you've never seen one of their concerts you've lost an important part of their music!

Watching their music videos isn't the same as living this kind of magic experiences.

Even if P.O.D. were more famous at the beginning of the 2000s, they have still have A LOT to give!

May this European tour be a new beginning!

I hope to see P.O.D. soon in Italy for another night like that!!!

Okay so this was my first P.O.D concert and I think wait no scratch that I know that was once of the best concerts I've been too. 10 years and P.O.D was amazing. My friend Samantha, Seth, and there dad gerett and I got to go in this lounge and meet the band because gerett knew then or is good buddies with them. I got to take pictures and get my set list signed. And it was cool because it wasn't just P.O.D back there it was 4 other bands too it was awesome I think I could never experience another concert like that, except the hearing loss I got I get that at every concert.

Thanks for an amazing concert

The best gig in my life!!! They still kick asses. Energy, passion and enthusiasm. I’m really impressed. It was totally Worth travelling from abroad. Keep it up!

Hope to see them soon.

The venue was also great, the queue went really fast, there was a cloakroom and a bar.

The sound was perfect, one of the best I have seen during a concert. Obviously, it was a fantastic place for such events.

P.O.D. Announce 2024 Tour Dates with Bad Wolves, Norman Jean

The band’s forthcoming LP ‘Veritas’ arrives in May

P.O.D. band 2024

This spring, P.O.D. are returning to the road. The group announced Tuesday routing for their I Got That Tour. The trek includes very special guests Bad Wolves, Norma Jean, and Blind Channel.

An artist ticket pre-sale begins tomorrow, Wednesday, February 28 at 10am. General tickets go on sale this Friday, March 1 at 10am. Special VIP Packages are available now.

Platinum-selling rock mainstays P.O.D. have confirmed their forthcoming album, Veritas . The record is slated for arrival May 3 through Mascot Records. It is the band’s 11th studio outing, following 2018’s Circles .

In the fall of 2022, the band debuted the video for “Drop,” which features a vicious vocal cameo from Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe. They followed with the video for equally eruptive single “Afraid to Die,” featuring Jinjer vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk. The tracks combined have garnered seven million streams.

“‘Afraid to Die’ is a combination of cryptic and triumphant melodies,” says P.O.D. guitarist Marcos Curiel. “It has storytelling rhymes and chugged verses, and a wide open, melodic yet semi-morbid, chorus. It’s anthemic In every sense of the word.”He continues, “Our dear friend Tatiana Shmayluk offers her unique approach and we had incredible musical chemistry with her. This is P.O.D. hitting the human core of our existence and dealing with love, fear, integrity, and most of all, family and friends. It’s ultimately an abundance of love and life.”

He continues, “Our dear friend Tatiana Shmayluk offers her unique approach and we had incredible musical chemistry with her. This is P.O.D. hitting the human core of our existence and dealing with love, fear, integrity, and most of all, family and friends. It’s ultimately an abundance of love and life.”

Now, the band has shared the music video for the album’s latest single, “I Won’t Bow Down.” Stream the official clip below now.“We can’t wait for you all to hear the new album in its entirety,” states Curiel. “We’ve put so much heart and soul into this recording. We are extremely proud of it. We hope to see all your beautiful faces in city near you. Thank you for your unwavering support. We love and appreciate you all.”Frontman Sonny Sandoval adds, “There’s a first time for everything and the writing and recording process of this record will definitely not be the last. We might’ve just created our best album yet!”

“This will most likely be one of my favorite P.O.D. records,” bassist Traa Daniels states. “There are some songs on this record that are so different from one another, but still have that P.O.D. So Cal flavor.”

Written over the course of several years, with the band typically writing a tune or two at a time in L.A. with The Heavy, Veritas is a cannon-shot of adrenaline to the ear drums. And for a band that has never shied away from wearing their heart on their sleeve, it’s also one of the most emotionally inspired albums of the band’s career.

The word VERITAS — which translates to “Truth” in Latin — defined the emotional core of the album, and the album art further encapsulates that message: to Curiel, the Veritas album cover, which pictures a child with its eyes blacked out, signifies “a culmination of innocence and dark hidden truths.

P.O.D. have a select few headlining shows plotted in the UK this year, featured appearances at Welcome to Rockville (U.S.) and Sonic Temple (U.S.), in addition to their spring U.S. tour dates.

The all-new Veritas will be available on CD, transparent vinyl, and digital download. Fans can pre-order the album now.

Empire’s March 2024 Podcast Tour

pod tour uk

The Empire Podcast is going back on tour! Yes, folks, because you demanded it, the award-winning podteam are taking the show back on the road this March, for the first time since 2019.

But this time, there's a twist — we’re calling this An Evening With The Empire Podcast, which will tell you that it’s not quite our usual template of simply recording a podcast in front of an audience. You’ll still get your fair share of movie news, film reviews and audience questions, of course, but we’ll be introducing one or two extra elements as well for the live arena, guaranteeing a rip-roaring two hours of film-related fun at every show. And these will not be going out as podcast episodes, either — the only way to experience these shows is to buy tickets!

We'll be bringing the pod to five different cities in March, starting with the Crescent Theatre in Birmingham on March 1 — just three short weeks away! Then we’ll be heading to Partridge Country on March 6, as we head to the Playhouse in Norwich. One week later, on March 13, it’ll be a case of Sheffield Wednesday as we, um, go to Sheffield on a Wednesday at the Memorial Hall. March 21 sees us venture outside the British Isles to return to Dublin, where we’ll be appearing at the Laughter Lounge. And yes, we know that laughter is not guaranteed. Finally, we’ll bring the tour to a hopefully triumphant end at the Quays Theatre in Salford, Manchester, on Thursday March 28. (Apologies to Scotland and Wales — another time, all being well.)

Tickets will go on sale via each of the venues from 10am on Friday 9 Feb, with the exception of Norwich, which will go on sale next week. Tickets for each of the shows will cost £17.50 (plus fees) across the board.

We're not planning to have special guests at these shows — unless otherwise stated and announced beforehand. Instead, we'll be focusing on the regular podcast team — Chris Hewitt and his colleagues of such lethal cunning, Helen O’Hara and James Dyer — at every show, while brining in a different member of the wider Empire team to join them in the revolving fourth chair at each separate date.

If you’ve been to a live Empire show before, we’d love to see you again. If you haven’t, now’s the perfect time to come along for an evening filled with laughter, movie trivia, wild cinematic opinions, and dreadful impressions. We’re hugely excited — this is our biggest tour to date, and our biggest shows to date. As Darth Vader once said, we would be honoured if you would join us. And look what happened to him.

Those dates/venues in full:

Friday, March 1 — Crescent Theatre, Birmingham

Wednesday, March 6 — Playhouse, Norwich (priority booking open now, general sale from 10am on 23 February)

Wednesday, March 13 — Memorial Hall, Sheffield

Thursday, March 21 — Laughter Lounge, Dublin

Thursday, March 28 — The Lowry Theatre, Salford, Manchester

P.O.D. Book Huge ‘Satellite’ 20th Anniversary 2021 Tour With From Ashes to New, All Good Things + Sleep Signals

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of their multi-platinum  Satellite album, P.O.D. will embark on a huge summer tour with From Ashes to New , All Good Things and Sleep Signals appearing on most of the dates. A special edition of the album has also been announced.

"We've been touring and working hard for almost 30 years now," said P.O.D. singer Sonny Sandoval . "It's all we know," he continued, adding "This past year has really made me realize how much I love what I do and how much I appreciate that I am still able to make music and play live for all of those who are still listening. Thank you to all of you who still love live music and can't wait to be a part of the P.O.D. experience. We can't wait to see all of your beautiful faces out on the road."

With this renewed sense of spirit, the band, who last released  Circles  in 2018, will kickstart their run with an appearance at the famous Sturgis Motorcycle Rally at Buffalo Chip on South Dakota on Aug. 14.

From there, P.O.D. will remain on the road through early October, making occasional stops at other fests along the way before the anniversary trek concludes in San Diego, California on Oct. 7.

"It's been way too long. We are beyond excited to get back to the stage — where we provide the rock and you provide the roll," commented guitarist Marcos Curiel. "From familiar faces to new ones, let's get back to what we've all been waiting for. We are ready as a band to create new memories with you all. Let's do this! Peace, love, light, and rock 'n' roll."

Looking forward to getting back onstage, From Ashes to New's Matt Brandyberry said, "In 2001, we were literally 'The Youth of the Nation' and P.O.D.'s hit was an anthem to so many of us. Satellite was an album that helped shape a genre and will go down as one of the greatest records of that era. We are honored to join them on this U.S. tour to help celebrate 20 years of an absolute masterpiece."

See the list of tour dates directly below and check listings carefully as the opening acts on some nights deviate from the standard billing. For tickets, head  here .

On Sept. 3, P.O.D. will drop a special  Satellite: 20th Anniversary Edition  digitally and as a double CD with 27 songs, including a remastered version of the original record as well as rarities, remixes and four previously unreleased demos. A double-LP version of the anniversary edition will be released later on Oct. 8.

Paul will bring his acclaimed Got Back tour to Europe this December!

Fulfilling his promise to 'get back', Paul will return to France, Spain and the UK with his Got Back  tour. Earlier this month, Paul announced his first live shows of 2024 with the next leg of the tour launching in South America this October.

With songs like ‘Hey Jude’, ‘Live and Let Die’, ‘Band on the Run’,  ‘Let It Be’ and so many more, the Paul McCartney live experience is everything any music lover could ever want from a rock show: hours of the greatest moments from the last 60 years of music – dozens of songs from Paul’s solo, Wings and of course Beatles catalogues that have formed the soundtracks of our lives.

This will mark Paul’s first European show since his iconic Glastonbury headlining performance in 2022. Hailed as “one of the greatest gigs of all time” by The Times and “a masterclass from the greatest living cultural figure in this country’s history” by The i, it was also Paul and his band’s 500th show together! These dates will see McCartney return for his first live performance in Paris in six years - in 2018 he played at La Defense Arena, where he is making his return. The wait has been longer for Spaniards, where he last played eight years ago, in 2016 at Estadio Vincente Calderon.

Paul launched his Got Back tour in 2022, completing 16 huge shows across the US before performing his history-making set at Glastonbury in June 2022. In 2023 Paul performed 18 incredible shows as the Got Back tour rocked through Australia, Mexico and Brazil.

UK Fans Wonder If Taylor Swift Will Say 'So Long, London' Following 'Eras Tour'

AP logo

LONDON (AP) — Taylor Swift fans enjoy parsing the singer-songwriter’s lyrics for references to her romantic life and insights into her state of mind.

But the pop superstar’s fans in the U.K. didn’t have to listen closely to her latest album , “The Tortured Poets Department,” to get the sense that Swift had soured on the country’s capital city after long making it a regular hangout and then her second home. The record’s fifth track is titled “So Long, London.”

As Swift brings her blockbuster Eras Tour to London’s Wembley Stadium, some Swifties therefore are wondering if they are witnessing the beginning of an extended goodbye. She is performing three nights starting Friday, and is scheduled to return to Wembley for five nights in August to close the tour’s European leg .

The area around Wembley was transformed for the shows, with fans posing in front of a giant mural of the singer and traveling stairs christened “Swiftie Steps.” Swift announced that 88,446 people were in attendance at Friday’s show in what she called “the most exhilarating city in the world.”

Swift gave fans a wink and a nod toward her London life during one of her two solo acoustic surprise songs: a piano medley that opened with the London-set “The Black Dog” and segued into “Come Back, Be Here” and then “Maroon.”

London is the only city on the tour where Swift is stopping twice. Some worry the arrangement may represent a swan song of sorts, while others think it just reflects a new era in Swift’s bond with the Big Smoke. Whether “So Long, London” turns out to be a final chapter or a bookend to her valentine to the city, the song “London Boy,” Eras is arriving as an emotional milestone.

“Her relationship now kind of assumes London won’t be somewhere she will be. It’s not like there is an American football player living here,” said Maggie Fekete, 22, a Canadian graduate student who credits the London references in Swift’s music with orienting her when she moved to the city three years ago. “I think there will be a lot less London in her music, which is sad.”

Stella Elgood, 25, of London, said Friday she assumed Swift would sing “So Long, London” at some point during her eight nights in the city but that Swift “will always be welcome.”

“Especially since she dated Harry Styles, she’s been here in the Zeitgeist,” Elgood said.

For those who haven’t been paying attention, Swift had a series of romances with famous British citizens (including Styles in 2012) that ended last year, when she started dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce . The speculation surrounding “So Long, London” and a mournful companion song that mentions a London pub , “The Black Dog,” stems from the 2023 breakup of Swift and English actor Joe Alwyn, who were together for over six years.

Alwyn is assumed to have inspired “London Boy,” a song from her 2019 album “Lover.” A special-edition “Lover” CD included what appeared to be a January 2017 diary entry in which Swift talked about being “essentially based in London” but trying to lay low. British tabloids later reported that Swift spent much of the COVID-19 pandemic sheltering with Alwyn in north London.

The Sun newspaper reported in December that the multiple Grammy-winner had bought a large property in the area and was remodeling it to be her base in Europe. After Swift released “The Tortured Poets Department” last month, however, a writer for the British edition of ELLE magazine observed that Londoners had an opening “for an all-American A-lister who can slot into her place in our collective consciousness.”

“We had Swift before we lost her to her record-breaking, box office-breaking Eras Tour and now, it would appear that her vacant position has been filled by Zendaya ,” writer Naomi May playfully posited before listing the various locations the American actor had been spotted with her longtime boyfriend, British actor Tom Holland.

Either way, the capital is putting on quite a show of its own to make sure Swift and her fans feel appreciated. Guides are offering walking, bus and taxi tours that retrace her footsteps, including a kebab shop whose owner says his establishment is supplying sandwiches for the singer and her crew on Friday.

Before the end of August, Swifties can partake in a full diet of Swift-themed brunches and dance parties, or ride the London Eye Ferris wheel accompanied by a string quartet playing her music. Souvenir stalls in Camden Market, one of the places mentioned in “London Boy,” stocked up on Swift-specific caps, T-shirts, bags and stickers in preparation.

Amy Unsworth, 34, who is from a small town near Manchester, England, and was born a month before Swift, said Friday that the singer’s ties to the U.K. and vice versa extend beyond the capital.

“I feel like as a Northerner I have an affinity with her,” Unsworth said, noting that Swift wrote many of the songs on her “Evermore” album while in England’s Lake District with Alwyn.

“It’s hard to know how she feels right now, being back, given her history.”

Unsworth isn’t worried Swift will turn her back on the U.K. Swift said from the stage that her British fans “have been some of the most supportive people in my corner since I started making music.” Swift performed in London for the first time at age 17, when she appeared at the student union of Kings College London.

“I think she will come back” after Eras, Unsworth said. “She has too many dedicated fans not to come back. She’s built up too much momentum here to just forget about us.”

Zachary Hourihane, who co-hosts a Swift podcast called “Evolution of a Snake” and posts YouTube and TikTok videos under the name Swiftologist, said Thursday that it’s too soon to know whether the singer will retain her honorary citizenship or part ways with London. As her fans know all too well, only time will tell with Taylor.

“Taylor is someone who retraces her steps a lot. Things are never really over with her. She likes to revisit things that have finished,” he said. “Let’s be realistic about it. Her relationship, even if it is, ‘so long, goodbye,’ she has good reason to be in London and good money to make there.”

The UK's best film and TV studio tours

From King's Landing to Diagon Alley, these are some of the country's most impressive sets

  • Newsletter sign up Newsletter

Diagon Alley set at Warner Bros. studio in Watford

There's something about stepping into the world of a film or TV show that feels strangely familiar. Perhaps it's the local pub in a soap you've watched since you were a kid, or a grand old hotel that served as the backdrop to your favourite movie. Whatever the location, an immersive tour is a great way to take a trip down memory lane.

You don't have to go very far, either. The UK has its fair share of fascinating movie backdrops. From the cobbled streets of Corrie to Professor Sprout's greenhouse in "Harry Potter", these are some of the best film and TV sets to visit in 2024.

The Making of Harry Potter, London

The gold standard of film tours in the UK is this behind-the-scenes glimpse into the making of Harry Potter at Warner Bros. Studio in Watford (about 20 miles northwest of central London). As the studio where all eight of the iconic films were made, it's home to an array of breathtaking sets spanning everything from the whimsical streets of Diagon Alley to the grand hall at Gringotts Wizarding Bank.

During the tour, visitors are given the chance to see countless props and costumes, discover how special effects were used to bring the magic on screen to life, and marvel at the art department's intricate miniature scale model of Hogwarts. Tickets for the standard day tour start at £53.60 and go right up to the £250 Deluxe Tour, which includes a souvenir guide book and a bottle of Butterbeer.

The Friends Experience, London

Fans of the much-loved TV series " Friends " will be pleased to hear they don't need to venture across the pond for this next tour. To celebrate the show's 30th birthday, Warner Bros. has teamed up with Original X Productions to create "The Friends Experience: The One in London" (tickets are currently on sale ahead of the opening in August).

Set within the waterside ExCeL centre in east London, the experience will be packed with full-scale re-created sets, costumes and props. Among the highlights is the chance to play foosball at Joey and Chandler's; take a photo behind Rachel and Monica's purple door; and sink into the orange couch at the show's iconic coffee house, Central Perk.

The Paddington Bear Experience, London

Set across a series of rooms at County Hall on the South Bank in central London, this activity-packed "multi-sensory" experience takes guests on an adventure to help the Brown family prepare for the Marmalade Day Festival.

Written by Katie Lyons and directed by creative collective Immersive Octopus, the experience was crafted to celebrate the 66th anniversary of Michael Bond's first Paddington book.

Kicking off at Paddington Station, you'll jump aboard a "full size train carriage" and journey through the capital to the Brown's house at No. 32 Windsor Gardens. Here, you'll explore multiple rooms before being transported to the jungle of Peru. The experience ends with a party at Windsor Gardens with Paddington himself where you'll be treated to, you guessed it, a delicious marmalade sandwich.

Coronation Street, Manchester

For dedicated Corrie fans, this 90-minute tour of the set in Manchester is a real treat. An expert guide will take you through the cobbled streets of Weatherfield – the biggest single TV production site on the planet.

Tickets also give you access to the permanent exhibition, which includes a collection of intricately designed replica sets (including the much-loved Rovers Return and Roy's Rolls), props and costumes from the show. There's plenty of opportunities to take selfies along the way, too.

Game of Thrones, Belfast

Located in an old linen mill from the 1900s that went on to become the studio behind "Game of Thrones" , this tour gives a remarkable insight into the making of the hit HBO series. The studio is a half-hour drive from Belfast and around 90 minutes from Dublin.

Over 150 costumes are on display from Emmy-winning costume designer Michele Clapton, including Daenerys's white fur coat and Cersei's coronation gown. Other highlights include early sketches by the art department detailing the meticulous scenery, and an expansive collection of studio sets (including the interiors of King's Landing), props and weapons (don't miss the dragon eggs).

Singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter has announced her upcoming North American headlining arena tour. The “ Short n’ Sweet ” tour, which kicks off September 23 in Columbus, Ohio, includes dates at New York’s Madison Square Garden and Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Amaarae , Griff and Declan McKenna will be supporting Carpenter on this tour. Nearly six albums into her career, Carpenter made Hot 100 history with her new single “Please Please Please” debuting at No. 2, and “Espresso” rising to a new peak of No. 3 on the list. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter became the first solo act in the history of the Billboard chart to land two simultaneous top-three hits without having previously charted in that realm.

“Please Please Please” was completed by a cinematic music video starring “Saltburn” star and Carpenter’s real-life boyfriend, Barry Keoghan. The song was co-written with Amy Allen, who also helped pen “Espresso.”

The singles will appear on her new album, “Short n’ Sweet,” due out Aug. 23. “This project is quite special to me and [I] hope it’ll be something special to you too,” she wrote on social media with the announcement. Half of the LP was produced by Jack Antonoff, along with returning collaborator, Julian Bunetta, as reported by Rolling Stone.

Carpenter released her fifth album “Emails I Can’t Send” in 2022 , as well as its deluxe edition “Emails I Can’t Send Fwd” the following year. It became her highest-charting to date and boasted a hot single “Nonsense,” a song that caught fire after she provided alternate closing lyrics while opening for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in South America and Australia. She also toured the album on her own 80-date headlining world tour.
