Beyoncé Is Coming to a City Near You

By Amel Mukhtar

Beyonc Is Coming to a City Near You

While we might be stuck waiting for those mythical Renaissance videos forever, fans will soon be able to see Beyoncé in the flesh: Queen B has announced a world tour, seven long years on from her Formation dates to support the release of Lemonade.

This will mark the first time Beyoncé has performed music from Act I: Renaissance live. Although she recently headlined a concert extravaganza in Dubai— wearing three incredible performance looks for the occasion —she did not play songs from the album on the night.

Starting in Stockholm on May 10, the singer will make her way through European arenas, then stop in the U.K. for six shows, including three nights at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. In July, she will head to North America, beginning in Toronto and ending in New Orleans in the fall. Be on alert, as the superstar has yet to announce when tickets will go on sale, only teasing that it would be “soon.”

In the more immediate future, Beyoncé is up for nine awards for Renaissance at the Grammys this Sunday—including album of the year, song of the year, and record of the year. The night could see her become the most awarded artist in the ceremony’s history. Who could deserve it more?

Beyoncé Announces “RENAISSANCE” Stadium World Tour

  • Diana Coleman
  • February 10, 2023

Queen B is back on the stage! After the highly-anticipated release of her seventh studio album, RENAISSANCE , in July 2022, Beyoncé is finally announcing a tour to commemorate it in front of fans.

Beyoncé’s Last Tour Was Six Years Ago

It’s been more than six years since Beyoncé went on a solo tour. Yup, it’s been that long. Her last tour was 2016’s Formation tour, where she played 49 shows in a 6-month span. This time, she’s going just as big, as she is traveling the entire world during 4 months performing at exactly 49 shows once again. Talk about a go-getter!

Nevertheless, even though it’s been a long time since Beyoncé has blessed us with a tour, she did gave an spectacular performance during the 2018 edition of Coachella. Also, in January of this year, she gave us a taste of what we can expect on her RENAISSANCE tour. She performed a full concert at the new Atlantis the Royal Resort in Dubai, her first one in four years. A big orchestra, backup dancers, fireworks, and even water joined her on stage, so who knows what kind of surprises she’ll have under her sleeve for the tour.

RENAISSANCE Tour Dates

The RENAISSANCE tour, produced by Parkwood Entertainment, and promoted by Live Nation, kicks off on May 10th in Stockholm, SE, making stops throughout Europe in Cardiff, Edinburgh, Sunderland, Paris, London, Marseille, Amsterdam, Warsaw and more. The tour then continues across North America with shows in Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston and more, wrapping up in New Orleans on September 27th. Check out all the dates down below! To purchase your tickets, visit https://tour.beyonce.com/

BeyGOOD Keeps Supporting Organizations

As with previous tours, Beyoncé will make her mark offstage, too, with BeyGOOD, the initiative she founded in 2013 to support people and programs around the world.  BeyGOOD will continue its legacy of philanthropy, building out this focus on economic equity by supporting organizations that serve marginalized and underserved communities with access to scholarships, opportunities for internships that lead to job placement, and resources to support entrepreneurship.

In various cities throughout the tour, BeyGOOD will support entrepreneurs through Black Parade Route luncheons, celebrating small business owners, with grant opportunities being awarded and a foray of services with global partners to promote business sustainability. One thousand small businesses will be supported with a commitment totaling one million dollars.

All the Celebrities Who've Attended Beyonce's 'Renaissance' World Tour

From Zendaya and Tom Holland to Ariana Grande, here are all the A-listers who've seen Queen Bey in action this summer

Kevin Mazur/WireImage

The Renaissance World Tour is one of the hottest tickets of the summer. After announcing her return to the stage back in February, Beyoncé kicked off her worldwide tour in Europe on May 10 and hasn't stopped globe-trotting since.

The BeyHive has been pulling up in droves and packing stadiums through good and bad weather. Making the tour even sweeter is the fact that Queen Bey has been joined by her oldest child, 11-year-old daughter Blue Ivy , on stage at almost every stop.

As Beyoncé continues the American leg of the renowned tour, see all the celebrities who've attended the three-hour performance extravaganza this summer — including the huge selection of stars who showed up in silver in L.A.

Solange Knowles

“That’s myyyy sister yalllll,” Solange captioned a video of Beyoncé on stage while at the FedEx Field Stadium concert in Maryland. “Forever in awe."

But Solange wasn't only fangirling for her sister. The "Don't Touch My Hair" singer was also screaming and shouting for her niece, Blue Ivy, who joined her mama on stage halfway through the show.

“Address me as blue’s auntie only,” Solange wrote under a clip of the 11-year-old dancing while rocking a sparkling blue ensemble.

Kamala Harris

Beyoncé even had Vice President Kamala Harris come out for her D.C. show — and she was on point. The V.P. wore a sparkling gold button-down blouse, keeping in theme with the BeyHive trend of wearing shimmery costumes to the Renaissance concerts.

"Thanks for a fun date night, @Beyonce !" Harris wrote on Twitter alongside a photo of herself with husband Douglas Emhoff.

Oprah Winfrey

"I have never in my life experienced something as transcendent as @beyonce ’s Renaissance Tour. That kind of talent, synergy, expression, and anointing is something that comes straight from a Source that creates the planets," Oprah raved after seeing Beyoncé in concert at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

"The dancers, the production, the musicians, and the team in front and behind the scenes, all perfectly align to create a renaissance in today’s world. You must see it 🪩💃🏽"

Also at the MetLife Stadium with Winfrey was her best friend for life, Gayle King , who was amused at the media mogul's seemingly sudden endurance.

"Some things are worth staying up on a school night and it starts with B...BEYONCÉ!" she wrote under a video from the concert. In it, Winfrey, as well as Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles, could be seen singing and dancing along to "Break My Soul."

"I see  @oprah  got over her concern about standing on her feet for 3 hours at a concert...sister girl never sat down! definitely going again, my jaw is still on the floor!"

Kelly Rowland

UnBoxPHD / SplashNews.com

It's no surprise that BB's lifelong friend, Kelly Rowland , was front and center at her London show. The former Destiny's Child member was seen doing choreography in the stands and singing along to "Break My Soul" . Rowland even blew Bey a kiss after she gave her a shoutout .

Zendaya & Tom Holland

Tugging at all our heartstrings was a viral video of Tom Holland and Zendaya singing "Love on Top" to each other while at the Warsaw, Poland, show in June.

Kylie & Kris Jenner

Kylie Jenner and her girl gang — which included her mom, Kris Jenner — made their way to the Renaissance tour stop in Paris on May 26.

Jonathan Groff

Jonathan Groff was spotted fangirling over Beyoncé while at her Cardiff, Wales, show back in May. In a video taken by actress Tanya Saracho , Groff and Doctor Who costar Ncuti Gatwa fawned over the queen as they waited for the concert to start.

"Jonathan, are you ready to have a religious experience?" Saracho asked the wide-eyed actor, who promptly responded, "Yes." Also in attendance with the crew was fellow actor, Raúl Castillo.

Damson Idris & Lori Harvey

The Renaissance World Tour made for the perfect date night for Damson Idris and his lady love, Lori Harvey . The latter posted several now-expired videos to her Instagram of their night in London with the Queen.

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande pulled up to the Renaissance World Tour in London, rocking her Barbie best in a bright pink ensemble. Internet personality Max Balegde managed to snag a video with the "Love Me Harder" singer backstage, before she was recorded dancing her heart out to a mash-up of "Crazy in Love" and "Green Light" during the packed show.

Salma Hayek

Always down for a good time, Salma Hayek was seen dancing and interacting with fans as everyone waited for Beyoncé's show to start at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on June 4.

Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell had a few words to say following one of Bey's shows in London: "QUEEN !!! B  @BEYONCE  PHENOMENAL," she captioned a carousel of photos she took.

Paul McCartney

Ahead of his 81st birthday, the legendary Beatle went to see Beyoncé in action in London, accompanied by his wife Nancy Shevell.

Priyanka Chopra

Also at the same show was Priyanka Chopra , who brought her mom for a pre-birthday girls' night out.

"Damn! What a woman and what a night," the Citadel actress wrote as part of her recap post. She also gave a shout-out to JAY-Z and Beyoncé "for the incredible hospitality," before thanking her hubby Nick Jonas "for the most memorable night!"

Selena Gomez

Cindy Ord/Getty Images

Back in May, Selena Gomez was spotted arriving to a Paris concert donning a black leather trench coat, sleek ponytail and a huge grin as she stepped into the venue.

Megan Thee Stallion

Not only did Megan Thee Stallion snag some tickets to the coveted tour stop in Paris, but she got to enjoy the show while standing right next to JAY-Z. In a video captured by fans, the fellow Houston native — who collaborated with Beyoncé on the "Savage Remix" — could be seen getting into the groove of "Love on Top" and sharing some laughs with Jay.

Vivica A. Fox

It looks like Meg was in great company, as Vivica A. Fox also posted pics and videos of herself from the concert, some of which included the "Cry Baby" rapper.

(Also at this Paris show were Chris Rock, The-Dream and Natalie Portman.)

Florence Pugh

Joe Maher/WireImage

The Oppenheimer actress was spotted showing off her fresh buzzcut among hordes of fans at one of the London shows in May. On her Instagram Stories, Pugh was utterly awestruck by Beyoncé.

Queen + Adam Lambert’s 150-minute career-spanning set list celebrates the band’s extraordinary back catalogue, lining up wall-to-wall immortal anthems like “We Will Rock You”, “Don’t Stop Me Now”, “Radio Ga Ga”, and “Somebody To Love” alongside classic deep cuts and vintage fan favourites. Featuring a dazzling state-of-the-art stage design, incredible special effects and set pieces, this sense-swamping extravaganza has been blowing critics and fans away the world over.

As with last year’s UK and European dates, the 2023 North American tour will see Queen + Adam Lambert supported on stage by their regular band members, long-serving Queen keyboard player and musical director Spike Edney, bass guitarist Neil Fairclough and percussionist Tyler Warren.

Having extensively toured over the last few years, the Rhapsody show is forever evolving. But it remains at heart a tribute to Freddie Mercury’s majestic legacy, a confirmation of Brian and Roger’s undimmed musical prowess, plus a magnificent showcase for Adam’s vocal skills and electrifying stage charisma, all of which adds up to a glorious full-blooded celebration of one of the greatest songbooks in rock history. TICKETS: Tickets will be available via a general onsale beginning Friday, March 31st at 10AM local time at LiveNation.com .

MORE ON TICKETS:

Queen + Adam Lambert appreciate that it is an enormous task to try and stop scalpers from taking advantage of fans wanting to purchase tickets for the tour. In an effort to help minimize resale and keep ticket prices at face value for fans, the band are collaborating with the venues’ ticketing partners to restrict the ability to transfer tickets for The Rhapsody Tour so that they may only be transferred between fans at the original price.

Fans will still have protection against unforeseen circumstances. Those who purchase tickets and are no longer able to attend their show will be able to sell their tickets at the price they paid using a face value ticket exchange, including the Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange – which is free to use for buyers and sellers. More information on how the Ticketmaster Exchange works is available here .

Unfortunately, the states of NY, IL, and CO have laws in place which protect ticket scalpers – these laws prohibit artists from being able to restrict the transfer of their tickets to face value exchanges only. For shows in these states, Queen + Adam Lambert strongly encourage fans to only buy or sell tickets to one another on face value exchanges. More information can be found here , with more details to follow in the coming weeks.

Beyoncé performs during the opening night of the Renaissance World Tour on 10 May at Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden

Beyoncé: Renaissance World Tour review – a dizzying three-hour spectacular

Friends Arena, Stockholm Queen Bey’s first solo headline tour in seven years is a lavish leap forward for live entertainment, dripping with sci-fi disco decadence, sex and Black pride

E ven without Taylor Swift’s Ticketmaster-melting Eras Tour nipping at her heels, it wouldn’t do for a star as compulsively ambitious as Beyoncé to merely protect her status as the greatest pop show on Earth. Not when her first solo headline tour since 2016 could instead push 21st-century live entertainment another lavish leap forward.

Titled after the Texan’s disco glitter bomb post-pandemic party album of the same name , Renaissance is a monster blockbuster concert experience on a different plane. Fifty-seven stadium dates globally, starting in Stockholm, are projected to gross as much as £1.9bn ($2.4bn) by the time the tour ends in New Orleans late September. Dripping with sci-fi disco decadence, sex, body positivity and feminine Black pride, the near three-hour spectacular plays out in front, behind and, at times, inside a football-pitch-wide high-definition video screen designed to assault the senses at dizzying scale.

The BeyHive, as Beyoncé’s fans collectively style themselves, are buzzing pre-show as they flood into the venue from around the world for their first chance proper to see their queen live since 2018’s On the Run II co-headliner with Mr B, Jay-Z. Dressed head to toe in official tour merch, including a cap and hoodie both emblazoned with the word “THIQUE”, Mykwain Gainey has been to 20 Beyoncé shows over the past two decades and has spent nearly £2,000 to fly here from New York. “To see her transcend, and become what she has become, especially as a Black woman, is exciting,” he enthuses.

Beyoncé in Stockholm on Wednesday. With many of the show’s 36 songs abridged, the tempo was relentless.

Brazilian Yhes Bezerra wears a spangly cowboy hat like the one sported by Beyoncé in the tour poster, except theirs is homemade; sticking on the thousands of tiny mirror panels took nine hours. They were determined to come to the opening night to avoid social media spoilers about what to expect. “I want everything to be a surprise,” Bezerra smiles.

Beyoncé appears first in a video cut scene, laid out luxuriously across the giant screen semi-naked in dimensions big enough to be visible from space. And yet, once she emerges in the flesh – all sequins, shoulder pads and that megawatt smile, drinking in the crowd’s screams – she begins disarmingly with a slew of her rawest soul songs. By the second, Flaws and All, she already appears to be fighting back tears, whether of release or gratitude or both. It’s an opening that seems designed to strip away artifice, if only to provide some sharp contrast for the heavily technologically augmented spectacle about to follow.

Harking back to early house and techno and the ecstatic utopia of the dancefloor, a segment dedicated to the Renaissance album ensues with Beyoncé done up something akin to the Maschinenmensch in Metropolis. She grinds with a dozen backing dancers to the jittery reggaeton of her boss bitch mission statement I’m That Girl, then dances with some actual robots (a pair of mechanical arms) during Cosy. Were all that not semi-hallucinogenic enough, Alien Superstar interpolates narcissistic anthem I’m Too Sexy by 90s dance-pop twosome Right Said Fred.

Beyoncé performing on Wednesday

With many of the setlist’s whopping 36 songs abridged, the tempo is relentless. Blink and you’ll miss dancers popping out of the stage like champagne corks, or Beyoncé’s powerhouse band getting wheeled into occasional view on a tall stepped riser (shades of Beychella), such as during Chic-style feelgood funk workout Cuff It. “Y’all having a good time, Stockholm?” our host inquires, wiping an imperceptible bead of sweat from her brow. “Me too.”

Black Parade finds Beyoncé cruising the stage atop what looks like a kind of lunar rover. Somewhat comically, it exits up the gusset of a pair of massive splayed legs. Later she sings Plastic Off the Sofa stretched out in a clamshell. Come Crazy in Love, the show finally gets the enormous disco ball it seems to have long craved, dangled from the rafters for only a bit longer than the time it takes for the crew to get it up there and back down.

Bass-quaking, envelope-pushing Black power anthem Formation is a powerful political statement in any setting. Performed in a kind of virtual cathedral, horny southern rap and gospel cocktail Church Girl (sample lyric: “drop it like a thottie, drop it like a thottie”) might just be intended to provoke. But by Beyoncé’s own standards, it’s hard not to read Renaissance as a show much lighter on overt socio-political messaging than it is sheer, unfettered, mildly chaotic indulgence. And who could blame her?

In a final, unsubtle, retro-futuristic fanfare, Bey summons Bianca Jagger’s iconic Studio 54 moment by gliding through the air on a glitter-encrusted white horse while Summer Renaissance – which samples Donna Summer’s I Feel Love – blares. The disco history references may or may not be landing with the mostly young BeyHive, but that’s not really the point. By rewiring dance music past in a sensory overload of truly stunning ambition and stamina, Beyoncé is writing some history of her own.

The Renaissance World Tour continues until 27 September, see https://tour.beyonce.com/ for dates

Beyoncé Makes History With Astronomical Renaissance Tour Earnings

Beyoncé has reached a point in her superstardom where the only records she’s up against are her own, and she continues to smash those with ease.

On Tuesday (August 8), Touring Data reported that Queen B’s Renaissance World Tour has now become the highest-grossing trek of all time by a Black musician. The concert series has generated $296million from 33 shows so far, with 23 still left on the schedule. Her 2016 Formation World Tour held the previous record.

Additionally, she has also broken the all-time records for the highest-grossing concerts by a female as well as a Black act for her July 29 and 30 performances at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. Each night pulled in $16.541 million for a total of $33million.

Holding secure the title of the highest-grossing Black artist ever, Beyoncé has earned $1.3billion from the sale of 11.2 million tickets over her career.

Over the weekend, fans endured a massive storm to see Beyoncé perform, and the 41-year-old icon returned the favor by making sure her hive got home safely after the show.

The R&B star was in Maryland on Sunday (August 6) to play a show at FedEx Field right before a storm unleashed its fury on the state. Videos show lightning storms and pummeling rain soaking concert-goers, who got a shelter-in-place order while waiting to enter the stadium.

Atendees were crammed inside the venue’s entrance for two hours before being allowed in, but luckily the weather subsided enough for the show to start .

However, due to the concert running late, the Metro train’s service hours needed to be extended in order for fans to get home, which meant someone needed to pay the bill to make that happen. Bey’s tour company took on the responsibility and footed the bill, which amounted to $100,000, according to TMZ .

This allowed the trains at the surrounding 98 stations to run for an extra 60 minutes, which most likely bled into the early morning hours of Monday (August 7).

Beyoncé kicks off ‘Renaissance’ world tour with nine custom looks

Here is what queen b has worn while on her highly anticipated ‘renaissance’ world tour so far..

Alyssa Harris

Beyoncé is back on the road again with her long-awaited ‘Renaissance’ world tour. The 57-date tour kicked off in Stockholm last week and each concert spans almost three hours long.

Queen B is performing a whopping 37-song set list that features robots, flying horses, and stunning visual effects. The Grammy award-winning artist was sure to make sure her tour outfits matched her jaw-dropping performance.

So far Beyoncé has wowed audiences for two nights in a row in Stockholm. Let’s take a look at the custom-made outfits the singer wore for her back-to-back opening nights.

Custom Alexander McQueen

Bey opened the show with a custom Alexander McQueen silver bodysuit. The look was inspired by the designer’s latest fall 2023 collection.

Custom David Koma

Beyoncé's next look is a stunning holographic floor-length jacket, with a matching dress and boots. The artist’s backup dancers also appear to be wearing outfits made of the same fabric.

Custom Loewe

For the next look, Beyoncé wore a custom bejeweled body suit. The suit features a flesh-colored fabric with several hand silhouettes designed all over the body.

She paired black gloves with the look to create an optical illusion.

Beyoncé continues with the custom Loewe looks with another silver bejeweled look. This time differs from her previous looks with baggy shimmery pants, a long sleeve shirt, and a metal breastplate.

Custom Courrèges

Beyoncé stunned in a silver asymmetrical custom bodysuit designed by, Nicolas di Felice. She paired the look with matching thigh-high silver boots while her backup dancers wore a similar silver coordinated set.

Custom Mugler

Next, Beyoncé pulled inspiration from a vintage Mugler archive. The singer wore a custom robotic metal bodysuit which references one of Thierry Mugler’s most iconic looks of all time.

Every Look From Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour, From Custom Catsuits to Disco-Inspired Couture

Beyonce performs wearing Balenciaga

Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour began with a bang in Stockholm and it hasn't slowed down since. The highly-anticipated show has featured inventive set design, a decades-spanning setlist, and a plethora of standout style moments—from to archival pieces to custom looks and nearly everything in between. The star’s wardrobe has combined her signature style with the visual ethos of the album Renaissance ( think lots of sequins, silver, catsuits, and the occasional bee-inspired look). Beyoncé has also been wearing looks from brands specific to the city she’s performing in—for the UK leg of her tour she wore picks from the London-based Mary Katrantzou and Robert Wun while in Marseille, France she opted for a look by designer Simon Porte Jacquemus.

The singer has donned looks from both established brands—Valentino, Mugler, lots of Alexander McQueen, among others—as well as smaller labels like Anrealage and Brandon Blackwood. Balmain catsuits and mini dresses have been a constant throughout her tour wardrobe (in March, she partnered with creative director Olivier Rousteing to design a Renaissance couture line for the brand ) as well as imaginative pieces from Loewe. Beyoncé began the tour in Europe which has seen her in London, Paris, and other cities with the last being Warsaw, Poland on June 28th. She will then head to North America with her last date coming in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 27th. Needless to say, there will be countless more style moments to come—so, to make sure you don’t miss one look, keep checking back here as we keep track of everything Beyoncé has worn during the Renaissance world tour.

Beyoncé wears a custom Balmain look during her "Renaissance" Houston concert.

The singer packed on the sparkle in this Miu Miu look during her stop in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The tank and cut-off shorts were embroidered with rhinestones and crystals as were her fringed knee-high boots, naturally. She paired the set with a custom Tiffany & Co. silver peephole cowboy hat and HardWear drop earrings.

Beyoncé wears a custom Louis Vuitton bodysuit during her "Renaissance" world tour.

Louis Vuitton’s newly appointed creative director of menswear, Pharrell Williams, designed this glittering catsuit for Beyoncé’s Detroit, Michigan concert. The two have quite the history as long time friends and collaborators—Williams has produced songs for Beyoncé in the past and she recently attended his debut runway show for the French brand earlier this year. The custom bodysuit put a spin on the brand’s famed Damier check through glittering crystal embroidery. Williams also created custom ensembles for Blue Ivy and Beyoncé’s backup dancers.

To round things out, Beyoncé accessorized the look with equally as flashy opera gloves and above-the-knee boots.

Beyoncé wears a custom Tiffany & Co. look during her "Renaissance" world tour.

The look was created in partnership with designer Giles Deacon and featured a sculptural bodice and sheer organza gloves. She paired the dress with, of course, a custom Tiffany & Co. Twister Collar Necklace.

Beyoncé wears a custom Acne Studios bustier, shorts, and jacket during her 'Renaissance' world tour.

Beyoncé’s Acne Studios ensemble may have nailed the Barbie pink look, but it certainly did not disappoint during her Minneapolis show. She paired her reflective mini shorts and bustier with an oversized jacket and sparkling thigh-high boots.

Beyoncé wears a custom Schiaparelli feathered mini dress and cape during her Renaissance world tour.

And to round things out, the piece’s boots and gloves were connected to the main portion of the ensemble.

Alexander McQueen was a staple throughout Beyoncé’s European performances, so it’s no surprise that she’s returned to the British brand when stateside. During her Nashville concert, the singer wore a custom bodysuit, gloves, and boots complete with crystal embroidery. She stopped it off with a UFO-shaped chapeau appropriate for an alien superstar. The outfit seemed to be a shorter version of a look she wore earlier on in the tour.

Beyoncé wears a custom red David Koma look during her "Renaissance" world tour.

The singer opted for another dazzling custom look from David Koma. Unlike her previous printed mini dress from the British designer, this red number had plenty of sequins throughout as well as an asymmetrical train detail. She rounded things out with patent leather boots, a ruby belt, and pendant necklace.

Beyoncé wears a custom Ivy Park pink bodysuit during her Renaissance world tour.

The McQueen look wasn’t the only repurposed silhouette Beyoncé wore in Nashville. She opted for a pink Ivy Park jacket, halter top, and shorts that are, again, a shorter iteration of a similar bodysuit she previously wore in Europe. She also mixed in a pair of custom Tiffany & Co. sunglasses and Gedebe boots to make things even more Renaissance worthy.

Beyoncé wears a custom Valentino look during the Philadelphia stop of her 'Renaissance' world tour.

Beyoncé certainly leaned into some drama (and disco) with this custom Valentino look in Philadelphia. The focal point was the seemingly never-ending sequined train that connected to the pouf bodice of the bodysuit. She paired the flashy piece with coordinating boots, and towards the end of the show, she flew above the crowd in this look while mounted on a horse.

The singer rounded out her look with velvet gloves and a pair of Manolo Blahnik heels.

Beyoncé wears a custom Richard Quinn look during her 'Renaissance' world tour in Warsaw, Poland.

While Beyoncé has had some pretty avant-garde outfits, this Richard Quinn number may be her most “Alien Superstar” yet. The look featured legging-style pants with large crystal embellishments as well as a peplum-inspired top finished with similar adornments. However, the focal point of the ensemble is certainly the UFO-like headpiece that obscured everything but the singer’s eyes.

Beyoncé wears a custom Daily Paper look during her 'Renaissance' world tour in Warsaw, Poland.

Outfitting an entire crew and Beyoncé is certainly no small feat, but global brand Daily Paper seemed to be up for the task. In addition to Beyoncé’s look, Daily Paper designed over 100 custom tracksuits for her crew and dancers, mostly in silver reflective nylon.

QUEEN B’S RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR BECOMES THE HIGHEST GROSSING TOUR BY A FEMALE ARTIST

  • Sanskriti Airon

  • MUSIC , MASTERS OF MUSIC

Beyoncé and her ongoing world tour is making history. “Renaissance” is being recognised as the highest grossing tour ever for a female artist.

queen b world tour

As per Chart Data, Queen B’s current engagement has grossed more than $461 million USD as of writing. This surpasses Madonna’s 2008 to 2009 Sticky & Sweet Tour, which grossed $411 million USD.

. @Beyonce 's 'Renaissance World Tour' becomes the highest grossing tour by a female artist in history with over $461 million, surpassing @Madonna 's 'Sticky & Sweet Tour'. pic.twitter.com/hQZsNjDyxO — chart data (@chartdata) August 31, 2023

She released her seventh studio album, “Renaissance,”  in May, with its tours scheduled for Europe and North America in February. Five events at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London over the months of May and June grossed £33 million. Supporters crashed the Ticketmaster website due to the sheer volume of demand.

queen b world tour

According to optimistic projections about the amount of fans purchasing tickets, the high average ticket price is $700 USD and the artist’s “considerable share” of product revenues.  Forbes predicted earlier this May that Beyoncé might make more than $2 billion USD from the tour.

The numbers for the “RENAISSANCE” tour could still increase. The artist still has performances scheduled in Vancouver, Seattle, Arlington, Houston, New Orleans, and Kansas City through the beginning of October.

Well, we know her as Queen B for a reason! Don’t we?

Madonna's Final Celebration Tour Stop in Rio de Janeiro Draws Record-Breaking Audience of 1.6 Million

T he Queen of Pop held a free concert at the Copacabana Beach as a "thank you" to her fans "for celebrating more than four decades of music" during her global tour

Madonna promised her fans the biggest dance party in the world — and the Queen of Pop delivered on May 4 in Rio de Janeiro.

In March the singer, 65, announced she would be performing a historic free concert at Copacabana Beach for her final Celebration Tour show, and on the night a record-breaking 1.6 million fans watched the pop superstar perform her final Celebration Tour concert.

The show made history as, though the annual New Year's Eve concerts at Copacabana Beach have drawn larger crowds, Madonna's May 4 audience was her biggest ever, and the largest ever for a stand-alone concert by any artist, a record previously held by The Rolling Stones.

During the show, Madonna played a host of hits, including "Like A Virgin," "Like A Prayer," and "Into The Groove."

For her performance of "Vogue," the pop icon was joined on stage by Anitta, who shared her delight on her Instagram Stories .

"@madonna soooo happy for being part of this incredible moment with you," she wrote across a video of the two artists together on stage during the concert.

Sponsored by Itaú Apresenta, the concert — her first in Brazil since 2012 — "will be free of charge as a thank you to her fans for celebration more than four decades of her music over the course of the epic global run of the tour," stated a press release.

The show took place in front of the Belmond Copacabana Palance Hotel, and entry was available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Material Girl kicked off her  long-awaited Celebration Tour  at London's O2 Arena in October with an electrifying two-hour set during which she opened up about her  road back to the stage  after  her hospitalization last year  following a  serious bacterial infection .

"I didn't think I was gonna make it. Neither did my doctors. That's why I woke up with all of my children sitting around me," Madonna  said of her kids  Lourdes, 27, Rocco, 23, David, 18, Mercy, 18, and twins Stella and Estere, 11. "But the angels were protecting me, and my children were there. And my children always save me every time."

Last month the singer shared a carousel of behind-the-scenes snaps of herself with her kids ( David, Mercy, Stella and Estere all performed alongside mom during her run of shows) from their past few months on tour.

"On the day before our 80th show of the Celebration Tour I need to acknowledge my incredibly talented children who carried me through this Journey each of them bringing their own unique talent to the stage," she wrote in the caption.

Madonna ends Celebration tour with biggest ever show to over a million fans at Rio’s Copacabana beach

queen b world tour

Madonna performed her biggest ever show, closing her Celebration world tour in front of 1.6 million fans with free tickets on Rio’s Copacabana beach.

Despite starting 50 minutes late, Madonna packed over 20 songs from 15 albums into her show and was joined on stage by Latin star Anitta to perform "Vogue".

The 65-year-old began the tour in London last October   and has been performing an eclectic mix of her catalogue on dates around the world.

The Copacabana show dwarfed her previous record crowd of 130,000 at Paris' Parc des Sceaux in 1987.

queen b world tour

"Here we are in the most beautiful place in the world," Madonna told the crowd.

Pointing out the ocean view, the mountains and the Christ the Redeemer statue overlooking the city, she added: "This place is magic."

Rio spent the last few days readying itself for the performance.

An estimated 1.6 million people attended the gig, more than 10 times Madonna's record attendance of 130,000 at Paris' Parc des Sceaux in 1987.

Madonna's official website hyped the show as the biggest in her four-decade career.

In recent days, the buzz was palpable. Fans milled outside the stately, beachfront Copacabana Palace hotel, where Madonna is staying, hoping to catch a glimpse of the pop star.

By midday on Saturday, fans crowded in front of the hotel. A white-bearded man carried a sign saying: "Welcome, Madonna. You are the best. I love you."

Flags with "Madonna" printed against a background of Copacabana's iconic black-and-white waved sidewalk pattern hung from balconies. The area teemed with street vendors, and concert attendees kitted out in themed T-shirts, sweating under a baking sun.

"Since Madonna arrived here, I've been coming every day with this outfit to welcome my idol, my diva, my pop queen," said Rosemary de Oliveira Bohrer, 69, who sported a gold-coloured cone bra and a black cap.

"It's going to be an unforgettable show here in Copacabana," said Oliveira Bohrer, a retired civil servant who lives in the area.

Eighteen sound towers were spread along the beach to ensure all attendees could hear the hits. Her two-hour show started at 10.37pm local time, nearly 50 minutes behind schedule.

City Hall produced a report in April estimating that the concert would inject 293 million reals (£46 million) into the local economy.

Hotel capacity was expected to reach 98 per cent in Copacabana, according to Rio's hotel association.

Fans from Brazil, Argentina and France sought out Airbnbs for the weekend, the platform said in a statement.

Rio's international airport had forecast an extra 170 flights for the first week of May from 27 destinations, City Hall said in a statement.

"It's a unique opportunity to see Madonna; who knows if she'll ever come back," said Alessandro Augusto, 53, who flew in from Brazil's Ceara state - approximately 1,555 miles from Rio.

Madonna’s free Copacabana beach concert attracts estimated crowd of 1.6m

It was the last show of The Celebration Tour, which kicked off in October in London.

Madonna put on a free concert on Copacabana beach on Saturday night, turning Rio de Janeiro’s vast stretch of sand into an enormous dance floor teeming with many of her fans.

It was the last show of The Celebration Tour, her first retrospective, which kicked off in October in London.

The “Queen of Pop” began the show with her 1998 hit Nothing Really Matters.

Huge cheers rose from the buzzing, tightly packed crowd pressed against the barriers. Others looked on from brightly lighted apartments and hotels lining the beachfront. Helicopters and drones flew overhead.

“Here we are in the most beautiful place in the world,” Madonna told the crowd.

Pointing out the ocean view, the mountains and the Christ the Redeemer statue overlooking the city, she added: “This place is magic.”

Rio spent the last few days readying itself for the performance.

An estimated 1.6 million people attended the gig, more than 10 times Madonna’s record attendance of 130,000 at Paris’ Parc des Sceaux in 1987.

Madonna’s official website hyped the show as the biggest in her four-decade career.

In recent days, the buzz was palpable. Fans milled outside the stately, beachfront Copacabana Palace hotel, where Madonna is staying, hoping to catch a glimpse of the pop star. They danced on the sand during the sound check on the stage set up in front of the hotel.

By midday on Saturday, fans crowded in front of the hotel. A white-bearded man carried a sign saying: “Welcome, Madonna. You are the best. I love you.”

Flags with “Madonna” printed against a background of Copacabana’s iconic black-and-white waved sidewalk pattern hung from balconies. The area teemed with street vendors, and concert attendees kitted out in themed T-shirts, sweating under a baking sun.

“Since Madonna arrived here, I’ve been coming every day with this outfit to welcome my idol, my diva, my pop queen,” said Rosemary de Oliveira Bohrer, 69, who sported a gold-coloured cone bra and a black cap.

“It’s going to be an unforgettable show here in Copacabana,” said Oliveira Bohrer, a retired civil servant who lives in the area.

Hotel capacity was expected to reach 98% in Copacabana, according to Rio’s hotel association.

Fans from Brazil, Argentina and France sought out Airbnbs for the weekend, the platform said in a statement.

“It’s a unique opportunity to see Madonna; who knows if she’ll ever come back,” said Alessandro Augusto, 53, who flew in from Brazil’s Ceara state — approximately 1,555 miles from Rio.

Madonna brings 1.6M people to Rio's Copacabana beach in record-breaking tour finale

The pop diva wrapped her critically acclaimed Celebration World Tour on Saturday night with an emotional finale in front of 1.6 million fans on Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana beach.

The 81st and final show of Madonna’s 12th concert tour — which celebrated the artist’s 40-year career and paid homage to her New York City roots — gave concertgoers much of what they’ve come to expect since the show kicked off at the O2 arena in London on Oct. 14: A theatrical spectacle, tear-inducing moments, a considerably late start and four decades of generation-defining hits.

But on Saturday, the Queen of Pop once again showed the world why she’s still deserving of the title.

According to the city’s tourism agency Riotur, the crowd of 1.6 million fans who took over the sands and sidewalks of the world-famous beach — about 100,000 more people than previously expected — easily broke her previous record, when 130,000 fans saw her second music tour, Who’s That Girl, in Paris in 1987.

She’s also the first female artist to perform in front of an audience of 1 million people, according to Luiz Guilherme Niemeyer of Bonus Track, the Brazilian production company that brought Madonna to Rio.

Nearly 5,000 law enforcement officers were on standby for what some locals dubbed “the show of the century.” Several streets were completely taken over by fans, many of whom camped out for days to secure a good viewing spot.

Besides Madonna’s faithful LGBTQ fan base — several of them wearing clothing representative of a different Madonna era, such as Blond Ambition-themed cone bras or Erotica-days S&M gear — Gen X mothers and their children danced to pop music classics including “Everybody,” “Into the Groove,” “Vogue” and “Holiday.”

She also paid tribute to all the lives lost to AIDS while singing “Live to Tell” during one of the show’s more powerful moments.

The emotional and introspective moment consisted of photographs of Madonna’s friends, mentors and fellow artists who died from the illness flashing on large screens behind her. On Saturday, that list also included late Brazilian artists, including the singers Cazuza and Renato Russo and the writer Caio Fernando de Abreu.

Later in the show, Madonna welcomed to the stage Brazilian superstar Anitta , who served as a judge in the show’s highly Instagrammable — and often NSFW — ballroom runway segment.

Pabllo Vittar, another Brazilian pop culture giant , also made a surprise appearance during Saturday’s show. The global drag superstar helped Madonna kick the energy level into ecstasy levels as the duo sang Madonna’s 2000 No. 1 hit “Music,” a new addition to the tour set list, alongside drum players from the city’s samba schools.

The “wonderful” show proved that Madonna “has always been ahead of her time,” Mirelle de França, a 50-year-old journalist and longtime fan of the artist, told the Daily News.

“She was happy, radiant … and made Rio happy,” she added.

“Here we are in the most beautiful place in the world,” Madonna told the audience at the beginning of the eagerly awaited performance that promised to turn Copacabana into “the world’s largest dance floor.”

“This place is magic,” she said, pointing out the ocean to her right, the mountains to her left and the Christ the Redeemer statue right behind her.
