About Roatan ATV Jungle Tour

Our Roatan ATV Jungle Tour is an action packed shore excursion. You will explore the dense jungle canopy on the 4-wheel ATV, crossing creeks and riverbeds with running water and plenty of mud (weather dependent). You will enjoy breathtaking views of the Caribbean as you ride along the hillside landscape. As you make your way through the windy jungle trails, keep an eye out for the indigenous iguanas and tropical birds. 

Your tour guides will give a short orientation on safety and lead you through the ATV Jungle Tour. The guides comprise of a lead, anchor, and spotter, making sure you have the most enjoyable time. We have the friendliest staff, so make sure to ask for your pictures to be taken during and after the ATV jungle excursion.

We had the best day with Omar, we planned to only do a few hours of the island but ended up Spending the whole day touring with Omar, we couldn’t get enough, his flexibility, knowledge and service was too notch! We ate one of the best local lunches based on his recommendation. We will definitely be back and use Omar again to do more exploring! Couldn’t recommend Roatán and touring with Omar more than day you must come 🤩

What can I say about Omar other than he is an amazing tour guide! We made it around the entire island and got to see the best of Roatan. First and foremost Omar is extremely fun and knowledgeable about the island, you really will get a unique experience with the culture and all the yummy food. We stoped at the chocolate factory and rum cake factory and they certainly did not disappoint. If you are looking for the best food the island has to offer Omar certainly knows where to find it and you will have some of the best fish and it’s all so fresh. We also made it to the monkey, sloth, tucán and butterfly sanctuary which is simply a magical experience. Omar is one of a kind and has an amazing, friendly, warm and welcoming personality. We were sad to leave him by the end of the tour he has quickly become a friend of the family and we will most certainly be back to see him.

We had a fantastic day with Omar exploring the island. He really knows and loves his island and it's infectious! He showed us the not so touristy areas too so we could understand how people live on the island. And he was very accommodating to our wishes and tailored the tour to exactly what we wanted to see/do.

SEAGRAPE PLANTATION RESORT - Updated 2024

The six-gill shark is one of the largest but least known predatory sharks in the world and is rarely seen because they spend most of their lives patrolling depths of 300 to 6000 feet, swimming into shallower waters only at night to feed. Six gill sharks are thought to live to be 80 years old and grow to more than 18 feet and 800 pounds.

Observing one of these gentle giants from the comfort of Idabel is truly an incredible adventure. Your shark expedition begins after sunset and takes you 1500 feet down into darkness where you'll sit and wait in anticipation. Typically, after a wait of one to three hours, she'll arrive, lured by the bait attached directly to the sub. Ninety percent of the sharks observed in Roatan are female, a mystery that Captain Karl and the Roatan Institute of Deepsea Exploration are helping to solve.

This dive cannot be done during a full moon (the extra light keeps them too deep) and participants must be willing to spend quite a long time inside the sub at temperatures as low as 50 degrees.
