The blog proves that integrating tons of video content into one page doesn’t have to affect its loading speed. In fact, the site loads surprisingly fast despite having several video panels on the homepage.

I’m not going to delve too deeply into this technical feat. What I’m going to focus on, however, is the brilliant team behind The Adventurists. 

The site is founded by “Chief Idiot” — Tom Morgan. Apparently, most of the crazy ideas featured on the blog were his. 

Every page on the site reflects Morgan and his team’s wackiness and passion for great adventures. They do, host, and document daring outdoor activities on air, land, and sea — plus, a whole lot of charity.

Their audience can also participate in these activities, which can be held in various parts of the globe. The “Monkey Run,” for example, is an event where participants race through dirt trails on tiny bikes.

The bottom line is, it’s hard to come up with unique ideas that set you apart in the blogging landscape. The Adventurists, on the other hand, managed to do so multiple times.

33. Time Travel Turtle

Time Travel Turtle   is created by Australian Journalist Michael Turtle. 

Michael was born to be a storyteller and he knew it from an early age.

43. The Everywhereist

Before anything else, yes — that’s Rand Fishkin in the photo above. 

And yes, the next travel blogger on this list is Rand’s longtime sweetheart and wife. 

Geraldine DeRuiter was a former copywriter and went with Rand in his travels, which are often business-related. She then turned to the habit of documenting their travel experiences, which she described as “love letters” to her husband.

Best of the Best Travel Blogs: My Top 10 Favorites

Do you ever spend late nights staring into the bright glow of a computer screen, searching for inspiration through the adventures of other travelers? I do. Quite frequently actually.

I’m obsessed with travel blogs that excite me and it’s keeping me up past my bedtime.

No, I’m not talking about ogling over Instagram models stretched out under waterfalls or watching giggly tourists with selfie sticks riding elephants – that’s not what I’m searching for.

I’m looking for heartfelt writing, meaningful adventures, awe-inspiring photography, authentic experiences, and above all else,  honesty about travel .  These  are the things that make me want to see the world.  This  is why I  started a travel blog  of my own.

The good news is that I’ve found a few bloggers who do all those things and do them  really  well. That’s what this post is all about.

Let me share with you my favorite travel blogs that I’ve come across. Each blogger is quite different than the next, but they are  all  capable of keeping you up late into the night, fascinated by the pictures they paint and the lives they lead.

#1 –   Wandering Earl

Wandering Derek Earl Baron has travel in his blood. He’s been on the move constantly since 1999, with no signs of slowing down. In fact, he wrote a blog post in 2012  asking his followers for advice on a potential ‘home base’ and, well, it’s 2024 and the guy still hasn’t decided yet.

Earl’s blog is clean and inviting, which brings its genuine content to the forefront. He offers spot-on insight into the highs  and  lows of his life of constant travel, a refreshing perspective that’s all too often missing from mainstream sites. While his humble approach to blogging hasn’t vaulted him into social media fame, I don’t think he ever craved the spotlight in the first place.

His honest and focused posts push all of us to hold ourselves accountable and become better travelers, and that’s why I think he’s the best overall travel blogger.

And then there is Jonny Blair, the wild card of the bunch. Born and raised in Northern Ireland, Jonny knows what it’s like to live a chaotic and unpredictable life, and you can feel it in his writing. He seems to live every day by the seat of his pants and has the uncanny ability to take us all along for the ride. His and my lifestyles don’t really match up, but I have to admit that reading about his wild and reckless adventures is seriously entertaining.

But, it’s not all fun and games for Jonny – he’s battled mightily with depression and stopped work on the blog multiple times. When you dive beneath the wild adventures, Jonny seems to be an incredibly complex and genuine person who is unafraid to share his struggles with the world. It makes me think that maybe the title of his blog is a simple reminder to himself and those who share his kind of pain.

Sam Kolder is a Canadian adventurer and creator of exceptional travel videos. As a seriously talented travel filmmaker, Kolder’s videos are nothing short of cinematic masterpieces.

Kold is a channel for high quality travel content, as well as some educational videos for aspiring filmmakers.

In his travel videos, you’ll discover engaging storytelling and the best transitions you’ve ever seen. Kolder is also known for his incredible drone shots and a habit for backflipping off tall structures.

Videos are few and far between but, trust me, they are always worth the wait. My favourite travel video of all time is Kold’s Hey Tim :

Lost LeBlanc

Christian LeBlanc is another Canadian adventurer. His unwavering passion for travel shines through his well executed videos on his YouTube channel, Lost LeBlanc .

He has created a dedicated community of like-minded travellers as a result. I love that LeBlanc encourages his viewers to step out of their comfort zones in the pursuit of adventure and global discovery.

He offers a lot of resources to other aspiring travel filmmakers and photographers, teaching both the creative and business side of the travel vlogging sphere.

Formerly known as Migrationology, Mark Wien’s travel vlog is one for the foodies. He believes that food is the reason you should travel and believe me when I say that his dribble-worthy videos strongly support this claim!

His content combines incredible food discoveries with highly watchable travel experiences.

Mark is based in Thailand with his wife, but he frequently travels all over the world trying amazing food from various different countries and cultures.

He is constantly on the hunt for local delicacies and mouth-watering meals.

Phil Good Travel

In the Phil Good Travel vlog , Phil Calvert travels across Europe sprinkling positivity everywhere he goes. His aim is to promote solidarity between all backgrounds, races, and upbringings.

Given that black travellers are frequently the minority in Europe, Phil has set out to create a community of black travellers in this part of the world.

I love that he brings open-mindedness and optimism to his travel videos, and his enthusiasm is truly infectious.

Sorelle Amore

Sorelle is a quirky bundle of energy with a huge and infectious smile.

Her YouTube channel offers more than just travel, whether it’s home updates or ‘Advanced Selfie’ photography tips. In short, she wants to inspire confidence and creativity.

Her videos feel very authentic, with none of the superficial or forced feel that you sometimes get with other vloggers. Sorelle is constantly striving to be a better human, and tries to inspire others to do the same.

She recently moved to Iceland, so if you love Iceland content (who doesn’t!) then you’ll love some of her latest videos.

Brooke saward.

A travel vlogger from Tasmania, Brooke Saward aims to inspire young people to travel more, and to feel more confident travelling solo.

Brooke documents her travels on her YouTube channel in a way that feels authentic and accessible. A popular blogger, vlogger, author, and adventurer.

Eva zu Beck

Eva zu Beck is an adventure traveller and solo female explorer. On her YouTube channel Eva explores less visited destinations which are not commonly seen in mainstream travel media.

Whether it’s visiting Aleppo and Damascus in Syria, hiking the K2 base camp in Pakistan, or trekking alone through Mongolia.

Eva aims to tell the stories of those people, communities, and cultures that you don’t normally see or have access to. She encourages people to push themselves out of their comfort zones.

A truly inspiring solo female traveller and one of my personal favourites.

I Am Aileen

Aileen Adalid is a travel vlogger from the Philippines. She did what many of us dream of doing: she quit her corporate job at 21 to travel the world.

Aileen shows her viewers how to travel the world as a digital nomad, inspiring her community of travel dreamers to do the same.

On her channel, I Am Aileen , you’ll find beautiful travel videos which are packed full of tips and tricks. I love that she also shows you how to live a sustainable travel lifestyle.

Jennelle Eliana

Known as the woman who lives in a van with her pet snake, Jennelle Eliana’s YouTube channel exploded within a matter of weeks. Her travel vlog has a light-hearted feel with a strong focus on sustainability.

All her videos are shot and edited on her iPhone. I think hte lower production values of her videos provide a more authentic portrayal of van life.

She addresses the less glamorous sides of travel and I love that it doesn’t feel as curated or manufactured.

Oneika the Traveller

A thrill-seeker and travel junkie, Oneika Raymond is dedicated to inspiring people of colour to travel the world and live outside of their comfort zone. She inspires through education and engaging storytelling.

Oneika is not just a successful travel vlogger. She is also an award-winning writer, journalist, and keynote speaker – having spoken at the Women in Travel Summit and Women’s Travel Fest.

The Gee family started out when they sold everything and left home to travel around the world to become Family Travel Journalists.

The Bucket List Family travel vlog documents their many adventures and travels across the world.

They describe themselves as “just your ‘average’ family”, playing on the fact that most people wouldn’t consider their adventure-fuelled family life to be ‘average’ at all.

I’m sure that the Gee family will certainly make you question whether settling down is the best way to approach family life!

Hopscotch the Globe

Hopscotch the Globe is run by travel couple, Kristen and Siya. Until recently, they would have fallen into the travel couple section – but now they have a daughter and a dog, they are fully fledged family adventurers.

Their aim is to inspire couples and families to travel more. The couple share travel tips, destination guides, food adventures, and tiny home living on their channel.

I find their videos to be funny, entertaining, and genuinely helpful.

Wolter’s World

The Wolter’s World channel is a great destination for honest travel advice. It comprises a family of four who have lived, studied, worked, and travelled across the world.

Wolter addresses the best and the worst parts of travelling to help his viewers be better prepared.

In sharing honest perspectives, Wolter provides helpful insights into the culture and people of the places he visits.

He has a preference for showing this more realistic side of travel – rather than fancy drone shots and backflips of cliffs. There are new videos every Wednesday and Saturday.

The Makepeace family consists of Caz, Craig, Kalyra, and Savannah. They are on a mission to prove that travel does not have to stop after children.

They have travelled the world nomadically since 1997, so trust me when I say that these guys really know what they’re talking about.

Having travelled solo, as a couple, as expats, as digital nomads, in an RV, and as a family, they bring multiple viewpoints to the travel experience.

Their videos help fellow travel lovers unplug from the chaos, travel more, and create better memories – all with kids in tow.

British travel vloggers

Fun for louis.

Louis Cole is a popular British travel vlogger, recognised by his signature dreadlocks.

He’s also partial to a backflip in wonderful and remote locations. The Fun For Louis channel brings upbeat and charismatic video content.

Louis is a non-stop adventurer, creating daily vlogs – so there is a lot of content to get stuck into. You’ll find a whole variety of creative content and fun adventures on Louis’ travel vlog.

It’s exciting, entertaining, and engaging.

Mr Ben Brown

A talented photographer and filmmaker, Ben Brown documents his travels to far-flung destinations. As a result of his engaging content, Ben has achieved wide acclaim for his YouTube content.

Ben is also a professional athlete, as a two-time world champion kayaker. He is energetic and optimistic, which I think shines through his travel content.

Psycho Traveller

Birmingham-born Aly is a digital nomad who has built an online community of fellow travel lovers. The ‘psycho part’ of Psycho Traveller comes from the fact that Aly is a Psychology graduate. 

I love that Aly provides raw, honest commentary in her content, as well as helpful tips and tricks. She aims to inspire everyone – of all ages and backgrounds – to live the life they want to live.

She is also a best-selling author and public speaker.

Couple travel vloggers

The planet d.

An endearing adventure couple, Dave and Deb live by the motto ‘adventure is for everyone’. They are a refreshing change from the ‘perfect’ travel couples you see plastered all over Instagram.

The aim of Planet D is to inspire everyone to seek adventure – you don’t have to be young, fit and rich to travel. 

Their videos provide valuable information and unique experiences for anyone looking to live a more adventure-fuelled life.

Sailing La Vagabonde

Sailing La Vagabonde is run by Australian couple Riley Whitelum and Elayna Carausu. It all started with a dream of circumnavigating the globe by sailboat – with no previous sailing experience!

Riley and Elayna share video content around their seafaring experiences, including useful information for those looking to start sailing.

They inspire others to live an alternative lifestyle and also hope to raise ocean awareness. Now they have a baby in tow, so there’s a new and exciting dimension to their travels!

Kara and Nate

Kara and Nate are high school sweethearts who have been travelling the world full-time for five years. They started with a goal of travelling to 100 countries – which they have since achieved and surpassed!

The travel couple embark on all kinds of adventures – from hiking Everest Base Camp to taking the Trans-Siberian Railway.

You can also find a number of resources on travel hacking, YouTube, and entrepreneurship on their blog.

The Endless Adventure

Eric and Allison embody the classic story of leaving steady jobs to pursue a life of travel as digital nomads.

Their YouTube channel, The Endless Adventure , offers a tantalising combination of travel, food, and adventure – all of the best things in life!

I think this is a great channel for travel foodies, as they share some of the most mouth-watering food from around the world.

I have no doubt that Eric and Allison will inspire you to hit the road and pursue a life of adventure.

Flying the Nest

Stephen & Jess are an Australian couple with a passion for adventure. You’ll find a range of travel content on Flying the Nest , from daily life and food discoveries to volunteering and worldly travels.

The couple share a diverse range of travel experiences, from hiking Machu Picchu to overwater bungalows in the Maldives.

Their videos offer a unique historical insight and engaging video content. Plus, they now have a new baby to join their adventures.

I couldn’t possibly fit all of the amazing travel vloggers out there into this list. But these are some of my personal favourites and a great place to start if you’re feeling overwhelmed with all the travel content on YouTube.

As mentioned above, I do have my own YouTube channel ? It’s only in the early stages I’m already in the process of expanding it and any new subscribers honestly means the world.

Christine chose some great travel vlogs and we don’t want to mess with her, list, but when you are done here, check out some other amazing travel YouTubers! These travel personalities are not only travel hosts, they are their own travel show! We made our own list of best travel vloggers too !

1. Fun for Louis

Louis Cole initially started out enthralling (and grossing out) viewers with his adventurous ability to eat every odd delicacy that was dead or alive.

Today, this U.K. travel vlogger has taken to daily vlogs of his life, inspiring viewers to live the adventure while travelling the world.

A well-loved travel vlog hero of YouTube, not only does he make binge-watching addictive, but he incorporates 360-degree video and has his fans introduce his videos.

2. Mr Ben Brown

Mr. Ben Brown is mostly known as a YouTube vlogger. But he travels a bit and his Visual Vibes series showcases some seriously stunning travel cinematography, which will leave you breathless.

An expert storyteller, his vlogs are partly filmed from his perspective, as if you’re inside his head.

Whether skiing, motorbiking or hiking, you’ll feel like you’re moving vicariously with him, as he traipses around the world to meet up with his posse of YouTuber friends.

Ben joined YouTube in 2006 definitely making him one of the older travel vloggers (at least by channel age) out there.

The Vagabrothers are the wacky boys of the travel vlogging world.

As charismatic travel hosts revving you for the flight,  they offer a cultural soft side into the joys of travelling.

Their travel videos incorporate fun shooting styles, collaborations with other YouTubers, destination guides focused on culture, and lethal drone shots.

4. Hey Nadine

As the reigning top female travel vlogs on YouTube, Nadine Sykora knows what YouTube audiences want.

As Hey Nadine , she infuses her travel lifestyle channel with a creative flair of fashion, fun, food and entertainment.

From travel tips, to “ What I Eat in a Day in. ..” ,… to playful collaborations with other travel YouTubers, Nadine’s channel drums up an addiction to seeing just what new video she puts out next.

Mark of Woltersworld is my favorite ‘Loves & Hates Travel Guy’, sharing his unchained opinion on what travelers will love, hate and be shocked with about each city.

He tells it like it is and his honesty won’t take away your excitement in experiencing the place for yourself.

His videos are highly informative insights, which crack the travel code of each country.

7. Hopscotch the Globe

Kristin Sarah merges her acting chops with her love for travel in Hopscotch the Globe .

She’s like that fun travel bestie who’s not afraid to be a little silly. Her channel incorporates vlogging with cultural parodies and travel inspired DIY recipes.

Today, she shares her channel spotlight with her husband Siya; together, these travel partners in crime hop around the globe, creating weekly entertainment.

They’ve also recently added a baby drone into their picture!

8. Psychotraveller

If twenty-something backpacking is your thing, check out Psychotraveller .

Ally dishes backpacking travel tips, vlogs and travel budget information, all with a dose of humor.

9. GRRRL TRAVELER

Does traveling alone freak you out? Christine Kaaloa of GRRRL TRAVELER takes you inside the adventurous world of solo travel and shows you how she survives it.

Experiencing culture shock and filming it , isn’t easy, but Christine finds ways to turn her encounters of taxi scams, Asian squat toilets, airport layovers and getting sick abroad, into travel survival tips to walk away with !

Dave and Deb of The Planet D , not only live the dream of travel, but they also visit some of the most exotic places that most of us can only dream about!

This zany travel-adventure couple have blogged about adventure travel for the past 10 years, and now they’re on YouTube too, inspiring each other (and others) to take a passion for adventure to the next level. Making the list as one of the couple travel vloggers to watch.

From polar ice plunges in Antarctica to riding the fastest zipline or ballooning over the Masai Mara, their channel covers a bucket list of activities to try when you’re looking to leave your comfort zone.

Expats & Nomads: Travel Youtubers Hitting the Road

12.  gone with the wynns.

Ever think of packing up your family life and hitting the road in an RV?

Nikki and Jason of Gone with the Wynns sold it all and packed it up to hit the highway.

From composting toilets to solar powering an RV (okay, not your everyday travel story), they’ve transformed the concept of an RV travel lifestyle for YouTube.

Their videos are well-shot and occasionally, filmed like a sexy commercial (okay, not your every day RV travel video).

Recently, they’ve made a rather new change in their lives, by trading in their RV for a sailboat!

13. Samuel & Audrey

You may know Samuel and Audrey as their travel blogging aliases, Nomadic Samuel and That Backpacker .

As former ex-Korea expats, this adorable travel geek couple are on an indefinite road between expat life and nomadism.

Their channel is prolific with destination guides and food taste tests.

For audiences, who want to get their binge watching on without taking a break, they are also known to occasionally have long format videos.

Schedule: 1-2 times a week.

14. 8 Miles from Home

Inspiring us to take our dream lifestyle (and dog) abroad is 8 Miles from Home .

Sacha and Jymael are British photographers turn expat vloggers, documenting their life in Thailand.

Their vlogs are cinematic video diaries, occasionally incorporate dazzling special FX.

Recently they announced their new adventure~ a move to Portugal and a baby!

15. The Food Ranger

If you love Asian food, Trevor is The Food Ranger of Asia. An expat in Sichuan, China, he chomps and slurps some of the best Chinese cuisine (and uh, some pretty obscure foods too).

Commendable is his ability to upload regular videos while staying under China’s banned radar (YouTube and Google are banned in China).

He’s quickly growing a following as a new foodie channel to watch.

How the best travel vloggers were chosen:

Like all lists, people will wonder why they’re not on it. I’m positive I missed some good ones, but this is very loose criteria I’d be using if I were hired to cast, produce or pitch a TV show. Creators did not need to meet all criteria, but most. – Programming: Weekly dedication, quality, storytelling & individual style execution – Audience: Niche, loyalty, & YouTube friendly – Blog worthy and/or binge worthy – Does it bring a new spin to the term “travel video” or “travel show” – Channel Personality/Talent: brand recognition, hosting & entertainment value

You can’t go to Ireland and not see these top 10 Ireland attractions

First time visitors to Ireland have a lot of decisions to make. While small in size, this friendly island nation is loaded with awesome things to see and do. It’s not an easy task to decide which Ireland attractions should make your shortlist. 

In our opinion, Ireland is one of the best travel destinations for families. On our trip to Ireland, we spent 2 weeks driving around the island nation , including a few days in Northern Ireland.

This was our first time visiting Ireland, so we did quite a bit of research before our departure. We put together what we believe to be the best 10 day Ireland road trip itinerary for families .

In this post, we share the Top 10 Ireland attractions that first time visitors should include on their Ireland vacation.

1. Eat and Drink your way around Dublin

Most trips to Ireland will start and finish in its charming capital, Dublin. We really enjoyed our time wandering around the city on foot. It’s a walk-able city with plenty of things to see and do.

The top things to do in Dublin are to visit the Temple Bar district (pictured above), Dublin Castle, Trinity College, St. Stephen’s Green, Kilmainham Gaol and admiring the city’s history and architecture along the River Liffey. 

The pub culture in Dublin is so much fun.

And, the best part for families is that kids are allowed in the bars and pubs! We were able to soak up the full Irish pub experience with our boys, which was a lot of fun. Read this blog post about Ireland travel tips for families

There are plenty of things to do in Dublin with kids, including  Phoenix Park Visitor Centre ,  The Ark  and  Imaginosity  (children’s museum).

2. Sample Ireland’s finest at Guinness Storehouse

While in Dublin , make sure you visit the infamous Guinness Storehouse and sample a pint of its finest brew. 

The Guinness Storehouse is located at St. James’s Gate Brewery and,  according to Wikipedia , it received over four million visitors since opening in 2000.  It tells the story of Ireland’s celebrated beer through various interactive exhibitions.

It’s quite big, spreading over 7 floors of exhibits. You can easily spend a few hours here.

Don’t miss the art of the perfect Guinness pour on the 4th floor and make sure you drink in the 360 degree view of Dublin from the 7th floor (see photo below). If you have limited time in Dublin, you can skip the line with this tour . It will give you access to the famous Jameson Distillery on Bow Street. 

3. Kiss the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle

Without question, one of Ireland’s most popular tourist attractions is Blarney Castle. It’s a medieval stronghold in the town of Blarney, located just outside the city of Cork.

Visitors from all over the world come to this old castle to kiss its famous Blarney Stone . The reason people kiss the stone is to ‘gain the gift of eloquence’. Although I’m not sure how kissing a stone that millions of others have kissed will make you eloquent?

To kiss the Blarney Stone , you climb up a windy, narrow stairs to the top of the castle. You lean backwards and grab an iron railing to get in the proper kissing position. There is someone there to hold you and keep the line moving. There are also railings under the stone for an additional layer of safety.

While kissing the Blarney Stone is not for everyone, visiting the Blarney Castle and its surroundings gardens is a must for every Ireland itinerary.

Or, you can stay overnight at the Blarney Castle hotel , which is conveniently located within walking distance to Blarney Castle Gardens.

4. Admire the colourful architecture in Cobh

Cobh is home to Ireland’s only dedicated cruise terminal. Because if this, it’s become a tourist hot spot in recent years. Once known as Queenstown , Cobh is widely known as the final port of call for the  RMS Titanic  when it set out on its maiden voyage across the Atlantic.

Cobh is not very big. You can see most of it within a couple of hours.

There is a small tourist train (not really a train, more like an open-air bus) that takes you around town and to a few lookout points. Cobh is built on a steep hill, so this train is a good idea if you’re not keen to walk up and down hills.

Make sure you take a peek inside the impressive Cobh Cathedral (Cathedral Church of St Colman). This neo-Gothic church dominates Cobh’s skyline. While at the cathedral, cross the road and check out the Deck of Cards , a row of colourful homes. See photo below.

Other tourist attractions in Cobh are the Titanic Experience , Fortress Spike on Spike Island ,  Cobh Heritage Center  and Fota Wildlife Park .

The famous Deck of Cards in Cobh is one of Ireland attractions.

The stunning exterior of  St. Colman’s Cathedral in Cobh. It’s so tall I couldn’t fit it all in the frame!

5. Find your Castle

Every trip to ireland must include a visit to one of its castles..

We already mentioned Ireland’s most famous castle, Blarney Castle , but there are so many castles to explore in Ireland. Most of the castles in Ireland are worth seeing, so you really can’t go wrong.

If you’re doing a road trip around Ireland, which we HIGHLY recommend, you will find most castles listed on road maps.

There are literally hundreds to choose from, but the big ones are the Rock of Cashel , Ashford Castle, Bunratty Castle,  King John’s Castle , Kilkenny Castle,  Cahir Castle  (above) and  Dunguaire Castle .

King John’s Castle is a 13th-century castle located on King’s Island in Limerick.

6. Drive the Wild Atlantic Way

The  Wild Atlantic Way  is an impressive 2,500 km coastal driving route around Ireland. It was officially launched in 2014 and currently passes through nine counties and three provinces.

The Wild Atlantic Way is broken into 5 sections :

• 1 – County Donegal
• 2 – County Donegal to County Mayo
• 3 – County Mayo to County Clare
• 4 – County Clare to County Kerry
• 5 – County Kerry to County Cork

Along the route there are 150+ discovery points, 1,000+ Ireland attractions and 2,500+ activities. The most popular attractions on the Wild Atlantic Way are the Dingle Peninsula , Loop Head, Ring of Kerry,  Cliffs of Moher , The Burren, Killarney National Park, Mizen Head, Killary Harbour and Clifden, no name a few.

And, if you’re a Star Wars fan, you will find several Star Wars filming locations in Ireland on the Wild Atlantic Way.

7. Visit the Cliffs of Moher

Arguably Ireland’s top tourist attraction, the towering Cliffs of Moher are worth the hype. Located on the west coast of Ireland in County Clare, these rocky sea cliffs, along with the karst limestone hills of the Burren, are  recognized at a UNESCO Global Geopark .

In our opinion, the Cliffs of Moher, and the coastal region that surrounds them, is THE reason to travel to Ireland.

Okay, the Guinness might also be the reason.

These spectacular sea cliffs run for 14 kilometres and rise 700 feet above the ocean at the highest point. In 2019, the Cliffs of Moher saw a record 1.6 million visitors.

The drive to the Cliffs of Moher is incredible.

We zigged and zagged along the Atlantic coast, passing through traditional Irish towns and villages that are hundreds of years old. The drive from the Cliffs of Moher to Galway is about 2 hours – with a few stops for photos.

We drove from Limerick to the Cliffs of Moher and then continued on to Galway (read our Ireland road trip itinerary ).

Cliffs of Moher weather can be unpredictable, so plan for cold wind and rain (it is Ireland, after all!). Hours of operation change throughout the year. Learn the best time to visit Cliffs of Moher here .

8. Visit Sligo Abbey and Strandhill Beach

Located in the northwest of  Ireland , about 50 km’s from the border with Northern Ireland,  Sligo doesn’t always make the list of top Ireland attractions, but we think it’s worth mentioning.

Sligo Abbey, pictured above, is a fascinating ruined abbey that dates back to the mid-13 th  century. This Dominican Friary contains Gothic and Renaissance tomb sculptures and houses the only sculptured 15th century high altar to survive in an Irish monastic church.

While in Sligo, we recommend you visit Strandhill , a charming seaside village and beach town located about 7 miles form Sligo town. The tall grassy sand dunes and rocky beach are quintessential Ireland.

Other Sligo attractions include  Benbulbin ,  Knocknarea , Lissadell House, Parke’s Castle and  Coney Island .

9. Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland

Located on the northeast coast of Northern Ireland, near the town of Bushmills, the Giant’s Causeway is an area of over 40,000 interlocking basalt columns. It is the result of intense volcanic and geological activity.

It’s no surprise this mythical place has been  recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site .

We visited this popular Ireland attraction because it’s highly recommended by almost everyone we know who has visited Ireland and/or Northern Ireland.

It did not disappoint. The massive sea cliffs are truly out of this world. It’s highlight from our 2 week road trip around Ireland .

While your in County Antrim, be sure to also walk across the famous Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, watch the sunset over Dunluce Castle , taste fine Irish whiskey at the Old Bushmills Distillery and go for a ride at Curry’s Fun Park (formerly Barry’s Amusements ) in Portrush. We recommend staying in this cute seaside town .

10. Titanic Belfast

If you plan to visit Belfast on your trip to Ireland you should consider adding Titanic Belfast to your itinerary. This monument to Belfast’s maritime heritage tells the stories of the RMS Titanic through a variety of interactive exhibits and galleries.

The facility has over 130,000 square feet of floor space!

Another option is stay overnight at the Titanic Belfast Hotel , conveniently located beside the museum. You will find Titanic Museum ticket prices and Hours of Operation here .

Travel tip – before you go to Titanic Belfast , we recommend you look at when the cruise ships are in town. Plan around the cruise ship schedule. A cruise ship was in port when we visited and the museum was very  busy that day.

I was lucky to go to Ireland this time last year for ten days. Stayed in Limerick at The Savoy Hotel. We had a driver so got to see alot of the places you have mentioned. Found it beautiful, people and somewhere we’d love to go again one day. O ne of our ancestors left in 1640 Major John Welch smilexo

I was named after the port of Larne, with my name being Larne (pronounced Larnay) so I would love to visit that town as it looks absolutely beautiful

Amazon is now giving all its UK customers - not just Prime members - access to its grocery delivery service.

People living in more than 100 towns and cities will also be able to access same-day delivery without needing to be a member of its subscription service. 

This covers items from Amazon Fresh, Morrisons, Co-op and Iceland. 

It comes amid efforts from the online giant to grow its grocery business in the face of tough competition within the sector.

Prime members, who used to be the only ones who could access the service, will be given more delivery options and free shipping, subject to a minimum spend. 

US regulators are investigating the notorious meme stock investor known online as Roaring Kitty.

Keith Gill shot to fame in 2021 after he fuelled a buying spree of shares in beleaguered video game retailer GameStop. The stock passed $120 from as little as $3 in three months and saw hedge funds' positions rack up big losses.

Gill returned to online chat forum Reddit on Sunday with a post revealing he had a $116m (£90.8m) position in GameStop, telling his followers that he controlled 1.8% of the company's available stock plus call options that gave him the right to buy more.

This fuelled investor confidence in GameStop, with its market value surging as much as 75% before settling around 30% higher.

Gill's trading activities are now being examined by the Massachusetts securities regulator, while the e-trade division of US bank Morgan Stanley is considering banning Gill from its platform, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Some Lloyds, Halifax and the Bank of Scotland customers will be charged more to use their overdrafts as of August. 

The three major banks, which are all part of Lloyds Banking Group, are set to launch a new tiered system for determining interest rates which could see some customers paying an extra 10%. 

At the moment, Lloyds has a standard rate of 39.9%, but the overhaul will see some forced to pay 49.9% for using their overdraft. 

The new rates are set to be: 

The 27.5% rate currently being offered to Club Lloyds customers will also be axed. 

There will be specific criteria for each tier based on a customer's credit information and account activity. 

For those who will see a rise, the banks will introduce a temporary tier for six months, which means the initial impact will be no more than 7.4% of what they are paying at the moment. 

"We are writing to our customers to let them know we're introducing new interest rate tiers on our overdrafts," a Lloyds Banking Group spokesperson said.

"The changes mean many will continue to pay the same or less than they do today, while some may see an increase." 

Nvidia has overtaken Apple to become the world's second most valuable public company.

The AI microchip maker's share price has risen to be worth more than $3trn (£2.34trn) for the first time. 

Only Microsoft is a more valuable company listed on a stock exchange, while Apple has fallen into third place.

Nvidia shares rose 5% after a year of growth - with one share now costing $1,224.40 (£957).

Nvidia's chips are powering much of the rush into AI, which has seen it become a poster child of the AI boom.

Demand for its processors from the likes of Google, Microsoft and Facebook owner Meta have been outstripping supply. 

Nvidia's shares - up nearly 150% so far this year - are also being boosted by an upcoming move to split its stock by 10-to-one on Friday. 

Ian Coatsworth, investment analyst at AJ Bell, said the stock split will "bring its share price down and make it more affordable to investors". 

Tech companies - including Microsoft and Apple - have been racing to develop AI and embed it in their products.

Nvidia is a younger company than some of its peers, having been founded in 1993. Similar to many tech giants, it was founded in California in the US.

Britain is less likely to lose power this winter than it was last year, according to the company that runs the grid.

National Grid's Electricity System Operator (ESO) said it expects power plants, wind farms and other generation methods to be able to provide more than enough power to meet demand this time around. 

In an early outlook, it said the grid would have an average margin - the difference between supply of electricity and demand for it - of 5.6 gigawatts (GW) this coming winter. 

This means the period when demand might outstrip supply is just 0.1 hours.

The increased margins are in part because of improved capacity, thanks to a new 765km high-voltage cable that connects the UK's electricity network with Denmark.

The cable, called an interconnector, is known as the Viking Link, and started transporting wind power between the two countries in December.

New gas generation, growth in battery storage capacity and increased generation connected to the distribution networks have also contributed to the higher margins. 

Despite this, ESO's chief operating officer Kayte O'Neill has said it will still need to be "vigilant" due to uncertainties around global energy markets.

"As a prudent system operator we remain vigilant, continuing to monitor potential risks and working closely with our partners to establish any actions necessary to build resilience," she said.

The continent's energy system has been forced to reinvent itself in recent years, faced with potential gas shortages due to the war in Ukraine.

The 20 countries using the euro currency have seen interest rates cut from record highs following progress in the battle against inflation over the past two-and-a-half years.

The Frankfurt-based European Central Bank (ECB) said it was "appropriate" to trim its main deposit rate from 4% to 3.75%.

It followed an assertion last month by its president, Christine Lagarde, that the pace of price increases was now "under control".

But the Bank declared in a statement that the battle was not won - signalling data-driven caution on future policy decisions in the months ahead.

Its staff even revised upwards their forecasts for inflation this year and next.

As we have been discussing in Money this week, the cut before the US and UK could weaken the euro - potentially making Britons' holiday money go further.

McVitie's is selling a new flavour of Jaffa Cake - and it marks the first ever non-fruit flavour since the treat launched in 1927.

Shelves across the country will soon be stocked cola bottle flavoured cakes.

The new flavour will launch in Asda stores from 10 June and be available in other UK supermarkets - including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Iceland and Co-op - in the coming weeks.

Adam Woolf, marketing director at McVitie's, said: "Jaffa Cakes Cola Bottle is certainly one of our more unexpected product launches – stepping away from fruit flavours for the very first time. 

"Jaffa Cakes have always stood out from the crowd (and the biscuit aisle), but we really wanted to try something new with this one. It's no doubt going to cause some debate among our Jaffanatics, and we can't wait to hear what they think."

Are we entering an era of interest rate cuts? Probably not. Or at least, not yet. 

But the European Central Bank (ECB) which controls the euro currency does look set to make their first cut in four years this afternoon. 

And Canada yesterday became the first country in the club of G7 industrialised nations to bring down borrowing costs by lowering their benchmark interest rate. 

The UK, however, isn't currently expected by markets to make a cut until September. 

Elsewhere, oil prices remain below $80 but are slightly more expensive than earlier this week. A barrel of the benchmark Brent crude oil costs $79.10.

The good news for people going on holidays to countries using the euro continues - the pound is still doing well against the currency with £1 equal to €1.1757. 

That could go even higher after the ECB decision at 1.15pm. A pound also can buy $1.2783. 

Like in the US, the UK's most valuable companies have become more valuable as the FTSE (Financial Times Stock Exchange) 100 and 250 indices are up 0.33% and 0.41% respectively.

Can you believe we are almost halfway through 2024?

Although the rate rises that we have seen this year have slowed compared with the previous couple of years, and we have even seen some falls, savers are now able to find hundreds of savings accounts that pay an interest rate higher than inflation.

The latest data from the Office for National Statistics showed inflation was still higher than predicted, however - which means the anticipated base rate cut is likely to be pushed back again – into the second half of this year.

While bad news for borrowers, this is great news for savers.

Incredibly, the latest statistics from the Bank of England show there is over £253bn sitting in current accounts and savings accounts earning no interest at all.

With top rates available paying 5% or even a bit more, that is potentially £12.65bn of gross interest that is not being claimed by savers.

So now really is the time to move your money if you have cash languishing, earning less than inflation, especially if you can lock some away with a fixed rate, as a base rate cut will happen at some stage, we just don't know when.

Easy access

If you think you'll need access to your money, an easy access account is a wise choice.

The base rate cuts that we have been waiting for are yet to start, so the top rates on offer are still paying almost as much as they were at the beginning of the year.

Fixed-term bonds 

There is a strange phenomenon with fixed-term bond rates at the moment: the longer you tie up your cash, the lower the interest rates on offer.

Normally, you'd expect to be rewarded for tying up your cash over the longer term - but base rate forecasts have flipped this.

Fixed-term cash ISAs

A frequent complaint that I hear from savers is that the tax-free rates on ISAs are usually lower than the pre-tax rates on the equivalent non-ISA accounts – and this is particularly true with fixed-term accounts.

As many more savers are paying tax on their interest once again, cash ISAs are more popular than ever, as the tax-free rate of the ISA can still be considerably more than the interest earned after tax has been deducted on the non-ISA bond equivalents.

The renowned "50 Best" list of the world's best restaurants was revealed in Las Vegas last night - with a new restaurant taking top spot.

Disfrutar in Barcelona took the crown from Central in Lima, Peru (previous winners are ineligible and instead join a Best of the Best list).

Eating the standard menu costs £247 (€290) - with an extra £136 (€160) if you want the wine pairing.

To be fair, you do get around 30 courses.

They also offer a unique menu for your table for between €1,050 and €390 per person - the more people, the less it costs.

The 50 Best list says: "The combination of brilliantly imaginative dishes, unsurpassed technical mastery and playful presentation results in the dining experience of a lifetime, as full of surprises as it is memories."

Dishes include:

• Caviar-filled Panchino doughnut
• Frozen gazpacho sandwich
• Thai-style cuttlefish with coconut multi-spherical
• Squab with kombu spaghetti, almond and grape

Two UK restaurants made the top 50 but the UK was eclipsed by countries from across South America as well as Thailand, Italy, France and Spain.

London's Kol moved up slightly to 17, while Ikoyi, which we reported on a few weeks ago following a link-up with Uber Eats, came it at 42.
