How to get tickets to the Beyoncé Renaissance World Tour 2023 in NYC
Queen Bey is on her way to the NYC area this summer!
Our queen Beyoncé just announced dates for her upcoming “Renaissance” world tour—her first tour in over six years, so you know it’ll be one for the books!
The tour, which stops in 40 cities from Stockholm to New Orleans between May and September, is highly anticipated after the release of “Renaissance,” featuring hits like “Break My Soul,” “Summer Renaissance” and “Alien Superstar.”
The last time Bey was in the NYC area was for her 2016 Formation World Tour at Citi Field, where she performed two nights in a row.
This time, she won’t technically be performing in New York City limits, but just outside of it at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. But it’s close enough! We’d walk 500 miles to see the queen do what she does best—serve fierce looks, sing like and angel and make us dance.
Here’s all you need to know about getting tickets to her show.
When is the Beyoncé Renaissance World Tour 2023 NYC?
Beyoncé makes her stop in the New York City area at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium midway through the second leg of her Renaissance World Tour, on Saturday, July 29, 2023.
What venue is the tour being held at in NYC?
The Renaissance World Tour will stop in New Jersey at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. It’s the home field for the New York Giants and New York Jets. It has permanent seating for 82,500 people, including 10,005 club seats and approximately 218 luxury suites, which makes it the largest NFL stadium in terms of total seating.
How to get tickets for the Beyoncé Renaissance World Tour 2023 NYC
Ticketing will begin on Monday, February 6, 2023, starting with an exclusive presale to BeyHive members.
Pre-registration to purchase tickets for the New Jersey/NYC show is currently open, however. Detailed instructions for pre-registering can be found online here . The deadline to register for tickets to the NYC/New Jersey concert is Thursday, February 16 at 11:59pm ET. Once you’ve registered, a lottery-style process will determine which registered fans will receive a unique access code or be put on the waitlist to purchase tickets.
No official on-sale dates have been announced, but the type of registration you sign up for (BeyHive Verified Fan, Citi Verified Fan or Verified Fan Onsale) will determine how quickly you can potentially "get in line" for tickets. The key takeaway, for now, should be to pre-register and check your emails regularly for updates on the next steps.

Beyoncé returned to the stage for first time in four years in January
Last month, Beyoncé made her return to the stage and performed at the opening of the Atlantis The Royal hotel in Dubai. Despite the luxury experience, the singer left fans wanting more, as she did not perform any songs from "Renaissance," The Hollywood Reporter reported.
The invitation-only event marked her first concert in more than four years. She last performed at the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 event in 2018.
Beyoncé dominates Grammy nominations
The singer's tour announcement comes days ahead of the Grammys where Beyoncé leads the 2023 lineup with nine nominations, including best dance/electronic album ("Renaissance"), best R&B performance ("Virgo’s Groove") and best traditional R&B performance ("Plastic Off the Sofa").
With 28 wins and 88 total career nominations, Beyoncé now ties her husband, rapper Jay-Z , for the most nominations in Grammy history. If Beyoncé picks up four or more awards this year, she will surpass the late Georg Solti for the most Grammy wins of all time. (The Hungarian-born conductor holds the record with 31.)

Beyoncé called out by Monica Lewinsky: over 'Partition' lyric after ableism controversy
Beyoncé and Jay-Z have got "to be the most intense power couple in the history of music," Recording Academy president Harvey Mason Jr. Mason said after the nominations were revealed. "That’s music and Grammy royalty – that’s the royal family."
Their combined 176 nominations are "absolutely a testament to their talent, to their level of excellence, to their work ethic, to their level of greatness over a long period of time. I don’t even know what the next (leading) couple would be, but it’s not anywhere close.”
Beyoncé's 'Break My Soul.' Taylor Swift's 'Anti-Hero.' These are the 10 best songs of 2022, ranked.
Beyoncé noticeably was not nominated in any of the music video categories for the Grammys, having not released any album visuals for "Renaissance" since its debut.

After much speculation, Beyoncé has officially announced her highly anticipated stadium “Renaissance Tour.”
Seven years after her “Formation Tour” and five years after the “On The Run II Tour” with her husband Jay Z, the 28-time Grammy winner (and 88-time nominee!) will embark on her solo headlining “Renaissance Tour” in support of her critically acclaimed chart-topping 2022 album “Renaissance” all summer long.
The international tour will start overseas in Sweden, Belgium, the U.K., France and Germany in May before she returns to North America for 29 huge stadium concerts starting July 8 at Toronto’s Rogers Centre .
And although Queen Bey isn’t coming to the Big Apple on the run — as of now — she will get close to the City That Never Sleeps.
On July 29 and July 30 , Mrs. Knowles is set to touch down at East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium for two huge back-to-back concerts.
She’s familiar with the venue too. The last show of her “Formation Tour” was at the Giants and Jets’ home stadium on Oct. 7, 2016. That time around, she brought Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar onstage with her.
Who will she bring this time? Will she sing the same songs she did at her recent Dubai concert?
All we know is the best way to find out is live.

Where will Beyoncé go on tour in North America?
Below, you’ll find a complete list of all upcoming 26 tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets for shows where the pre-sale has already taken place.
Beyoncé opening acts
At the time of publication, Beyoncé does not have any opening acts lined up for her 2023 “Renaissance Tour” although there are rumors that 74-year-old singer Grace Jones will be joining her swirling on Twitter .
We personally can’t get enough of Jones’ seven-minute cover of Roxy Music’s “Love Is the Drug.”
In 2016, Knowles was joined by DJ Khaled on the “Formation Tour.” Two years later, she co-headlined with her husband and fellow 88-time Grammy nominee Jay Z on the “On The Run II Tour.”

Beyoncé Dubai setlist

Beyoncé “Renaissance” album
Knowles’ “Renaissance” was the most critically-acclaimed album of 2022 showing up on countless year-end lists as 2022’s best.
The 16-track album, clocking in at just a little over an hour was also extremely popular with fans as well quickly charting at number on the Billboard 200, making it Beyoncé’s seventh album to hit the top spot.
However, the record that brought the world “Break My Soul” may have more to it.
Beyoncé has hinted that the record is part of a three-part series; in a June 28, 2022 announcement she called it “Act I.”
Since the album’s release, it has undergone a few transformations.
According to Pitchfork, Beyoncé “replaced ableist lyrics in “ Heated ,” and removed an interpolation of Kelis ’ “Milkshake” on “Energy” after Kelis said she was not informed by Beyoncé and her team that her music was going to be used on the new album.”
She also reportedly dropped Honey Dijon and Madonna remixes of “Break My Soul.”
Beyoncé Grammys
Beyonce’s seventh studio album “Renaissance,” netted nine Grammy nominations for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Dance/Electronic Recording, Best Dance/Electronic Album, Best R&B Performance, Best Traditional R&B Performance, Best R&B Song and Best Song Written For Visual Media.
The nine nominations tie Beyonce with her husband Jay Z for most all-time Grammy nominations with 88 apiece.
Huge concert tours in 2023
While a Beyoncé tour announcement may trump all others in terms of hype, there quite a few exciting tours to look out for in the next few months.
Here are just five of our favorite, can’t miss concerts that may be coming to a city near you soon.

Where can you get tickets?
Tickets for the North American leg of the tour will be available through Ticketmaster's Verified Fan program. Tickets will go on sale Monday, Feb 6, with an exclusive presale to BeyHive members, according to a Live Nation press release.
Verified Fan registration is now open. Once you register, you'll be placed in a lottery system that determines which fans get invited to purchase tickets. Registration alone doesn't guarantee tickets. If you're selected, you'll get an access code the day before tickets go on sale. Everyone else will be placed on a waitlist. According to Live Nation, this process is intended to help Ticketmaster weed out the resellers and verify your account so that actual fans get priority to buy tickets.
Citi cardmembers will have a special Citi Presale after the Verified Fan process. Get more details here . Verizon will also offer an exclusive presale through their customer loyalty program Verizon Up .
Will Beyoncé be using Ticketmaster like Taylor Swift to sell tickets?
Yes, but given what happened with Taylor Swift's Eras tour (and the fact it led to Congressional hearings about Ticketmaster ’s practices), it seems very likely both Beyoncé and Ticketmaster would want to avoid repeating that mess. That most likely explains the usage of the Verified Fan system.
Where will Beyoncé be playing?
The Renaissance World Tour will hit 40 cities in North America and across Europe. Stops include Paris, London, Amsterdam, Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, and many more.
What has Beyoncé said about the Renaissance World Tour?
She just announced it was happening with a post on February 1. Her website didn't immediately contain any more details. But during the Wearable Art Gala in October 2022, she appeared to confirm it would start this summer, as a backstage tour with her mother Tina Lawson was up for auction at the event.
Will Beyoncé be performing at the Grammys (on February 5) and sharing more tour details there?
Not clear yet, but she is the most nominated artist at the ceremony . On January 21, Variety reported that “ talks with show producers are ongoing for a possible onstage appearance ” by Beyoncé.
What can we expect from the tour on stage?
Beyoncé hasn't shared that yet either, but given the artistry she put into her recent Dubai show , it's fair to say we can expect no less than excellence, elaborate costumes, and an incredible experience.
This post will be updated the moment more detail is released.

I Missed Beyoncé's Renaissance Tour Live, And The Film Really Made Me Feel Better As A Fan
T he summer of 2023 was a great one for live music, with a number of pop icons going on stadium tours including P!nk, Taylor Swift, and Beyoncé. The latter two filmmakers also adapted their concerts for film, which made it to theaters via AMC. While Taylor Swift's Eras tour broke records first, Bey followed suit with Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce . I missed the Renaissance Tour live, and the film really made me feel better as a fan.
The FOMO was real for me over the summer, as I had plenty of fans who saw the Renaissance tour. I watched with envy on social media as everyone rocked fierce outfits and enjoyed the show, while I used the funds I could have bought a ticket with to go on vacation. So when Beyonce announced the Renaissance film, I was overjoyed that I'd finally be able to scratch that itch.
And the movie did just that. Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé ran for 168-minutes, and featured most of the songs that she regularly performed while touring the world for her acclaimed new album. Additionally, the documentary also revealed the tons of work done to make such a spectacular show exist. And Beyonce's documentary has also done well in theaters.
My crowd for the Renaissance film was the perfect amount of rowdy, occasionally dancing or applauding Bey's performance without disturbing anyone's viewing experience. My friends and I dressed up for the occasion, and I finally got to see the spectacular visuals, choreography, and vocals from the show. Dancing within my seat, it felt like I was finally let it on the fun.
Case in point: the moment in every show where Beyonce tells the crowd to go on mute. Countless videos went viral during the tour, where audience member who failed to keep quiet were chastised by the fans. Being able to experience it in theaters was thrilling, especially since the documentary tested us by featuring a blooper and even a shot of Cardi B that could have easily made folks react. But I'm proud to say we stayed mute until Queen B gave us the clear and continued "Energy."
On top of being treated to the Renaissance tour from the comfort of AMC's reclining seats, the behind the scenes moments from the documentary were also quite entertaining. It was fascinating to see the hard work that went into the stadium show, and the way Beyonce's detail-oriented mind. And the sequence surrounding Blue Ivy's appearance on the tour was also quite moving. Plus there was a Destiny's Child reunion involved. And while Tina Knowles recently defended her daughter, she also had some touching moments in the doc.
Of course, my experience watching the Renaissance film can't compare to those fans who saw the tour in the flesh. And since there's also a narrative in the documentary, some songs from the show had to be cut for time. That includes a number of ballads from the start of the show, including favorites like "1+1". But considering I otherwise could have missed out on the tour entirely, I'm counting my blessings. JLo is following in Beyonce's foosteps next, albeit in a different way.
Renaissance: a Film by Beyonce is in theaters now. Be sure to check out the 2024 movie release dates to plan your next movie experience.

The Met Gala is always about who turned up, what they were wearing — and who didn’t show. This year, there were a number of fashionistas fans missed seeing on fashion’s biggest night.

Archival looks, recycled materials and lab grown jewels puts spotlight on sustainability at met gala, ethan hawke recalls thinking "we're going to meet the queen" before taylor swift's "fortnight" music video, taylor swift.
Though she’s far from a ubiquitous presence at fashion’s biggest night — her last appearance there came way back in 2016 — there’s always an anticipation over whether the world’s reigning No. 1 superstar will turn up. The fever got even hotter this year with speculation that she could attend on the arm of her Super Bowl-winning beau Travis Kelce. There was a slew of headlines in recent days speculating whether she’d turn up, but People reported on April 29 that she would be sitting this one out in favor of final prep and rehearsals ahead of the European leg of her blockbuster Eras Tour, which kicks off Thursday in Paris.
Beyoncé
Like Swift, this superstar has not attended the Met Gala since 2016, when she turned up in a skintight, latex gown by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy. The year before that, she also donned a head-turning ensemble by Givenchy. It is not expected that Queen Bey or husband Jay-Z will be attending this year, though Page Six reported about rumors that the pair will host an afterparty.
Harry Styles
The Grammy Award-winning superstar has made a mark at the Met Gala in years past (see his Gucci look below) but did not attend the big event on Monday. It’s not a huge surprise, considering Styles has kept a low profile this entire year despite a rumored romance with Taylor Russell, who attended her first Met Gala this year. The Daily Mail published images of him from over the weekend riding a bicycle in London.
Ben Affleck
Blake lively and ryan reynolds.
The onetime co-chair, who turned up at the 2022 event in a dramatic Atelier Versace gown that transformed into a second look live on the red carpet, was a no-show on Monday night. Also absent was her A-list husband, who is currently prepping for the release of his latest blockbuster, Deadpool & Wolverine. No word yet on what pressing engagement kept them away.
Anne Hathaway
The Oscar winner had a new movie out this past weekend, The Idea of You , so it would’ve been a good opportunity to take a victory lap. But Hathaway was a no show on Monday, leaving fans with only the idea of what she could’ve worn as a Versace ambassador. Her Idea of You co-star Nicholas Galitzine made his Met Gala debut and told Entertainment Tonight on the carpet that the actress “gave me a pep talk this morning. She said, ‘Enjoy it.'”

A New Chapter for Tiwa Savage: The Nigerian Singer Triumphs in the Film ‘Water and Garri’

Tiwa Savage has long held a unique position in African music as the leading female artist in the Afrobeats genius . After headlining global tours, collaborating with Beyoncé and Brandy and championing newcomers, Savage Tiwa is embarking on her next venture: starring in and executive producing her debut full-length feature film, “Water and Garri.”
Popular on Variety
The soundtrack makes heavy use of live instrumentation and ambient sound effects to create an immersive experience while Tiwa returns with her signature overtone-singing. The project includes an array of sonic elements from Afrobeat and Afropop to amapiano to R&B, gospel, and hints of mainstream trap and pop. Featured are Grammy-nominee Ayra Starr, Afro-reggae fusion artist Black Sherif, with highlight contributions from Olamide and rising Nigerian star Young Jonn.
“Water and Garri” draws inspiration from Tiwa’s eponymously titled 2021 EP, and her journey as a Nigerian-born British woman who ventured to Brooklyn to ignite her music career as a songwriter. Directed by Meji Alabi, this marks his debut in full-length filmmaking. The film also stands as an investment from major entertainment conglomerates as the demand for African content continues to rise and stabilize.
“Audiences worldwide crave well-crafted, contemporary African narratives, and ‘Water & Garri’ delivers precisely that with a fresh perspective,” said Ayanna Lonian, director of content acquisition at Prime Video. “Both Meji Alabi, in his directorial role, and Tiwa Savage , as the lead, have truly delivered a stellar debut alongside an exceptionally talented cast and crew.”
Variety caught up with Tiwa Savage in New York to discuss the film, her journey with her own African identity, challenging herself at this stage in her career, and much more.
The name of this film is “Water and Garri,” which is also the name for your 2021 EP. Why did you decide to keep the name the same; is there a connection between the two?
When the ‘Water and Garri’ EP came out, I had no idea of doing a feature film. I thought, ‘Okay, I’m just getting bored of doing music videos.’ I wanted to do a visual album. I was inspired by (Beyonce’s) “Black is King” and Kanye’s films.
Then we were like, ‘Okay, we’re going to do a visual album.’ I got the script and I was like, ‘This is amazing. Let’s do a short film instead.’ We started shooting it and it ended up being a full feature. And so I couldn’t change the name. It felt like there was nothing else that fit. Water to Garri is like love to pain and that resonates a lot in the movie. Now the EP is a standalone project and we have a completely new soundtrack for the movie.
Why did this feel like the right time now to go into acting? Had film opportunities come up for you before?
I’ve gotten many roles before but I wasn’t ready. Actually, acting was my first love before music. So I knew I was going to go back to it at some point. Why now? Honestly, I got bored. I got bored of, producing the album, doing music videos, and then going on tour and moving to the next thing. I was like ‘No, I need to do something else.’ Not completely forgetting music but I needed to be challenged. I needed to be scared. And, and this is a this is a good scare.
I also feel like, many of us, I’d say, Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, are at a place where we’ve established ourselves as household names, and at this point can do something new or do anything that we want to do.
You worked with director Meji Alabi, a previous music video collaborator, and with this being your first film, how did he support you? What was the creative and preparation like?
This is his first [film] and this is my first so it’s special for both of us. Meji was amazing. Because it started out as a short and then evolved, the pressure wasn’t there for either of us. I took acting classes in London for a couple of weeks. One of the things that they helped me with on set was [staying in character]. They made sure that everybody kept calling me Aisha. The whole team, Meji, and my partners Jimmy and Vanessa – everybody was incredible.
It’s good to know that you had like a group of people around to make you feel safe.
I’ve worked with [Jimmy and Vanessa] for years. We clicked, from day one. So they can tell when I’m a bit nervous about something and they’ll give me a shot of tequila.
This soundtrack explores a lot of Afrobeat elements but also showcases experimental concepts with jazz, gospel, and more. Was there any hesitation to stepping a bit outside of your comfort zone?
I went to Berklee [College of Music] and I studied jazz. My background is jazz and R&B — but, even though that’s my background, I didn’t start as a jazz artist. I kind of have to ease my fans into those types of genres and show them that I can do that.
You were among the first to modernize African music and bring it to the global stage and really break out of that “Afrobeats” box people tend to place African music in . On your “Water and Garri” EP, you worked with Amaarae, who is also praised for defying genres. Is that intentional?
Amaarae is incredible. I love that people expect me to be African and I’m going to always be African. I don’t have to wear dashiki or have braids ( laughs ) but I am, what I am. But yes, I like to experiment but African culture – I would either put it in my fashion or put it in my music, always. It’s because it’s beautiful to be African, I’m sorry, like, I’m not ashamed of it at all! That’s especially important in a time where some African artists are saying, “Don’t box me in an Afrobeats. Don’t call me an Afrobeat artist.” I think everybody has different experiences. Some artists were born and bred in Africa, so for them, they want to explore other things. Although I was born in Africa, I lived in London and I lived in America… when I was growing up in London, I was bullied for being African. And now, it’s the coolest thing. It’s the coolest thing. So for me, I have a different perspective. Like, I’m not, I’m not trying to shy away from it at all. In fact, I’m running more towards it because I lived away from Africa for so long.
You just spoke about having to leave home at points and go chase after your career. Your character, Aisha, reflects that experience — she leaves home for 10 years and she comes back to everything being so different. Did you at any point experience that?
I would always go back in December. [December is a high tourist and celebration season in Nigeria and other parts of Africa] And when you go back in December, I don’t really feel like you really experienced Nigeria. You’re experiencing the fun parts of Nigeria. Now when I moved back and I was there for like a few months, I was like, ‘This isn’t dirty December (laughs).’
You’ve worked with so many up-and-coming artists. You’ve previously worked with Ayra Starr and now you have Ayra on this project as well. We spoke about Amaarae earlier. You also have Black Sherif on this project as well. Is working with new artists a conscious effort or does it just happen
You’re obviously in the midst of promoting and supporting this film and it’s accompanying soundtracks but what sonic direction can people expect from your next studio album?
I’m not really thinking of collaborations right now. I’m just recording. It started off as a Afro R&B, I don’t know [the words for it in English]. It’s just music because I’ve just got so many different sounds. Now, the challenge is to tie it all and make it sound like an album, not like just different songs that I’ve just put together. So, I’m trying to find something to tie everything together. But individually, all the songs are magical and I’ve got lots of live instruments. I’m recording some parts in New Orleans and Nashville as well. So it’s a, it’s a different sound, but like I said, it’s always going to have the African element. I’m really excited because I’m not, limiting myself to anything and vocally too. I’m pushing myself like I’m singing, singing [laughs].
What do you hope people take away from this film?
First of all, if they’ve never been to Africa, they should come because the way Meji shot it was so beautiful. And I’d say not being afraid to pursue your dream. Where Aisha she’s coming from, you would never imagine that she could be anything. But she ended up being very successful as a fashion designer, but then she still went back home. So, I think the film can encourage anyone. I don’t care if you’re from the slums, all it takes is just that dream and it definitely can happen. Whatever you put out, what you speak with your tongue, it has to – it will to come back.

Tina Knowles seems to be taking a page out of Beyoncé’s book — or, rather, taking an outfit out of her closet.
The mother of the “Levii’s Jeans” singer recently stepped out at an event in Las Vegas, decked out a trompe l’oiel denim jumpsuit that looks identical to one Bey wore on her “Renaissance Tour” last summer.
Taking to Instagram , Knowles, 70, showed off the gray, acid-washed one-piece, giving a shoutout to “Love & Laughter,” a new show that features Cedric The Entertainer and Toni Braxton which opened on April 27.
Beyoncé’s jumpsuit — which she wore in Louisville, Kentucky — was a custom creation from Diesel that originally included a matching pair of gloves, though Knowles decided to skip that detail. The look also featured attached shoes and a zipper down the front.
Of course, the bold look was instantly recognizable to members of the Beyhive, who took to Knowles’ comments section with tons of compliments.
“Ate that bee lady up in her own outfit 🔥” one person joked while another said, “You in Beyoncés closet” and a third said, “SLAY! 🔥❤️ Waiting for The Miss Tina World Tour🔥🔥🔥.”
Actress Laverne Cox also joined in. “Let em know Miss Tina!!!” she wrote.
Of course, Knowles’ fashion-forward look should come as no surprise to Beyoncé’s most dedicated fans. The singer’s mom was responsible for designing some of Destiny’s Child’s most recognizable looks back in the day, including a number of coordinated ensembles they wore on the red carpet.
Back in January, Knowles also revealed that the Grammy-winning group, which also includes members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, sang to her in honor of her milestone 70th birthday.
“I even got serenaded by Destiny’s Child. How amazing is that?” she confessed in a video she shared on social media.
Earlier this year, Beyoncé officially launched her own haircare Cécred , which was partially inspired by her mom, who owned a popular hair salon in Houston, Texas in the ’90s.
