Day 1: arriving in delhi, delhi - timeless heritage and dynamic modernity.

Delhi Known for - Delhi is renowned for its culinary specialties and glorious legacy, boasting a rich fusion of cuisines and historic sites. In Delhi, our driver will take you to the old city and our guide will show you Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, and the Red Fort, all of which are beautifully preserved monuments. Before having lunch, proceed to the Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar, and other sights of Delhi. Then take the Yamuna Expressway for Agra (overnight stay).

Jama Masjid

Shahjahan’s significant work, finished by Shahjahan. Made of red sandstone and marble, this gorgeous mosque is also called Masjid-I-Jahanuma, meaning the mosque commanding the view of the world.

The Red Fort (outside only)

Red Fort was built in ten years (1638-48) by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. It once overlooked the Yamuna River, which has shrunken away with time. Scholars indicate that there might also have been a tree-lined way which is called Nahr-i-bihisht, and this river had its source in the water of the River Yamuna.

Qutub Minar

In the heart of Delhi stands the iconic Qutub Minar, a towering symbol of the Delhi Sultanate's legacy. This 73-foot UNESCO World Heritage Site is a gem of red sandstone and marble, with 5 stories decorated elegantly with balconies. Commissioned by Qutub-ud-din Aibak in 1192 AD, its completion by his successors, Iltutmish and Firoz Shah Tughlaq, immortalized its place in history.

Interesting facts:

The purpose behind the construction of Minar was for the use of mu’azzin (crier) to give calls for prayer.

The Minar contains numerous inscriptions in Arabic and Nagari characters, which narrate its history.

According to the Archeological Survey of India, the site at which Qutab Minar is located was once occupied by 27 Hindu and Jain temples

An Iron Pillar 24 feet high and weighing more than six tonnes in the mosque compound was brought from elsewhere in India. It bears a Sanskrit inscription from the 4th century AD describing the exploits of a ruler named Chandra, believed to be the Gupta King Chandragupta II (375-413). the pillar is famous for its high resistance to corrosion.

The India Gate is located in the heart of New Delhi, India, which is a tribute to valor and sacrifice. Laid in 1921 and dedicated a decade later, it honors the nation's brave soldiers. A pure marble flame Amar Jawan Jyoti memorial flows over in memory of those who gave up their lives during the Indo-Pak War that happened in 1971. Their images are being guarded by the soldiers who have become the symbol of security for the nation.

President House ( Drive Pass )

Rashtrapati Bhavan, conceived by architects Lutyens and Baker, is one of the most powerful political buildings in New Delhi. Former Viceroy’s house now, features 340 rooms, 2.5 km of corridors, and 190 acres of gardens. It was renamed Rashtrapati Bhavan after independence under President Dr. Rajendra Prasad's leadership.

I visited the Golden Triangle with Namaste India Trip with my friend Kapiel. Thanks to the team who made our trip so wonderful. The staff helped a lot, we didn’t know Hindi too much, and the team did not let us feel uncomfortable. We loved the spice bazaar of Delhi, we bought some spices for our cooking adventures. Jaipur’s Amber Fort is a dream.

We didn't stay that long at the Taj Mahal because it seemed overrated but Agra Fort was cool. We tried the street food of Delhi and Delhi is filled with dining options and cafes. The sunset was amazing at Agra. And one thing which stunned us was the ambiance of Red Fort. I visited Red Fort in 2015 and at that time there was no art museum or food joint. When we went to Red Fort it was not a food joint and an art museum but now it is all there to spend a whole day, we did not have much time but we will do it next time. But yes the price of food was high, if you compare it with the normal street food of Delhi. We enjoyed an elephant ride in Jaipur. We took a lot of pictures of the famous monuments of Jaipur, Agra, and Delhi and could not stop for long but clicked a lot for social media. The staff of Namaste India gave us the best service and made our trip memorable. We recommend Namaste India for an amazing trip experience.

The guide was friendly and told us many interesting stories about the culture and heritage of India. One special thing I want to mention is that the staff cared for the food we ate. We were sacred of Delhi belly but we didn’t eat too much spicy food. The staff provided us with good food which nourished our souls. Hoping to come with our Kid next time. Indeed, my trip to Golden Triangle India by the Namaste India Trip was the best thing in my life! Speaking English is not my native language. Coming from China, I did my best, but the staff made my trip an unforgettable one. The food was of the highest quality in Jaipur and I couldn't control myself snapping a lot of pictures.

Furthermore, I cannot help saying Indian noodles are a slightly better choice than Chinese when it comes to spices. It has been a wonderful journey from Agra to the Golden Triangle and I loved encountering the beautiful markets, the grand architecture of palaces, and the countless monuments. I've already decided that I'm going to bring my friends the next time we visit. While the communication between China and India may be complicated, the kindness of the tourist driver and the Indian friendliness to me personally is remarkable. I wouldn't say I was surprised but right now I feel like India is going to be forever a part of me!

On our 5 day Delhi Agra tour from 23rd to 27th December 2023, we had comfortable bus for travels, good hotels, timely and great breakfasts, meals and tea/coffee. A Christmas party was also arranged by Veena World and we had lots of fun. Our tour guide Sagar Chachad entertained us with lots of travel stories and jokes during the journey, there was never a dull moment! Our 2nd tour guide Monish Patil was a very patient and happy person who took great photos for us. Thanks to them both, we could visit all the planned locations without missing even a single one. Delhi Agra Tour of Veena World -I can say was an amazing historical joyride that imbibed pride in our culture, people, and system. To begin with the first day, Tour managers Mr.Advait Naik and Mr.Pranesh Sawant were very welcoming. As soon as we landed at the airport, we were exhausted, they made sure to refresh our mood with Tea and then en route lunch. Throughout the Tour, they looked after us. The hotel arrangements including food and other services were excellent! Itinerary (Day Wise)

Delhi – fatehpur sikri – agra (2 nights).

Tour guests will arrive at Delhi airport as per their scheduled flight. Upon arrival they will meet Veena World tour manager at the airport and proceed to Agra – a city on the banks of the Yamuna River. Joining and Leaving (J&L) tour guests will join the group on their own. The transfer charges to reach the designated place or hotel will be borne by the (J&L) guests. Enroute we visit Fatehpur Sikhri and witness the glorious history of India. In the evening we have a short Meet & Greet session.

Today we visit Taj Mahal – considered to be the epitome of the Mughal, followed by a visit to Mehtab bagh – a beautiful garden overlooking the Agra Fort and Yamuna River, provides a picture-perfect view of the Taj. Later we visit Agra Fort – one of the UNECSO World Heritage Sites in India. Further we see the famous Inlay work display.

Today proceed to Mathura and Vrindavan to visit some famous and divine temples. We then proceed to Delhi – The capital city of India. Upon arrival in the evening we visit Akshardham Temple and witness the spectacular sound & light show.

Today we visit Ugrasen ki Baoli – a famous step well. Later we have free time for shopping. It’s time now to say goodbye to our travel companions. It’s time now to say goodbye, Phir Milenge! Let’s stay in touch with each other through email, phone, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, etc. and meet again on yet another memorable Veena World tour. See you all! Tour guests will proceed to the airport as per their scheduled group flight departure time and start their journey back home. Joining and Leaving (J&L) tour guests will leave the group after the scheduled program. The transfer charges to reach their respective airport/cruise/rail/bus terminal will be borne by the (J&L) guests. Tour concludes. Please note: Airline: On group tours, we generally fly with the airlines that are group-friendly. Group tours are based on economy class, if you wish to travel by Premium Economy / Business Class / First Class, we can arrange the same at an additional cost subject to availability. During your air travel, refreshments and meals are provided as per the airline policy. However, we recommend you to carry dry snacks of your choice for the flight journey. Transport: For transfers and sightseeing we use small cars / Tempo Travellers / Mini or big coaches depending on the respective tour group size. The seating arrangement in the coach is based on booking priority. Seat numbers 1 & 2 are reserved for Tour Managers and Tour Guides. Seat numbers 3 & 4 are reserved as Prime Seats which can be availed by paying an additional cost. In case of small cars there will be 4-6 guests in one car as per the capacity and guests occupy the seats on rotation basis. If you wish to utilise the vehicle solely for yourself or your family or you would like to upgrade the vehicle, we can arrange the same at an additional cost subject to availability. Sightseeing attractions: Given the current dynamic situation, some monuments or sightseeing places may be closed temporarily without any prior notice. Sometimes due to rush or changes in the reservation system, entrance to the sightseeing attractions may be unavailable; in such cases, every attempt will be made to visit an alternate sightseeing place if possible or refund of the entry fee will be given. Hotels: The hotels on tour are comfortable and have been appreciated by Veena World’s guests in the past. Kindly check your respective hotels before booking your tour. Room Sharing: Sometimes, two single unfamiliar travellers (gender - alike) share a room, should read the instruction paper along with the terms & conditions and abide by the same. Meals: On tour, we provide all meals, from day one to the last day, as mentioned in the itinerary. In case of early arrival or late departure due flight timings, guests will be provided an additional meal/s without any extra cost. In case of connecting flights, if the transit time exceeds beyond three hours, guests will be provided with a meal/meal coupon. Generally, meals are provided in the restaurants. On certain occasions, packed meals will be provided for the ease of itinerary operation/sightseeing. Breakfasts are generally Indian or Continental whereas, lunches and dinners are in the form of set menu and are Indian OR Indian along with a regional dish OR regional cuisine OR popular street food. At religious places due to restrictions, only vegetarian food will be served. At all other places, meals are a combination of Vegetarian or Non Vegetarian food items.

🕙 Day 1:- Delhi To Agra Drive Via Mathura/Vrindavan

On the day of your arrival in Delhi, our driver will pick you up from the hotel/airport/railway station. From there you will move towards Mathura & Vrindavan which is a 3-hour drive and 190 km from Delhi.

Note: Mathura Vrindavan Temples Remain Close in the Afternoon time: 12:00 p.m to 3:30 p.m

At Mathura, visit Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple for 1 hrs: Visiting timings- 6 A.M to 12:00 P.M & 4:00 P.M to 8:30 P.M
At Vrindavan tour of Iskcon & Banke Bihari Temple till 1:00 pm: Visiting timings- 6 A.M to 1:00 P.M & 4:00 P.M to 8:30 P.M

You will be picked up at around 05:30 Hrs from your place to Agra sightseeing tour . After completing a smooth travel time of around 4 hours you will reach to the Agra. On arrive in Agra around 9:00 am, our experienced guide will accompany you. The one day trip from Delhi starts with visiting the Taj Mahal, this remarkable structure constructed of white marble, and signifies purity, love, and pain, like no other architecture, does. The Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore called the Taj Mahal “a teardrop on the cheek of time.” Because of ShahJahan, treated his queen an indispensable part of his life, but the death of Mumtaz left the terrible impact on the mind and soul of the king. After Taj Mahal visit, we will proceed you to Agra fort – Built by Emperor Akbar in 1566, proudly stands on the banks of the Yamuna river. The fort houses so many fabulous palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan; assembly halls, such as the Diwan-i-Khas; and two most marvelous mosques. Around 1:30 pm proceed for a buffet lunch at the restaurant of 5* Star Hotel. Later proceed for the short trip to Fatehpur Sikri, a well conserved red sandstone town was the alienated capital of Mughal emperor Akbar, built in 1569 and barren when its water supply declined. The sites to see within Fatehpur Sikri are plentiful named as the Buland Darwaza , the Tomb of Shaikh Salim Chisti, and various conspicuous monuments. Fatehpur Sikri is one of the memorable monuments, which is ageless and has rightly acquired the status of a world heritage site. In the evening, you will be free to explore the Agra’s wealthy heritage of handicrafts. Agra is renowned for its marble and soft stone inlay work, leather stuff, Brassware, and carpets. Semi-precious and precious jewellery in ornate Mughal approach is also available. Lastly, around 8:00 pm, we will transfer you to the Delhi hotel and with this your Delhi to Agra tour package by car ends here.

He was very polite and offered amazing facts into Agra Fort as well as Taj Mahal! By the way, to view the Taj Mahal, Mr. Ravi idea of going early morning was splendid! Amazing agra tour.

We spent a magical day in Agra with driver Bantu and tour guide Feroz today.We were picked up at 6am from our hotel and transported at lightning sped to Agra where we met the guide in front of the Taj Mahal. Feroz was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. We then went to have an authentic lunch altogether before heading off to Agra Red Fort. Again, we were so impressed with Feroz'sintimate knowledge of the history and the site itself. This is a family run business and they put their heart and soul into it. We returned at almost 10pm because Bantu kept stopping so we could take photos of other interesting sites! He even offered to take us straight to a late dinner before returning us to the hotel. Top marks guys! So special.

"Sikandra" was built by the Great Mughal Emperor Akbar, It is rich in architecture & constructed mainly from a deep red sandstone, enriched with features in white marble. Continue drive to Agra which is 14 Kms from Sikandra. On arrival check-in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure or you can explore the local market, Overnight stay at hotel.

Sightseeing tour

Morning after breakfast we will take you for sightseeing tour of Agra, Including Famous "Taj Mahal". The Taj Mahal is widely recognized as "the jewel of Muslim art in India" and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage. It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his third wife Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal incorporates and expands on design traditions of Persian architecture and earlier Mughal architecture. It took 22 years to complete.

In the afternoon we will take you to visit Fatehpur Sikri which was served as the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 to 1585. Fatehpur sikri was built by the orders of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. While Akbar himself was illiterate, he took a keen interest in literature, architecture, and the arts. Late evening back to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Departure Transfer

Morning after breakfast, will take you to "Agra fort". Agra fort is originally brick fort held by the Hindu Sikarwar Rajputs. (Sikandar Lodi was the first sultan of Delhi who shifted to Agra and lived in the fort. He governed the country from here and Agra assumed the importance of the second capital).

Later check out from hotel and drive back to Delhi.
